Stumbled on this place while we were walking through Russian Hill. So glad we decided to go in! Food was delicious, fast, and generous sized portions. We ordered hot & sour soup and chow fun. The people running the place were also so welcoming. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Chinese-American mainstay in Russian Hill serving wide array of wonton noodle soups, stir-fried noodle and rice dishes as well as classic a la carte entrees. Crispy salt and pepper shrimp, amazing. Family Dinner, generously portioned for just $15 a person. At the corner of Hyde Street cable car turnoff — a plus. A few pictures adorn the wall reminding of the long Chinese-American history of the neighborhood. A go-to when local and seeking the familiar.

The food was really good, but something deeply upset me. I saw an employee scoop up water from the floor and pour it into the pan. I can't stop wondering why someone would do that. It's truly disheartening.

I arrived 45 minutes before closing. They would not serve me in the restaurant. I was speaking with the lady at the front, trying to get an order in, and then she ignored me when a Chinese speaking customer came in wanting to order. Not a nice feeling. I walked out. What a disappointment.
