Hometown favorite!!!! I have lived many places and Guy's is still the BEST sub shop!!! Always a must when back in the area.

Serving sizes are small compared to most (i.e. anybody not named McDonalds) of the competition in the area. But the quality is unmatched.

I had a Turkey melt brought home for me, and it has always been very good! When I requested extra mayonnaise, the right amount was put on. Some places either put on way too much or not extra at all. 10/10

I love guys I've been. Going there over 30 years and my husband lived in Akron. We live in batavia but if you want a good sub it's worth the trip my daughter now takes her kids there. I wish they would open one in batavia.

Have been going to Guy's for 45 years now. Have moved to Rochester for the last 30 plus years and still stop at Guy's every time we are anywhere near Akron. Our kids have followed our obsession and now our son insists on a trip to Guy's when he's on leave from the navy.

Hands down the best sub shop in WNY! The bread is toasted perfectly, the oil is perfect and the sun actually stays intact while you eat it. We take the 45 minute trip to Guy’s a few times a month. Delicious!

Always good. Great and varied Subs and the menu has expanded. Great Fish fry even if the fries are a non traditional version. Huge portions. Subs made fresh every time. Has maintained high standards for the years we have been going there.

I love this place. They have the best selection in town. Sometimes I feel bad for not giving the other shops a chance, but these guys nailed it. Their menu is fully loaded. Salads, subs, dinners, quick bites.. the nice elder lady is always sweet as can be. They are fast enough to get your food on lunch break, but I suggest calling ahead so that your order is ready. I'd estimate that it takes 10-15 minutes from the time you order until the time your order is ready to go.

Not sure why this place doesn't have a full 5 review. I'm 66 years old and have lived in many places. Guy's subs are the best I've tasted. I also grew up on Cape Cod and, although their clam chowder is not "traditional" for the east coast, it's magnificently delicious and the best I've had.

Excellent and a blast from the past! I grew up in Clarence and enjoyed going to Guy’s Subs on Main Street in the 1970s and ‘80s. But it disappeared. Happily, this Akron site supplies all the delicious food I loved. The steak sub with cheese is as wonderful as I remembered, with a slightly toasted bun and delicious veggies. Great food at a decent price. You will be glad you stopped in!

Ordered the Garden Burger Veggie Sub for lunch the other day. Definatly worth the money. The roll was well- toasted and crunchy and the vegetables were very fresh. Polite staff and my sub was ready less than 10 minutes from ordering. Will be returning.

My favorite place for a sub, I get one every time I can get over to Akron. I hope they never change the recipe for the sub oil they use. It's one of the best aspects of the subs here! This has been my favorite sub and sandwich place since I was a kid. Highly recommend a trip out here to get one of their famous subs with that spectacular sub oil they make specially in house.

After eating my way around Buffalo area to the find the best chicken finger sub, I have found it here. Bread was toasted correctly, fingers were sauced well, and toppings were perfect with the little bit of pepper they added. I would definitely recommend.

Stopped in here while staying in the areas. The sandwiches were delicious and it was a great hole in the wall kind of place with friendly and prompt service. I had the chicken club and my husband had the meatball melt. The waffle fries were great too. Only negative would be the meatball could have used more marinara but that might just be our preferences. Definitely recommend!

This is a bare bones dining room and the food is so good. I loved Guy's subs when I was in high school 50 years ago and go every time I visit my home town nowadays.

This sub place is maybe the best kept secret in WNY. I'm pretty much a weekly customer at this point and we get it for lunch on Fridays most of the time. I'm not sure how they do it but a simple turkey cheddar sub here has no much more flavor than anywhere else. Only room for improvement is the online ordering system doesn't track stock of items, somewhat frequently they will not have a side available and they just refund you in cash or put you on the spot to ask what you want instead. I would prefer to just get refunded on my original payment method instead of getting cash and a bunch of coins back.

Ample parking. Easy to find. Plenty of seating and booths. Friendly staff. Lots of options. Today 6 of us went during the Akron soccer tournament to grab lunch. We all ordered subs. Steak in the grass. Turkey ham. Two capicola. Chicken finger subs. I ordered mine capicola to be fried first it was delicious. Thank you. Great spot to go.

Love this sub shop! Staff is super nice and the place is clean. It's one of those restaurants that you can just tell is going to have great food as soon as you walk in. Great vibes! Best yet, they have a vegetarian selection and the veggie burger sub was great. I added mushrooms and fried onions to mine and they were super accommodating. Would absolutely recommend.

Have eaten here several times, always good and family likes it. Would have given 5 stars but they didn't ask how I wanted my cheeseburger sub cooked and did it well-done which I don't like.

Yeah it's been around as long as I can remember. I grew up in Clarence, NY., I remember it at the intersection. I especially like their curly cue French fries.

Called to order lunch, they answered the phone asked me if I could hold I said sure, well I held for over 20 minutes listened to them all talking they finally picked up the phone and hung up on me. I called back let them know and no apology

First time there. Subs were very good, they use Costanza's rolls, so that's a bonus right there. Decent amount of meat, fresh lettuce & tomatoes made my turkey club sub delicious.

Good sandwiches, hot and cold. I had the fish sub which was awesome, and sweet potato fries; crisp and delicious.

The cashier was professional. I ordered a coffee to go, it was from a Kuerig so it was hot and fresh.

I told them exactly how I wanted my sub, but they added cheese without asking me.

Nice people and food but they definitely gave my sub to the wrong person so I had to sit for a short 10 minutes while they quickly remade my sub.

Was my very favorite place to go for subs. However this past weekend... There's something different. Might have to try 1 more time to see ...

We have been coming to guys subs for 30 years, in the beginning, the subs were big,delicious, and fairly cheap. a few years later, the subs got smaller and more expensive. fast forward to now, yet again smaller subs, hardly any meat on a steak melt, and the prices are crazy. so many times they forget the sides of ranch, never a credit either ? I think the owner needs to spend more time in her store, because its not like it used to be.

Edible, but not flavorful. Meatballs sub had good texture, but wasn't seasoned at all. Tasted like someone forgot half the ingredients

I ordered a hot sub, that just meant the roll was toasted. The sausage meat and cheese were still cold that was with just walking from the shop to my car.

Ordered a chicken finger sub from here. It has been a letdown time and time again. When I opened the sub and began eating it, the chicken strips barely covered half of the sub roll. As far as LTO is concerned, it was very sparse with the exception of the lettuce to make it appear full.

So if you like a sub shop that doesn’t listen to a word you say, Puts all the things you told them not to on your subs and doesn’t give you Ranch for your Chef salad w/ Ranch. This is the place for you! And if your under the impression that a chef salad comes with meat you would be wrong here at Guys Subs. Side note: if you like onion get the chef salad they put a whole one in for ya!

I couldn’t even get a simple order of Chicken Fingers , as the pajama boy working the phones had no clue how to work the register. What a Joke !

Got a simple salami sub, it was terrible. A few thin slices of meat, wilted lettuce ,paper thin tomatoes and oil when mayo was requested. Unfortunately it was takeout and I didn't want to waste the gas to take it back...

Went to lunch there ordered a steak and cheese sub no lettuce no onions no tomato's just wanted steak and cheese my girlfriend ordered a half cheeseburger sub. Order comes steak and cheese with lettuce tomato and onions told the kid twice just steak and cheese my girlfriends sub raw in the middle onion rings over cooked. Never again didnt eat the sub left it on the table. Plus steak ums come on if i wanted steak ums would of made them at home total rip off

Waited 2 long for meal to go , 45 mins. Never got an apology that our food was just sitting there getting cold. They r usually better than this.

I got 2 1/2 subs yesterday I pd extra for green p got 3 little pieces of pepper . I got one slice of onion, very little lettuce 2 thin peices if steak. I got a Italian sausage lg. Sub got 2 small peices of sausage very little lettuce and pd. For hot pepper and got 3 peices of hot pepper on a lg sub. Very disappointed 33. For 2 1/2 subs. Ur gonna loose customers treating us that way. Crazy

Ordered a sub online and nowhere does it say that veggies are added automatically! So I ordered online and picked sub up and come to find out after leaving to go eat it has lettuce and tomato! When spoke to someone they said nothing they can do since automatically added! This is on them for not stating that! Refused to refund or remake sandwiche will NEVER step foot in here again!! Horrible place
