I contacted Famous Calabria to cater my 25 person fashion show. The owner Dennis is a real stand up guy. I wanted him to show me how to do the pineapple-cherry tomato-mozzarella skewers and he actually came to our site to show me how. It was so tasty and quite the centerpiece. Now the lasagna OMG I’ll pay a ransom for that secret recipe, that’s how well prepared and delicious it was. Drop in for a visit or order catering - your taste buds will absolutely love the food and your wallet will be at ease. Now there’s a winning combination.

Ordered dinner from Famous calabria for the first time, but definitely not the last time. We had the vodka pizza and chicken francese, both were amazing, one of the best vodka slices I’ve ever had.

Ahhh this pizza is so good! We were traveling the streets trying to find something delicious and came across this gem. It sits on the corner so we decided to go inside. The little pizza shop is cozy with a neat modern vibe. The pizza itself is delicious and very filling. We got a large 18 inch for $22 and half of it was a speality pizza. Plus they gave us some free garlic knots ♥️😁 Highly recommend.

Me and my friend order medium Calabria pizza and it was absolutely amazing. It has 6 enormous slices of pizza (25$). Two of us ate 2 (1,5 slices) and it was AMAZING! Pizza was done in 10 minutes. You can choose from many options (veggie, meat, plain cheese). I recommend this place highly! They are really nice people working there and they make pizza in front of you. Stopped by Famous Calabria Pizza and tried a plain cheese slice along with their classic grandma slice — both were absolutely fantastic! CUTE PIZZARIA WITH A GREAT CATERING EDGE: I’ve walked past this pizzeria umpteen times. Calabria Pizza looked cute and inviting especially at night with their lighting from outside. I’m glad I finally tried it as it was an interesting visit. It is a little nook on the Lower East Side that provides a casual break spot for a simple meal. They also run, a burgeoning catering business. They have an enormous menu, which ain’t cheap but given their portion sizes, makes sense to some extent. The best things on this menu are the spaghetti Alfredo and the Greek salad, which I had with shrimp. Simply fresh, flavorful and delicious. My all time favourites. The pizza slices are enormous - as are the portions of all the other dishes. I found the slices somewhat salty but a tasty meal in and of itself. I cannot recommend the pizza ensalata enough! So healthy with a soft pizza crust and fresh salad on top! The the grilled chicken pizza slice. Tender and perfectly roasted Caesar chicken chunks on a perfect pizza dough. They make their own soda pop which is quite delightful. Although I am not partial to ever having carbonated soda drinks due to high sugar levels and my fitness regimen, Calabria’s pineapple and lemonade pop flavors tingled and enticed my taste buds quite refreshingly on an almost spring day. If you like your pizza and pizza service like I like my pizza crust, rough around the edges but soft and, crisp and delicious inside, this is the spot for you! I highly recommend this spot for catering your events, casual meals and of course, take out! Bon apetite!

I’ve been around Brooklyn bridge today meanwhile looking for a good place to eat but because it’s Sunday not too many places were open, I stopped by Famous Calabria Pizza, and absolutely highly recommended it!! Since you step in you find a super nice service and a wide selection of foo! I had a slice of vodka margarita, side of meatballs and french fries! Was amazing! I will definitely come back very soon!

Got a tasty, crusty Margherita slice. It actually cracked when I folded it, and stayed firm in the fold. It didn't flop over like so many slices do these days. Sauce was good. Ingredients were fresh, even though I got the last slice. Service was friendly. I'd return to try others if I'm in the neighborhood.

Unique decor and very friendly staff. Free wifi. The pizza is great and slices large too. Two was more than enough. The garlic knots were plain and dry and ... what's up with charging $1 for fountain soda refills? Come on guys, it's a few pennies of soda in the first place. Tacky, loud customers blasting children's movies on their phone definitely kill the ambiance. Get takeout.

Such a unique experience! The pizza here isn’t your typical pizza—it feels like a mix of two food worlds in one. I tried the Caesar salad pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza, and honestly, I never thought those combinations could work, but they totally did. Literally one of the worst chicken Parm heros I've ever had. It looks good until you bite into it. Bread was chewy in a bad way, chicken is lacking, just tasted salty, thin and dry. Barely any sauce. Definitely not not put together with love and care. Total failure.......

Today I went to the cashier and ordered a beef patty with mozzarella and grabbed a bottle of water. I paid the cashier with my debit card. I waited ten minutes before I noticed that 3 different customers received their orders. I went up to the cashier and greeted me like it was my first time there. So I asked him where is my beef patty with mozzarella? And he replied "I don't know, you're supposed to order over there" I told him, "but you see me sitting there without no food and didn't think to ask your colleague what happened to his order" After that he opened the register and tried to hand me cash as a refund. I told him...no, I paid with my card. He then asked his manager to address me with a refund. In short, BOTH the manager and cashier...did not offer an apology and the cashier was extremely rude when I asked for one, instead the manager finally apologized and completed my refund. FOOD is GREAT.....SERVICE SUCKS!!!! DO BETTER!!!!

The guys were super nice. Pizza looked good in the case... but it's not that good. The Sicilian thick crust slice was 92% bread with a thin layer of sauce and cheese. I've seen more sauce and cheese on a middle school cafeteria pizza. My 2 cents is just add some more sauce, please. The Caesar salad looked great but that dressing had zero tang and I still have the wonky taste in my mouth 2 hours later. I want to like the place since all the pies looked great in the case. I'd like to try it again and go with a traditional pie.

I recall going to this pizzeria when they first open and the pizza was actually very good. I just ordered a large pizza pie with sausage the sausage tastes like it came out of a supermarket horrible. The pizza was a little too doughy I recall it being thin and crispy when they first opened. Not sure why the pizza was horrible Maybe it was because I ordered for delivery

I don’t know what happened to their Fried calamari, but these ones I just received are not eatable. They are hard, flavorless and look like frozen bought from a bad supermarket. Not like the previous orders or the picture they have on seamless. Very dissapointed!

I ordered the Prosciutto Di Parma & Fresh Mozzarella Hero, and was very disappointed with what I received. Instead of arugula, it came with shredded lettuce, and there was barely any prosciutto—just one small, dry piece. For $15, this sandwich was absolutely not worth it.

Worst place to get food in two bridges. They reheat old food and serve it to people. They put bacon bits on a burger and call it a bacon cheeseburger. Please boycott this place so something else takes its place

I had the cold cut combo hero. The sandwich was a decent size and tasted okay. I didn't get any roasted red peppers (part of the description of the sandwich) and the sandwich really needed some oil and vinegar and/or some giardiniera. It wouldn't take much to make this a much better sandwich. I'm giving my overall experience a 1 because I was charged a fee for using a credit card fee. I would have been fine with this if they did as most places do, tell you that there's a fee unless you use cash. They didn't so this is going on my list of places to avoid.

My coworkers and I come here five days a week on our breaks to buy pizza slices. One day, I decided I didn’t want pizza and came in with a small burger. The guy started raising his voice, saying that no outside food was allowed. I didn’t even get to enjoy my burger.

The employee was going back and forth with me rudely about what I didn’t order previously to coming which I wanted again and that was a small side of Greek salad that I ordered several times along with other items… he was consistently saying rudely that hasn’t been done in years and I let him know that I recently brought it; there was no issue I don’t understand why I’m getting this response now; being that he wasn’t the the one that did the side salad but the owner did he wanted to continuously argue me down about it! I told him several times the conversation was over it’s okay I know what I ordered just say it’s no longer available and move on with my new order. He didn’t and kept speaking on the side salad…so I proceeded to leave not getting my money and being treated rudely! As I’m leaving he said “don’t ever come back here again” I told him your Boss won’t be too please with you being rude to customers and also losing business b/c you couldn’t control your ego! I told him you don’t ever have to worry about me coming into this place again this isn’t the only place to eat to be mindful of that when you decide to allow your ego to overpower you! I’m one person imagine him being rude to several others! LOSING BUSINESS to customers that frequently go to your store isn’t a good look! Sorry to the owner but your employee differently needs an attitude adjustment and thank you for the service I did receive and I enjoyed the salads but I can no longer give this place business. (Service 2 stars b/c of what happens) other then that several of the employees are welcoming and accommodating. Update: thanks for the reply…I didn’t go into the establishment but I did have someone order me a salad yesterday 9/7/23. My review wasn’t to bring down the business but to bring awareness to how one of your customers was treated which was me. I never experienced that before going there so it was a major shock…. I love the salad and other things…so just for recognizing my review and replying respectfully I appreciate that. I always recommend this place for a salad every etc. even if I’m not ordering. Regular slice was honestly terrible. The sauce is straight from a can and full of oregano. One of the worst pizza sauces I have ever tasted. On par with supermarket Ragu in the jar. If the owners are reading, buy Full-Red and Valoroso whole tomatoes and mill the tomatoes, then add your own spices. Its cheap and what makes good pizza good pizza. I've been in the pizza business 40 years.. This tastes like pizza flavored Combos. Cheese was decent. Not Grande. But OK. The cheese on the Sicilian masked the terrible agita inducing sauce.
