great happy hour and nice patio setup. owned by the same people as bar belly so you know it’s good. we walked in at 6:30 on a friday with no wait. wine was great and cocktails were good. would return for drinks and snacks before a night out.

Went there tonight with former co-workers and a co-worker's boyfriend. Wonderful ,cozy place. Good menu. Excellent service. Food was delicious! I recommend it. Unfortunately we couldn't wait to dig in so plates are incomplete. We also shared dessert. The San Sebastián Cheesecake. Creamy center, burnt exterior, wild Amerena cherries. 5 of us shared it. Next visit I get my own piece! Awesome dessert!

Vibey basque restaurant, sister to Bar Belly next door. We had the pan con tomate, mushroom croquettes, Gildas, and the gambas as tapas between 2 which was all delicious and the right amount. We then had the basque cheesecake for dessert and a glass of Port on the house! The staff were all excellent too- Ally the waitress was super attentive and helpful, and the owner was a great character to meet too! We will be back!

My new fav tapas bar! Their vermouth selection is great; the dishes are excellent and combines the right flavors and textures. The cheesecake is also mindblowing - no pictures because I was long done with it by the time I remembered to take a photo.

Hidden gem in the LES. The vermouth on the happy hour menu is the best one I've ever had and the tapas they serve to accompany it is so delicious. If they have the duck croquetas as a special definitely get them. The basque cheesecake was mind-blowingly creamy.

The tapas we had were some of the best (including in Spain), especially the pan con tomate. And the Basque cheesecake! The best I’ve ever had. Service was also amazing, we got the cheesecake free because we were asked to move down one spot. Totally not necessary but oh so welcome. Wish I lived around the corner.

Stopped in on a random Sunday night and was blown away! The food is all incredibly flavorful and portioned well. Great selection of wines and vermouth with incredible service from Gigi. Will definitely be back!

Excellent food and the nicest staff! They were very accommodating and made my birthday extra special! The pulpo was perfectly cooked and the basque cheecake was heavenly! Great vermouth as well. Everyone absolutely loved it.

We kicked off our happy hour with their homemade Burbuja; it was refreshing and perfectly balanced—it set the tone for an incredible evening! The Patatas Bravas were a showstopper, crispy and accompanied by a delicious aioli that had me coming back for more. And of course, we couldn’t resist trying the Jamón Iberico—such a treat! What truly stands out at Carlota is the attention to detail in every dish and drink. The Vermouth-based Tinto De Verano is a must-try; it’s light, fruity, and utterly refreshing. I also enjoyed exploring some of their unique creations that you won’t find anywhere else. Each plate was bursting with flavor, making it the ultimate sharing experience. The staff at Carlota deserves a shoutout too! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, adding to the overall amazing experience. It's clear they genuinely care about creating an enjoyable atmosphere for their guests. In short, if you're looking for a place where you can unwind with good friends, great food, and fabulous drinks, look no further than Carlota. Went for happy hour which has $1 oysters and some top notch appetizers. Servers were super attentive. As my friend and I lingered the quiet cozy space got really loud. Good for the restaurant but too much for us. 😁

A really nice new addition to Dimes square! The sangria was really good and the tapas were solid. Service seemed a little chaotic but totally fine given it's a small space on a busy Friday night. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and it's a great option for the neighborhood
