I always get the vegetable tempura it comes with rice and we also get the California sushi rolls it’s always fresh and delicious best sushi and Japanese food I think it’s family run everyone there is very nice high quality ingredients and food you won’t be disappointed

Yo Sushi? ..is a very unique place, small in size but large in taste, has a good dynamic menu with lost to choose from, I will highly recommend the udon soup, it is hearty with lots of good things extremely hot but very good. Cold in flu season is upon us and what better remedy for a cold or flu then soup.

I liked it. Clean eating area kitchen. Food is fresh & tasty. I plan to try everything on the menu. Priced reasonably.

It’s a humble looking place but the food is great. We ordered Yo! Nacho (top right), bush roll (mid left), lion king (mid right), bonito dragon and chicken teriyaki roll (on the bottom). I loved Bush roll and Lion King roll. They were absolutely delicious. Also, the prices of food item were very reasonable. I will love to go there again.

Food is OK and relatively affordable. They give you a buzzer to tell you whether your food is ready. Not much of an atmosphere/ambience, there is just kpop music video playing in the background on loop. I feel like it would be quite successful if it was close to campus because it has a college student vibe. Overall it's an alright place to grab lunch/dinner.

Great spot if you are craving Japanese but want quick and cheap. I like it for takeout due to consistency and good service. Overall sushi is pretty good considering the ease and cost. Nothing fancy but it totally hits the spot if you are in need of a fix.

The Island was good.Couldnt eat in doors so we were bummed.

A little change here and there and it is a whole new roll. They have a vast variety of sushi, all nicely rolled...for example small maki rolls like Tekka roll don't pop open the moment you touch it with a chopstick. Average wait even when busy is about 20minutes, which is pretty good. I do not reccomend using food delivery food service as you can save $$$ by ordering directly with the restaurant. There is off street parking, indoor and outdoor parking.

Good food and friendly service. They are great at helping us navigate the menu and finding vegetarian options. We were disappointed they did not check on the vaccine status of guests, which is the current mandate.

Affordable, convenient, good. Not gourmet but if you need a quick sushi fix without over paying it's a good choice. Also, not the chain "yo sushi" joint you see when you Google the name... Different menu different everything.

Always enjoy coming here. Fair prices with traditional and unusual dishes. Counter ordering, playful decor and constant pop music videos playing on the tvs. A little bright for me but that's a personal preference.

I used to frequent the Fairfield location growing up so was excited when I figured out they're now expanded to Albany! Went during lunch and had the special - chicken teriyaki bento with California roll. Boyf had beef teriyaki bowl. I have to say mine was better but the beef was really tender today! I enjoyed that it was nice and quiet for Wed. Tables are always clean and we were served quickly. Consistent service and quality for this location.

Very fast service. The food was tasty, but nothing special. Kind of a fast-food version of Japanese food, but with regular restaurant pricing. I would go again for a quick bite, but not for a social dinner with friends.

For my first experience here I think the cashier could have been more helpful in me deciding what to try their for the first time ...other than that the food was okay but I saw the pictures later as I was waiting on the wall of the things that I was asking for and she told me that they didn't make that !!! That's why I'm giving this a 3-star

The Beef Teriyaki is so bland I noticed the plain flavor of the beef right away, almost like the "teriyaki" part was an afterthought (I don't think it was marinated at all). The beef used is very thin, firm, and tastes like cheap stir-fry beef. The Baked Mussels were decent at least.

I don't know what you all are eating, but this is not good or fresh. Overpriced for mediocre sushi. First off, the miso was just hot water on miso paste. They didnt make actual broth. The chicken teriyaki was old and chewy. The California roll was soggy and tasted off. The other two rolls were smaller than normal, and was in no way fresh. Despite not ordering a roll with tuna, there was one that had a very tuna flavor. It had the texture and taste of tuna from a can. The avocado was old and brown. They added a spicy sauce to an item that didnt specify it would be spicy. The rice isnt authentic sushi rice. Sushi rice has a sweet flavor and this rice was blaaaand. When you have to resort to soy sauce and other condiments to eat the sushi, then that means the sushi is a failure. You can add sauces to your liking, but sushi should be fresh and tasty enough to eat BY IT SELF. I walked out extremely disappointed and queasy. Waste of $50. Go to Manpuku in Elmwood.

This sushi was probably the worst I've ever had. The fish was 100% NOT FRESH. Very fishy. And lukewarm, like they just pulled it out of the bottom drawer. The rice wasn't good either, which is a hard thing to mess up. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. You're honestly better off going to a grocery store.

At one time I enjoyed eating at Yo Sushi, however the last time my son and I went there The calamari was over fried, chewy and had to be thrown out. The California roll looked very pretty but the cream cheese was so over powering you could not taste anything else, it too had to be thrown away.

It appeared they forgot about our sushi rolls and it wasn't until my boyfriend asking them two times about the status on our order that our food finally arrived staggered out. Nobody apologized for the delay. To add insult to injury, we noticed the prices charged on the receipt were more than what was posted on their wall menu. When we pointed this out to the manager and asked for a price adjustment, he said the prices increased, didn't care that the wall menu didn't reflect the changes, and denied our request for a partial refund. Now we have to contact the credit card company to dispute the charges. In other dining establishments the workers would do one or all of the following: - Warn us if the wait time would be a lot longer than usual so expectations would be adjusted. - Offer to bring us edamame, miso soup, or some other low-cost item on the menu free of charge while we wait for our food. -Be transparent about any increase in prices, especially if it's not clearly posted for the customers. -Offer a discount or a gift card to use for the next time we dine there as a gesture of goodwill. Since nobody bothered to do any of the above actions, they clearly don't value their customers so we won't be returning.
