I have been coming here since I was a kid, it is exactly the same as I remember 15+ years later. Great prices, lovely vibe inside and the staff are always so nice. Would definitely recommend stopping by and trying the “Hamelette” breakfast bagel!

Got an everything bagel with veggie shmear. The shmear actually had a ton of veggies in it unlike every other bagel place in alameda. The bagel was perfectly crisp on the outside and chewy in the inside.

I was walking to Starbucks which is right next door when I looked over and saw house of bagels. I paused for a moment, and then decided I’d much rather try something new as I was just in the area for an appointment. The service was so fast and my bagel was made so quickly that I stood there confused for a moment hahaha. Excellent efficient service and my bagel was delicious!

I just moved to Alameda in November and I've always walked by the bagel shop on the weekends. I finally went in and ordered the turkey avocado bagel and honest to God, it is the best bagel I've ever had! This morning around 8 am, there was even a line reaching the door, but the service was good and quick. They even have good coffee for 2 bucks! I'm hooked on this place already. Probably my go to breakfast and lunch spot for the weekends. Update: I always order the Lox Bagel now because they have the such good salmon!

Best bagel place in Alameda (which is not the highest bar :). Basic atmosphere, lot really pleasant for sitting inside.

I really like house of bagels, I used to go to the one in concord and would pay $10 for my order and my sandwiches never disappointed, but I started going to the park street location and I hate to say it but they don’t quite compare. This location is very stingy with their meat. For $13 I would expect a better made sandwich.

I stopped in the other day to get 2 bagels and a small tub of cream cheese. The price was $10, which I thought was high for baked goods. When I got home and tried to slice the bagels open, they were rock hard. Not sure if I was given old bagels. I toasted and tried the bagels. They were ok, but the dough was very dense and I did not care for them. The service was not friendly, just pop the bagels in and pushed my direction, no smile or thank you. I don't think I will go back to this store. Not welcoming.

I was excited to try the sun dried tomato cream cheese because I'm always on the hunt it but this place was a disappointment. Basically, it was regular cream cheese with some basil leaves and it barely has any sun dried tomatoes in it! I'm used to an orange-y spread but this was white. Definitely wouldn't recommend the spread!

I went here with my friend around 5PM so there was no rush, it was pretty dead. I got a Wheat Bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. I was excited to try the sun dried tomato cream cheese because I'm always on the hunt it but this place was a disappointment. 0 stars for this place. 💯 I came here today with my husband. I am pregnant and wanted quick simple egg and cheese bagel 🥯. Got there the lady had a bad attitude and didn’t greet us. I ordered a hot dog bagel as well and she heated it up at the microwave. The worst the bagel I ever had! The bagels were stale, hard to chew and low quality. The atmosphere in there was cheap, dirty, dry and sad. She hit me up with overpriced bagels. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone and this type of business shouldn’t be running period.

Honestly the worst service in town. Great location and quick but do not expect a smile or even the kindness that you deserve as a customer. How are they going to give my my toasted Bagel with cream cheese with the cream cheese all clumped together?? Then when I ask to spread it out as it should be they tell me to Grab a knife from next door Starbucks. Wow. Terrible. If it weren't the holidays I would not be so nice
