One of the nicest and politest places I've eaten at Winter Park. It might also be that our waiter, Ashley made us feel welcome and comfortable. The fried calamari appetizer was delicious and the tomato sauce was just right! We also ordered spaghetti carbonara which was really delicious. It was not flooded with butter or cream that some restaurants depend on for the taste. It was just the right amount of creaminess, pepper, and pancetta. The portion size was decent for my spouse and I, too. Also, there was a delightful onion taste which just took it to another level. What I mean by that is that it felt you were eating at a restaurant but it had a delightful home-cooked meal taste to it, too. This combination always make me trust a place better. Great experience!
I recently went to a great dinner at Armando’s during one of the coldest nights of the year. It was a Wednesday and fairly empty outside so we got a great seat looking out at the street with a heater above us, which made it very pleasant with the calm lighting. The service was excellent, our waiter Jean Lucas (I tried to spell it well🥲) was always checking in with us and ensuring we were enjoying our food. He also pours the beer perfectly. Overall the food was very delicious, I had the lasagna and my girlfriend had the mushroom ravioli—both were beautifully presented and just the right amount. If you’re in the mood for good Italian food in an authentic and beautiful spot go to Armando’s!
This was my first visit. Will definitely not be my last. 15 of us had family Christmas Eve dinner there. Christmas Eve at restaurants is very difficult on the staff as it is so expectations are usually pretty low. I was absolutely blown away by something I got that really wasn't on the menu and the care of the presentation and the quality of the food was just amazing. The staff was professional, courteous, and went over the top and I know how busy they were and that made it so much more special. It is my new favorite restaurant. I ordered the Zupa De Pesche which is the best I have ever had anywhere. The fish was plentiful and cooked to absolute perfection. Every entree at our table was shared and there wasn't one thing that wasn't just unbelievably satisfying. Thank you all for such a great visit can't wait to come back and see you again.
Writing this review a few weeks after I visited and the salmon salad, with a citrus vinaigrette, still lingers in my mind. It suited the mood for something light that day. 3rd visit. Chicken marsala was good. This version is made with a dry marsala as opposed to a sweet one. I love the fact you can switch out the pasta here for vegetables. They almost always have broccoli, but today I chose the spinach and it was prepared well. 2nd visit. The pollo Sofia was excellent. The tomato sauce, garlic, wine, basil, and cherry tomatoes all come together into this perfect sauce. Chicken was moist. It's a light dish perfect for a mid week lunch when you're not looking to be carb comatose. I substituted broccoli for the pasta and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked as well. Liked it even more than I thought I would. Would definitely get it again. The focaccia-like bread that was brought to the table promptly was a warm, nice, fermented (I'm guessing) high-hydration dough with great crumb, and flavor for days. Olive oil and balsamic dip cheered it on. The waitress was perfectly attentive and thorough.
Jonathan was an exceptional server. Knowledgeable, personable, and courteous! The vibe here is special and the food is delicious. I highly suggest the bread pudding!
I love the atmosphere - rustic farmhouse meets fine wine, candlelight dinner, & flavorful dishes. A perfect combo for Orlando's Magical Dining for it truly was. Thank you to Paola for your great service & dish recommendations: Polpette for an appetizer & Veal Pizzaiola w/spaghetti as my entrée. The fairy tale ending of Tiramisu paired wonderfully w/ my espresso. And yes, I think I will come back to try more of your wonderful, wonderful, & yet again, wonderful cuisine.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I ate at Armando’s with my family on a Friday night, and it was hands down the best Italian food I’ve had in my life. Not “one of” — the best. Every single dish was executed flawlessly — fresh ingredients, rich flavors, perfect portions, and stunning presentation. You could taste the craftsmanship in every bite. The service? Impeccable. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. Drinks were never empty, questions were answered with confidence, and the timing between courses was spot on. The kitchen staff clearly knows what the heck they’re doing — you could feel the pride and precision behind the scenes. On top of that, the ambiance was cozy and inviting without trying too hard. It felt like a place where both first dates and family dinners belong. If you love Italian food — real Italian food — do NOT skip this place. I’d recommend Armando’s to anyone, without hesitation. Worth every penny and then some. I’m already planning my next visit!
There are not enough words to describe how amazing our dinner at Armandos was. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. We ordered the vodka pasta, chicken parmigiana, the fish of the day (served with asparagus and spaghetti), bruschettas, a macchiato, and of course, their tiramisu — every single dish was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Special shoutout to our server, Alberto, who truly made the afternoon even better. He was kind, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. His service was as flawless as the food. Can’t wait to come back — this place is officially a favorite! 🍝✨
Absolutely fantastic! We had a 20 person group and they were absolutely delightful to work with. Food was excellent!
One of my favorite spots. I've been here a few times now and its been amazing every time. The food is 10/10, the staff are attentive, and the space is so cozy and comfortable. A great spot for a date night, gal's brunch, or group events since they have a separate room! Today we went for lunch and I got the Pollo Sofia and my friend got the Pollo al Marsala and we both absolutely loved our dishes. I had the papperdelle alla vodka last time I went and I have not forgotten that vodka sauce. Chef's kiss, special mention here even though I didnt even get it today. Would absolutely recommend that dish. This restaurant is a pasta lover's dream.
I recently dined at Armando’s with a big party, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, every dish was bursting with fresh flavors and cooked to perfection. The pasta was exceptional, and the wine selection was on point. A special shout-out to our server, Samuel, who made our experience even more memorable. Their attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and friendly attitude really stood out. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Highly recommend this gem to anyone craving delicious Italian cuisine and impeccable service! Can’t wait to return!

Food was great! Our 1st time, so we ordered more than we could eat in one sitting. Enjoyed the Cesar and mixed greens salads. The veal piccata with lemon, garlic, and capers was flavorful and tender. We would order the above again. I had the parpadelle pasta with salmon. It had a tomato base, not saffron cream, as stated in the online menu. Very good, but I'll try something different next time.

Loved it and our server was excellent! My husband had been with work the week before and liked it so much that he took me. :-)
Food was good (steak was just a wee bit over cooked but still really good, would order again, everything else was awesome). The truffle sauce on the filet was incredible, and I hate truffle anything. Recommend! Waiter was phenomenal, recommendations (like wine!) were on point, service was great, food was excellent. If you’ve been to Italy, it’s not quite there… but it’s excellent and the service is as good if not better than the food. Recommend!
The lovely location and friendly staff help balance the slowish service. Standard Italian fare, with the food quality slipping a little as ingredient prices skyrocket. (My go-to, the meatballs, don't seem to have as much beef these days.) Still, the marinara is spot-on and my dining companions seem happy with their choices.

My family and I went to Armando’s for the first time tonight. We live in Melbourne, so we come to Winter park for special occasion. The service and the food was outstanding. The price was reasonable. We had there chicken Tatiana, pappardelle al salmon, and veal piccata. All three were flavored as good as expected and plentiful portions. The server, Mia, was outstanding. She is attentive to the customer ensuring their drink glasses were always full and food was delivered hot and with a smile.
Armando is a treat. Set in a beautiful paved hi end Street, surrounded by other vibey restaurants and shops. A lovely take on traditional Italian. I had a carbonara, which was on the chef's recommendation list. It was absolutely delicious. My colleagues had the salmon salad, and the bolognese. They were raving about the flavours. This waiter was friendly and attentive. We shared a bottle of the sauvignon blanc from the Napa valley. It was good and reasonably priced. Overall definitely worth the visit.
Service can improve. We were rushed thru ordering and water refills were never delivered unless requested. The atmosphere and food were amazing (except for the calamari which was very chewy and not crispy)♥️ we tried the gnocchi, cheese ravioli, margarita pizza, bolognese pasta, and the carbonara they were all delicious. For desert the bread pudding and the tiramisu were excellent. Stay away from the chocolate lava cake the offer tho it was deflated and not good at all.
Beautiful yet simple atmosphere . We were not lucky ordering the family pasta made in a cheese . It wasn’t bad but not great when compare to other places we had it before and over priced . We will come back to try other dishes and fair when evaluating this place. Service and friendliness was appreciated and great.
Tried this restaurant one more time and was pleasantly surprised and happy that I always go bavk to try a restaurant again if I don't have a good 1st dining experience. This time the food was on point and had very good flavor. I'll definitely come back again. I am a little disappointed in this restaurant. While I loved the flavor of their red sauce, I wasn't a fan of the rest of the food at our table. Also, I asked the server for specials, and he then, in turn, asked what we liked. We informed him that we came in initially thinking lasagna, seafood, and steak. He then told us his favorite dishes but didn't alert us to the specials we asked about. After we received our food, we overheard the server at a table nearby telling that table the specials of Mahi Mahi as well as a Filet. We looked at each other and said that we most likely would have gotten those choices instead. I'll go back and try different offerings to see if it was the choices we got, and this place is actually pretty good or if our first impression of their food was correct for our pallet. Look for future updates!

This was the Rigatoni Formaggi with added chicken. As you can see it does not look very appetizing and there is no chicken. If this were my first time ordering from Armando’s I would have given a 1 star, but I still gave a 4 star because when I go in person the food is wonderful. When I order to my house it’s complete opposite. Maybe the Uber driver keeps stealing my chicken and is driving like a maniac- who knows.

I visited for a work lunch recently. Overall, the experience was okay. The food was decent but nothing particularly memorable or extraordinary. Service could have been stronger. We had to ask multiple times about the dessert options since we weren’t provided a menu to reference. It felt like our questions were not well received, which made the interaction a bit uncomfortable. Not a bad experience, but not an elevated or standout one either.
Honestly disappointed. I have wanted to try this place for a while but I always go to the place next door because I love their food. I gave Armandos a try and I am regretting it. I had to ask for the bread that every table had, I was empty on water but didn't see our waiter after food was delivered. Another waiter would pass by and see our water glasses empty and fill his table but walk right by us, not great teamwork. Food was okay, very salty but since I never saw our server we just ate it. I wanted to try dessert and have more wine but the experience left me so disappointed I just paid the check. I won't be back.
The place was beautiful, service was great, and food and drinks were good at a decent price. My only complaint was the risotto. I loved the seasoning, the seafood was delicious, but the risotto was more like rice than creamy like risotto. It was more like a paella. Other than that, great night.
The food and service were consistent with past visits—decent overall. Unfortunately, the cleanliness has noticeably declined. The tablecloth was stained, there was silverware under the table, and the floors were extremely dirty. For a Winter Park restaurant with an average of about $30 per person, the experience felt more like a Pine Hills diner.

It was Valentine's Day and we wanted to have dinner at this place. We called and were told our table would be available in about 45 minutes for indoor seating and that we would receive a call once it was ready. We arrived and 50 minutes had already passed, so we decided to ask. When we approached the host, she told us the only options were to sit outside or at the bar. I explained to the host that I had been told on the phone that I could get a tablet inside, but she said there was nothing she could do about it. We decided to get a table outside since we were already there and sat at the tables on the street (which we didn't mind). After sitting down, we noticed the table was uneven, covered in leaves from the tree, and didn't have a lamp like all the other tables had. I ended up asking the host to please bring us a lamp so we wouldn't have to sit in the dark (honestly, I thought they were punishing us for asking to sit inside in the first place 😂). Our waitress, on the other hand, was AMAZING, I think her name was Paola... She was very friendly and seemed to know everything. Although it took a little while for our food to arrive, it was fine; I'd give it a 6/10. Finally, I should add that the bathroom floor was covered in liquid; I hope it was water, but it didn't smell very good. I understand that Valentine's Day is usually a very busy day, but for the price we paid, I think it could have been better. 🙏🏻
