Never again, that's what I thought after I left this place. We were with a big group of about sixteen people and had made reservations beforehand, so the restaurant knew we were coming.
Firstly, when we entered the restaurant (we dined there in winter) it was quite chilly in there, but ok, energy prizes are expensive, so I can understand the need to economize.
Most of our group chose from the menu of the day, expecting this would be easiest for the kitchen. Alas we had to wait ages before our lunch arrived. And the food itself was very mediocre. I ordered the snails as an appetizer and was surprised to find they were not served in their shell. The mussels I has as a main course were really tiny and again, I had to wait a long time before they brought the accompanying fries, which were sadly baked to hard.
The ventilation in the restaurant was bad, so the smell of the food stuck to our clothes. Service was not really up to standard. They brought our dessert before removing the dishes and cutlery of the main course from out table. Service was very friendly though, but I got the feeling they lacked proper training and not all the staff was assigned to a clear task.
The chocomousse was decent, but to our surprise during the meal the restaurant started playing very loud music. Something we were not expecting at lunch time. Not very pleasant.

Nothing special, and very rude and annoying behavior of old guy-probably owner or manager. I booked reservation from fork for 4 people, and I have discount of 50€ from the fork. And, one of my friends didn't find anything to eat from that menu, and we ordered for 3 people. But, that manager told us we need to order for 4, and I said, you can change the reservation to 3 people, but he denied and forced us to left the restaurant. My brother proposed 50€ tips for them without eating anything. And we left the restaurant.
Price is too high.. Worse people in the service, my first day in Belgium, and has bad experience.

It's so refreshing to find a well served place in Europe...
Warm an fast service, well prepared and presented dishes and a good assortment of Belgium beers...at an affordable price...
And is just paces from Galerie du Roi...

Update - lowering from 3🌟 to 2🌟 because of management’s rude responses. They have been replying to all critiques with much hostility, even telling one customer who simply didn’t like the food to “never show his face in the restaurant again”. They make the point that, because you apply 50% discount from The Fork, you cannot complain about the price, but discounts don’t last forever and, in my view, restaurants should be evaluated based on their regular price (or do you serve different meals when we book on The Fork?!).
Review:
Beautiful venue with underwhelming food. The service was fine, but the food was “meh” - and felt like something we could easily make at home. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, as there are (in my opinion) better options in the area.
Sides are paid for separately (4€ each), which is shocking for a 26€ salmon or 27€ steak. Very overpriced overall, even though the location is nice and central.
I was very excited to taste the salmon and, while it was cooked perfectly, the honey sauce was overpowering and waaaaay too sweet. I would suggest serving the sauce in a separate container, so that we can add as much or as little as we want. As a personal tip, I think adding some chilli or mustard to the sauce could help bridge the connection between honey and the salmon.
