SUPER CHILL LAID-BACK VIBE 🌅 This is a hidden bar off the block with a great vibe literally steps away from the sidewalk. A great place to grab a drink to unwind after a long day or a rendezvous with one other person to catch up over drinks. The vibe is a little bit of Austin, TX by the lake here. You can go inside to a modest-spaced bar or simply walk up to the window outside from the patio. The decor is unpretentious which is refreshing and probably the allure in this “well to do” neighborhood. It does have a casual yard feel with gravel ground and even the roof of the patio area is just plain old tarp… but it just works to the overall aesthetic here. The music 🎵 isn’t so overpowering so you can hear each other talk. They also serve food by a walk up window trailer where you can get hot dogs and burgers etc. In the summer, I like walking 🚶🏽 in for a quick frozen margarita, sit back and chillax. Love this place! Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The best. Super thoughtful design aesthetic that shows ownership’s personality. Unique large outdoor space for this neighborhood that feels m more like Austin than New York. They added a heated camper for extra indoor, heated space during the cold months. Also TVs! Have to check this place out. Not just a summer spot.
This was the closest open place when I was here on a business trip. As soon as I walked through the gates I had the feeling I left NYC, I could have been in Austin, Berlin, or some LA back yard. Atmosphere is as the name says, it's a yard with tables, benches, hanging lamps and flags, with a couple of food-truck like food stands. The bar at the back is tiny, 3 tables and 4 or 5 bar stools, but the drink selection is fine. There's no NYC hustles and bustle here, it's a welcome city escape in the summer! Only drawback: neither of the two "food-truck" take cards, cash only, ATM is on the premises though
Place has Mexican food a bar and a coffee bar..cool spot..and super dog friendly
The breakfast burritos are so good, and Stan is such a kind, awesome human! He really cares about you, our world, and the awesome burritos he’s making. I’m a regular now! :)
Super cool place. Great beer and great vibes. Feels like an outdoor venue you find in Austin, with a uniquely Brooklyn take.
Love the vibe Hope they can get rid of the $15 credit card minimum policy
Great weekend deal!!! $3 mimosas in a quaint backyard setting.

Great vibes and good drinks
Loved it 🥰
Good spot
Tacos are great!
The ambience is second to none!
Wonderful outdoor space with misters to beat the heat. Very tasty cocktails.
Had a really great time working outside while drinking beer. OOO? Maybe idk but I can tell you I was still working and still drinking. I’d come back
It’s a cute bar hidden away in Brooklyn downtown. The beer was great!
Awesome spot to just chill! It's really like you just walked into someone's backyard. Love the vibe here!!!
the best breakfast burrito in nyc is located at the mexican truck at this bar
Awesome outdoor space with tasty drinks! What a great venue
Great place to relax and get a drink by yourself or with friends.
nice
Love this bar. The employees are very friendly, the drinks are very good and if you're hungry, there are places to eat around the area.
A good spot for a drink on a nice day. The majority of the bar is outside, and is great on a spring or summer day. Cocktails were good and the staff were nice. Yard bar doesn't serve food, but there is a small food cart/truck style place at the same location. Their hours don't match the bar's, so be aware of that of you are looking for something to eat when you go out.
I love this place! A friend was walking by a couple weeks ago, and recommended we check it out. The drinks are solid, food is really good, and they have a couple of food options. There’s a grill on one side, and a food truck on the other. They don’t have cocktails, but they have beer, cider, wine, and spiked seltzers. On the weekends, they have the most generous happy hour I have seen in the city. $3 mimosas from 11-4. Like the name suggested, it is outside. It’s spacious, and has a great vibe. Definitely check it out.
Im new to the area so I went exploring with a friend after work. We stumbled on Yard Bar and it was empty. It was a Monday on a very cold night in March so not super surprising. A lot of other business are closed on Mondays. Anway we went in and met Monet, (I hope that's how you spell it) the bartender. She is SO sweet and friendly and made us feel so welcome. Also has great taste in music. She opened up the van just for us and turned on the tv and heat and it was so cozy. We can't wait to spend our summer here!

Small bar with yard up front. The bar inside is cute but the big draw is the front yard. Very cool place to sit and enjoy some drinks. The service is fast and the prices are good. The atmosphere is very chill. I would probably stop by again if I'm in the neighborhood. I liked the vibe and the look of the yard.

Solid.
Cool vibe. Darts is fun.
Stopped in for a quick drink after walking by and seeing the yard bar sign from the street. Limited seating inside the actual bar, but the draw is really the yard. Lots of action on a Saturday afternoon.
Went to see a comedy show. Comics were great especially Caleb Clark.
Super cute hidden garden bar with decent drinks menu and food truck on site. Great for a sunny afternoon.

It's a nice spot to hang out and drink. Food service was terrible.
The service was horrendous according to many of my friends. If you get a bottle of wine it’s not too bad though 🤣
Great atmosphere and food choices but $9 for a sub-par beer from a plastic cup. It’s a no from me.
Getting this three stars based on a lack of consistency. I do love a good outdoor bar and have frequented this establishment many times this summer. Quality is really dependent on which bartender is working. I've ordered 3 margaritas over the past month. The first was one of the best I've ever had. The second tasted like diluted tequila and sweet juice. And the last one was just average. I've also asked various bartenders about happy hour specials and have gotten a different answer each time. Hmmm. The wine pours, which sometimes are happy hour special and sometimes not, are also various sizes. One time, I got a full glass, and another time, it was just over half full. I'm not necessarily going to stop coming here, but I will now only order a straight draft or a bottle of beer.
Jerk chicken tacos were disappointing. $10 for two tacos with very little meat… never again. The Smokey eggplant burrito was okay but again not worth $12. I’ve had the Mac and cheese which is the only item worth the price. Go to the other booth called Mo-Bueneo Burritos and they are better. Only going there for drinks but even those would be considered overpriced for the chill outdoor atmosphere they are trying to portray.
The setup is really nice, great to have a new open door bar with a chill vibe in the neighborhood. Though beer selection is rather mediocre, standard names while other places in Brooklyn have to offer a variety of craft/local/East coast beers. Say Heineken as an option for a non alcoholic beer, come on, you could do better =D and yeah, it’s pricey for the kinds of beer they serve

Diluted tequila with concentrated lime juice called “margarita.” Not a cool drink, 15$ each.

9/9/23 we arrived around around 120ish-140ish Bartender was very rude not welcoming and honestly as an African American made us feel out of place and not welcomed. It was already no diversity but then to not even be greeted by her or acknowledged, then when my friend asked her a question she gave us this nasty attitude and tone. Her delivery was just nasty and rude for no reason. We felt so uncomfortable so we left. New York needs to do better with who they hire and also diversity and exclusion matters. Highly disgusted! If you are black please do not go to this place they gave us racist vibes.
This review is regarding the jerk restaurant at Yard Bar. It was by far the worst “jerk” chicken I have ever had. Not at all traditional. I should have known when I asked the owner how he learned to make jerk and he told me that he “went to Jamaica for 3 weeks” and “there’s not much to it”. The food reflected as much. No flavor, chicken undercooked. The rice and peas had some type of curry sauce on it with huge chunks of ginger (not very pleasant to bite into). The best part of my meal was the grapefruit soda. Never again!
