My wife and I were in town for our wedding anniversary and found this place to eat. The atmosphere is homey, the staff very attentive and the food came quick and was delicious. Thanks for a nice memory.

We rolled in here on a weeknight after 10pm. The lights were on and we needed something to eat. The staff was incredibly friendly, the kitchen was closed, but they made us amazing deli sandwiches and the craft beer on tap was amazing! Thanks for a great experience.

We were out for a drive and stumbled on the Amber Lantern Brewing Company. What a pleasant surprise! The Bartender/waitress was VERY FRIENDLY! The beer and food was well worth the $$!

Stopped here on our way back from Letchworth for a bite to eat. We were so happy we found the place! They brew their own beer and it's delicious. Great options for food. We got burgers and they were great. I stopped at the door and ordered to go. 10min and BAM everything was done and done to our order. We will be stopping here again. Awesome.

I got a great experience at Amber Lantern today, which I discovered completly random. I am a tourist traveling in US and I stopped in this small city to grab a coffe to go. When I saw the pub, it really got me with its look. I always liked this family vibe which I was only able to see in the movies. People there were very nice and we talked like we knew each other since forever. I definetly recommend this place if you are near by

How unfortunate that in the middle of a global pandemic someone should complain about plastic glasses. This brewpub is serving some of the best locally brewed beers and ales in Upstate NY. Can't wait until the owners open their new location in the Strange Design building in Geneseo, NY. Tom and Kristi - are the owners. What wonderful people. Real Americans doing the best they can in a once in a hundred year calamity. Cheers to the Amber Lantern!

Food was very good and reasonably priced. It's a small (craft) beer list but they are equally as stellar as the food! We will certainly be back.

Drove by and saw the lights on when every other place was closed up. From the minute we walked in, we were welcomed as if they had known us for years. The chef offered to keep the kitchen open so we had a homecooked meal and between the staff and other patrons, we had such a great time, it was difficult to leave! Highly, highly recommend this place both for food and drinks and for the people who make it all happen. I wish we had a place like this back where I live!

Hard to say what was better about Amber Lantern: the quaint old school ambiance, the clean bathrooms, the crispy fries, or the easy conversation between the staff and customers at the bar. Well worth the stop, especially after discovering that the nearest gas station had no public toilets!

Food and service were very good. Ambiance was a little lacking. Could use some music and actual lanterns. Tables were bare with some old armchair lamps. Drinks were mixed well but served in plastic cups with straws. Kinda felt like I was getting a kiddie drink.

You might want to fix your website link it leads to some Japanese website about children or something it's not even in english.

Beer was very good, but the place was too small. Band was a little too loud, could barely speak to anyone.

Ham an Mac n cheese wrap lacted consistentcy but the ultimate grilled cheese is to die for.

This was my first experience at a brewery where 1. The waitress did not know which beers were from their brewery, 2. There were zero beers available from their brewery, 3. They told us OSB Pear Cider was theirs (it's not), and 4. No IPAs available on tap, in a bottle, or can. Food was decent but prices are high - $18 for a burger and fries. $6 onion rings we're good and well-priced.

They are tragically understaffed. The one woman that was combination bartender, bar back, waitress and busser worked like crazy to keep it all under control. She deserves tons of praise AND help. The food wasn't served as it was described on the menu. Prices were good.

Foods very good but / most time the service is questionable

The beers are decent and service was friendly at first. However, after waiting more than a half hour for our food the server finally explained that the fryers had been used to make wings and therefore our food couldn't be prepared. This didn't make much sense because people who came in after us were getting served orders that included fried food. We finally just said we'd pay for our beers and leave after getting closer to 45 minutes. The server was apologetic but another employee made sure to loudly say, "Do you just want me to throw away all this food then?" where we were sure to hear her.

Both the bar and tables were moderately busy when we walked in. Most everyone was drinking beer and wine...didn't notice a bunch of time consuming cocktails around. We sat at the bar. The bartender was busy at the computer screen with her back to us....and it stayed that way for nearly 10 minutes while 2 more customers came in and also sat at the bar....she was so engrossed with her screen work she never addressed us nor the newest customers. Not so much as a smile and "I'll be right with you". And it's not like the place is so big you wouldn't notice the door opening followed by a swoosh of cold air coming in! When she finally turned around (we were literally right behind her at the bar) the bartender didn't even acknowledge us and went straight to the customers who came in 5 minutes after we did. After serving them and having little chat with some obvious regulars and a man who appeard to be a manager? Owner? Alas!! Her royal highness turned and graced us in all her glory with a grump face in her frumpy oversized flannel. I asked for a Jameson on the rocks and she spun into action with the veracity of a dying 🦥 sloth....apparently unable to manage taking a drink order from the very not invisible person obviously sitting with me. Poor dear thing, such a daunting task to ask of her after working so hard tapping away at that computer screen! Eventually we both ordered a Jameson on the rocks, which came in huge rocks glasses with lots of rocks and just enough liquor to cover the bottom of the glass. By the time the once wonderful whiskey had made its journey through the shattered glacier in my glass it arrived to my pallet watery and degraded, tasting more like stale, melted ice than a fine Irish whiskey. We had planned on getting an appetizer or two, but we weren't given menus and we both left our phones in the car. Didn't want to bother the miserable bar maid anyway....she definitely looked the type to "accidentally" spit in your soup. Really a shame...The Amber Lantren is the only pub in this little town as far as I know of...and the place has massive potential. But from my experience here the Lantrens light is a dwindling one at best. The customer service is pathetic....nobody appears to be in charge or care. Do yourself a favor....go a few doors down to the liquor store or a few in the other direction to the 7-11 for a beverage, then hit Tops for some cheese and crackers. You'll save time and $ and if you look in the mirror you got a better chance of getting a smile than you do in this place!!!!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! Waited 20 minutes just to get our drinks which me and my friends never received. The bartender seemed more interested in making small talk with the customers that were already there then simply bringing us the drinks that we ordered when we got there. When we decided to leave she then proceeded to tell us that she was just heading over. She also seemed like she was on something. Not friendly nor accommodating. First and last time I will go there. I recommend hiring someone that actually cares about customer service.

Business never the same since they canned the entire staff via text a couple years ago. They went to social media with new staff members posting unprofessional posts. The community got wind and upset about it and post by the the owners was deleted. Trashy way to run a business in a small town where everyone knows everyone. I would stay away if possible.

I got the loaded fries they were cold stale and seemed to be burnt left overs from the night before. Absolutely unacceptable. If I'm going to spend $10 on cut up potatoes there should be at least one good thing about them.

Already a bit annoyed as that meant we had to wait for the cook to make the order for the big group before we got ours, but not the end of the world. But then we continued to wait and still she didn’t come back. Eventually a different waitress came over and took our order. After 40 minutes during which all the other tables apart from the big group had left, leaving just us and the big group which had already eaten, the food still hadn’t arrived and the first waitress had gone into the kitchen to get her own food and had come out and was just eating at the bar ignoring is, while the other waitress had disappeared. We asked her where our food was - turns out they never put it through, and never bothered to enquire why two young parents would still be sitting there with almost empty drinks just waiting. She then told us we could “wait even longer” - even though we just ordered a salad and a burger and there was only one other table in there at this point - or “just leave it”, which seemed a clear hint we should go. Seems like we offended the waitress somehow. No idea how, maybe she didn’t think we should be there with a baby or maybe it’s because we’re not American, but I’d choose one of the other options in town if you’re visiting just for a night or two.

Was poorly treated insulated discriminated against being partly deaf and misunderstanding her sign language that she thought I understood.And then charged, twenty two dollars per beer, and told the leave dont waste your time / money on crappie beer and a bartender that tosses it out and can't take it ps 44 dollar's for two 10oz beers left a dollar tip and could here them talked behind my back all the way out the door couldn't make out what they were saying might want to check your cams and register will be reporting to the state liquor authorities and talking to a well, discrimination, attorney as well.This is completely uncalled for and will not be tolerated
