Estuvimos unos días en Guanajuato, comimos varias veces en este restaurante, nos gustó mucho. Para el 15 de septiembre hicimos una reservación, la cena deliciosa. Vale mucho la pena, los chicos que atienden son súper amables , las porciones de los platos son muy buenas, la carta es corta y eso se agradece. Excelente lugar. Volveremos 😀

Todo super rico!! Si quieres desayunar es antes de la 1, tienen paquetes de desayuno y te dan opciones de desayuno, la panadería dicen que es prometedora pero ya no nos toco.

Restaurante, ubicado dentro del Hotel Casona Alonso 10 Un menú breve de comida tradicional mexicana, elaborada con ingredientes de alta calidad. Explotan a la perfección, los sabores y las texturas. Totalmente recomendable. El servicio podría mejorar un poco

Excelente lugar, la comida es muy rica, buenas porciones, y el servicio es muy bueno, ideal para una cena romántica o una cena casual.

El pan de guayaba es un manjar que comentan llega del día; la especialidad del huevo Alonso es delicioso. El café americano sin duda es lo mejor para acompañar el desayuno. El personal muy amable y capacitado sabe la historia del lugar. Definitivamente una opción imperdible de Guanajuato.

Deliciosa comida con muy rica variedad de platillos tradicionales. El servicio es muy atento y amable. Vistamos el restaurante 4 veces en 3 días porque, eso lo dice todo.

Buena comida y porciones, el café también es muy bueno. El pan fue lo que más nos gustó de ahí, está excelente; sobre todo el que está relleno de chocolate, es estilo francés. La atención de la mesera excelente, a parte de que veníamos con dos extranjeros y hablaba muy bien el inglés, ésto facilitó el servicio a nuestra mesa. Mil gracias.

Un lugar muy tradicional, los platillos son diferentes y sabrosos. El conjunto hizo que desayunar fue diferente y sabrozo! Lo recomiendo mucho y pedi huevos aporreadillo. Estaban deliciosos y el platillo sin duda bastante bien servido!! Tambien cuando llegamos ibana terminar casi el servicio de desayuno a pesar nos recibieron. Pedimos un pan dulce igual estuvo delicioso! Gracias por este momento único el ambiente tranquilo.

Simplemente espectacular! Todo en Comedor Tradicional es exquisito, el lugar es muy agradable y se siente un ambiente único. Es muy céntrico y fácil de llegar caminando ya que está en el centro de la ciudad. El restaurante está dentro del hotel boutique Alonso 10. Por el momento nos tocó solo desayuno pero próximamente tendrán comida y cena además de un whisky bar que se ve increíble en el sótano que es parte de los túneles del antíguo Guanajuato que quedó enterrado tras la inundación. Todo el personal siempre muy atento y servicial, Charly es el mejor mesero de Guanajuato! Siempre alegre y con la mejor disposición, nos ayudó con todas nuestras dudas sobre los platillos y nos dio sus recomendaciones muy acertadas. En esta ocasión los visitamos dos veces y quedamos impresionados con la cocina y sazón de su chef Fernando, el cuál tuvimos el gusto de conocer y felicitar personalmente. Recomiendo los huevos Alonso que para mí gusto fue mi favorito, Huevo Aporreadillo, Carne se cerdo con frijoles! El pan dulce también es espectacular y no te lo puedes perder, es elaborado en la panadería del hotel la casa del rector. Simplemente un lugar increíble con comida deliciosa. Sin duda una joya en alimentos en Guanajuato. Muy recomendable 👍🏻

Si quieren una extraordinaria experiencia gastronómica en Guanajuato, el Comedor Tradicional Guanajuato es una obligación. Ubicado en una de las calles mas tradicionales de la ciudad, dentro del hotel Alonso 10, cuenta con una carta corta pero super bien diseñada. Los escamoles con tuétano tienen un sabor delicado, la lengua es perfecta y el mole almendrado es espectacular; para cerrar con broche de oro el pan de elote. Todo extraordinario 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nov 23 - Ingredientes tradicionales en platillos con auténticos sabores que se disfrutan desde el momento en que llegan a tu mesa, recomiendo 100% ya que desde el menú se aprecia el esfuerzo y diseño de cada ingrediente para generar un sabor único. El staff fue increíblemente amable y el lugar es acogedor.

El lugar es muy bonito , la comida estaba muy buena , tienen buen servicio y opciones vegetarianas. El pan dulce que probamos esta delicioso 👌 Café de olla 👌

El servicio excelente. Fuimos en grupo, pedimos al centro entradas con base de mole y huitlacoche, todo excelente calidad y sabor. Los fuertes fueron la lengua, pollo en mole y mole de pistache. El sabor y combinaciones de ingredientes es sensacional.

Excelente experiencia gastronómica. El mole hecho con 37 ingredientes es riquísimo. El restaurante está precioso y el servicio brindado por Edson y el equipo también fue excelente. Mi esposa y yo aprendimos más de la alta cocina mexicana en Cocina Tradicional.

¡Buenísimo y un lugar bellísimo! El personal es amable de más, que mesero tan agradable. Los alimentos son DELICIOSOS, recomiendo los chilaquiles verdes, me encantaron, yo no soy una persona de chilaquiles pero estos, deliciosos. La panadería muy buena. El lugar es super agradable y cómodo, bonito por donde lo veas. Definitivamente recomiendo y regresaría 100% Plus: te dan agüita sin cobrartela

Food, and service by Antonio, was excellent. My husband was very impressed by how he uncooked our wine. Much attention to details and he always had a smile. He provided a lot of fun facts about the establishment. The restaurants esthetic is traditional but not overwhelming. The regional wine suggested was a 10 so we bought the last bottle to have once we got home. We had Sopa de milpa, empanada en Mole and Porkbelly, all delicious. Angel was also very attentive and funny. When we come back to GTO, we will look into staying at their hotel or minimum dine again at the restaurant. Muchas Gracias Muchachos. Mucho mejor que Casa Valadez.

Great relaxing atmosphere with excellent service. Feel like you are in own world of a luxury hotel cafe with friendly staff. We went for brunch and the food was all fresh and well prepared. Would have preferred a bit more spice on breakfast dishes, but salsa was provided and worked great. Same with the sweets needed to request a little agave syrup to take to next level. Overall very pleased with experience for a relaxing brunch.

A top class dining experience for food lovers. The food was sublime- fresh ingredients, presented beautifully and delicious. Every course was 10/10. The staff were welcoming, attentive and really educated on the dishes served. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, a fest for the eyes- the artwork, architecture and interiors. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more highly. It is on the pricier side but worth it for the experience!

Our visit to Guanajuato was amplified by our multiple dining experiences at Comedor. Everything we tried, from a Chliaquiles with a phenomenal pasilla sauce to an empanada with pistachio mole, roasted cauliflower ……desserts, pork dishes, cheese plate… amazing. There were no misses over 3 meals served by our wonderful Waitress Luce. The atmosphere with the high Colonial wood rafter ceilings, elegant Art, and comfortable furniture only added to what was already excellent. This experience comes at a great value with affordable pricing that exceeds expectations.

This is upscale Mexican dining. I didn’t notice any locals eating here but the food here is solid and so is the service. Food - The portions are big and not just the leg of beef. They’re filling. Each entree had mole and they’re pleasant. The leg of beef, beef tongue and roast beef were so tender. The meat just fell off the bone for the leg of beef. The chicken wasn’t dry and that is a huge win. All entree items were salted well, but not overpowering. The drinks were delightful and they didn’t skimp out on the alcohol. The desserts were well-balanced and not overly sweet. Price point - We dined as 4 people with 1 entry, 1 drink, and about 1 dessert totally about 42 USD or about 750 pesos per person. Entry is about 25 USD or 450 pesos if it’s a beef item. Service - The three waitresses that tended to us were on-point and super sweet. Ambience - Looked like it’s something part of 4/5 star hotel, so it’s pretty bougie. It didn’t have any music on and that’s okay. It was nice to be able to carry out conversations with friends and family. Bonus! - Bathroom - It’s super clean with many stalls for you to relieve yourself. Overall rating - 5/5 I would super recommend and would come back.😁

The food here is truly exceptional. We ordered pork belly, fish, and beef tongue. I especially enjoyed the pork belly—it was incredibly tender and juicy. Surprisingly, there weren't as many guests as one might expect, which is a shame given the quality of the food. I highly recommend that travelers give this place a try.

Had a wonderful meal...tried 3 different moles including a limited time pistachio mole...the desserts were amazing the meal was wonderful...in Guanajuato so you get the traditional Mexico vibe...would totally recommend for a nice dinner. Plus the servers were very attentive and spoke very good English.

We always go to Casa Valadez but this time we want to try a new place. After a quick walk around town, we came across this place. Usually, if the place is empty, we don't entertain going in, but because we were exploring, we decided to give a shot. They did not disappoint us. The food was very good,a bit expensive, but good. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

We initially planned to dine at a completely different restaurant, but luckily, they didn't have a table available. Feeling a bit chilled, we decided to explore nearby and stumbled upon this delightful gem. With a concise menu offering authentic Mexican dishes, we opted for the beef risotto, which turned out to be one of the best I've ever had. Later, we indulged in chicken with traditional mole – absolutely divine. Unfortunately, I missed capturing the cheesecake, but trust me, it was delicious. We'll definitely revisit during our stay in Guanajuato. Notably, the service was top-notch. Our server, whose name I couldn't catch but possibly started with an 'M,' wore a dot red bow on her head and she was incredibly sweet and wonderful. A fantastic dinner, a delightful time, and interestingly, this hidden gem is just around the corner from the busiest street. Truly a remarkable find worth noting.

What a gem! Traditional local cuisine including dishes with several types of mole. The server was really good and spoke excellent English - I had no idea what escamoles were (Mexican caviar - look it up!) so I tried those and yum. We also had the beef rib with mole and cauliflower with mole, both excellent. Enjoyed a nice Mexican wine with it as well. All in all, very much recommend!

Es un lugar tamaño mediano con un bar y baños hermosos bajando las escaleras. Es un restaurante gourmet con precios adecuados al estilo. Los meseros son jóvenes presentables educados pero sin mucha experiencia en el servicio de somelier. Una capacitación sencilla ayudaría mucho a su trabajo.

Llegamos a este restaurante por los reviews de otros usuarios. Antes de entrar revisamos el menú que está en la entrada. Encontramos platillos que nos interesaron y pedimos mesa. Nos decepcionó que una vez sentados, nos informaron que el menú real no estaba actualizado y que de las 2 hojas que se observaban en la entrada solo tenían algunos platillos disponibles por reducción. Los platillos tienen muy buena pinta, pedimos chilaquiles, se ven muy bien pero el sabor no fue sorprendente. Pedimos un atole blanco del día, que fue de guayaba y ese si estuvo delicioso. Luego, nos ofrecieron pan, seleccionamos uno de muerto con ceniza, y resultó que “ya estaba apartado por alguien más”. Al final, ya no consumimos pan. No nos quedamos con las ganas, diría que la comida tiene mejor pinta que sabor. El servicio podría ser más transparente y honesto.

They are experts at slow-cooking their meats here. Great depth of flavor on the beef, lamb, and pork belly. It's very classy for GTO. You'll probably only encounter wealthy extranjeros aquí. Service can be entirely in English, if you're into that kind of thing. Staff is a little hands off, pero muy amable y respetuoso. La cuenta fue ~$50 USD per persona.

We were the only ones in the whole place and it still took quite a while to get drinks/food. The ceviche was okay but the tortillas were rock hard and the enchiladas were disappointing. Quite expensive for the quality.

I was not exactly impressed. The space itself is nice enough, modern interior design with touches of traditional Mexican décor. The bar downstairs looks cool, though it was deserted when I visited on Dia de Muertos. Service was pretty good, our waiter spoke good English, was attentive and prompt. The food was unfortunately very average. It seemed like it was seasoned for the palate of old people from north of the border. Presentation was ok but the taste was very disappointing. For the same price you can have two better meals in any number of restaurants in Guanajuato.
