It was a dive but the food was great , fresh and hot! The place was clean inside too. This is one for the TV show diners and dives. I suggest the mash potatoes. And gravy . I got the french frys daughter got mash potatoes , they were great.

Always hot fresh chicken and now Spicy tenders! Clean tables, floors and restrooms. Friendly staff very attentive to customer service! My go-to place for fried fresh (never frozen) chicken!

It is a great place to eat. They are very nice and when you get your food it Hot and fresh. Even if you can't go side. You may have to wait a little bit inline at the drive-thru. It is well worth the wait.

The cashier was friendly and patient. The chicken and jalapeno poppers were good.

Oh my goodness today we went through the drive-through and I saw a sign for boneless hot wings and we thought it looked interesting so we ordered some I had only gone through the line to get a couple of teas and a snack pack but OMG 🤤 they were so delicious! They were not hot like you would think hot wings would be no sauce on them but the seasonings that they used just made it taste unbelievably good and I can’t wait to get more and I hope that they keep this as a regular item on the list!! On a sidenote I don’t know why this chicken express fries taste way better than the Springtown one but they sure do lol 😋

Thank you Chicken Express for a great meal and service. We stopped by to fulfill our craving for Chicken Express and some sirendipty seasoning. We decided to order and eat outside on the lawn area so we can let the pets out. Mr Stuart generously brought us some tenders for our pets. We talked for a minute and he mentioned he is the owner and founder of Chicken Express. We were in awe when we heard. Very nice man. He went back inside the restaurant and we finished our meal. Later his two friends ( realtor and ex-DPS) came out and talked with us and he told us how much he cares for pets. It was a great day coming into the metroplex and having this experience and interaction with people we had never met. Thank you.

The tea is cold. The fried pickles and corn nuggets are hot and fresh. They are quick to get your food. Try it all with serendipity, I promise its amazing!

I did the drive up order where you park to get your order. The person over the intercom was kind and professional. The gentleman that brought my order was very pleasant as well. Our food was hot and fresh. The chicken was juicy and very savory.

We used drive through, and I had to repeat my order a few times. However, I'm still rating 5* because the food is amazing, and it only happened once out of the 2 times I went. Their regular sweet tea is a little too sweet, BUT their half and half sweet tea is perfect in my opinion. The chicken tenders are amazing, and so is their gravy. Definitely recommend checking them out if you get a chance.

I LOVE Chicken Express! Everyone thinks I'm crazy for not getting Chicken Tenders and gravy. But I love their Fried Chicken and biscuits. We got the family 16 piece with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Corn Nuggets (the Best!), and Macaroni and Cheese. Always GREAT Fried Chicken.

Wow! The best Chicken Express! The staff is so nice and helpful! They took great care of our family tonight and made sure we we had enough food to eat. They hooked us up with an abundance of food! The chicken strips and fried pickles were so crunchy and GOOD! This is our favorite restaurant! First class all the way! Very clean too! Praise God for this great place!!!

1st day of moving, it’s 9:15 on a weeknight & Chicken E staff was more than happy to prepare enough food for 6 starving adults! I stopped at 3 other establishments & was told by each one that I could purchase whatever they had left for the day, but they would not be cooking anything else for the evening since they all close at 10. We’ve always loved Chichen E & we definitely do not go to any other establishments that serve chicken now. Great staff, very friendly & the food is always fresh & flavorful. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love their fish basket, complete with hush puppies. For fast food they truly have stepped up the game, and they are just one of the few that fixes a true fish basket correctly. Having grown up fishing, this takes all of the work out of it, since I leave it to them to fix mine. Well done Chicken Express.

Good food and if the drive thru is backed up, there's stall parking but I always tip $1 if I order there. Staff is always nice and reasonable prices. I usually get the dinner portions (2 sides but no drink) and then a tea on the side since its $1.

I went here at 1030am on a Saturday. All the food was very fresh and they had somehow managed to completely staff this restaurant with friendly hard working staff. They also have Sonic style drive in spots. They had options I hadn't seen before, like spicy tenders. This must be the best Chicken Express location in North Texas. I'm impressed

I ordered around 10 of the Mega meals (400 tenders) and tons of sides/tea to feed all our employees. The staff at ChEx jumped into action and in about 1 1/2 hours they had the orders ready, packed and hand delivered to my vehicle. Great Job Weatherford Chicken Express!! Our employees really enjoyed this simple but delicious meal. Say what you want about chicken express. It’s consistent and pretty good food and their staff is always helpful.

Good fried food and pretty quick. The older lady that may be the manager is never friendly at all and seems like your order is a burden to her. Or it would be 5 stars.

Ordered 4 boxes, but only rang up for 3. They were quite busy for the dinner rush, but everything was hot and correct for the food we did get charged for.

The chicken is great! I usually love this place, but my fish was so burnt & hard I could not eat it. Go ahead and try it, everything else is good!

Used them for work and had a very large order. Service as impeccable and the food was ready to go. They crushed it!

The Weatherford store is staying real on the prices and not trying to gouge the customers by upping their ice tea at the same price pre- pandemic to date. Don't believe me, go to FW and stop in a CE. They are charging $0.25 to $0.50 more for the same franchise cup, ice and tea! Greed!

Great food, but should really hire some nicer people. Had a bad service experience 3 visits in a row, having done nothing to deserve it 😕 sucks cause it’s one of my favorite places for chicken.

If it hadn't been for the service being a bit rude with my father who speaks broken English this would have been 5 stars. Food is great and lobby is quite clean. This is a great place for some true southern sweet tea.

I love their chicken livers, but haven't had any in over a year (long, boring story). Today I was hungry, near a Chicken Express, and it was time to break the fast. "Fast" is NOT what the drive through line was like. "Helpful" is not a word the young man on the other end of the speaker knew anything about. The good news is that they do still make some awesome livers... if you don't mind waiting for them (by the way, my visit was on a Saturday around 1:45 - not exactly rush hour).

The service was excellent, but my food was cold & old. Heated it back up and it was good though.

The young lady at the front counter was very nice! If I could rate just her she would get a 5 star review! Now .... One of the guys on the line that wears a hat.... His attitude should change! He was throwing things, stomping around, and he went to grab something out of the cooler and slammed the door so hard I'm surprised the door is still on the hinge! I come here with my kids door dinnerand the whole time all I hear is stuff slamming! Just crazy!

I took a friend here today, the food was delivered pretty quick, which was awesome because we were on our lunch break. The young lady was really nice. The food looked and smelled really good. I hope that helps.

One of the good ones. Edited and changed from last review because today they forgot our gravy. Which yeah okay sometimes happens, I can see that, but we also got the spicy chicken and it was so spicy it hurt to eat. It was also a little on the burnt side. If anyone wants to try the spicy chicken done correctly. Go to the Chicken Express in Saginaw or the one off of 287 in Arlington close to the Kennedale High School. Those places do the spicy chicken the right way, its spicy yet you can still taste the seasoning. This batch was just so spicy you couldn't taste the chicken, your sides, or even the sweet tea.

The oil used on my fried pickles was awful and I assume it was just due for a changing, but my food was inedible. Way to greasy and not at all attempted to make em at all with any care. Very sad, because the tea was very watered down as well, and thats the one thing i depend on is the sweet tea.

The 8 piece chicken with biscuits cost $23.20. Chicken meat was dry with crunchy hard skin. Biscuits weren't fluffy, not served with honey and butter.

Well lately whenever I go to Chicken Express my Fish Dinner be barely WARM & I Know it use to be HOT.. So I'm play complaining any more because it didn't change a thing.. I just switched where I get my Fish Dinners.. God Bless Your Establishment 🙏🙇‍♀️😇🙌

Chicken E is always good :) Good food, good sweet tea, good service. No dining in which is why I didn't give it more stars. PLAN-demic still screwing everything up and Mask-Tards are still everywhere, unfortunately.

Pulled up in the outdoor order area and simply ordered 3 teas. Took 30 min to get them!!!!! Not so easy to sit patiently when you have a toddler and an infant, both screaming/crying!!!

If the business hours say open till 10pm, I wish they'd stay open till 10pm. Tonight was the third time we've run up for drinks 15 minutes till and they were already closed. Not a total deal breaker but very inconvenient.

Very nice business on the outside. One if the first things I noticed inside is that it's hard to hear in the restaurant because of the design. Had to repeat my order a couple of times because of it. My food was ready within the minute, but since I ordered a side of green beans they decided to put it in my meal box, which I believe allowed them to chince on the fries, because other locations usually fill it up rather well vs the tiny bag I was given. Food freshness was subpar with this order. Especially my chicken. Kinda room temperature and crusty. Not as satisfying as I'd been hoping for, because I was anticipating an order for a couple of days beforehand.

Used to be 5 stars. Over the last few years they have started forgetting items or giving the wrong sizes more often. They'll still charge you for them.

Delicious chicken and mashed potatoes but on more than one occasion they forget serendipity packets when I specifically ask for it.

Everything tasted like it was fried in oil that needed to be changed or filtered. Not good. Fish had been in warmer too long. Won't be going back.

Most days I’ll sit for about 5-8 minutes before they realize the button has been pushed, if I don’t go threw the line at the window I most likely will spend about 15 minutes before I get out of there with my food! The food is great but they are horrible at customer service.

$9.19 for four of the smallest tenders I've ever seen. And some old tenders at that! The fries were decent, but for $9.19 I wanted more than decent fries. That was a $5 meal at best. Speaking of which, Taco Bell is running a $5 box with three good size items in it, McDonald's, well they always have some deal going, Arby's has $5 deals going, come on Chicken Express, who do you think you are? Get with the deal program and I'm not taking 25 tenders for $30 thing, we need a good lunch deal. Won't be back anytime soon.

The food is fair . The corn on the cob was WATER LOGGED BIG TIME...no flavor at all. The staff was amazing. We had to wait for our order. They gave us the choice yo.take what we as ready or wait. We chose to wait. They were prompt, good to their word, helpful and friendly.

We go here every time we are in town to get my sister french fries. We normally have nice people but today i got such a rude person bring me out good to the car. She was rolling her eyes the whole time and go very frustrated when i asked for a small coke instead of a large because the large will not fit in my sister’s car seat. i also asked for a straw because they forgot one and she was also every rude about that.

Getting chintzy, stingy with chicken tenders & fried okra. I know price of chicken going up but 4 tiny tenders for $11? Never again. I will get chicken pieces much better value. If I want tenders go to places that sale by the pound. So very very disappointed. Guess all Chicken Express stores going downhill

I am not very happy with y'all because I order 6 biscuits and I was supposed to get 6 rolls with my meal. I would like an refund or my rolls and biscuits for free.

I don't know if they got new cooks or what buttt the chicken had to much salt and the mashed potatoes were runny. Big waste m money💰. I've been going to chicken exo GB since they opened there first place in Benbrook. Hopefully they will find out the problem and get rid of it

Following food safety must not be a priority at this location. The girl who worked the drive thru window had piercings on her face. We also received less product than other locations give. When we called the manager about this, she stated they always give thawt much and have a diffeent owner than other locations. No explanation for the piercings allowed for employees handling food. This location needs a reefresher in food safety.

I love the food. I tried to get some today. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes and no one came to help. I turned around and left. That’s the first time that’s ever happened to me.

The food used to be ok. But now the employees don't care. I watched one young lady there, I believe her name was Vanessa... Marquez? pick her nose & not wash her hands, back to touching food. All the while loudly discussing inappropriate sexual talk, I don't care to hear her boast about who all she's had sex with while I'm trying to eat. I won't go back there ever again.

I'm about to three piece fish dinners the okra was so hard you couldn't eat it the fish was burnt on the ends mehcad enjoyed it they need to be thankful I gave him at 2 and that was because of the tea....... Update 3-7-23.. picked up chicken two-piece dinner couldn't wait to get home to try it chicken was bloody and Ronnie was not done mashed potatoes tasted scorched... Fried okra was so overdone as hard as a rock... I give this place a 1 they need to step it up employees carrying drinks but next to their bodies we Gary t-shirts on out to customers . This is unsanitary..

Everytime we eat here they always forget multiple items out of our meals. It has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Employees are always goofing off and not making the orders correctly.

Usually this place is decent, but lately their food has gone downhill. Our family went here yesterday for dinner, the chicken was so bad we had to feed it to the stray cats. It was dripping with grease and after only a few bites my mother was ill. The potatos tasted like instant potatos, the mac n cheese was worse than the boxed stuff from kraft. Quite sad.

Didn’t get the right chicken. They don’t ring me up for what I ordered. Tried to give me the wrong tea. I called and they said to come up so they can rectify the situation and then I was told after sitting in line that since I paid for what they rang up There was nothing they could do. I would have accepted that over the phone but it pisses me off that I wasted gas and time going up there for no reason. They need to extradite it back to you so the errors can be caught before you pay. Even Whataburger and McDonald’s does that.

Food is great. But the old woman manager working there, I believe her name is Debra has a HORRIBLE attitude and poor customer service skillls. Fortunately with soooooo many new chicken places opening creating competition for chicken express the owners will consider replacing her. Went 3 days in a row to chicken e and atmosphere was great. Those days there were all male managers and the employees were nice. The 4th day I go Debra is there , employees are tense and terse and she has a major attitude from the moment you walk in the door. She doesn't greet anyone, she acts like it's painful to take your order. I asked for a refund and left and have not returned. I'm not giving my money to a place that employs such a rude individual. I'm anticipating her being replaced or chicken express losing business because of her attitude. Especially, now that there are more options so close by even moreso with slim chickens coming.

So mad, waited 30 minutes for a family size fried pickles and a large sweet tea. Something that takes 3-4 minutes total. Thank you chicken express for waisting my time!

Went through the drive-thru and my order was a total mess. The young lady came the window with her arms full of drinks and when I asked if could get drink carriers she acted put out. She still handed me two drinks then placed two a bag and wanted to hand me the third still in her hand. I still had to ask her for another bag to place drinks in since I was the only one in the car. Got home and we had ordered 5 meals and none of them were right. To the point of one of them didn’t even have the fries that we ordered. The service was bad and the food was not much better. I was really shocked since their food and service in the past had been better but this was a really disappointing experience. I haven’t been here in awhile but this has discouraged me from wanting to return.

Had a terrible experience here about a year ago, and because of that I'll never go back to this restaurant. The staff was extremely rude and arrogant to me because I didn't know what to order. They were trying to rush me instead of helping me out. And even after badgering me, they gave me the WRONG order. Just absolutely pitiful. I'll never go back to this location and am scared to go to another Chicken Express, in general, because of that. Maybe I just got a worker on her off day, but still...

Literally waited at the drive-through speaker for 20 minutes. No one assisted me went to the window to see if I could get service. They asked me to go back around and get behind a line of 10 cars ridiculous.

I was waiting to get my food when a couple of men came inside and straight to the kitchen. They started putting food in boxes...they weren't wearing uniforms or gloves and they didn't wash their hands after touching their clothes and faces. I don't know who they were but it was very unprofessional to see them getting in the way of employees trying to help customers...im not sure why they let random people in their kitchen but I am not happy to see that....do better!

Ordered food to go at drive through. Had 3 piece the brest was hard and dry Chicken not fresh. Sitting on board too long. Leg and thigh extremely small. Ordered one order of livers. Livers were big but must have been fried ahead of time not good. Never know this till you get home. No my pick for chicken next time. The best thing was th roll. Did not try the biscuit it looked like it had a bite out of it. Guess thats what you get for waiting till 7 o'clock

I don't normally do this, but I've been here around 4 times and each time he been horrible. Customer serivice is terrible, I've been given the total and cut off from ordering more food 3 of the 4 times I've been there. This last time they gave me spicy tenders instead of regular, so I went inside to get it fixed. They were in a rush, and I understand that mistakes happen, but the cashier who took my order said that I was the one who ordered wrong, and that she wasn't gonna give me free food. I HAD THE MEAL IN MY HANDS TO GIVE IT BACK. Only a bite was taken out of it, which was how I knew it was spicy. I just left after that because I was going to be late to work otherwise. 1/5 would not recommend.

I ordered the catfish dinner. It was all cold when it was brought out. The fish was chewy and thin pieces. The fries were undercooked. I will not eat at the Weatherford, Texas location ever again. The other locations I have eaten at were always great. I know its a difficult time, but hot fresh food is what I paid for, but didn't get. Plus, there is no outside pay option, they have to take your card or cash inside and I'm not fond of doing business that way. Maybe it was just an off day for them, maybe its always that way.

I had called in a order. When i get to the restaurant i pull into one of the slots and call and they tell me they will be right out. Twenty minutes later no carry out. The whole time im looking thru the drive up window at this bag of food sitting under the lights. That's the bag that was brought out to me. The biscuits were ice cold when i got home. The chicken and fish was luke warm. I asked for a receipt because i thought I was overcharged and i get someone else's receipt. I've used this restaurant for years and i was never treated this bad. I think i will be taking my business elsewhere.

Umm years of eating here never seen any batter like this on any of the pickles.... they gave me corn poppers but im probably not coming back if i don’t know what im driving across town for...

I ordered a #5 gizzard combo with Mac and cheese and sweet tea. The gentleman that took my order snickered when I placed it but I didn’t think anything of it. I got to the window and they gave me cold gizzards. I told the cashier the food was cold and she asked me did I want her to tell them. I said yes and she walked away from the window to tell them. The gentleman came to the window and asked me what was wrong, I explained that the gizzards were cold. He offered me tenders and chicken on the bone (none of which I eat) because it was too late to cook gizzards (he could have said that when I ordered). I am supposed to be receiving a refund in 3 to 5 days. Communication is key and customer service is the necessary.
