An excellent Italian restaurant. The owner is Italian and you can immediately feel the passion – he works both in the kitchen and in the dining room, bringing a level of genuine Italian hospitality that is hard to find. The pizza is made in a wood-fired oven and tastes exactly like in Italy. The cacio e pepe pasta is absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared. The appetizers are also fantastic, with many great options to choose from. The fried calamari are outstanding. If you’re looking for a truly authentic Italian restaurant, this place is definitely worth visiting.
First time here! Love the atmosphere, very busy but felt like we were sitting in a family kitchen. The hostess, servers and waitstaff were amazing. For a table of 4 adults, tried the calamari which was fantastic, pear salad was OK. For main dishes we tried the chicken parmesan, chicken, artichoke & mushroom, and the cavatappi bolognese, which were all excellent. Plus 2 bottles of Italian Cab. We also tried the cannolis, tiramisu and the chocolate cake. Also, very good. We will be back!
Super quaint but highly authentic Italian food. You can read and taste the variations on the menu. Lots of thought, great execution, superior taste all brought to your table by friendly staff. Happened in by attending a local basketball event. Italian is my fav and I will be back. I had the special bucatini. Great portion, homemade pasta. Wish for a little more of pork. Wife had bolognese which rocked, daughter had lasagna which was another winner. Grandkids spaghetti and meatballs which the cleaned the plate. Desert was homemade tarimasu and limoncello cake. No leftovers there! Highly recommend.
Great food with a truly homemade taste. The service is very attentive and personalized, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s a genuine Italian dining experience. I highly recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is not big but the experience it is.
Absolutely fabulous experience! From the moment we walked in, Luigi the chef/owner made us feel so welcome. He is genuinely kind and truly cares about his customers and their experience something that is rare and so appreciated. The food was authentic Italian in every sense. Being from New Jersey and 100% Italian, my sister and I have been on a mission to find real Italian food in the area, and we finally found it at Zuzzu. Every bite tasted like home. Hands down, this is the best Italian restaurant in Roswell. Incredible food, warm hospitality, and a chef who pours his heart into what he does. We will absolutely be back often!
LOVED EVERYTHING about it! So authentically Italian. The food, the atmosphere and the staff. We genuinely felt the love that went into our dining experience. Food was delicious!! Conversation with Luigi was a delight. Felt like home to us. ❤️🇮🇹
We just had a lovely meal tonight. The food was delicious, fresh, piping hot, and enough for another meal tomorrow. The service was great. It’s small and has the vibe of a neighborhood restaurant. And I love that the owner is engaged with each table. I wish I had taken pictures but I wanted to dig right in.
Very authentic little restaurant in Roswell. You definately need to get a reservation for a table. It was crowded the night we went. That being said, the staff was attentive to take our orders.. just have some patience with getting your food. Everything apeared freshly made. It was all tasty. We'll be back.
Nice atmosphere with excellent service. Pizza was very delicious but I've had better pies from wood burning ovens. We had caprese salad as an appetizer. I've been growing tomatoes for over thirty years and these tomatoes were not up to par. If you're in the Roswell area and yearn for a nice Italian restaurant completely opposite from the Olive Garden, definitely visit ZuZZu. Oh, and by the way, the service was very good.
Zuzzu is an amazing restaurant that I highly recommend to any fan of Italian Cuisine. It is worth a trip to Roswell! The delicious food is hand crafted with care and pride by Chef and Owner, Luigi and his team. You will feel welcome and part of the family immediately.
True Italian food. If you want food the way your grandmother made it, look no further. Family owned and operated by people from Italy that know how to make great food from scratch. Lasagna and Chicky Chicky Parm Parm are the best in GA. Even better than my grandmothers. Not sure why anyone feels compelled to complain about anything at this place. Dinner should be an event with family and friends not a rush! You want a rush job go to Olive Garden! Happy to support a local business owner especially when the food is this good!
Zuzzu is an absolute treasure in Roswell, bringing authentic Roman flavors to life with elegance and heart. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with an attention to detail that makes the dining experience both comfortable and memorable. The food is extraordinary — bold, authentic, and crafted with passion. From perfectly al dente pasta to rich, traditional Roman sauces, every dish is a true celebration of Italy’s culinary heritage. The service is equally impressive. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, always ready to share recommendations or explain the story behind a dish. You don’t just feel like a guest here — you feel like family. Zuzzu is the kind of restaurant that lingers in your memory long after the meal. Whether for a special occasion or a casual night out, it’s the perfect destination for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine and wants to savor the true essence of Rome. Luigi and his wife are amazing!!! We will be coming back!
Hands down the best Italian dining experience in Roswell! Zuzzu, owned by the lovely Luigi and Silvia, is a hidden gem. Their family-owned restaurant serves authentic Roman-Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The pasta dishes are divine, and the service is top-notch. Luigi and Silvia's passion for food and hospitality shines through in every detail. Don't miss it! 5 stars isn't enough – I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Highly recommend!
This was an incredible dining experience, so lucky to have such a gem in Roswell. We went with a large group and the restaurant was accommodating, the service was friendly and the food was incredible. The mushroom truffle pizza and the calamari Napoli were the stand out dishes for me and all of the pasta was incredible - the tortellini in vodka sauce was so rich and meaty and had so much flavor! Only minor complaints I had was the seafood in the cavatelli fruti da Mar was nothing special - small clams and shrimp and only a piece or two of calamari -overall not worth the price I wouldn’t order again but the cavatelli and the pesto were incredible and fresh and I would definitely get both again without the seafood also the tomatoes in the caprese salad were just alright -maybe they were just out of season - but they weren’t flavorful enough to be the star of a caprese salad. The burrata was so good though! These were such minor things but overall the dining experience was incredible and our server was so nice and attentive - she even brought a wine bottle holder over for flowers my fiancé was carrying to put on the table. Definitely coming back here since we live so close.
Really great restaurant! We tried the eggplant parm and soprita pasta - both were fantastic. Sallad and apps were equally good. Service was fantastic - the server explained everything. There's love in this food, and it's a step above a lot of the food out on Canton St. Come here for the food - the pizza looks great but we didn't try it. Very nice oven!
The owner asked us to leave our table after only 50 minutes, while we were still finishing our order. The staff had been staring at his watch and at our table since about 35 minutes after we sat down. Extremely rude and unwelcoming behavior. After reading other reviews, it seems this is not an isolated incident. No plans to come back — there are much better options around.
Was pleased the first time we got a pizza there a few months ago but second time wasn’t the charm. Seems like the cook didn’t care, basically thrown 1/3rd of a chopped sausage randomly on the pizza, felt like a plain pizza with no toppings. I don’t think it’s too much to slice a full sausage and evenly distribute it for $22…Too bad.
