The food here is great everything we've had so far has been incredible. The staff has also always been so helpful and positive. We will definitely be back.
Their salsa and chips are fantastic. We enjoy their combo fajitas,, always delicious. Wait staff are always available to take care of any request.
Our first experience was early in their existence but gave them a second shot today. Very glad we did. Very delicious salads ( some can't even get salads right), excellent service and they were nearly full at 2:45 pm, which suggests we aren't the only ones left with a great impression.
Food was good enjoyed having lunch and watching golfers T off. Our first time for this location. Wait staff was excellent, hot sauce was good. Have eaten at their stockyards location for years. Great food!
Welcome back to the Morningstar neighborhood pick up! The chicken fajita family meal was WONDERFUL! Perfect amount for 2 to have plenty of leftovers or 4 for dinner. Chicken was seasoned perfectly and the picante was not too spicy! Can’t wait for your next visit!
Best chicken fajitas in a 100 mile radius. Great servers. Outstanding management. Fabulous food. Marvelous margaritas!
Delicious food and great service!!
Los Vaqueros is the BEST! Believe me I've eaten at a ton of Mexican food places. Everything is excellent, drinks are wonderful. The atmosphere is great, patio is great. Today we sat on the patio and it poured down rain for 15-20 minutes, it was great with the food, drinks and atmosphere. Our waitress was great, we were the only ones out there but we still got excellent service. GREAT PLACE!
The food was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. At the time of our visit they didn't have their liquor license but were giving one free margarita or beer away to each adult patron. Some of the best Mexican food I've had in the Weatherford area.
We stopped in for a late lunch, 3:00. Our first time to dine here and we were very pleased. Our waitress Priscilla was exceptional and very friendly. We ordered the combination fajitas and they were great! The atmosphere is authentic and I liked that. I think we have just found a new favorite place for Mexican food in Weatherford.
We ordered to-go and it was easy, fast, and so delicious! Got six chicken enchilada dinners, chicken/beef family size fajitas, queso and guacamole. Everything was delicious but next time I think we’ll just get all beef fajitas instead of combo as they were especially good! The salsa and chips were good too! It was easy to call ahead for pickup.
Really awesome food and location. Good atmosphere. Nice staff. Great sour cream enchiladas. Good salsa and chips. Lunch is more affordable than dinner.
It was our first visit, and it was a good one! The hostess was really friendly and answered our questions about the location and menu. The food was excellent (especially the queso and fajita chicken). Loved the atmosphere as well. We will definitely come back again!
My future daughter in law and I stopped here this afternoon (Weatherford area). We each ordered flautas. They were very good! Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere. Prices were a bit high though for two flautas each.
Food was absolutely amazing and we loved the friendly staff and fun atmosphere.
All of our dishes were well prepared and ample portions. The margarita swirl was excellent. Tortilla soup chock full of chicken and veggies. Carnitas Salad with tender meat. Tacos Al Carbon excellent. Staff masked as were patrons with only one person I observed not masked. Definitely a good stop.
I sit in the bar area usually. Their bartenders are always very attentive, quick to serve, and very friendly. The food and drinks are always delicious.
We love this place and go at least 2 to 4 times a week. The food is great, the salsa is great (sometimes hot depending on the day) they have daily specials but I always get the same thing. We sit in the bar at "our" table when we go. Ali and Raven are both awesome servers (and my favorites) and we never even have to ask for drinks, they just bring them out as soon as they see us come in the door. The restaurant is large and has lots of seating. Cozy atmosphere. Go eat at Los Vaqueros when you get a chance, you won't be disappointed. Can't say enough good stuff about this place.
Growing up, my mother took me to the old location in the Stockyards. It's still as good as it was back then. Luckily, I have this location close to home, so when I'm craving Mexican food, this is my go to.
Chef Manny is an amazing food artist. Anytime you go try whatever special they have, and definitely do NOT skip the Triple Chocolate Mousse, it’s absolutely delicious. We are looking forward to coming back soon.
Service and food were top notch. Only downfall was that the table was a bit sticky. Could use some better cleaning. But overall it was great
My husband and I ate here and got the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. We both agreed that it was probably the best sour cream sauce we’ve had and the chicken was very tender and delicious. Great meal for a decent price. The service was also great. Our server’s name was Raven and she was so kind and helpful.
Food is always hot and delicious. They have moved off the golf course and are closer to and visible from the highway now. The place is always clean and the service is always spot on. We have not had any food that was not delicious. The avocado enchiladas are wonderful, the sunrise enchiladas are spot on and the tacos al carbon are fantastic.
This place is the greatest restaurant to touch the world I’m not even glazing the food made my mouth water the waitress should’ve won a Nobel piece prize because of how kinda they are if you haven’t went here you don’t know ball
We, an extended family of seven, and wea ate at the Willow Park location yesterday. Everything from our excellent server, who was the absolute best, to the atmosphere, to the selection, to our food, was all....5 Star! We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. We agree, it's the absolute best Mexican food we've had since we moved to Texas one year ago. We love Mexican food and have tried just about everywhere around. We'd go back today, our experience was that great. Every dish was cooked just right, seasoned perfectly, the portion sizes were generous, and our waitress, she was something special. Not only was she a great server, but she was the type of lady I'd have loved to have her sit and eat our meal with us. She was fast, funny, personable, and ever accomodating. We'd all highly recommend this fantastic restaurant. And, as there's one in our party who uses a walker, the walkways between the tables were more than wide enough for her to walk down the aisles and in between the tables. This facility offers anything a person, couple, family or group could want. From the offering of catering, having a banquet room, family indoor dining, outdoor dining, to a quiet romantic dinner for two, this restaurant offers something for everyone. Some of our meals ordered were: The Quesadilla meal with ground beef. He loved it. Another was the crispy beef taco plate with an a la carte chalupa. Fantastic was his comment. Another was the Chimichanga with fajita meat meal. She loved that too. I had the Chimichanga with ground beef, which I found to be yuuummy! These chimi's are deep fried and come with rice and charro beans, lettuce, sour cream and pico de gallo. Thank goodness it's not smothered in cheese. You can substitute and get double rice or beans if you prefer. It was all so delicious! We brought the last half of the last two meals home for lunch today. We couldn't eat all of our meals yesterday as they're very generous in size. But, they were still great today! You will appreciate this restaurant's service, atmosphere and especially it's food. It was all great!
My office placed a to-go order from the West location. Unfortunately an entree was left out of the bag when the order was picked up. I called and let them know and asked if someone could bring it as I was already back and work and unable to leave again. There was no hesitation, they agreed to bring it to us. We had the food in 15 min! We appreciate the customer service!!
It’s loud but in an intimate way! You can talk with friends but still feel like you’re in a bustling place.
Fantastic Mexican food and great service!
We've been here a couple times before.... nice place with good food. Our service was a little slow/overlooked this last time.....maybe just an off-night as this wasn't at peak dinner time crowd. All in all, it's a great place to take family/friends. Will be back!
The food is so good!! Came out quickly and was hot the entire time eating!
Excellent service, great food, and comfortable atmosphere! I had the combination fajitas with chicken and steak. The steak was tender and delicious. It didn't have any fat or gristle, so I didn't have to fight to eat it. The chicken was tender and moist, and everything was seasoned and charred perfectly. The rice and charro beans were really good. My husband had the Los Vaqueros dinner, and he was impressed with his food, as well. If you need alcohol, the Kiki's was really good. We ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert, and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal!
Great food choices. The food was very tasteful. The service was excellent. I server Maddie was also the bartender. She is extremely personable and has an excellent take on how to please her customers. This location has become our go to for TexMex and Maddie is our favorite server.
We hosted a school mixer in the new event space and it was perfect. The room was impeccable, the food was amazing, and the service was great. The coordinators took care of us from start to finish and were so accommodating. We will definitely host another another event here, and highly recommend for others!
It was my first time at Los vaqueros. Our dinner began with a wonderful server greeting us and getting our drink order. We gave our entree order and it came out hot and very quick. The quality of the food is outstanding. The best sweet tea I've tasted in a very long time. Fresh vegetables, perfectly seasoned, and hot. I'll be coming back really soon.
Very friendly staff here. They greeted us and got us in very fast. Our server was there almost instantly getting drink orders. The food was good standard fare Tex Mex. The salsa was really good. The house Margarita was good. The atmosphere is very rustic but lively. They have a patio when the weather is nice again! Will return when I'm back in the area.
First time here! We arrived just before 6pm and there was no wait. Chips and salsa are good, queso is pretty good but not white queso. Food was quick, super tasty and everyone was friendly. I got the beef enchiladas with ranchera sauce. The ranchera sauce was my favorite! My husband had the beef fajita chimichanga and he liked it but the fajita meat was lacking. Probably best to get ground beef for filling.
Not sure where to start. First off, we had to grab salt and sugar from another table. It's Friday night, restaurant is under half full, but food takes a long time to get to the table and two out of four orders are wrong. The waitress was obviously new, but bless her heart, it's not her fault she doesn't know the menu, how to work the POS system, doesn't know to keep drinks full...or maybe it is? The bill was wrong, it had an extra dollar for fajita meat which we didn't have and it had an extra dollar for no beans. After telling the waitress, she adjusted the bill, three times and it was still wrong. But after a fifteen minute delay, I gave in and just paid the bill. How was the food? Worse it had ever been, even the nachos were tasteless. We have always gone after church , the food has always been good but the service has always been slow. Update: Expect slow service but the food is normally good. They do have the best Migas around.
Food is excellent. Keg beer machines need fixed a lot. Our favorite place. However, guys who sing are obnoxious. Can't talk and can hardly hear to order. They need to stay out of the bar area.
Food was really good service was a little off beat that day
The place is beautiful and they have good food but definitely has a kick(spicy) to their food. Only problem we had was that they can't handle larger groups that come in to eat very well. They were very confused on how to seat us and messed up the orders a couple times. Overall a good place to eat!
Love the interior finish of the new building. Food was delicious. I had the sunrise enchiladas with beef fajita meat. The meat was cut into small pieces and very tender. Overall, the price is higher than similar restaurants with the same quality and service.
First time at this location. Lots different than the flagship location. Food was similar. We had a rehearsal dinner there. Middle of the week. The entire inside of the restaurant was empty, but for some reason we had to sweat our butts off outside on the patio. Ridiculous.
I love it here. The food is a little bit pricey and the drinks I feel are slightly overpriced. The drinks are made awesome and the beer is the coldest I've found between Weatherford and Fort Worth. The beer is so fresh and so cold, that is so awesome. The food is delicious that I've had so far. Every time I go I try to try something new on the menu and so far I have not been disappointed. So keep in mind I think it's ever so slightly overpriced but you will have a great experience.
We visited the restaurant on a bustling Friday night, part of a rather large birthday party. Our main waitress, Becky (if I recall correctly), did a fantastic job. She expertly managed the room with the skill of a seasoned pro. My wife ordered a spicy ranch water, while I stuck with my usual, unsweet tea. Some birthday guests noted a peculiar taste in the water. My cousin's husband, Monty, even joked about looking for minnows in his glass. I didn't find the water or tea unpleasant, perhaps they just have more refined palates. The sectioned-off room was splendid, though I was mildly annoyed by a crooked picture hanging too high to fix myself. Both my wife and I ordered the carne asada. I always enjoy a well-charred steak covered in grilled onions. The salsa and chips were good, though I would have preferred a bit more spice. My wife's spicy ranch water looked appealing, though she mentioned it could use more kick, both in heat and alcohol content. She ordered another, so it couldn't have been too bad. When the entree arrived, it was a bit underwhelming visually for a $24 dish. The charro beans were tasty, though a tad salty. There was a single onion slice atop the steak. The steak itself was about a quarter-inch thick, overcooked, and lacked any charred edges. It almost looked sous vide, with a uniform grayish color throughout. The sliced avocados and tomatoes added a nice touch, and the rice was well-cooked with good flavor. Overall, while the entree was disappointing, the excellent service and overall experience somewhat compensated for it.
Food was decent. Service was satisfactory. Salsa was great. If your in that area, give it a try.
I came here for lunch, we were seated right away and the atmosphere was great. They have a very few selections of draft beer but they do offer a variety of food choices. I went with the Deborah plate, it was good but not filling and they overpowered it with sour cream. Prices are set according to what you order. Overall I did enjoy my lunch here but it's not authentic Mexican food, it's more Americanized. My brother did not enjoy the chile relleno due to the sauce and cheese used. My buddy did get the taco special which he was effy about due to the ground beef instead of beef steak. They do offer free chips and salsa while you wait for the food, which was great.
Paid for $25ish fajitas only to be up charged for cheese and served by people in NFL tshirts, all while sitting next to fold-up plastic tables and a half empty bottle of booze. Felt like the establishment was trying to trick you into thinking it's a nicer restaurant but the only thing they did was make everything on the menu really expensive. Food tasted fine but nothing spectacular. Don't see the appeal to return when there are places close by with better food at better prices.
Wait staff were very friendly..We got fajitas.... the steak and chicken were wonderful, however the onions and peppers were not cooked. Also the margaritas tasted way too sour, like drinking pinesol.
Seems a bit over price....the beef fajitas did not have any flavor....the fixing were minimal and no sizzle accompanying the arrival of fajitas to the table. The wait person was good but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Notice the Manager just standing around and not pitching in to help our large table. Also no tributes to the mothers on MOTHERS DAY?
Probably still our go-to local spot… but man their management really needs to get a handle on why to-go orders are so often missing things. On 3 occasions the fajitas had no green or red peppers (just onions). On 2 other occasions we ordered 2 orders of fajitas and they forgot all tortillas. On another occasion they just flat out left out a meal. Hope this feedback motivates them to improve their staff paying more attention to to-go orders because I really want to like this place… if they could just get the order right consistently…
The service was preyy good except for the fact that we requested a vegetable quesadilla as an appetizer as 2 people in our party of 5 are vegetarian and they brought us steak with vegetables. The food is pretty basic. I'm not too sure about the quality of the cheese. I ordered a cheese enchilada and it came with some unidentifiable sauce on it, but it was pretty good. I just don't think that we need to go here again.
Food was okay, super long wait to get our drink order and an uncommunicative waitstaff added to the woes. Food can easily be improved with a few tweaks, the waitstaff though definitely needs a crash course in customer experience. I hate leaving negative stuff but our experience was very blah and disappointing. We will be back to give them a try again soon.
They get 3 stars for their queso with meat, ordered as appetizers. So very good, best queso Ordered tacos al carbon plate We had some folks with us so I didn't send my tacos back. However The meat had a stale taste like the meat was old. Almost border line rancit meat. Beans n rice were ok. I ate 1 taco then chewed 1/2 taco of another of the 3 that came with the plate. Husband had fajitas chicken n beef he said chicken was very dry fajitas, beef was good. I tasted his grilled onions they were good. The server was sweet but she was busy. Mexican food was pricey not that good for the money.
Didn't care for the beef enchiladas at all , service was great, rice was cold ,mango margarita was average, taco was very, very good as was the cheese enchilada with cheese sauce.
The food here is okay. Service was good. If you're looking for real Mexican food, this isn't it. It was nice and my meal was enjoyable. Tje waiter was very attentive and got everything right but I just wasn't a fan of the menu 😕. The bloody Mary was great! I did like the drinks!
We had a large group that met for lunch. Service was over ok, but getting things at time took time. When we placed our drink orders, our names were taken, but when we asked for checks, they said they had it brake it all apart. So, I did not understand taking our names at first why the bill was not already split for everyone. Food was brought out, and several orders were cold. They brought a lot of the food out together, and with them waiting on so many meals to do so, some were cold.
I came here twice in hopes that I ordered the wrong thing the first time around. They may serve Mexican food, but this is not it. The food is very much a copy/paste bland generic amalgamation. It's cooked well, but just doesn't have the authentic flavor of real Mexican restaurants. The margs were pretty light as well, but I'm no expert there..
6-30-21 Disappointed.... and after looking more at prices, this place isn't worth the price. The flavors don't do anything for me. The service was average tonight. 6-15-21 The service was excellent! Our waiter Jon was outstanding! We showed him one of the pictures on here and they didn't have it on their menu. After ordering something else Jon came back and told us they found out the picture was from their sister restaurant in Fort Worth. They were able to make the salad from the picture with the shrimp. The food turned out great. Steve, the manager, was super nice and listened to our suggestions about margarita glasses 🤞 We look forward to coming back and requesting Jon to be our waiter.
My food was good, but pretty mildly flavored. The menu had a lot of good choices. I loved that there was a patio, although it was in serious need of some sweeping, but no big deal. My $14 Mezcal margaritas were where things were lacking the most, however. No booze whatsoever. Pretty sure they were made with sweet-and-sour mix and a drop of liquid smoke
Decent food, good environment, lacking service, and unprepared for guests upon open. Went in for a lunch on my own at 11:00, when they open. When I arrived the door was locked. After waiting a few minutes somebody came outside to check on something and reluctantly let me in. The host is who ended up taking my order and bringing me things, but never checked back on me and took a long time to bring the check. Piña Colada was ok, but had large chunks of ice in it. Salsa & chips were delicious. Rice was unremarkable. Beans good, on the sweet side. Brisket tacos were really delicious, but would have been over the top if they had a hit of lime juice for some acid to break up the fattiness of the brisket, feta, & avocado. Wanted to order some flan for dessert, but apparently it’s not served at lunch. Atmosphere was quaint & clean. Nice views of the golf course.
Food was ok, but the dining room we were seated In was filthy. Air conditioner vents on then walls covered in dirt. Light fixtures covered in dirt and dust. Top of booths dirty and dusty. This place needs a very good cleaning.
It was alright.. took forever to be seated. Was told two people called out that day so they’re short staffed. The jalapeño poppers were an actual joke. 3 jalapeños cut in half with a spoon of ground beef and a slice of microwaved cheese on a giant plate was comical. Had a laugh at that lol.
First of all the server was very nice. Being off a nice golf course you would think they would maintain the restaurant better. So bland inside like the food. The beans tasted like they had too much garlic. Did not eat. The rice was good but fajita's had no flavor. Salsa no heat and also bland. Might try again.
Only four tables occupied at 7:30 on Sat evening says it all. The prices were very high for ordinary tasting Tex Mex in a low energy atmosphere. The initial turn off was the sticky table.
Not impressed. Took a long time to get seated when there were no other customers. Dirty plates left on tables. Waitress was good. Food was lukewarm Fajita meat was not seasoned well and tough. Queso was watery and bland. Maybe we came on a bad day.
Wow very expensive $14 for a 2 ground beef enchilada lunch!!. The corn tortillas were not pre-steamed or cooked so they had the raw texture!! and taste!! Yes they were raw tortillas that had not been cooked!!! I. Plus im from West Texas, I know how to cook Mexican and Tex-Mex. I had to take my meat out of them to eat!!! Unless they fix this don't waste your money I'm giving a 2 stars for the young lady in the bar area that served me. It's not for the food!! She was fantastic. That was where I was set even though I only had water to drink. The taste of the enchiladas were good, the rice was fantastic and I'm not a refried bean person, but they were ok. The cook needs too cook their tortillas!!!!!! Then I'll change my stars 🌟
Have been going to Los Vaqueros for years. Back when they were near the golf course. Food and drinks were always top notch But that has changed. Four of us went to the Willow Parks restaurant the other day. The food was bland and the Margaritas were weak The waitress was under trained. I had to call her over to have our finished plated removed from the table. It was not a busy night but several tables were not bussed as four employees stood together talking Maybe this is a sign of the times. Sad
Nice place with good chip & hot sauce, but the carne asada & tacos al carbon had NO seasoning & taste like wet coal.. Been seeing this place for year's driving by going west, but expected good favored tex-mex but I can scratch of my bucket list.. Chipotle has better season steak & chicken.. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Just being real 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Food was ok, not as good as stockyards. Waitress was older lady and very disrespectful. It was my birthday, my mom is older and she kept calling her grandma. She asked about reason and relationship and didn't listen. She was told it was my birthday but kept patting on my daughter saying her birthday. There was 7 of us 4 tickets. All left tips and app only allowed 18%, 20% etc nothing typed and required. She received tips on all and receipts showed that tip. She Distastfully came out and asked is service was bad as no tips left. Rude and totally uncalled for. My birthday lunch of my family traveling over hour half for some was very disappointing and sad. So much for a great birthday due to rude waitress. Don't call older people grandma, some people hate that term, listen when you ask questions and dont confront people when you clearly got at least %18 or more tip from entire table.
Entry and hostess- 0 out of 10. No eye contact, stood there for 15 minutes and had to request that we be added to the waiting list. One would think she would say, welcome in… We were told 35 more minute wait. Obviously a sign to get us to leave. Then 2 minutes later, our table is ready. Our server was much better. However it was a very bad start. Food was good, but not prepared how I asked. Tables appeared to be sticky. I my opinion, there are much better restaurants in the area. First impressions by the hostess is super important. This lady is the wrong person for the job.
Pics looked great so thought we would give it a shot..menus on tables like a placemat in very ratty tattered plastic. Prices for Mexican food of where a menu should have been in a leather bound book. Nothing below $16 and on a chaulkboard they advertised fajitas from $40-48 for 2-3 people the 3 of us decided to go that route. VERY DISAPPOINTED! 2 platters of a serving spoonful of refried beans spread out flat on a platter(from a can most likely)with a serving spoonful of rice a tblspoon of pico(so little I think that's what it was) then a melon ball scoop of guacamole the size of my thumb. No lettuce, no sour cream and no shredded cheese!!!! Salsa was so hot you could barely eat it! Oh and queso was like water, must of been pkg kind you add milk to no flavor no tomatoes!!!!! Oh drinks "1/2price happy hour" if you get a margarita with a flavor ie: melon or strawberry not included they add that fee o to your check for the extra... better Mexican food seriously at Taco Bell!°
The food was bland and wrong. When we went in the floor was covered in trash not like they didn’t noticed though they had a girl sweeping but after one section she just gave up on it. When the food came out it was the wrong thing from what we ordered and the waitress even dropped my plate from it being too hot and cursed loudly. The kitchen staff wasn’t even wearing proper clothing they were wearing tank tops and no gloves. My beef was bland no seasoning at all. Oh and the queso tasted like melted easy cheese.
High prices and a very hit or miss menu. Came in with a large group and about half of what we ordered just wasn't good. But by far the biggest issue was that anything involving water - drinks soups etc - had a horrible taste, almost like mildew.
Waited at the door to be seated, and was ignored by all the staff, so we left.
I called and confirmed that we could bring our dog, and drove 45 minutes to get there only to be told that the patio service was not open. I'd have appreciated it if I was told not to visit today instead of “we’ll see you soon”. Not coming back - ever.
4/17. Dinner. Watery house margarita. Steak Ranchera, decent, but $39.95? Not even close. $25 would be more appropriate.
For Tex mex, it has absolutely no flavor. If you don't want flavor in your food, this place is perfect. I had chicken enchiladas. The chicken had absolutely no flavor including salt or pepper. They just poured regular sour cream on top of the enchiladies. Rice had no flavor. Because we were a party of 10, they decided that everybody needed to pay 20% graduating.
Recommended by a friend but turner out to be the worst tasting water ever. Margaritas were subpar to say the least. Salsa was ok. All menu items were $14+. Didn’t stay to find out what the food was like. Will not be returning again.
Never been to that restaurant before. We thought the place looks pretty full, must be decent. Taco cabana makes that place look bad. Had steak tacos and they was literally steak inside of a tortilla (out of a bag not fresh made) and had no seasoning and not another thing in them. Margarita tasted like lime juice with no alcohol at all. The place inside looks like a restaurant that was closed 10 years ago and they just re-opened the door and turned on the lights (dirty, pink and yellow walls, geez). Server was nice and polite. That’s the one star. The rest of the experience is a zero star, from the food, drinks and the restaurant itself. Save yourself some money ($58 in my case) and get you some taco h(b)ell. At least they’ll be some flavor to your food unlike this place and you won’t feel like you got robbed.
We were super excited to try this place, reviews have been good but I doubt that we will ever go back. I had the Carne Asada and it was probably the worst, ever! Was the meat marinated, or seasoned in any way? No, even salt didn't help. Service was a 4 out of 10 and food was 2 out of 10 at best. Very disappointed in the experience, we will not return.
This restaurant is awful. I would not recommend it at all. First, the service was horrible. Our waitress never returned after bringing out drinks. We had to flag down another waitress who took our order and followed up on our order. Our waitress did bring the food but never checked back. I asked for the tip to be transferred to the waitress that actually provided some service. Now, the food. It did not taste good and I had a HAIR in my food. I did not report it because, what was the point. Would NEVER come back to this restaurant. We were there on Saturday.
Ive been to the los vaqueros in the stockyards and this was not the same at all. The margaritas were terrible and the food was way over priced and mediocre. You're better off going to Oaxaca or chuys. Also whoever decided to black out the windows was a terrible decision. It gives it creepy vibe. It didn't help that our server looked high out of her mind. I will definitely never be coming back to this restsraunt
Got seated right away and got a drink order in, but after that we were ghosted for like 10 mins even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Finally got the drink but wasn’t asked if we wanted any food. At this point we were hungry, but the lighting inside was super harsh and the drink was not great, so when our waitress finally came back around, we ended up just paying and leaving. Can’t say we’ll be back.
My family and I had lunch at Los Vaqueros today, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. My wife and daughter ordered beef tacos, and I went with the chicken fajitas. At every other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to, fajitas are served sizzling on a skillet, but here they were simply plated together with everything on one plate. They only gave me two flour tortillas, and the fajitas lacked flavor. My wife and daughter didn’t care for their beef tacos either. On the positive side, our server was friendly and attentive. However, the food itself just wasn’t good, and for us, it wasn’t worth coming back. This was our first — and our last — visit to Los Vaqueros.
Food was horrible and most of our meals were left on the table. Grey ground beef in everything, kitchen clearly didn’t know what was on the menu or supposed to be on the plates. Little to no seasoning. The server seemed to try, but she claimed that it was only her second night. Carts full of bus tubs and dirty dishes parked all over the dining room. Should have known something was wrong when there were only a few cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night. Not sure about the first location, but warn everyone off this second location.
