Ordered for pickup and it was ready right when I got there. Nice chewy bagel with a good seasoning blend. Tomato was a little underripe but otherwise the sandwich was fine.
I am addicted! I've been coming to Working Girls' Cafe for over 5 years now. Every time I come here I tell myself, "try something different", and believe me I try, but eight out of ten times I end up ordering the same thing; the California Cobb Bowl!! I can't help it! As I get closer to the Working Girls' Cafe my imagination starts going into hyper drive mode and I see myself digging into this flavorful bowl of goodness, my taste buds wake up, my heart starts beating faster and faster and by the time I am at the counter and my now good friends at the other side of the counter ask me if I want the "regular" I automatically respond affirmative!! The darn thing is a full meal! There is everything in it and they are all delicious! What is in it? Well it's got Chicken Breast, Avocado, Bacon, Gorgonzola Cheese, Hard boiled Egg, Cucumber, Tomato, and Red Onions and it is all served on a bed of Organic Kale and Organic Quinoa, with Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side. Aside from the California Cobb Bowl, the sandwiches here are to die for! Take the California Melt sandwich which I had last time I was there. It is delicious! A thick layer of smoked turkey, surrounded by fresh lettuce, tomato and onion on one side and bacon, melted Swiss cheese, and avocado on the other all between two layers of warm and toasted soft roll. The coffee is pretty good too! I usually leave holding cup containing a shot of espresso designed to keep me awake the rest of the afternoon!
First time so got the super basic turkey on french roll. Great classic sandwich, fresh bread, friendly staff!
My go-to lunch item is the Chipotle Chicken salad. Their portions are large and seasoned perfectly. The owner and staff are friendly. The space feels small because there are always so many people ordering food. There's also a nice sitting area right next door, outside. I need to try more of the options on the menu. Also, I just did a last minute large order of avocado toast for my team. Most places require a 24-48hr notice. Great for a small business!
Tried Working Girls Cafe for lunch and found that the California Melt sandwich (Turkey, bacon, avocado etc) was way better than the sandwiches from subway. Will eat here more often and advise coworkers to check it out too.
Nutritious and filling lunch option in the area! Would come back frequently.

Delicious bagels, sandwiches, & salads for reasonable prices. The service is consistent, personable, and above average. Diverse menu, hours, and great location.
Delicious lemon chicken sandwich and a lovely chat with the person working today. Just a really pleasant experience overall.
Lemon garlic chicken sandwich and chicken tortilla soup were amazing! As good as I’ve ever had!
I miss the ham and pesto bagel sandwich and the Cajun chicken sandwich sooo bad. I actually dream about it. Their salads are also some of the best! I don’t work in sf anymore but when I’m there during the day I have to stop here !
There's a few of them out there. It's nice. The employees are amazing and the sandwiches are fire. They make them quick too for catering so that isn't an issue. Boars head quality.
This place is great! Was just looking for a quick bite to eat earlier this week and found this gem! Really delicious sandwiches (especially the california melt) and my second time coming in the owner remembered me already which was cool lol. Highly recommend this spot and will be my go to stop when I'm in SF!
Working as a limousine driver it’s not easy to stop for lunch but I had a client that was stopping by this little cafe and got myself a coffee an a great tasty blt now I need to stop by more often… great food I love it
Really great food, plenty of both unique and common options. Very fast and friendly service. While working in downtown San Fran, I've eaten there the last two days. I went with protein salads both days and they're perfect. Definitely try it if you want a great lunch and don't have a lot of time.
I love this place in the middle of financial district! Everything is reasonably priced, especially their coffee. The owner is super nice so make sure to say hi if you stop by! They brew their coffee fresh after you order so you can watch them as they make you a fresh cup of morning joe! I do recommend the mocha latte if you have a sweet tooth as it is quite tasty. Aside from their sandwiches, there’s plenty of donuts, brownies, pastries and bagels for snack or quick breakfast.
Went to Working Girls Cafe on Friday for the 1st time. They took my order during this pandemic and my food was ready for me when I got there. The gentleman working was so friendly and it was nice chatting with him. I had the Cajun Chicken Protein Bowl and it was excellent. Full of nicely spiced chicken, corn, black beans, kale, quinoa and some perks for people like me like tortilla strips, shredded cheese and a little sour cream. I’m positive that they’d be happy to modify if you’d like. I definitely recommend giving them a visit!

Incredibly friendly service providing good food at a reasonable price. I’d love to see more places like this!
Nice menu, good food. We ate here three times during our SF trip. We are from the East Coast and sort-of expect breakfast places to be opened before 7AM so that was a little inconvenient at times but we liked the food enough to keep going back and making it work. The breakfast sandwiches are good, bread and bagels were fresh, but I felt it was a little pricey. Then again, it's located in a somewhat touristy area in an expensive city so I understand the pricing. The service was friendly and fast and there are a few tables towards the back to eat inside.
The sandwiches and salads here are great. It can get pretty packed and take a while around lunch time, but the wait is worth it. Reasonably priced to the other delis in the area and the owners are friendly. Just a word of caution however. My sandwich was $7.50 and they gave me a cash receipt for $7.50, but charged my card $8.99. They did the same to the person in line behind me. I will ask them about it the next time I go in and will check my previous statements for similar behavior. I just wanted to mention it because it seemed intentional. And I even threw a buck in the tips.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this was one of the worst coffee experiences I’ve had in San Francisco. First, the coffee. My partner literally winced at his first sip — it was that bitter and unpleasant. He even said something like, “Oh no, this is bad,” and he wasn’t exaggerating. And to top it off, he accidentally spilled some on me (ouch). Normally, good coffee can make up for clumsy moments. Unfortunately, this one wasn’t even worth the stain. The vibe was equally disappointing. Instead of the welcoming energy you’d hope for in a café, it felt rushed, careless, and uninspired. There are so many great spots in the city for coffee and a quick bite — this place just isn’t one of them. Bottom line: If you want burnt-tasting coffee and a forgettable experience, this might be your spot. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.
