This was my first time at When Pigs Fly. The staff was very friendly. Service was fast. The food was delicious. The pulled pork did not disappoint. The portion sizes were very generous. I now have leftovers for days. The sides were very tasty. The atmosphere on the outside patio was just what I needed. I will definitely be back.

Everything was pretty good. Service was phenomenal, but they sent my burger out super raw. The bread was soaked red. I got a new pretty quickly but kinda ruined the mood.

This place is incredible. It is one of the most amazing beachfront locations I have ever seen and I used to live in Europe. It should be one million dollars to eat there and instead it is just a really nice casual relaxed environment. The drinks are cold, the view is amazing, and they have food. I stumbled on this place 5 years ago on the way back from Toronto to Cleveland. I let the gas get too low and the sign for gas and food came like a miracle - that's another nice thing about this place, you get off 90, drive for two seconds and you have a gas station and this amazing restaurant right on Lake Erie. You don't have to wander around in the traffic on 5. Just zoom off, zoom back on. This time I got pulled pork, slaw and fries and everything was good, but the food is not the point. If you can seriously go to this location and whine about the food then you have no soul. Just go to McDonald's, there's one right off the Thruway. If you have a soul, and if you like a cold beer with an amazing view and great people, then go here and you will come back year after year like I do. They even have beach volleyball nets up. I mean you could pretty much spend a week in Barcelona NY just to go to this place every day. I am actually thinking of doing that. Amazing.

Outstanding place, great quality to everything served. Pictured is the outlaw, a sandwich packed with flavor. This place is terrific for families, coues, or enjoying a few drinks during the day while at the beach, or at night by the fire pit with friends. Natural sand volleyball courts and a beautiful beach. Enjoy all there is offered.

My group enjoyed a late Saturday afternoon lunch here while traveling and were very satisfied with our meal. The place wasn't too busy and the food was delicious. The view was lovely too.

Phenomenal all the way around! WPF not only has an excellent bbq but also a very relaxing atmosphere! This restaurant is dog friendly, equipped with outside dining, tiki bar, volleyball court, cornhole boards, and a nice gazebo for live music- all on the beach! My wolf pack enjoyed themselves! Fabulous service and good food with an unexpectedly lovely view of Lake Erie. My chicken BBQ sandwich was delicious. Husband was disappointed with the texture of his brisket sandwich and said it was tasty but a bit tough/chewey.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. We dined outside on the shore of Lake Erie. The view was spectacular. Potato salad was a little bland but the BBQ was delicious.

Went for a Jeep Event with DSO and it was so much fun! Great venue and great indoor restaurant. Everyone was nice and the food was delicious. Beautiful view.

I've never been able to find a place to eat where all of my boys were satisfied. Tonight my teenager told me his meal was the best anything he's ever had. I believe it was a sandwich with pulled pork and mac and cheese. My 6-year-old put his heart on his chest and said oh my God I love this grilled cheese! My 1-year-old said nom nom nom nom all smiles eating off of our plates. I had the American cheeseburger and it was so amazing with whatever sauce they put on it. Everything comes on Texas toast. Five stars and worth the price! We also enjoyed cornhole and volleyball while we waited for the food and sat outside on the beach. If you're looking for something for everyone, you have found it.

Our experience was great. The patio is beach front, with volleyball. The portions are more than plenty, and the meat is awesome. We got the half rack of ribs and Mr Beefy, and we would both get them again. Jeff served us and he did a great job.

So aside from the bad reviews I seen I took a chance and went in here today. It was so quiet and peaceful , my ribs were so tender and tasted great , the beans were soft , Cornbread was ok I prefer sweet cornbread but it was made good . The only complaint I would say is the potato salad tasted a tad bit watered down. Other then best ribs I have had in a long long time. Highly recommended

What a fun, beautiful spot for lunch today! Brought two of my favorite people. We ate outside under the umbrella covered tables. Weather was perfect…like a fall day. They had live music, good eats and we walked the beach by the lake afterwards. Tried something new to us called Pork Shanks that were dredged, fried and sauced like buffalo chicken wings! Yummy with blue cheese dressing. I had the Fried Haddock, 2 sides and cornbread (corn cake). The others had St Louis Ribs and Burger with Bacon and Brisket on top. He didn’t want the cheese so we called it two little pigs instead of three from the menu. Menu may change but I will post photos of the current offerings on 8/4/2024. Kelsie was our waitress and she was very seeet and helpful.

The outdoors area was really nice: beachfront property with games and a fire pit. There are many outside tables and a bar inside and outside. We got a meal combo for two. It came with the best sweet corn on the cob. We got shredded chicken and shredded pork. The house sauce on the tables is very good. The sweet potatoes are good. The slaw is more creamy than sweet. The corn bread was good. This was a nice stop for us as we were driving through, but you could probably make a night of it or at least stop for an hour and enjoy the beach. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. We were there at 12:30 pm right after they opened.

What a cool place! We stopped here on our drive from Niagara Falls to Ohio, and it was such a nice surprise. It's right on the lake, so you can walk out to the beach while waiting on your food. The BBQ was REALLY good. I'm from NC, and we know bbq, so I wasn't expecting to find bbq that good in New York.

My mom & I love this place. Great views of Lake Erie. They smoke their own meat. They even smoke their tea for iced tea - it’s strong and flavorful, I love it. If you sit outside beware of wasps trying to taste your food. The outside is pet-friendly. There’s an outdoor bar area and a little koi pond. My mom got a Bloody Mary earlier this year that looked amazing.

Nice bar and restaurant. Didn't check out the bar too much but seemed well stocked. Outside, there is a bar and plenty of seating along with a playground and volleyball courts. Even beach access. Inside it's slightly dark, especially on the bar side but it does open up to a great view of the lake. The food came fast and was pretty good. I liked the dry rub ribs although it seemed to have a little too much seasoning. The meat was good but was slightly cooked too long. Only just slightly. Mac and cheese plus fries were good. Wife had a fish sandwich that was tasty. And we finished off with a chocolate milkshake spiked with Bailey's. Quite delicious. A little our of the way for an Erie resident but definitely worth the trip and future ones.

The food was AWESOME! We got the BBQ for 2 with the pulled pork, beef brisket, mac-n-cheese and tater salad and it fed my husband, 2 year old daughter and I. It also came with 2 corn on the cob and 2 corn bread. All for $22! And it was delicious! Our Service on the other hand was rather poor. We waited 5 minutes to be seated and ended up seating ourselves. Our waitress couldn't remember our drink order and didn't bring us silverware. We had to go find someone to get some. I will definitely eat there again because I want to try the mac-n-cheese pulled pork sandwich and the view of the beach and lake is gorgeous. I'll just hope for better service next time.

One of the best restaurants around by far their service is great always extremely friendly and helpful. The Food is amazing bu far one of the better barbecue restaurants around. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food. The real cherry on top is how close to the beach u are u can literally walk right from your dinner table.to the beach without leaving the restaurant it's amazing.

Generous portions of good home style cooking. Location on the lake is beautiful and I imagine that the patio would be very pleasant in the summer.

I'm not a big fan of BBQ, but I had the brisket and kielbasa. It was excellent! Also, try the fried pickles appetizer.

Out door patio was very nice, staff was good, food was good. The brisket , pork and ham were very delicious. The chips we're yummy, and hot. The Mac and cheese wasn't anything special, it was ok. Will go back again. The Bananas and Wafers desert portion was HUGE, my husband will be eating this for a few days!!

Pulled pork and chicken 5 stars, Brisket and turkey 3 stars by industry standard, negative 2 stars vs Federal smokehouse. Sausage well it's sausage, they don't make their own, just smoke so you have to really try to screw that up. Ribs, solid 3.9, good smoke and texture but need more rub and spices. Mac n cheese 5 stars, better than federal smokehouse. Coleslaw is solid but they make big batch for 5 days (mayo product health standards) so it depends when you are getting it. Authentic barbecue sandwiches, and many other options are available with a beautiful view of the sunset over Lake Erie. There is also outdoor seating and an outdoor bar. The location can't be beat and the service was efficient.

Pulled pork was good, brisket was a bit tough and fatty, beans and frickles were absolutely amazing, cornbread was nothing to write home about and mac n cheese was okay.

Hidden gem with some standout bbq items right off the beach. Their beans, macaroni and pulled chicken were excellent. Pulled pork was good not great, and their sauce is average. This is not for BBQ aficionados but rather a fun spot in an unlikely place. Neat, fun outdoor / indoor atmosphere. Minimal shade outside. Walk right to the beach..

Mixed experience- The ribs were tough and chewy, the brisket was tough didn't fall apart. It looked cooked twice and the ribs were cut apart after cooking. Not in a rack. The burger was great! The food took an hour but a huge table did get seated before us. This place has awesome views and that can't be beat.

Beautiful location on lake Erie. While waiting for our food we saw a beautiful black squirrel frolicking outside the window. Our waitress was the lovely Lindsay. She was very pleasant and friendly. The food...I had brisket which was very dry, but good after dousing it with barbeque sauce. I was kind of disheartened that I had to do that. I also had kielbasa, which for some reason was cut into bite size pieces, which were also dry. I tried adding barbeque sauce but it didn't help. I left most of the kielbasa on my plate untouched. There was no corn on the cob as the menu stated was included. Lindsay explained it was out of season and offered a substitution, which I found adequate, as well as fair. The Mac N Cheese wasn't even Luke warm, it was cold and tasteless. The only way to describe it is creamy tasteless spiral noodles. The baked beans were also less than scrumptious. My companion agreed the brisket was dry, and he was disappointed that his pulled turkey, was a thick slice, both requiring extra barbeque sauce to please his palette. Nice joint. Friendly owner. Great waitress. I'm going to say, maybe it was because it's off season, that it was below our expectations. I will be back, in the summer for comparison.

Great waterside location. We only stopped to enjoy the tiki bar, so I have no opinion on the food. The place was nice and clean but the service was a bit lacking. We did have a few drinks, listen to a good live band, and enjoy the sunset over the lake.

This place needs a big turnaround. I’ve been here 3x in 20 years (or about that), and every time I’m disappointed, which is a shame because it’s a great location and the only bbq spot in town. The big problem is that they really don’t seem to have fresh BBQ. They could BBQ fresh, but our plate was obviously reheated in a skillet with lots of grease. The wait staff is great though, and a good spot for a beer

We had a half rack of ribs and they were tough, gristle and sauce was a little help. They were very understaffed. The staff was running their butts off but the place is so big and they did all they could do. BTW the coleslaw was tasteless but the baked beans were good.

Ribs were a bit on the chewy side on this visit. Simular to my 1st visit when they originally opened. Potato salad was good. Mac n cheese was average. Sever was excellent.

We had eaten here years ago and enjoyed it. This time the food wasn’t as good. My boyfriend’s fries were totally dry and his burger was just OK. I liked my quesadilla , but the pork was a bit dry. Overall service was slow. Judging by the reviews it seems they are reheating the meats which decreases the quality significantly . We will be back because the atmosphere is great and the food still had potential.

Some of the best deep fried pickles I've ever had anywhere. My ribs were super dry. My brisket was fat look like tiny strips of bacon. And was gray. Brisket quesadilla the brisket inside was super super dry. Our waitress was super nice. Beautiful building beautiful place.. I would like to go back and try it again. But we ended up paying 100 dollars. And felt very letdown between what we paid and what we got.

First visited this place a few days ago when visiting the area for the first time. We gave it 3 stars, because the band and bartenders outside were great! We sat outside with a beautiful view of the lake and a great view of the band. Drinks were on point. We just stayed for a couple. The downfall is the atmosphere outside. The tiki bar atmosphere was great, the gazebo with the band and there is no lack of seating. All great. The BIGGEST AND WORST issue is the yellow jackets. Yes it's summer, but when we can count 7 yellow jacket traps that clearly work because they were all full, they were not cleaned out and solution not replaced. We know because we have the same ones. The lack of ability to enjoy the outdoors became short when it's and the bartenders were swarmed with yellow jackets. They even complained. I'm allergic. Other patrons being is at the tables complained and left. So did we. We had planned on spending dinner and the rest of the band there. Truly disappointed that management cannot keep up with simple tasks to make sure their staff and patrons are taken care of.

Visiting there area for the first time on our 15th wedding anniversary. We chose to go here for our evening diner since my wife has been craving some BBQ. The food we got was just ok/good. Nothing amazing. I took pictures below. I got the "My Boy Blue" burger which was tasty at times but was a little over cooked in comparison to what I usually like. The Texas toast bun was also not flattering with the combination of a tougher than usual burger. I was definitely not floored by the flavor. I will rate that burger maybe a 6/10. The burgers comes with kettle chips and fries are added as extra. My wife got the pulled pork which had just ok flavor but could have been seasoned more. The food is a bit on the pricey side for what you get. I could tell the restaurant is currently under some distress. There really weren't many visitors even at peak dinner time, the firepit outside does not look like it had been cleaned out for quite some time. There was a huge pile of old ash in the middle which made me wonder about the rest of the restaurants upkeep. The owners or management were really overworking one poor waitress who was overseeing the indoor and outdoor dining areas. Luckily we were only one of two couples in the entire indoor dining. I felt bad for her. This poor girl seems like she gets such a hard time from patrons due to the shortcomings of the restaurant and management that she is more ready to apologize for any issues than potentially receive a compliment. I gave her an extra good tip because she was working harder than anyone else and trying to do the best she could. She would be the reason I do not rate the restaurant with fewer stars. Felt strange there were not more people at the restaurant which was another red flag for me. That place should be packed considering location right off lake Erie they are also right next to a boating/fishing peer where people constantly go in and out of so you can tell somethingis just not quite right. Also looking at the other Google reviews there seems to be a rising trend of disagreeable comments over the last couple of years. Things at this restaurant definitely seem disorganized. Also they seemed desperate to give us more food due to the fact that they could not provide my wife with corn on the cob with her meal. They also brought us Mac and cheese which was very good and the cowboy caviar as the owner seemed desperate for us to try it. It was not all that great. There was baked beans with what seemed to be some shreds of pulled pork in with it. They should have some chunks of brisket in with this and actually season the food and it would certainly give it an upgrade. They do have a great location but the food doesn't match. Feels disjointed for these two things not to come together.

This place did not live up to hype. We were there for lunch and I ordered their signature ribs. Very disappointed, they were definitely yesterday's reheated and not smoked that day. Two of the six ribs were dried out, tough and should never been put on the plate. The side of beans were ok, a little watery but tasty. Corn bread also was not fresh. If you're going to be a rib joint you better have outstanding ribs. Our servers were almost non existent after we got our food.

After looking forward to this visit, we were all pretty disappointed. We were a group of 6 and as appetizing as the menu was and the presentation was good, the taste of each dish was lackluster. We were there around 1 p.m. mid week and were there over 2 hours. The service was slow, the drinks were not refilled and I had to retrieve our silverware since we had waited forever for it after finally receiving our food. The location is nice, right on the water, but I would find somewhere else if you are looking for good food.

08/02/24 Coming home from Canada and wanted to eat along Erie. Found this place. Reviews seemed great. We arrived and were seated outside. Received our drinks and mine had what seemed to be corn floating inside of the sprite I got. I drank from my husband’s drink after finding it. We ordered the Loaded Pig Spuds. Half of what was suppose to come on them, did not. Fries on my husband’s meal were fresh while mine tasted ‘stale’. My daughter’s waffle on her chicken n’ waffles was rubbery. Chicken was super bland also. We couldn’t finish the meal and ended up paying the bill and leaving. Hoping we just caught an off day but was really disappointed with the quality of food today.

I've been wanting to try this place for years, unfortunately I was very disappointed. Although the view (being right on the beach) if phenomenal, it sadly doesn't make up for the food. The brisket came in thin, tough strips, the turkey was also dry. The beans were very good 👍 however, the coleslaw had zero flavor.... just creamy. I did like the corn bread flavor but again, dry dry dry. Maybe stop by for some drinks and a stroll on the beach.

Brisket and turkey were very dry and bland, had to use bbq sauce just to get the food down. Best part of the meal was the cornbread. The atmosphere was good and the staff very friendly. It was a shame the food was not up to the standards of the rest of the establishment.

I know it a restaurant mostly for the view of Lake Erie but this is not a place to order a chicken salad like I did. I almost gagged on the dry chicken that was sparingly sprinkled on this horrible salad. They brought out nachos to make up for my salad but they were inedible. The service was slow but our waitress was friendly. Maybe if you are just drinking like many were, it would be the place to hangout. Can’t recommend the food.

Very disappointing experience. Brisket was tough and chewy, too much fat. My son threw away most of his meal. Kielbasa may as well have been a cheap hot dog. The Mac & cheese was not edible. The cowboy caviar was good, but not enough to make me waste money there again. Would not recommend.

I lived in Charleston, SC, and my husband lived in Albuquerque, NM. If you want, barbecue, go there. The brisket at pigs fly was like hard tac, the cole slaw was fire hot, the potato salad was not great, and the Mac and cheese tasteless. the only thing good was the beans. that's it. It's definitely a drink, then eat place, then you don't care what the food tastes like!

Just a bunch of drunks on a lake eating expensive food. The server had her dirty little finger in my beans when she served it. Then proceeded to wipe my bean juice on her dirty smock and smile as if nothing happened. The food is not very good, and is way too overpriced for what you get. You can't even reason that the view is worth it.. we were at the closest table to the water and could barely see it. Won't be coming back ☹️

Ordered appetizer did not get our sauce with it. By the time we got our sauce food was cold. then had to wait to order to our actual food when our appetizer was gone. Then did not get our dressing for salad. Waitress didn’t seem to know the menu and what sauces/dressings came with the foods ordered. My husbands sandwich looked pathetic very little meat and next to nothing for Cole slaw or special sauce. Another waitress had to wait on us as ours went MIA. did not get offered any napkins and had dogs running loose begging from table to table. I’m And animal lover but would never allow my dog to run loose in public areas. We used to loves this place and looked forward to coming back and don’t usually complain, but It definitely has changed since we were here last. Very disappointing 😔

We stopped by to pick up food since it was near our bed and breakfast. The place is wonderful and has a great outdoor atmosphere. Think it would have been better if we just stopped for a drink. So after waiting 30 minutes for our meal the ribs had good flavor but were cold and tough. They forgot half our sides so we had to go back.

The space is really cool, it's got a chill outdoor seating area on the beach and is a great spot with killer atmosphere. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Sadly the food did not match, my family and I ate there for lunch today 08/05/23 we all ordered the ribs with various sides. The sides were okay. The ribs were inedible. What little meat they had was so tough and dry we would have been better off slapping some bbq on a chunk of driftwood out back. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but when I'm paying just over $100 for a meal and the main course is that terrible. Sorry guys. Ribs should be a staple of a BBQ spot, these were a big time miss.

We were extremely disappointed in the full rack of ribs. 75% gristle opposed to 25% actual meat. Not cooked nearly enough. The bottled sauce is the only thing that gave it flavor. The sides dishes were also disappointing in flavor. The server was extremely pleasant and efficient. We will probably not return after driving 45 minutes to get there. The nice drive was the best part of our 4th of July holiday.

Arrived here tired, thirsty and hungry after 7 hours on the road. Perfect opportunity for some comfort food. We entered and a sign said the hostess would seat us. No hostess in sight but we asked a waitress said offhand "Sit anywhere, I'll bring you some menus." After twenty minutes of no menus (even after catching the eye of several waitstaff) my girlfriend went to the bar and asked for menus and a server. Keep in mind this was not a busy night with double digit open tables and easily a half dozen servers about. Our server finally arrived and took our order, a meal for two that included smoked kielbasa, brisket, mac and cheese, corn, cornbread and sweet potato fries tossed in cinnamon sugar. I ordered a tall bud light (which the waiter assured me they had and I saw pints on other tables) and my girlfriend ordered a blue moon and a diet coke. I asked if we could get burnt ends for the brisket and was told they weren't available. Our drinks arrived fairly promptly, in 12 oz plastic cups though my girlfriend's soda was in a tall glass. The food arrived a bit later. Having already drank my small beer I ordered another. We had to remind the waiter at this point that we needed silverware and table settings. That took five minutes and he also brought salt, pepper, bbq, ketchup and a roll of paper towel in a questionable looking plastic-lined bucket. By now nothing was very hot. The cornbread was not warm enough to melt butter. The mac and cheese came in a ceramic bowl with melted cheese on top and was fairly average, maybe some crackers mixed in. The sweet potato fries were cooked well but the cinnamon sugar was sparse at best. The kielbasa tasted fairly off the shelf and the brisket was a very scant portion and more of a thick cut bacon, bland and slightly dry. I had no drink with my meal, luckily my girlfriend ordered the soda. The food was overall extremely average. Later as we were finishing up the waiter showed up asking if we needed anything and said "Oh, I put in your order but forgot to bring you your beer!" We asked for the check. I did finally get the beer and it arrived complete with a wonderfully thoughtful fruit fly garnish. At least he got a drink. The meal with four drinks was $41. Pros: Cheap, beautiful view. Cons: Awful service, very average food. Worth the trip?: No. We won't be back and do not recommend.

I come back every couple of years hoping to have a different experience and it never gets any better. My first review was 6 years ago and I was really hoping to improve it . Unfortunately, I cannot. Took forever for the drinks. This was excusable since according to the waitress there was only one bartender. But why did it take twenty minutes when there were only about five tables of people. You'd think they would at least get the checks right with four servers standing around the registers while customers waited for food that came cold. Nope. I was given someone else's. The brisket was extremely tough and somebody really should have tasted the slaw before they brought out to the tables because obviously they put salt in when they thought they were putting sugar in it. The only redeeming quality about this place was an exceptionally nice waitress. I hope she gets a job somewhere else before she's out of a job.

Sunday evening, Labor Day weekend: we called ahead to see if reservations were needed (no), arrived at 7:45, and were seated immediately by a friendly and cheerful waitress - at a table that included bits of cheese and other crumbs still amongst the condensation rings, bits of tattered napkin on one chair, a wonderful view of the outdoor seating, and in perfect earshot of the kitchen. We were given sticky laminated menus, napkin bundled silverware, told where the restrooms were, and there we sat for 35 minutes, watching the waitresses working hard, going in and out from the kitchen to the patio and back again, trays laden. One male employee sauntered (literally) out of the kitchen, looked outside, looked over towards our table - he and I made eye contact and I nodded a greeting. He sauntered back into the kitchen and started kindly putting down the other staff. ("I'm not saying it's anyone of you in particular...."). But he never mentioned the only occupied indoors table of two that still had their menus and no drinks. A group of bikers arrived through an outdoors gate and sat down at a patio table probably 25 minutes after we had arrived and been seated. They had their drinks at their table and their order taken - and still no one came to check on us. We left and went to Applebee's in Dunkirk. Someone told us to have a good night on our way out....sigh. We really had wanted to try the food.

Well as per all the recent reviews, this place is a clear miss. The food was terrible. I had the ribs which were top of the menu and they were awful, chewy and tasteless. I would assume they were cooked in a microwave. I suppose the lack of any smoke anywhere near the smoker should have been the clue. Miserable beer menu, clearly just selling tiki drinks. Service was decent considering it was nearly empty. Hard Pass.

Anyone ever seen bar rescue? It’s instantly reminded me of an episode out where all the employees were running around laughing an could care less about a customer. The food was absolutely terrible, soggy sandwich, overcooked fries. I’m sure at one point this place was awesome, but I will NOT be back. Finally after sitting there for 20 min waiting for my check I went up an asked a lady who worked there, she was quick to help an got the bill for me. When I was getting into my vehicle I proceeded to observe our waiter sitting outside with a few buddies smoking it’s fine to take breaks but nobody could find him nor knew that he was on break. Not professional at all. I truly hope the owners get this place together. With the proper management an a staff that cares about what they serve it would be a great place!

So disappointing. Got the BBQ for two and a side of ribs to share with my wife. The brisket was shoe leather, pulled pork tasted like it was days old and the ribs where nowhere near tender. The mac and cheese was one step up from Kraft. Surprisingly, the corn on the cob was pretty good for not being local and early in the season and the corn bread was pretty good, The beans also seemed to be days old but eatable. Felt horrible we took our friends there and spent a lot for what was some of the worst BBQ I have had. Waitress saw how upset my wife was about the situation and brought us some brisket to take home. Although it was better than the original offering.... it was still lacking. Such a great location but sad that the quality of the food sucked so bad. Not going back to this place until I hear better reviews. Just so sad. Hate to see such a potential gold mine offer such disappointing food.

We Pre ordered the food so it was ready when we got there at 1pm and the food still didn’t come out until 2pm. And they used a high concentration bleach spray to clean the tables and it dripped on and ruined my and my family’s clothes and it really made it smell like a pool locker room. Finally when the food actually came out it really wasn’t good either. Overall a terrible place and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The Atmosphere with the view of the lake was the best part. The service, well, we sat for at least 25 minutes before we were greeted, then we waited a good 30+ mins for the food come out! The food,.That is another story! I ordered the Mac and cheese pulled pork sandwich, it was dry & flavorless the French fries were cold and not good, the brisket sandwich my friend ordered was also dry and over done! I would not eat here again!

I understand it’s difficult for restaurants these days. We sat outside on a nasty sticky table that needed to be scraped and repainted. We ordered wings and recv’d only 8 of them so that’s $2 per wing. We also ordered The Outlaw with fries for 3 extra dollars. The few fries we got tasted old. For the sandwich “where’s the” beef was chewy, over cooked. I was expecting a smoky flavor. Way overpriced. I don’t want to say much about the service because the girl waiting the other tables was working hard. The Diet Coke wasn’t flat though!

Wow this place is going down hill fast. Mac and cheese was cold cheese not melted. Pulled pork was like it was sitting in water. Salad comes out with your dinner. Very disappointed

I ordered fish then they say sorry we are out of fish so I ordered pretzels they came out as hard as a rock not a friendly atmosphere this year there We have been there in past years no issues Will not go back again They have a gold mine there they just need better service and management

Brisket was tough and chewy. Ribs were over cooked and no flavor. Cowboy beans had no meat in them as described, tasted like canned beans. Mac and cheese was good as well as the corn bread. Waitress was slow and forgetful. Told us all about the b day desert then never brought it out. Beer sat so long at bar it was warm. Brought 2 other couples with us who had never been, none of us will be back. What a shame.

We spent $150 before tip for food that was not that good. The potato salad was super gross. In return for what we spent, we got food poisoning. If you need a good clean out then this is your place. Just be sure you have a restroom near by the rest of the day/night. After this we found out they failed their food inspection. Wish we had known that info before we tried them out. In hindsight us not being able to find an employee before leaving was to our benifit, because after all the puking, it is not a place we needed a shirt to remember.

Hadn’t been in a few years so gave it a try for Fathers Day weekend. Beautiful weather and great band but sadly the meal was awful and we kept having to hunt down a server. I’m a past server myself so always give the benefit of the doubt but some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Tough brisket and my husband ordered a side of ribs that were completely dry and inedible. Maybe next time , go for a beer and walk on the beach but grab dinner elsewhere.

Pulled up smelled the smokers running and was excited.. this place is a very mixed bag. Wasn't expecting only 2 thin (1/8") brisket slices that were reheated on a griddle, couldn't cut with a fork needed a knife. Pulled pork was okay but again for about $10/serving id have liked more than about a half a cup. The sides are plentiful, fries were ehhh and had been sitting under a hot lamp for a bit, mac n cheese came from the golden coral takeout box (noodles were cold) cowboy caviar was good, They need to organize their wait staff better one waitress was doing inside and outside. Someone else was doing 2 tables here n there and another was doing another split. Several folks were tired of not being served / getting their check etc. was not asked once about drink refills. Overall I'd say pass on this place. The atmosphere of being right on the lake was nice, but that's pretty much where the charm ends.

Whatever they were smoking last night smelled great but we will never know how it tasted. When we arrived last night we were promptly seated with menus but then waited nearly 30 minutes in an empty dining room while the staff chatted in the kitchen. We eventually left without anyone taking our order.

The food was terrible. I order the beef and it tasted like pork. It was over cooked, dry and super greasy. The only thing I found good was the location. The service was adequate. No one in my party liked their meals. This pig flew. Will not eat there again. Will not recommend it. Really disappointed.

Incredible location. Great patio with view of the lake. Good food. Ate a large meal with my daughter on the patio, we were denied use of the restrooms inside. As we drove down the highway, I realized they thought we came in from the public beach looking for them. When we spoke to the owner at a later date about it. He was rude and offered no apology. So we left never to return.

Meat was dry and flavorless. Bloody Mary was watered down, didn't even taste like tomato. We didn't get one of our food items until after we were finished eating everything else. Never got any refills on water. I can't recommend this place less.

Was here last night service was absolutely terrible food came out wrong. Drinks late place is not well kept in years. Place is run down the outside tables paint is pealing off was sticking to my husbands forearms. We came here last year and my ribs were charcoal but we wanted outside dinning and wanted to give them another chance. Read the reviews recently lots of negative reviews here believe them stay away till they make positive changes.

I keep coming here out of desperation. Meat is always dry and I seem to always get the darkened inedible chunks of end meat. Not very large portions for price compared to many other BBQ places I've been to. A side of coleslaw (about a half a cup) is $2.75. Location is ideal.

Food is pretty good, but service is terrible. We were sitting for over 25 minutes before anyone got our drink order. There were only three other tables with people, so it wasn't busy at all. The waitress were just hanging out inside and not checking on anyone.

Dont waste your time or your money! I've had better food from Walmart. The servers were super nice and friendly. The cocktail I ordered was basically a full glass of ice with a sip of beverage. The wine I ordered was practically my body temp and needed ice to drink. The potatoe salad had zero flavor. The cowboy Cavier had virtually no meat in it. The kielbasa tasted like it was Hillshire Farms sprinkled with some seasoning. This meal was on par with a high-school cafeteria. Overall, it was extremely disappointing. Their location is amazing, but the food isn't worth it. We didn't even take home the leftovers. We really hoped for something a bit better from such a fantastic summer location.

Out of items on menu including drinks food was brought out uncooked when asked for a manager was told just talked to owner on phone and was asked how thongs were going waitress told him not good and would be back later. Originally was told he was out getting soda. Owner was clearly trying to avoid confict when story changed as to when he was to be back

We got the brisket, pulled pork, mac&cheese, fries, salad, and a burger. The brisket and pulled pork were terrible, they were so dry that even the sauce couldn’t help them. My belt probably has more flavor in it. The mac&cheese was also terrible, tried even giving it some flavor with some bbq sauce but even that couldn’t help. The best thing we had was the ketchup for the fries and the water. If you want anything else, go elsewhere.

The worst meal we have ever had that was $85. The chicken and waffles had an atrocious flavor profile. The My Boy Blue burger had this horrific fishy flavor. We also got the nachos and added chicken that had no flavor, for a whopping $19. My guy typically finishes everything; he ate half the burger, and I ate barely half of my sandwich—he took a bite. The waitress never asked if we liked our meals, never came back after delivery and never asked if we wanted to-gos which we would have told her no and how awful the meal was. They were however Pit friendly and accommodating with our dog.

This was an awful experience. The place was unkept & dirty, my soda had food at the bottom of the glass (so gross), it took forever to get our food, the coleslaw was sour & had gone bad, the corn was wrinkled & old, the Mac&cheese was old & disgusting & the pulled pork was burnt and literally not edible, plus, everything was cold. I’m not sure how you mess up corn bread but it was so dry we couldn’t eat it, on par with everything else. If I could give it zero stars I would. We will never go back.biggest waste of $50 ever.

We were at this restaurant last year it was fantastic. We came back this year with 12 extra friends. We called ahead since such a large party ( 24 ) for lunch on a Friday. Only 10 other people in restaurant I ordered a coke, I was told we may not have that. Waitress came back with drinks including coke. Were told no pineapple or peach to make margaritas ( which we had last year). Placing order I ordered Mac & cheese bites (on the board as a special today) was told I got the last order. I asked for a refill and was told I got the last coke. Bartender outside is separate and not able to give us his cokes or water ( his words). Our apps were cold. Waited 1 1/2 hours and still did not receive anything but apps. Told that boss called and asked how things were and they told him out of everything and his reply was “ I’ll be in later”. Poor waitresses tried but were lacking in customer service and avoided us like the plague. We paid for our drinks and the cold apps and left and cancelled our orders. Absolutely horrible experience not customer friendly at all. Very sad that the “new” owners let this happen to a great spot by the water.

Don’t waste your money or time! The food was beyond terrible, service was slow and the place smells musty and old. Our fountain drinks were watered down. We ordered half a rack of ribs, burnt ends quesadilla with sides of cowboy caviar, potato salad and Mac and cheese. The ribs were so burnt and charred, all you could taste was lighter fluid. Beyond horrible. We should have known when the table behind us complained and they didn’t charge the guest. Cowboy caviar in the description says (all the meats with bbq beans)…that was a joke. The beans tasted like they were straight out of the can and not a single scrap of meat to be found. The quesadilla was more like shredded burnt brisket…not true burnt ends at all. The sauce tasted like ketchup not bbq. The menu says it comes with sour cream and peach salsa…hi had to ask for this and the salsa was definitely not peach and tasted like it was from a bottle. Potato salad had no taste. They ran out of Mac and cheese and had to make more…noodles were hard and sauce tasted like box Valletta. When our server came back and asked if we wanted a box for the left overs, I kindly told her no. She asked if everything tasted ok, I kindly said not at all and she asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said sure, I’d be happy too. My husband got up to use the restroom. I heard the waitress say, it’s that table right there, her husband went to the rest room. The manager was so rude, disrespectful and incompetent that he didn’t even have the audacity to come to the table and ask what was wrong. Sounds pretty useless and incapable to me. He has not customer service, let alone any management skills. The waitress told me, I’m sorry he didn’t want to come out. She first took off the ribs platter and then she took off the sides. We still had to pay for the quesadilla. They need new cooks and definitely new management. The only positive was the location on the water and our waitress Julia who just started.
