Great service, excellent happy hour! 1/2 price on pizzas Monday night.
I visited this location after an OCGO meeting and sat near the bar area. We were greeted by our server named Yousif, he was polite and very attentive. He made us aware of Wednesdays promotions, which included $5 beers and $11 burgers. The beers were cold, the service was fast and the quality of service was outstanding. I can’t wait to go back and try some different house beers!
I live less than half a mile from here and this is the first time I've came in 3 years. I came earlier but it was so busy that there was no seats available. I recently came again to check it out during the day when it's less busy. The food is really good albeit kind of expensive when it's not on happy hour. Overall I would recommend coming here but not during the weekends because it's too busy to get in or even find a seat. For anybody who has lived in Texas, this place has amazing queso that is worthy of the queso we have in Texas!
Ok yall! So my hubby and I stopped to have dinner after a crazy work weekend. When we arrived we were sat next to a speaker making our booth super loud my husband struggles with loud noises and our server Devin went above and beyond. He made sure the volume was turned down and checked in on us, was super friendly the entire time like on it friendly. He did an amazing job engaging with each of his tables with jokes making sure everything came out perfect you could tell he was catering his approach to each guest as you watched him walk around ensuring everyone got a server that was perfect to their evening! Yall need to give him a raise!!! The food was top notch too super flavorful and perfect in every way. I had the soup and wedge salad. The amount of dressing was perfect so it wasn’t drowning or too dry with just the right amount of toppings mixed in a perfect way. The clam chowder soup was to die for! Also I did not take pix because I was too busy inhaling their delicious food!!!
Kaitlyn was just a doll! Literally her personality and service was amazing.Very humble person thank you BJs for having a amazing waitress
I came in for a quick lunch before work. Being my first time here I had a hard time deciding what to eat. I went with the ribs. The ribs were so good, I wanted another rack. Service is very good. Joseph was my waiter. He was very attentive to all his tables. He helped me sign up for the rewards program, and he even gave me tea in a to go cup when I was finished.
Service was awesome! To-Go Host, Riley went above and beyond for me. I ordered a large specialty pizza, half & half, it was super delicious. I arrived minutes after they closed, however she was quick to re-open the door for me and blessed me with condiments.
This was my first time at this restaurant. I have never visited a BJ's before. Our server, Peter, which one is the best waiters I have ever had. He was very relax, informational, and just darn right we had people arriving at our table at several different times due to a graduation oh, and he completely went with the flow. He brought out orders as we wanted them, held up on orders that we weren't quite ready to give him and he never made a big deal out of it. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the baby back ribs with mashed potatoes and string beans and my plate was completely empty when I was done. I know, I should have taken a picture of my food. So, you have to trust me on this one. My beverage of choice was strawberry lemonade. It was one of the best mixes I have ever had. It was good to the last drop. We ended our meals with ice cream on big cookies. They were absolutely wonderful. Is this a good place to bring the kids? Yes it is! They do have a kids mealcand can provide you with finger food before everybody else's meal arrives. The atmosphere is very pleasant. If you're into sports, the back room is lined with different TVs and programs. The sound is not obnoxious and does not keep you from holding conversations with your other dining companions. If you enjoyed my review please LIKE below, and as always, have an amazing life!
Pre-homecoming dinner with a crew of hormonal teens? No problem! BJ's Tustin delivered. Our server, Cole, was a rockstar - attentive, detailed, and kept our drinks flowing like a fountain of youth. The grub? Top-notch: * Buffalo wings that made us wing-lovers * Clam chowder that warmed our souls * Flat pizza that even impressed this pizza snob But the real MVP? The patio seating! Who knew tranquility existed amidst homecoming chaos? Shoutout to Cole and the BJ's team for making our night unforgettable. We'll be back, and next time, patio seating is the plan!
All good except noisy. I like the shrimp and bread meal. And salad also good, ice cream cookies must try. But the fry full of oil which I don’t like. Dishware is not good quality, makes this dinner a little bit lower grade. Overall very good experience.
Shoutout to Mike at BJ’s—he was seriously the best! Super friendly, on top of everything, and just had such a great vibe. He made sure we had everything we needed without us even having to ask, and you could tell he genuinely cared about making our experience a good one. It’s not every day you get a server who makes you feel that taken care of. Thanks, Mike—you made our night!
Whatever you are paying Katie, it's not enough. She made the entire dining experience very enjoyable. We've had some pretty rough experiences at other BJs locations recently and we were upfront about it. Katie effortlessly went above and beyond to make sure we left with the intent on coming back. The food and drinks were also excellent. It was Friday night and the place was packed, but the speed and accuracy of our food made it feel like we were the only table needing attention. Thank you Katie and crew!
The food and atmosphere here is always amazing, but our server Bonnie was the icing on the pizookie! She made the entire experience fantastic for the whole family!
I’ve been visiting BJ’s for the past year, and I’ve never been disappointed. The service is consistently outstanding, and the staff, including servers like Phill, Amber, and Steph, are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere makes it feel like home. Additionally, there is a vast variety of food options to choose from. Highly recommended!
Amber was the best server I had! She was so kind and made my friends 24th birthday so special! Someone give that a girl a raise bc she was so awesome!
I had a fun experience at BJ's at the Market place in Irvine. Mothers Day with my kids and their father, we were seated right away no reservations needed. The service was acceptional . I received a cute 2018 Mothers Day glass 🍷👍 My meal was shrimp scampi and it was delicious. I didn't try to Pazucci that seems to be very popular, but overall good vibes, great crowd mixture, service was great and would recommend and return again.
We arrived and the wait time was an hour and 30 minutes. But bar is open seating and wwe were only three adults and we got so lucky we found a booth. Our server was helpful and on it. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The Tuesday special was wine and pizookie. Just wanted I needed! I always want a pizookie but at the end of my meal I'm too full. So this time we had appetizers to make sure we had space for it. It was also late. Anyway the cabs on special were good options I went with Josh Cellars and for the pizookie I wanted the Sunday they were out so then I went with the regular chocolate chip. So good. Also the slider though they had no cheese or anything other than the lettuce they were good. The size of the patty was proportionate to the bun. The meat was full of taste and the bun was warm and buttery. You would think "it's hard to get a slider wrong" but unfortunately I have had bad experiences before. These, I'm happy to say, were good. The fries here are also really good. We ordered the avocado rolls which are my favorite thing on the menu second to the pizookies. Parking was not an issue though pplacee was pretty full and had a long wait.
BJ's is one of those places you know will have good food and you will always find something that is appealing with their vast menu. My wife got the Mediterranean tacos which she had last time we were here and loved them. Of course pizza is always a go to and while they specialize in deep dish lately I've been getting their tavern cut Spicy pig. On this trip we also tried their new three dips & chips and it was yummy and will definitely get it again
BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, located in the beautiful community of Irvine,California, features an upbeat large "sports pub" ambiance. They have an eclectic menu of lite "finger food" appetizers, delicious main meals-featuring beef, pork, chicken, fish and vegetarian choices as well! They also have terrific desserts! What is very appealing about BJ's is the courteous and helpful staff that offers many suggestions and makes your experience a great one! The restaurant itself is large and spacious-yet cozy enough to "get lost" in you or your groups own comfortable space! They also feature a huge bar with loads of monitors, comfortable stools, lots of elbow room, beer taps with every flavor and mixed drinks to "wet your whistle"! We had a great experience at BJ's!
This is my first visit. Waitress is very polite and nice. Regrading to the entrée, we ordered the salmon and mushroom Swiss Burger. They are good. Soft and juicy. But I gonna say they're salty even to me. The dessert is the vanilla ice cream. It is silky and melt in my mouth. Overall, it is a good place.
We were looking for a place with options. I like salads, my sisters likes meet and my brother likes seafood. So we came here and enjoyed our lunch. We had the Mozzarella Sticks and BJ'S original wings. Great choice to start. As we wanted. We order the Ahi Salad, Jambalaya and the Tri-tip and chicken plates. We all loved our options. Service was awesome.
I came out to BJs with my husband for date night on Monday & we had an amazing experience. Luke was our server & he was top tier, every question I had he was able to answer & he recommended the best house beer for us. I would 100% go back & request Luke as my server
I been a couple times here and this one visit were Amber was our waiter, it was one of the best dinner experiences I ever had. She went beyond our expectations! Super attentive with our orders and always coming back to check if we needed anything else. I'll definetly come back 👍 Kudos for the staff for their friendliness and customer service excellence.
Amber was absolutely fantastic at BJ’s. From the moment we were seated, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and checked on us at just the right times without being intrusive. Our food and drinks came out perfectly, and her positive attitude really elevated the whole experience. Customer service like hers is rare these days—BJ’s is lucky to have Amber. We’ll definitely be back and hope to be served by her again!
The service and food quality has been consistently top tier every time I’ve come here. Always surprises me how quickly the food is served, regardless of how packed the restaurant gets. Came here last week with a friend and our server, Bonnie, was great. Definitely going to continue coming
This has to be one of the best sit in restaurant we’ve had in a while. Our server Grant was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best dinner experience. The booth we sat on was perfect because it covered the bar side and the environment wasn’t too loud. Definitely will be returning to this location. Hoping to be server like Grant in the near future.
Brought the family for the first time and they loooooooved it! Apps were served promptly, entrees were very satisfying, and of course had to end with pazookies! You have to try the monkey bread, 10/10!! Very amazing service by Brady! Thank you for making our experience a memorable one. Will be coming back soon!
Revisit. This place is awesome. The wifi is so useful. Also if you get a chance to ask for a server ask for anybody, make sure you ask for Amber. She will treat you right and you'll have the best time. ---- As always, it is a solid choice for casual dinner with friends. Today, we went for the BBQ ribs, chicken club sandwich, classic cheeseburger, strawberry salad, and a couple of flatbread pizzas. All of it was great. Happy hour prices and offerings are great too, we got the avocado rolls, our favorite, the potsickers were amazing, and the mozzarella sticks became the kids' favorite. 7 dollar beers! 6 dollar margaritas!? Say less.
Hi everyone — I visited this place couple of times and in fact, it’s one of our favorite place. Reason behind; (1) outstanding services (2) highly trained and well behaved server, they will make a home like and comfortable env. quickly (3) food is outstanding too (4) drinks 🍹 also superb! We ordered below items and indicated “must try” item as well. Boneless wings Side fries New Orleans Jambalaya + — Must try Chicken Alfredo Chicken Pot Stickers Deserts — Chocolate Chunk Pizookie — Must try Drinks — Spicy Mango Margaritas — Must try Overall — ambience also out of the box and you will enjoy with family and friends. Must Go 👍
I have to admit, I'm usually not a fan of big chains like BJ’s due to long wait times, but I've recently decided to visit during off-peak hours to get a better feel for the food and service. To my surprise, I walked in and was seated right away, enjoying a quieter atmosphere away from the crowds. Our server, Ali, greeted us warmly and provided outstanding service throughout our meal. I came specifically for the weekly $13 meal plus Pizookie deal, and I had to give it a try! I ordered the BJ’s Favorite Pizza, which is a delicious supreme pizza, along with a salad that came with ranch dressing on the side and although my salad did come dressed, I appreciated that it wasn’t overly drenched on the salad, and everything was served cold and fresh, which made it even better. My partner chose the in-house beer deal—a refreshing Hef for just $5—and went with the burger. Both the food and service exceeded my expectations! A big shoutout to Ali for making our experience enjoyable. If you're considering BJ’s, definitely check out the current deals—take a look at the photos I’ve attached. It’s a great value, especially if you visit often!
Great experience today! A small mistake was made and the Manager fixed it all up. I got a free pizza to go. This is great customer service on their end. My waitress Quyanna was amazing! She was super quick and super nice! I highly recommend coming on Mondays for Half off on a Large pizza. And get the pizookie meal!! Its only 13 dlls and it comes with a whole meal and a dessert!
Sunday night dinner... There was the expected wait for a dining room table, but we decided beforehand to eat at the bar. As usual, in almost all establishments, you can walk right in and sit down at the bar in spite of the wait. It took a little while for Amber to acknowledge us, but found out that she was training a "new guy" and that always screws up the timing. Once greeted, she was pleasant, friendly, helpful, and efficient. Ordered a couple of Blondes 🍺 for my sister and myself. Also ordered Avocado 🥑 EggRolls and mac-n-cheese balls to start. Good stuff!!! I had the seared ahi salad and sis had the mini BJ pizza. Both tasty and large enough for both of us to take the remainder of each dish home with us. We ultimately had a pleasant dining experience. Pricing was reasonable. Worth your time
Good size menu. Staff friendly. Wide selection of beer. They have a rewards program it is worth signing up for but not great. Typically there is a wait on the weekend but you can call ahead to put your name in. Salads and some other dishes are big enough to share or take some home. Always love the pazookie
The pink Cadillac martini and lemon drop martini and glazed salmon were delicious. The customer service given to us by our server was fantastic. But the sirloin shrimp scampi was too salty. However I do recommend this restaurant because there are a variety of dishes for all sorts of preferences for adults and kids. The prices are reasonable and parking is easily available. Bathrooms are clean. Service is good.
Good place with lots of food variety--fulfilled my pizza cravings! ... but service was sub-par. We only had pizza for 10 minutes before our waitress asked if we wanted dessert before handing us a check and to-go box. Smh let me enjoy my pizza that doesn't involving voring the entire damn thing + pizza - Time it took to get pizza - only having 10 minutes to eat pizza
The Food is Awesome! The Staff is Great and Kind at Work. The Customer Service was good. Overall, Awesome 4/5.
BJ is chain restaurant which is famous for handcraft beers from light to dark. If you want to find best one, you can try to order sampler to drink several kinds of beers at the same time. At this time of night, we tried to drink Hefeweizen, Jeremiah Red and Light Lager. For appetizers, we ordered Avocado Egg Rolls, Thai Shrip Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Calamari,Nachos,Chicken Wings , Pizza etc. Most of them are delicious and good match with beers. There are indoor and outdoor place to drink, so it is spacious for a lot of people. It is good place to watch sports and drink handcraft beers together.
I went to BJ's with family the other day and it was a good experience overall. I ordered steak and it came a little overcooked, but the pizookies made up for it as it was one of the best deserts I have eaten. The service was exceptional, but it was a little loud so talking wasn't easy.
Update: The price of the prime meal has gone up, but still good. Old: Great prime rib full meal dinner deal. The meat was good but the soup, salad, baked potato and desert (white chocolate with macadamia nut and vanilla ice cream) was great. It was large enough to split for two people for $35 with tax. The service was great and the atmosphere was a fun night out. Sports TVs were all over.
Good food in good setting. The bathroom is clean. Ample parking. The servers are friendly. Came for lunch with friends. $11 for lunch. I had the cheeseburger with substitute asparagus. The asparagus is thin. It taste fine. The burger is thick and cooked to my preference. Medium well. The hamburger is cooked with a crust. I tasted my kids’ fries. They are delicious. They are double fried. The mash potato is also fine. I also tasted the kids’ pasta, which is fine. Overall, the environment is good. The food is decent. If you are into business lunches, this is a good place to dine with your clients/ colleagues.
It’s been a long time since dining here. The memory of the avocado egg rolls brought me back, and did not disappoint. I had a nice beverage with my crispy chicken sandwich. Everything was good. The only part that needs work on is the coleslaw. It had no flavor; none. The service was very good. Thank you Caitlyn. I had a very enjoyable lunch.
Awesome wholesome place to grab food and some in house brew with friends and family. We have been going to the BJs in laguna for a number of years and it was always for pizza and bear but we have now been coming to this location in tustin/Irvine area for a couple of time. The menu has been expanded to include bbq, sandwiches, burgers and pasta. But what really brings us back is the service and without a doubt Michael aka Sloan is the best wait staff that we have had in many many years. Amazing service. We had a couple of pizzas and my son and I split the ribs and tritip combo. Both great.
Overall, it was good. We came in around 10:45 pm, a party of four. The restaurant was pretty full, still no wait time to be seated. The hostess and our waitress Caitlin were very kind, friendly, and professional. Excellent sense of humor lol. We all had the Veteran’s Day specials! Waitress was also very attentive, more water, more soda, more dipping sauce, she was on it! Very good service! Food was good. No disappointments there. We were served rather fast, even though the restaurant seemed a bit busy. Same as the bar area. Our pizookie was a bit flat lol. It tastes good, it just seemed like it wasn’t picked up on time! The whipped cream or whatever was on top was mostly melted by the time it got to our table, but like I said, taste was still all there!
Suggested by my friend, we couldn't go while in Dan Diego last week, so decided to go this one at Jamboree. Nice ambience and great vibe be it you are coming with friends or family. The staff who attended us was great, shame I forgot her name. We ordered Calamari, Jambalaya, BBQ chicken pizza mini. My kid got a free starter, nice gesture appreciate it. Food was tasty, great presentation almost how you see it in menu pic except that ice cream started melting when we got, it's ok. Pricing is around 15~25$ average per dish and they have dining indoor and open outdoor with heating. We enjoyed. Only one suggestion: It was my birthday day when I visited, I didn't get my free pizookie !! Though I mentioned it's my bday while table reservation, would have been better if someone told us not everyone remembers what offers you have, I realized only after reading email when back home.
Hey all! I decided to give this a four star as the food is the most important part. I got a prime rib combo which I thought would be a great choice. But they seemed to have the wrong idea of what "rare" is. They served me a medium. I had to return it to the kitchen. But their pizza is amazing and I am waiting for dessert. Service is great and I look forward to coming soon.
I came across an ad for BJ’s $13 Pizookie Meal Deal, which includes an entrée (choice of 8 options) and a personal Pizookie for just $13. I hadn’t been to BJ’s in over a decade, but this promotion caught my attention. I also noticed they had a solid happy hour, so we decided to check it out around 5pm on a Friday. To my surprise, BJ’s was packed! The wait for a table was 20–30 minutes, so we opted to grab seats at the bar to take advantage of the happy hour deals. The bar area was a bit cramped, as expected, but the service was excellent. We ordered the Great White deep-dish pizza with a strawberry shortcake Pizookie, a cheeseburger with a cookies and cream Pizookie, avocado egg rolls, and three beers. The entrées were decent, and while the Pizookies were a touch too sweet for my liking, the portion size was perfect. The beers, priced at just $5 per pint during happy hour, were an absolute steal! Overall, it was a worthwhile visit, especially for the happy hour and the Pizookie deal.
I didn't even know this place was here, but I must have been the only one. It was very busy and I can see why. They had great lunch specials and the food came quickly. Also, kids eat free Monday through Thursday! The food was good for lunch and my son enjoyed the marshmallow graham cracker pizookie. Service was exceptional and it was nice and cool inside while it was super hot outside.
Came here eat in and take out many times. It is a good restaurant with standard American food. People are nice and helpful. I think the traditional American food like burger and fries are pretty good. I am sure there are many good dishes but the Cajun dish is kinda disappointing. We ordered this last time to try it out, it was way too salty and doesn't seems like or taste like Cajun food. You would know what I mean if you have tried the authentic Cajun food. But overall it is a good restaurant with nice environment.
Burger undercooked, fries cold, no sauces on the side and a margarita so strong it was like tequila on the rocks… we told our server he did nothing, and 10 minutes later had to flag down manager and explain what was wrong. We then asked for check before our to-go dessert and still had to wait 10 minutes on a check, after a 3rd reprint and nothing taken off our bill!!!! Will be reaching out to corporate. They should be ashamed to be a part of the BJs family that usually has such high standards!!! This location is a Joke, don’t blow your money here, try Lazy Dog next door. Better service and quality food!
Food was ok. Had the California club and the chicken was giants chunks of meat. In the picture it looks like sliced meat. Had the potstickers they were great. Had the cookies and cream pizzookie and loved it. Wife had the prime rib wedge salad but the meat was over cooked and very dry. Service needs to be better. Took forever for a to-go cup.
We came here on a super busy evening for dinner. We sat in the group room where acoustics where unfriendly and it was very loud. Service and food was ok, nothing special. Our waitress did not come back to check on us until the end so we ended up asking another server for additional items. Food was average but nothing I’d say you have to try.
The appetizer was good, but the main dishes were served cold. While we were still eating, the waitress asked if we wanted a box, which felt rushed.
We frequent this location at least once a month if not more. There are usually no issues with our dining experience but this time it was different. First, I will start with this place is in a crazy busy shopping plaza, not easy to get in or out of, nor find parking. When we arrived, I went to use the restroom, after I was done in the handicap stall, I leaned over and noticed the entire bottom of the toilet bowl was filthy dirty and black. Unsure if it was dirt, oil, grease, but gross regardless. Lets start with our food. We ordered a kids meal with a side of broccoli, a spinach artichoke dip, and wings. The broccoli, dip and wings all came out disgustingly cold. Completely inedible so we sent it back. In return, we got food, so hot, it was scorched. The broccoli was now wilted, the wings were over fried and dark while the dip was crunchy, dark and burned. Let us not forget the chips because those arrived burned as well. No food item was going to be spared during this visit to BJ’s. Seems the kitchen was a little bitter the food was sent back. Based on what I saw in the bathroom, if they dont care about the appearance of their toilets, they clearly dont care about the appearance nor taste of their food. Service: the waitress was very kind, sweet and understanding. She worked with us the best she could. The manager came by, he was very attentive, kind and understanding as well. Thus the 5 star rating for service. Not sure if the kitchen staff are new because this is a first for us, but definitely left unsure if we will return.
The food here is great, don't get me wrong, however, I was out with a group of friends and the stereotype of "teenagers don't tip" really hit us. I am not going to name the host out of respect, but this experience was horrible. As me and my friend were waiting for the rest of our party to show up, he checked in on as as we got seated, and proceeded to take 30min in order to ask us if we were ready to order. What was even worse is that when he handed us our food and drinks, he just laid them on the table, not even making any eye contact or talking to us. This is just for us as the table behind us was receiving great service. Finally, when we finished eating, he dropped the check on the table and left without saying a word. This was a horrible experience and we will not be eating here again.
Had the worst customer service just getting seated. We requested not to sit at a table on the corner by the service station, and the door. We were told we'd have to wait 15 minutes for one of the empty booths or tables. Made no sense. Restaurant was not busy, many empty tables. Manager sat us in a different table. I witnessed them trying to seat another party at the same table and giving them a hard time as well. They ultimately allowed the other party to have a different table as well. I have never had such a problem with other BJs locations or any other restaurant.. I guess the Tustin BJs has some odd policy not to accommodate customers, and may not care about the loss of business. Ultimately the food was good as was the wait staff.
Apparently the food quality has gone down hill here. Shrimp tasted like it was previously frozen and was not seasoned well— guac did not look fresh. Overall 6/10 bowl. My sister’s steak was absolutely awful (overcooked and not seasoned well), and her broccoli undercooked. Felt like I was eating at Sizzler. Our server was overworked and forgot a few things, but was professional and courteous at least. BJs has always been a high quality, reliable experience for me. Sign of the times I guess!
Sat immediately, waitress was timely. Restaurant was clean and the vibe advertised beers and other locations. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs with a side Caesar. The entree was flavorless and removed from bill. The garlic bread had zero garlic flavor and was actually a roll. It was all exceptionally generic and won’t happen again.
Great atmosphere. The food is mediocre compared to its rivals of Lazy Dog, Cheesecake, etc. The service is horrible. Worst waiters ever all 3 times I went.
People were smoking right outside the main entrance. I understand this isn’t directly related to the restaurant, but it’s still disappointing — especially considering this is Irvine, where public smoking isn’t typically allowed. As for the restaurant itself, the food quality was quite poor at first, both the taste and presentation were unsatisfying (looked like left over food.) However, the server was very professional and handled the situation well. When we brought up our concerns, they replaced our dishes promptly, and the second round met the expected quality. That said, the overall experience was disappointing, and unfortunately, we’ll likely not return to this location.
It's honestly hard to find words to describe how abismal the service was. I literally have never ever in my life witnessed such thing. Our server Bonnie.M was rude, dismissive and didn't smile once during the entire time she interacted with us. She almost seemed to be pissed for serving us and as if she was doing us a favor. She threw the coasters on the table and did the same thing when we asked for straws. It was outrageous!! And don't get me even started on the food runner who was constantly rolling her eyes every time she dropped a plate on our table and at one moment said "salmon with rice and whatever" WE WERE SHOCKED! who talks like that to a guest! I can understand that the staff isn't happy for whatever reason but it's unacceptable to behave like that with guests. It's just shameful. I honestly can't conceive why would anyone in their full mental capacities go back to BJ'S after such service, such quality and such prices! I could literally go anywhere (including fast food) and have better treatment and a smaller bill. This place is a total joke! it's surreal they even have a wait list! Like how??????? They are lucky we were in a family dinner with some friends and we didn't want to make a fuss and ruin the night but if it wasn't the case, I would have gotten up and left after at least saying a couple of things to the manager.
Worst ever experience never go back again we decide to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We wait for 10 minutes for the waitress never show until we ask for help then we place our order. I ordered prime rib and ask medium rare with asparagus and mashed potatoes when finally got my order totally wrong their cooks I don't think they understand the concept medium rare plus they gave me broccoli 🙃 which I don't mind but if I place my order I'm should get what I ordered. My sister order the pork chop meal which also come up totally wrong. These meals are not cheap they're over $35 dls. But what make me more upset 😡 was customer service they're not nice and polite my waitress was rude and one of the guys in front desk was very rude and racist. This is not my first time going there but, never comes back again was very wrong decision to spend my daughter's birthday my bill come up to $315 dls and it hurts to pay not because I don't have the money but because of the poor service we got. '
We made reservations and went here to celebrate two family members birthdays at the same time. The group included 8 people and they sat us in a corner booth. The dinner started of good with great service from Tom. The drinks and appetizers gave in an acceptable time, as did the dinner, but this is where things went wrong. One person ordered the salmon and another a burger. The salmon was super over cooked and burn on the side they turn down so you could not see it. We sent it back and asked for a new one. The manager came over before the second try on the salmon came to apologize, so we thought he would make sure the second attempt was okay, but that was not the case. They again burnt it and again tried to hide it by putting the burn side down so you could not see it. The person had to change the order to a Seared Ahi Salad so they could not over cook it also. This Seared Ahi Salad came out okay. Now for the burger, it was so over cooked, it was black on both sides. There is no way the cook, or the person the put the condiments on it, could not have seen how badly it was over cooked. Again, it was BLACK on both sides! It was so bad, the person that ordered this just sent it back and did not want anything else to eat. All the other people said their food was over cooked, but not so bad as to return it. For example, I got fish and chips, which was over cooked, over battered, very small piece of fish inside the batter and oily. But this is not all, the waiter took a break between the first salmon and the second one coming, and never returned. He handed us off to another waiter to deal with and after over 45 minutes never returned to our table. Not only did the waiter not return, the Manager also was nowhere to be seen again. We felt they gave up on us rather than try to make everything right. To be fair, they did take the hamburger, the two Salmons and the replacement Seared Ahi Salad off the bill; they also gave the table free deserts. It was the waiter that told us about these changes, not the manager.
I recently ate at here and the food was so mid and I ordered one of the Halloween drinks ( the duck bathtub drink). I got sick a couple of hours from eating here. I don’t recommend this place. The drink had too much red food coloring and had no flavor and same goes with their food. I ended up throwing everything up. I won’t be going here ever again!
I order online for curbside pickup. I went to pickup and checked in for curbside pickup and I waited and waited. After 10mins passed I decide to go inside to find out what’s going on. I spoke to the ladies in the front for pick up order and they didn’t even know that I checkin and my food was sitting right in front of them. So I asked them what happened and why was order on their counter when it should have been brought to my car for curbside pickup. They said that sometimes they don’t hear the alert. I told them that then they should offer curbside pickup if they aren’t going to pay attention! I’m worst experience! Stop offering curbside if you are not going to bring my food to me! On top of that, they skimped on ice cream for the pizzokie and the food was cold
We came here with friends to watch the Chargers play. Our waiter was very nice (thank you, Marshall ). We ordered lemon pepper wings as an appetizer, and they were hot and delicious. We switched booths as a larger one opened up, and our server was able to follow us. Soon after, the waiter accidentally knocked over a beer, the glass broke, my jeans were soaked, and it was quite a kerfuffle. But they were appropriately apologetic and quickly cleaned things up. It got worse, though. Our meals took at least 30 minutes, and were cold. They made them again, it took forever and they were cold again! There were multiple times throughout the evening where dishes came crashing to the floor. It was crazy busy and chaotic. They were desperately understaffed. The manager came over and was fake-nice. She offered to bring more drinks and food. We placed our orders and literally never saw her again. We used to love this restaurant. But that was before covid. So many restaurants just have not recovered their culture, level of food, and quality of service since then. That certainly goes for BJ's. They gave us 2 free desserts and didn't charge for the cold meals we returned. We don't blame the server at all. The management is nonexistent.
Don't come here for any special occasion. It was hot in there. No air conditioning. The steak I got here was dry as a napkin. Worst service I've ever had. Waitress Allie was not good with the service she provided. Plus, 2 of my family members got food poisoning. Go somewhere else. Don't waste your time and money here. Chef Mike works here the hardest. Very impatient waitress that tried upselling us alcohol and then got visibly upset when we said no and gave attitude the rest of the night. Amber is possibly the worst waitress I’ve ever had. Avoid this location at all costs if she’s working there. She can’t afford to have that attitude. Do better?
Very disappointed with our experience at this BJ’s. We had a reservation, arrived on time, and checked in with the host. We were told it would be “just a few minutes,” so we waited… and waited. After more than an hour of sitting there, we finally asked what was going on, only to be told they didn’t have a table to accommodate a large party. No one ever informed us, no one apologized until we pushed for an explanation, and there was zero effort to make it right. Plans for the night were basically ruined because of the lack of communication and organization. Having a reservation should mean something – at the very least, we should not be left waiting for over an hour. We won’t be coming back.
Our waiter was awesome, never had issues with any waiters. They are always good. My biggest issue is the inconsistencies of BJ's. My favorite beer is a fresh keg of hefeweizen, however 4 out of 10 times that I visit it doesn't taste good, I don't know what it is but even the servers and other customers have joined my conversation in pointing this out. I've honestly never had an issue with the food either up until today. I asked for a median rare classic ribeye steak and I got an overcooked steak that ended up being cold. I don't like to be those people that complain so I decided to just eat it, thankfully my gf ate the other half. Also my steamed veggies were undercooked and mashed potatoes weren't so great. I feel like the quality is slowly dieing.
I’ve had two disappointing experiences at this BJ’s with the same hostess. The first time, she gave me the wrong to-go box twice and rolled her eyes when I asked for a bag. I gave the restaurant another chance, but during my next visit, my friends and I waited over 30 minutes past our reservation, and she responded with the same attitude when I asked for an update. This level of unprofessionalism is disappointing, especially from the hostess, who is the first person customers interact with. It leaves a poor first impression and isn’t what I expect from BJ’s.
We made a reservation for 12 people and arrived exactly on time. We were seated and waited at our table for 40 minutes. The only thing brought to us was water — not a single staff member came to ask if we were ready to order. When we finally decided to leave the restaurant altogether, no one seemed to care at all. There was not even a simple apology for wasting our time. I am truly disappointed and regret choosing this restaurant to spend time with my friends.
We were really disappointed by our recent visit to BJ’s. My daughter wanted the Broccoli Cheddar Soup but was told it’s made with chicken broth. She ended up ordering the appetizer avocado egg rolls which was not good enough. She ate one out of 5 pieces and discarded the rest. There were no vegetarian pasta options at all, and even the mozzarella cheese sticks weren’t confirmed to be egg-free — the waiter wasn’t sure and was not too motivated to check. When I spoke with the manager, all he could say was that the menu is set by corporate and he had no control over it. He said he’d “pass on” my comments, but it didn’t feel reassuring. For a large restaurant chain, it’s surprising that BJ’s offers so few vegetarian options and that even the staff seem unclear about what’s truly vegetarian. It was a disappointing experience overall, and I hope BJ’s corporate takes feedback like this seriously.
This was, without exaggeration, the worst dining experience I have ever had. I placed a dine-in order via the app to be added to the waitlist in advance and to streamline the service. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, and our food was brought out in a reasonable time. Initially, everything seemed fine. However, the server never once checked on us after delivering the food and did not offer water refills or any other service. We ordered the Pazookie meal, so we expected the dessert to be prepared and delivered automatically, as it was included in our order. After waiting for 40 minutes with no sign of our server, we finally managed to flag him down. When I asked about the dessert, he informed us that he wasn’t actually our server and only handled food running. This was extremely confusing, as he had been the only staff member to interact with us that evening—he seated us, took care of menus, utensils, and brought our initial waters. If he wasn’t our server, it was unclear who was. He said he would check on the status of our dessert, but after that, we received no further communication. It became apparent that he was actively avoiding our table. After another 30 minutes of waiting, we decided to leave. We attempted to speak with the manager, but they were already dealing with another group who appeared to be having similar issues. We noticed that many employees did not appear motivated or engaged. At one point, five staff members stood near the host stand without acknowledging us, and it took considerable time before anyone offered assistance. In the takeout area, one employee was on their phone, while another was resting her head on the counter. Overall, the service was unprofessional and unacceptable. It’s clear that there are serious issues with staff training and management at this location. I hope this feedback leads to improvements for future guests.
Can someone please tell me that this is what a carmel pizzookie is supposed to look like? Completely burnt to a crisp and raw on the inside? IT LITERALLY SMELLED LIKE A PRETZEL. After 3 attempts the manager gave us a new one that LOOK EXACTLY LIKE IT. And asked us if it was better? DO NOT ORDER PIZZOKIES HERE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO COOK THEM.
To be fair, the service was good, the wait was short (Monday night), and I suppose there are other good options on the menu that I haven't tried. But here comes my negative review. When I first moved out west, I loved this place. Now I'm not sure why people still go here. They changed the menu at some point over the last two years and for the worse. They got rid of the one reason I would go here. The tri-tip barbecue entree. And now it seems they reduced the menu offerings by repurposing some items with other dishes to make it seem like a lot of choices, like there used to be. Now the ubiquitous steak with most dishes is some poor quality sirloin. Maybe the ribeye is good, but haven't tried and won't because not going back. Never seen "white" steak before. Maybe it was cooked beyond recognition.Thought it was pork at first inspection. Either way it was tough and and flavorless besides the salt, pepper, and "chimichurri" on top. Basically some rough chopped parsley with vinegar. Not much to choose from in Irvine, and BJs was on the exceptions list as a good place to eat. Now it's just the same as the other mediocre chains. For me at least.
