Avaliações de Gelso & Grand Albee Square
The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance that makes the whole experience very pleasant and relaxing. The service was excellent — very friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely recommend this place.
My two friends and I had the most lovely time enjoying brunch at Gelso & Grand. As a regular at this restaurant for dinner, I decided to give brunch a try, and I was not disappointed. The peachy froze to start was the perfect fruity way to start a meal. I ordered the crab cakes, as did one of my friends, and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of a classic brunch food at a pizza and pasta restaurant. I am not too surprised, as everything they do at Gelso and Grand, they do well. The cakes had so much crab meat in them and also some very finely chopped veggies for color, taste, and texture. They were lightly fried, so that the delicate flavor really came from the crab, and had the perfect crunch. The dish also came with a good sized side of potatoes. I sampled a piece of my other friend’s special San Gennero’s blue cheese and artichoke pizza, and loved the slight sweetness of the artichoke balanced by the pungent blue cheese, and as always, I thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly doughy crust. Overall, we had a fantastic brunch experience, and are looking forward to visiting Gelso & Grand for brunch again soon!
Still love this place. This was a spot I remember from my first trip to NYC back in 2023. Javier was my waiter and he was excellent. The food was also excellent. I had the chicken parm and a side of spaghetti.
This spot is a total gem in Little Italy! Giving it a solid 5 stars. The decor is beautiful—classic and rustic but still feels high-quality. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the area, which is always a plus. The vibe is just right: good music at a perfect volume and the place is warm enough that you can actually enjoy your meal without being bundled up in a coat. Bonus: there’s a photo booth downstairs by the bathrooms, which is such a fun touch for capturing a great dinner with friends, family, or your date. The cocktails? Chef’s kiss. Super creative and so good you’ll definitely want to go for round two. Shoutout to my server, Jessica, who was incredibly attentive and friendly—she really added to the experience. This place is a must if you’re looking for a lovely dining experience in NYC. Whether you’re with family, catching up with friends, or on a date, it’s a win. I’ll definitely be back!
Really good. Nice interior. Decent to maybe strong 8/10 Braised lamb pasta. Had to stir it before I realize how good it was. Light 8/10, maybe 7 pesto pasta but I wonder if I’d like as much a next time Decent to Strong 7 campanelle ala vodka. 7/10 lamb arancini 5/10 bruschetta.
We have been to Gelso and grand more times than we can count. We continue coming back fist and foremost Because the food is amazing, we’ve tried almost everything. The ambiance is already great, especially the music and lighting. The staff is so friendly, we love when javier is our server, he’s amazing.honestly, a no brainer for dinner
We came for the first time as a friends recommendation. We had such a good time, everyone from the hostess to the server (Celis ) were awesome. They provided us with recommendations for drinks and food. Even tho it was cold and we wanted to switch tables, they were able to accommodate even tho it was busy. The music is great and everyone is so friendly. Will definitely come back. Such nice vibes!
Nestled at the iconic corner of Mulberry and Grand in NYC’s Little Italy, Gelso & Grand offers a vibrant blend of modern Italian fare and classic New York charm. From the moment you step in, the ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale and casual, with warm lighting, rustic decor, and a lively indoor-outdoor seating arrangement that invites both intimate dinners and group gatherings. The menu is a celebration of house-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas. Standouts include the braised lamb campanelle and campanelle alla vodka with chicken—both rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Their Brussels sprouts are a surprising hit, crispy and seasoned to perfection, while the tiramisu delivers a sweet, creamy finish that’s hard to beat. Service is consistently praised for being attentive and accommodating, especially for guests with dietary restrictions. The staff’s knowledge and care elevate the dining experience, making it feel personal and welcoming. Whether you're dining with family, on a date, or just grabbing a bite with friends, Gelso & Grand adapts effortlessly. Prices are reasonable for the quality, with most dishes under $30, and the cocktail menu adds a creative twist to traditional Italian flavors. The restaurant’s location on a pedestrian-friendly block adds to its charm, making it a great spot for people-watching and soaking in the neighborhood vibe. Overall, Gelso & Grand is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious Italian cuisine in a festive, stylish setting. It’s no wonder it remains a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
The experience for me and my family was awesome. The “Meat and Cheese” platter was so good to start off as an appetizer. The pizza is so good with so many options to pick as. My personal favorite was the “Carbonara Pasta.” The egg yolk on it acted like a final touch to an Ice Cream with a cherry on top. Definitely you should come here if you stop by “Little Italy” 🇮🇹. They also have a nice chill out area downstairs. Go there while going to the bathroom.
Thrilled with the choice to go to Gelso & Grand!! If you're in the area, definitely go! The bar offerings are great (I had a couple Montauks which were fantastic)... after ordering, we got bread. It was flavourful, and a great starter... I got the vodka sauce pasta and my wife got the cacio e pepe. Both were very tasty... The photos are a bit deceiving as the dishes were smaller than they look and expected. After finishing up my vodka fish, I ordered a chicken parm (sans pasta) to fill up on. The parm was in the top 5% I've had!... very highly recommend, the service was friendly and prompt.
Very cute and aesthetic restaurant in Little Italy. I don’t think anything was that crazy or different but the execution of everything was as good as it should be. The calamari was nice and crispy and the sauce was really delicious but deceptively spicy. The pasta was also cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. I would want to try different places to compare, but this restaurant was great. It also has a really cool speakeasy/ basement bar that looks like it would be a really fun time.
First and foremost, if you are looking for amazingly delicious authentic Italian food, this is the place! The pasta is so fresh and perfectly cooked. The Fettuccine Bolognese is phenomenal, the best I've eaten outside of Rome. The Braised Lamb Campenelle was perfect. The pasta is cooked "al dente" so it is not sitting in water. It is made to order. The brussel sprouts are a great starter. The staff is wonderful, attentive but not overbearing. We had the pizza yesterday and it was an delicious wood fire pizza the Quattro Formaggio. This is our go to restaurant whenever we are in NY. I highly recommend. The manager Ty is so friendly and welcoming! An added bonus is the Espresso Tiramisu, delicious 😋
The food was very good and felt authentically Italian. The portion size for the truffle pasta could’ve been a bit bigger but it’s a minor complaint. We also had a crispy pepperoni pizza, which was really good and a New York cheesecake which was stellar. The aperol spritz we ordered were well mixed. I’d like to highlight that our server was incredibly friendly and charming.
I discovered this spot through InKind, and I’m glad I gave it a try, it did not disappoint. The spaghetti and meatballs were a standout dish, with perfectly cooked pasta and meatballs that were surprisingly tender and packed with flavor. I initially expected the dish to be a bit bland, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well seasoned and satisfying it was. The drinks were well crafted and balanced in flavor. Service was impressively fast, with staff who were attentive without being intrusive. To top it all off, the tiramisu was a delightful way to end the meal, with a rich, creamy texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The ambiance was comfortable and inviting, making it a great place to unwind. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I’d definitely return to try more dishes.
We went to Gelso and Grand for a birthday celebration. The razor clams and bone marrow bruschetta were amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and hit the spot. Definitely a special meal.

Excellent pizza - the best I ever had. Top desserts and fast, always willing and carying staff. Highly recommended for any visit.
We visited this place twice during our stay because the food and the service was really good. We had seafood and pasta, both were fresh, tasty and just as good as it would be in Italy.
Great Italian food in Little Italy! We had Calamari, a brick oven pizza and pasta, and it was all amazing. The service was good, too.

“If ambience could talk, this place would say la dolce vita.” 🇮🇹✨ Went here around 10 p.m. with a friend to celebrate his birthday, and honestly — the vibes were immaculate. Dim lights, aesthetic interiors, a buzzing bar counter, and that picture-perfect Italian pizzeria feel everyone imagines when they think of pizza 🍕🍷. The energy was high, people were in full Friday-night mode, and the place felt alive. If ambience alone decided ratings, this would be a 10/5 (sadly capped at 5 stars). That said, great food deserves equally great hospitality — and this is where the experience dipped a little. We were seated at a clumsy, noisy table and requested another cozy spot right behind us that stayed empty for over an hour, yet we weren’t accommodated. As someone from the restaurant industry, that was genuinely disappointing. The food and drinks, however, brought things back on track 👇 🍺 Draft beers: Super fresh, smooth, and easily one of the highlights 🍝 Pistachio Spaghetti: Nice crunch, decent flavor — solid 7/10 🍕 Truffle Mushroom Pizza: Absolutely fabulous 🤍 (minus the jalapeños, which added an unexpected sour kick) “Amazing ambience and food, but a little more warmth in service would make this place unforgettable.” Would still recommend it for the vibe, drinks, and pizza — just hoping the customer experience matches the beauty of the space next time ✨
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was truly amazing – a great place to visit and definitely worth recommending. The flavors were authentic, and the overall vibe of the restaurant made our night very enjoyable. However, the service could be improved. When interacting with the waiter, the attitude felt a bit rude, which took away from an experience that otherwise would have been excellent. Customer service is an area that needs attention, because with the quality of the food and the atmosphere here, this restaurant has the potential to reach another level.

It was great, but we did need to wait for the waitress a few times. We asked for figs in the side and never got it.
The restaurant was very nice, the food was good, the waiting time was not bad, but the service and the waiter's attitude were terrible. He treated us as if he was doing us a favor, he explained the menu to us with a terrible attitude and even made faces. What I don't think is that in these cases the restaurant takes tips for granted as part of the consumption, since there are people who do not deserve them, as in this case.
So mad about the takeout vodka pasta I ordered that I made a new google account to write this review. Do not order takeout from here. Pathetic portion size that genuinely looked like someone already ate half. And then it was also bad - pasta not cooked well, sauce bland and also didn’t taste good. And, on top of that, it was over $20.
