THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE!!! The "secret" entrance is cute, the inside atmosphere is both chic and fun. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is delicious!! Getting out of the giant champagne glass is a bit slippery but worth it!!! Also, it's more affordable than expected, a major bonus!!

A bit crowded but the vibes are amazing! Good music to jam out to. We went during a TSwift theme night so they sold some merch there! Can also do some casual dancing as well! Limited seating at the bar and occasional tables in the side.

Amazing place with nice cocktails. A bit pricey but it was worth it.

Lena is the best! Had an amazing time at champagne problems. Great music, fantastic drinks, cool decor. Highly recommended either to celebrate with friends or just for their Chinese churros and a fun cocktail with great service.

This place was such a vibe. We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday here. The staff was great. David the host was so amazing. He was fun, customer service was unmatched and was so attentive to all of our guest and others patrons within the establishment. I would like to see some changes in the food menu but otherwise good. Yes, the pricing was on the higher side but it was an overall great experience. Thank you for making my daughters 21st birthday such a memorable celebration.

Shoutout to the guy at the entrance Art and our bartender Drew! We enjoyed our experience. Definitely a place to stop by for the views and drinks Only. I do not recommend the food.

This is the best Taylor Swift speakeasy in America, hands down. They had amazing tailored cocktails and memorabilia dedicated to her. Blasting her music left and right all night. Must come when you are in the city.

We had such a great time here! It was so fun getting in with the door of chip bags. The bartender Lana was so nice. We went on a weeknight and had the place to ourselves for a whole which was fun to take pictures and explore. There are so many details in the decor everywhere. It’s very whimsical! The drinks were good. Pricey as most are at these places, especially NYC. They play all Taylor Swift music! It was a memorable experience!

My friend and I went during the beginning of the blizzard, and Christian was a one man show that made us feel very well taken care of. We ordered the chicken bao buns, the potstickers, and maple fries and everything was very very good! The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Christian was the only person who came in that day to keep the bar open during the blizzard and was amazing. Thank you for our great service! Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in NYC!

I went to this place with no high expectations, being a swiftie it caught my attention. We went early as soon as it opened for a SaturTAY brunch and it was so fun! We were greeted by a lovely server who made going into the speakeasy so fun, he let us soak in the location and provided drinks to us as we ordered. He was so sweet and attentive! There was only a few tables but he made sure we had all we need. Overall I had a great experience here!

If you’re ever in NYC and craving a dining experience that blends elegance with soul, Champagne Problems is a must. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was effortlessly chic—inviting, intimate, and full of energy. The kind of place where every detail feels intentional, yet nothing feels forced. The food? Absolutely delicious. —comfort meets culinary finesse. And the waiter? The bomb. Attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making our night memorable. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a vibe, a mood, a moment. We loved it so much, it’s officially on our must-return list. Champagne Problems didn’t just serve us dinner—it served us joy.

I had a blast here. The big selling point? A game-style entrance. You pick one of several black chips, and boom—the secret door to the restaurant opens. Super fun and a little mischievous in the best way. Service, though? Mixed bag. It took a bit for a server to seat us, kept saying they were waiting for reservations, and folks who arrived after us got seated sooner, it did put a minor damper on the initial experience. Once we were at the table, the service picked up and stayed solid, the experience was top-tier. The vibe, the plating, the little touches all excellent. Food? Incredible. I’d call it 10 out of 10. Bold flavors, well-executed, and absolutely delicious. Heads up: portions run on the small side. The dessert itself was tasty, but the red topping had a spicy kick that surprised me and wasn’t my thing. Bottom line: I’d absolutely return for the food and the gimmick. If they smooth out the early-service bumps, it goes from great to unforgettable.

I celebrated my birthday here with both my daughters & I had a pretty good time. The food was good, I had a SirDavis drink in a sweet "Manhattan style" drink, jumped into the "bubble ball" wine glass, posed with the Giraffe...FUN!!! The atmosphere- dimmed lights made it warm, cozy and welcoming. Music on target, pick & choose your liquor of choice, comfortable seating areas or just chill at the bar. Bathrooms clean and remind you of where you are. The staff, which was 1 guy at the door who checked our I.D.'s and made us laugh to the 1-woman staff in this restaurant who was so courteous and hospitable. I would def recommend this restaurant to others.

I was walking around and spotted this place, the decor outside of it caught my attention and I decided to walk in and grab a drink. It’s a speakeasy type of vibe and you have to walk through a secret door, I’ll give you a hint, the way to open the door is on the left side of the wall. Don’t let them know I told you. The decor of this place is super cute! They have a huge champagne glass with balls unit and you can absolutely go in there and relieve your childhood. Corey the bartender was absolutely phenomenal. He was super friendly and made me feel welcomed. I definitely plan on coming to celebrate my bday here next month!

It was good to be here. Food was really good, a little simple presentation but it was good taste. The place is pretty and has a lot of potential, it was kinda empty when we went, but as a big Taylor Swift fan, I enjoyed being here listening to her music only and watching her music videos, definitely nice vibe if you are a Swiftie!

The food presentation was fun and also it tasted great. We were able to take lots of photos as the decor is beautiful and the music was great, we did a little dancing (and singing). It was a fun memorable night.!

This place is such a wonderful stop for a Taylor Swift (and still fun for the non-swifties) themed bar! The food is excellent, the drinks are great with lots of options for a champagne bar, and lots of photo ops. Christian took such great care of us!

Good service. Very brightly lit bar with creative concept centered around chips. Only downside is that the menu said Takis for these chips & pickles but I got potato chips 🙃🙃 . Asked the server and she said it’s more like whatever chips they have

it's not entirely Taylor swift themed but it's definitely inspired by her. I wouldn't knock on it though. the dj was great he played such a mix of music and I like that it wasn't only pop, there was rap and rnb / 2010s throwback music mixed in as well. the decor is definitely eclectic, there's motifs of giraffes. as for the service it was fine, nothing extraordinary but inside is definitely a different vibe

It was a very cool atmosphere. The only issue is that the waiter is so busy that he doesn't stick around long enough for everyone at the table to order.

So fun! It’s a Taylor Swift bar- what’s not to love. Yes, the prices are high. You are in NYC- you are there for the photo ops, music and vibes. The staff was amazing. If you’re a Swiftie and in NYC, you should go.

We came in as walk-ins around 11pm on a Saturday. The host told us he was only accepting reservations and to return in 40 minutes, saying he’d “try” to get us in. While waiting, we checked online and saw that reservations were available, so we booked one for 11:30pm to ensure entry. When we returned with our confirmed reservation, we mentioned it, but instead of welcoming us, the host had us follow another group in and didn’t even let us interact with the chip wall—which is supposed to be part of the fun. It felt like a petty response to us finding a way around his original “maybe” offer. What made it worse is that the venue was nearly empty. There was only one small group upstairs and another downstairs. It’s disappointing to see paying customers turned away or treated dismissively when there was no shortage of space. As a Swiftie, I was really looking forward to this experience, but it fell flat because of the poor hosting. Hopefully they do better in the future.

It's just ok. Overpriced drinks & food. Not totally Taylor Swift themed. Place plays a mix of her music of & others, and videos on the screen don't match the songs playing so that's a little disappointing. My Shrimp & Chips basket was around $38 and my drink aroud $20+! The atmosphere & our servers were great, but it isn't a place you need to go to . You'd be better off inviting friends over, eat , drink & play some TS music/videos.

This bar ruined other bars for me — in a good way. Once you’ve been here, everywhere else just feels… meh. The design is pure childlike wonder meets adult playground, sprinkled with retro Asian vibes. Honestly, if they ever bring in a live DJ, I might just move in permanently. My friends and I were on an East Village bar crawl, so we only ordered one drink here (the “Unicorn” — sweet enough to make a dentist cry). The location? Perfect. The space? Massive. The service? Oh, sweet baby unicorn… a solid one-star. The server did earn points for pitching me their two most iconic drinks, but my water glass stayed dry all night. The bartender/manager guy told me to delete a photo (turned out to be a misunderstanding), but nope — no apology. This is a family-run place, and honestly it gave off strong “we’re not here for the money” vibes… maybe too strong. If they are laundering money, I hope they at least launder the glasses better. That said, it’s still worth a visit just for the atmosphere — once. Bring a camera, but maybe keep it hidden.

Mhmm. It's ok. Came for a party for the owner. I didn't get the shots advertised. the champagne was supposed to be from 9 to 11:50, but I didn't get mine until 9:30 ish close to 10 when the owner showed up and it was over at 10. IG worthy pics. I would would try it for the experience. The unicorn drink was cute. I like the idea. The inside is nice. The general manager W.E, his name was chased me down to pay a bill that I already paid: so tacky. It's one of those places as a brown person I wouldn't go to. One of the things I have as a brown person is coins, DAVID!!

Well my visit was very disappointing - in fact so disappointing that we decided to leave after one drink. The staff were not very engaging or helpful - the descriptions of the drinks were not very accurate and to top it out the music was more fitting for an RnB nightclub not a champagne lounge. I didn’t expect every song to be Taylor Swift but certainly wasn't expecting Kanye West and artists alike to be jamming on the speakers. Overpriced drinks - crap music - and unfriendly staff. Dine and attend at your own risk!

Food was not that great. I got steak frites and the steak wasnt even hot it was damn near cold and also super chewy. The fries was better than the steak. Returned the steak and got the pineapple rice, it was okay, I’ve had better. The spring rolls tasted like they were frozen and cooked in an air fryer. I wouldn’t come here to eat again, just get drinks

H

I'm giving this place a low rating primarily due to the poor service we experienced. Aside from the service, the cocktails and food we received were enjoyable and inventive. The speakeasy has a fun atmosphere, with a Taylor Swift theme mixed with other celebrity touches and a unique twist involving chips. We were seated in the back and it took about 15 minutes to place our order, followed by another 20 minutes just to get our first drink. Although it wasn’t very busy, we noticed the servers tended to every table around us while we waited. Even after other tables that arrived after us were served first, it left us wondering if there was a bias involved, though I hope that wasn’t the case. We were also informed that our pizza was taking longer than expected, and while they did comp us a free appetizer—which was appreciated—after an hour’s wait, we decided to cancel the pizza and ask for the check to leave. Overall, the speakeasy has a great vibe and aesthetic, with fun cocktails, good music, and a solid menu. However, our initial experience was marred by the poor service.

It was hard for me to rate this venue as it was severely disappointing for me. It was advertised to me as a Taylor Swift themed speakeasy. Where there would be pictures of Taylor, and her music playing etc. Nothing crazy but Taylor Swift adjacent. None of that was true. When you walked in there was Taylor Swift music playing in the area you pick a chip bag and when you walked into the actual bar it stopped and it was just regular music. One TV was playing Taylor Swift music videos on mute. The drinks weren’t even named after her songs. It was a whole lot of nothing. The speakeasy itself was cute and giraffe themed and there was a champagne glass that you can take pictures in the drinks were expensive ($25 per) but tasty and came in cute cups. We didn’t order food being we were annoyed that we were misled with the advertising.

H

Overpriced food that looks and taste v cheap, drinks aren’t even that good. We came because of curiosity only and it was so disappointing. Music is v loud. Spent ~50 each for two food items and one small drink.

My partner got us tickets to their Taylor Swift themed Halloween Party via Resy. We were immediately given a drink upon entry, as well as a gift bag as noted in the event. The drink was fun and tasted fine. The overall aesthetic of the bar was also fun. It was my first time at Champagne Problems and I was disappointed that we got tickets to an event where a lot of the bullets did not come to fruition. There were no Taylor Swift themed treats; the DJ barely played Taylor Swift & they did not have a costume or karaoke contest. I think the bar is fine, but I would not recommended getting any event tickets.

B
Bianca Linder

Very underwhelming experience, tiktok can really make something look good. The service is super slow the music is way too loud to hold conversation the staff doesn’t really accommodate you drink wise with recommendations and the menu is very limited to overpriced Chinese. 2/10 very unfortunate I drove 2hrs to experience nothing basically.

This place has a lot of potential to be MUCH better. Very cool decoration but need to work on its service ( none of the servers were trained to take care of clients ) LIKE AT ALL. Not even to charge us. He left me the card machine to make my payment & walked away. Food taste and presentation were horrible 😩 we weren’t even asked ( how we wanted our steak cooked 🤦‍♀️) very basic servers questions. Not even the water type. Not everyone drinks NY’s nasty tap water. Bathroom were all dusty and dirty. Definitely not recommended.

I was really excited to visit Champagne Problems after seeing so many reviews, videos, and advertisements that made it look like such a fun, immersive speakeasy experience. Unfortunately, what we received was not what was advertised. We only found out upon entering that the speakeasy has two separate rooms that are only open on certain nights. This was never disclosed at the time of booking. The room we were placed in (apparently only open on Wednesdays) did not match the vibe or experience shown in their promotions. It felt misleading to discover this after arrival — especially considering there is a hefty cancellation fee within 24 hours. If the experience varies significantly by night, that should be clearly communicated upfront. Beyond that, the overall vibe felt uncomfortable. My party consisted of two gay men and one straight female. One patron persistently pressured our female friend to dance and sing karaoke despite her clear disinterest. It created an awkward and concerning atmosphere for our group. A night out should feel fun and safe — not uncomfortable or pressured. Overall, this was disappointing given the expectations set by their marketing. If you’re considering going, I would strongly recommend confirming which room will be open that night and what kind of experience you can actually expect — and personally, I would avoid Wednesdays.

A
Almalik Smith

The only positives were the atmosphere, the music, and the way the night ended. Everything else was a disaster. Let’s start with the manager, who allegedly appeared to be under the influence. Throughout the night, the service we received was horrible. The entire staff needs to be retrained from top to bottom — there were zero customer service skills on display. As someone who works in customer service myself, I found this absolutely disgusting. We were a party of eight, and it took nearly two hours just to receive our bill at the end of the night — and even then, it was wrong. The so-called manager didn’t seem to understand basic math or how to correctly add and subtract items from a bill. The food itself was equally disappointing. It appeared to be pre-packaged, frozen food heated up, yet it was overpriced. For example, we were served a baby-sized container of noodles and charged $28 for it. Make it make sense. This place seems to exist solely so people can grab a drink, take their social media pictures, and get out. If you’re hungry, I’ve go to the italian restaurant next door

d
danielle Elie

I went to this place, and they charged me more for the drink listed and even added a tip without my authorization. They demanded my card before I could order a drink, which felt very unfair. This is dishonest business practice and feels like theft. I am extremely upset and would not recommend this place

K
Katie Difford

As something that’s advertised as a “girls” brunch/ swiftie atmosphere, coming all the way from the UK to experience the “bops”, we were unpleasantly surprised to experience quite the opposite. With rap music so loud you couldn’t even hear each other speak. To have a two week booking in advance and put on a last minute event so off brand was extremely jarring and ruined the expectation and celebration planned. Not the Swiftie vibes that their instagram promotes in the slightest.

Terrible. I was brought here by friends and we all hated it. Weird speakeasy frontage, inconsistent service (waiter lost all interest when our second rounds were all beers instead of cocktails), and the loudest bass I’ve ever encountered in a bar. The cocktails are not only bad, but a rip off. My Breakfast at Midnight cocktail was essentially Disarrono and milk served in a throwaway mini Cinnamon Toast Crunch container, was gone in three sips, and cost $26. We came for drinks and apps, but we didn’t even bother trying the food. This place has to be a scam.

Not a Taylor Swift-themed bar. Clearly a struggling bar that has latched onto the TS brand with hopes of a lift in patrons. Didn’t eat, but had to score. Service was fine, but we were the only two in there. It was too loud for being empty, too bright for a cocktail bar at midnight, and had so little to do with Taylor Swift it was confusing.

Insane. Me and my party of 6 came here on a Saturday night - totally empty. We had decided on our drink orders and were waiting for the waiter to come around. They had introduced the martini ball pit to us and told us to take our shoes off if we wanted to use it, and as we were still waiting for our order to be taken I decided to get in until our drinks came. Then the waiter came to our table and told us that we can’t get in the glass before we ordered, when we were literally WAITING for them to come take our order. We left. Never felt more disrespected by a place in my life.

Please save yourself the time and don’t go here. I’m a huge swiftie and they advertise themselves as a “Taylor swift bar” there was little to no Taylor swift stuff, they had no physical menus for us threw us a pringles can and said “look at the QR code” and despite us having a reservation after standing for a while we decided to just sit at the bar after all the tables were empty and no one could tell us where to sit. We had a 2pm brunch reservation and despite them being open for 2+ hours it seemed like they just opened. Just don’t go unless you have no expectations. They also made me put in a card for reservations and I’m hoping they don’t charge me because I’ll be so mad.

Since it was my birthday that’s the place I picked. Now it’s cool the secret door covered with all the bag of chips and when the door opened it was beautiful inside. When we got there there’s only 6 people in the restaurant you’d think the server/ bartender would come around more often asking about food or drinks. She came twice about drinks and nothing whatsoever about food. I was so disappointed we finished out one drink and left.

Very disappointed. We didn’t hear one Taylor Swift song the entire time. Drinks were served in plastic cups and were insanely expensive even for Manhattan standards. Food was a joke, the charcuterie board had potato chips, peanuts, and cheddar cheese slices when it advertised brie and other fancy things. The wait staff was unorganized. Kim Kardashian was painted on the wall. Don’t waste your time or money.

I had a late dinner reservations on a Saturday night and when we arrived the place was empty. Not a good sign. I went because this place was promoted on social media as a Taylor Swift themed location. Besides small screens silently playing her music videos there was nothing Taylor-related in the place. They weren't even playing her music. The decor was odd- and not in a quirky or campy way. It honestly felt dirty or dusty inside. The drinks were incredibly expensive even by Manhattan standards. We ordered a cocktail and it was nothing it write home about. Service was slow- which was odd since we were the only two people there. We were supposed to have dinner but the vibes were off. They had a menu that listed good sounding food but the place was empty and cold and I couldn't imagine wanting to stay through a meal. We paid and left. I was very disappointed in this experience. Don't waste your money or time.
