Fazoli’s was closed on this day for construction so I decided to hop on over to the Dairy Queen across the intersection to contruct myself a food baby made of blizzards and fried chicken sandwich known as “The Dude”. The Dude was pretty good but that’s like your own opinion man. The father of my newly conceived food baby was the Salted Caramel Truffle found on a very large rug that tied the dining area together. I had a good experience here till my adventure with the Dr. Pepper. After I filled my cup up I was bumped into where I loudly yelled “careful there is a drink here man.” The Dr. Pepper was spilled on the rug and then taken away. Which was very disappointing because of how well the rug tied the room together.

Clean store all around including the restroom. Friendly staff brings your order to you, something you don't see at many fast food places. Food was cooked to order so it was hot and fresh. I usually get the tacos, they're amazing, but this time I went with the chilli cheese Frito burger and it was good. Can verify that with the heartburn that followed. That's how you know you ate something good! Everyone's had a great meal. Will be returning soon!

I had the Jalitos Ranch Hunger Buster Burger. I wasn't prepared for the wonderfulness of what this burger was going to be. A delicious burger with a hint of spiciness. More then enough to fill you up. It paired excellently with a sweet tea. I followed it up with a Cookie Dough blizzard. Don't make the same mistake I did and order only a mini blizzard. You'll regret it. All in all I would rate this 6 stars if I could.

Went we to this Dairy Queen last night and our experience was amazing because of Adam. He was very friendly and is a great asset to DQ. Thanks so much Adam. He made us feel like we’re welcome and definitely will go back to this location.

05/12/22 - Needed some quick food. Stopped here and got the grilled chicken sandwich, large Dr. P, and a medium Blizzard. In short order, everything was ready and the crew inside as nice as can be. Everything was tasty and fresh. VERDICT: GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PRODUCTS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Been craving a chicken strip basket. I didn't know the sign has to say grill to get food otherwise all they have is ice cream. Was worth the money strip and gravy were piping hot. I wasn't disappointed.

Family just went in for blizzards. They were great! The service was on point as well.

I go here a lot, all the employees that work this location on Soncy are super chill. Always very nice and helpful. There lobby is always evacuate too. What really earns these guys an A++ though, is most of them actually know how to make a good ice cream cone.

Yesterday afternoon, I was lucky enough to come to this Dairy Queen location to get my manager her favorite meal since we work retail. When I pulled into the drive-thru, I was greeted by the most wonderful employee who not only asked me clarifying questions for my order, but had the best manners! (This is a rare occurrence at other drive thrus, so already I was surprised and delighted with my experience.) Then, when I approached the window, I got to meet that wonderful employee, Eddie, who made sure I had everything in my order, and double checked I had a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 experience! I cannot tell you how much this first impression made me feel, and also how it made my entire day! Please know how valued I felt as a customer, and I can’t wait to go back and get my favorite M&M blizzard as a small treat! I swear when this place serves you fresh food (from which they almost always do) it is delicious! Nothing can beat the double cheeseburger from here! However, we know when we are served old fries. :)

This place was old & run down. There was a soft spot in the tile on the floor from poor & improper installation.... The food was what you would expect, I went mainly for the blizzard.

Good ice cream but not enough workers. Took a long time to take our orders then took a long time to prepare 3 small blizzards.

Burger had almost no flavor and it was quite expensive. Fries ok. Ice cream really good but again, expensive!

Slow service. Med. Blizzard was only top 1/2 blizzard bottom 1/2 only ice cream. Flavorings were not stirred into the bottom half.

The cashier was slow and didn't have any help the place was full and the food was cold, poor girl needed help. I like my fries hot not hard and kinda warm, they need more help. That was the best Dairy Queen before now.

Could've been better, it was not packed, but it still took forever just to place an order inside the restaurant. It'll be awhile before I go back on my dinner break when I only have so much time. Other than that, it was clean and the food was good.

Have a little salad with your taco shell! Was shocked by the small amount of ingredients. Gave 3 stars only because the beef was decent and the shell didn't taste stale. Am glad I wasn't very hungry.

Blizzards were not mixed very well. French fries were gross. The taco shells were stale. The Food was expensive and not worth it and the person working the drive thru was not friendly.

Drive-Thru experience was subpar at best. Bill was incorrect. Staff was less than willing to correct their error. When order was finally received ot was cold & soggy. Will not likely return.

Sat in the drive threw for almost 10 minutes and no one took our order. Drove up to the window and the girl was extra rude, no sorry for our wait or anything... dairy queen on Washington and i40 is 10000% better service!

I ordered 3 meals and 2 blizzards the only thing that they got right were the blizzards, 1. Ordered a dude no lettuce or tomato it had it and the bun was was so greasy I couldn't eat it, 2. Ordered a 6 pcs chicken strip only got 4 and they counted 1 that was all batter and less than an 1" long , 3. Got a chili dog and the bun was so stale it was crunchy. We did call in and they said if we bring the food and reciept back they will replace the bad food. Will report and give another star if they replace the food with good food.

Manager was very rude. We were standing at the counter and we're told to go sit down and they would be brought to us. Our 2 drinks were served after 4 people had come in and gotten burgers. Neither of us will go back to this DQ.

Asked for cheesecake blizzard with extra cheesecake for three days in a row now. Still have not gotten extra cheesecake but definitely got screwed paying for the extra that I did not receive.

Not great service, ordered two chicken meals, paid , and while in line was asked to move up twice. When delivered to car - order was shorted one of the meals. She offered to reorder, we said no time, she was so sorry but did not refund and, honestly, we did not want to get in line again, so left. We split the meal - it was good.

The food and blizzards are good, but the drive through operator gave me a total before I was done ordering and sounded irate when I asked to continue, which would not be an issue except they proceeded to forget an entire combo, which I went back to get, and they still forgot the fries. TLDR: Good Food, very meh service.

Husband ordered a burger, I ordered my new favorite Blizzard (Chocolate Candy Shop). Burger was cold - not even room temp, legit cold! And they skimped on the candy in my Blizzard big time. Just lousy. Woman at the cash register was nice enough though.

The cashier, who's name I'm not sure or but according to my receipt should be Jolena was the most rude, unpleasant, hateful cashier I've ever dealt with not only here but at ANY establishment I've been to in my life. The store was busy so she may have been stressed, which she definitely showed. She spoke to not only me, but the customers before and after me with incredible disrespect and when another customer came up to inform her that there were no more drink lids, she snarled "ok" at her. Wow.. not much more to say except if I do decide to bring my family back here, I'm walking right back out if I see her behind the counter. I don't go out for a meal to be disrespected.

Took me as super expensive. Combo meal for my mom and a dude by itself for me, 17.48 almost 20 bucks for two burger 1med fry and 1 med soda. Inflation is everywhere these days, but it's alive and thriving here!

This Dairy Queen consistently has the worst temperament of the staff. Tonight I went and got 20$ worth of treats for my fam and the lady was rude. I don't expect you to be happy-go-lucky on a Sunday, especially on Easter, but if you wanna blame someone I am not the one to blame for that. After we ordered, I clarified my order since I had an add on and she got really defensive once I asked her "this is chocolate strawberry right?" I made sure not to have an attitude because she was dry at the window and I did wanna make her upset, but I also wanted to make sure my order was right since I bought an add on. She then had a tone with me about it. I miss when people were nicer. I'm not coming back to this location, and I'm sure the staff are totally cool with not getting enough business cause I doubt they get paid enough to live.

I got yelled at because I wanted the combo instead of just the burger during what's called "burger week". So, I won't be back. Fries were also gross.

Went for a quick bite. I ordered what looked like a good option: the Chili cheese Fritos Burger with onions and without mustard. I got it, and I could not find the onions. Looking at it, I really couldn't see the chili. It was flatter than a dollar menu McDonald's burger. I asked, and they looked at it. There was a half-dollar sized dallop of chili in the middle. They sid that's the regular amount, 1 ladel of chili. No onions. Not ordering that again, and definitely not from here. Wife ordered chicken strips. They were ok, but very dry. Then the Oreo Brownie Sundae. The brownie was not broken up at all, just frozen blocks on top of the ice cream. Overall, bad.

Was looking for something that resembled healthy and decided on the grilled chicken sandwich. Don't think it ever saw the grill just the inside of a microwave. Barely took one bite and had to stop... Would rate it no stars if that were an option.

Well just stopped here fries were terrible tasted awful. I saw them microwave my burger and I asked are you supposed to microwave the burgers she said yeah to melt the cheese and I laughed will not be a customer anymore. Food was probably 30 minutes old. I work as a cook so know for a fact you don't microwave a cooked burger gross.

Very rude people on the speaker, I had to repeat my order 4 times on the speaker still couldn't hear me drove up to the window and repeated my order another 4 time, the Blizzard's were practically thrown at me, then tried to say thank you just to have the window slammed in my face. The blizzards are never full, usually about 1 inch from the top of cup. The burgers and fries are cold 90% of the time, even though you wait 15 minutes to get them!? All of the employees I have encountered are unfriendly, the floors, counters, tables are usually dirty... I would say avoid this location.

You're ice cream machine is carrying bacteria that is making people sick. You need to keep them clean. Because of this w will never eat there again. Clean them or get rid of them.

The service isnt bad but the food is aweful. I finally convinced my gf too go here (she always said the food was bad), should've listened to her. I order a hunger buster no cheese with fries and drink as well as a plain cone. The gf ordered a hunger buster jr with cheese fries and drink plus a blizzard. Her blizzard was good but my burger had cheese and hers didnt, on top of that her buns were smooshed and soggy from grease, and there was a small hair on it. She didnt eat it. I never recieved my cone either. We just left. Patgetic service, i'd rather eat mcdonalds.

Very rude, one of the worst 20$ spent on dinner. Lobby was freezing. Asked why we only got half our order of jalitos, manager went & got cashier from outside instead of taking care of my complaint herself. Both came back in smelling of cigarette smoke copping attitude saying they follow what franchisee says. Older cashier scoffed when i asked for refund & argued that they have better food than all other DQ. LOL 4$ for half cup jalitos....yah, worst DQ, the others at least fill the fry carton & dont smell like a brothel or feel like a meat freezer. ive been in this dairy queen twice the staff standoffish there was this young guy with black hair no personality the second time i went in again just no personality this was on Aug 2nd 1:30 in the afternoon i was in line and he had sneezed into his hands and then handed cups to the customer he turned to me and i said you need to wash your hands he didnt argue with me and did wash his hands but its the point he sneezed in his hands around food you NEVER do that,,,, i wont be back as its to dangerous today these young people need to pay attention more than ever your never to busy to busy to wash your hands and you all need to work on your customer service a smile eye contact

Worst Dairy Queen experience ever. The people who were at the counter were inexperienced, slow,error-prone and unsupervised. The dining room was filthy. Everyone had to clean a table before they sat down. Food was slow,my tacos were cold.

I order the Texas T Brand tacos very often as they are my fav & quick on the go! However, tonight I couldn’t even finish one because they tasted dirty and tasted of wet dog??? Very disappointed plus a waist of my money after not having time to eat all day. Fir me to not finish them after starving tells you how terribly they tasted. Yuk! In the past everything here has been great along with the staff. Idk what’s going on but it needs to be fixed. Let’s hope I don’t wake up very ill tmrw! 😔

I have both a speech impediment and a learning disability which makes ordering a challenge. I was treated disrespectfuly and was rushed to order by the employee how could not be care less that I was having problems speaking. When I tried to point out that she got the oder wrong, she didn't want to be bothered to change it. I will not be here stopping agen.

If I could give NO STAR AT ALL I would. The lady in the drive through (manager) on August 13, 2019@ 4pm. Was SUPER SUPER rude! Wouldn’t let me finish ordering without saying is that all? All rude. When we get up to the window she yells the price and grabs the card then slams the window. After waiting forever she opens the window hands the bag to us and slams the door before we could even ask her for ketchup so at this point I yell at her through the window and said I need ketchup she goes it’s in the bag and slams the window.

Spoke with manager Victoria who admitted fault but wouldn't fix the problem. Didn't have my recent but had the FOOD made incorrectly and still in the bag and wrappers but this wasn't good enough I guess to not be called a thief trying g to scam them. I really hope people see this and spend their money elsewhere

What a scam! Signs everywhere saying download the app and scan your receipt for a free mini blizzard. Problem is the receipt has no bar code! You can’t scan it! So we walked out with no free mini blizzard and no credit toward a future one! Won’t go back!

Good ice cream but we ordered 2 strawberry and 1 cherry cheesecake blizzards with extra cheesecake on all three. We got vanilla ice cream with no flavoring with very very little cheesecake. We were left VERY UNSATISFIED

Charged extra for lettuce on my cheese burger but received no lettuce. Ordered at drive up. 3 employees could figure out which order was mine. Place was filthy. Food tasted terrible. Ended up throwing it all away. People who ordered behind me had 4 chocolate shakes. Just like my shake they got chocolate milk. Tossed theirs in the dumpster too. Employees claimed all shakes where suppose to be watery. My dog would not eat the food.

If there is a dumpster behind the county jail, you might want to consider eating there instead of at this place. I waited a month after my early April experience to make sure my review was not unduly influenced by travel exhaustion and frustration. It is not. My onion rings were hot and fresh. The manager was bagging my order as the cook was pulling my burgers out of the microwave. When I Asked why, the cook said it was so everything would be really hot. When I asked if he had just cooked the burgers fresh, he said yes. When I got to my hotel room - 1/10 mile away - I discovered that the 4 burgers were cold, three of them were not what I ordered, and the fries were cold. Only the onion rings were hot. When I called to complain, the manager said she would "talk to the cook," which I found laughable, since she bagged my order. Look For the dumpster, or any place but this sorry excuse for a purveyor of food and blot on the name of Dairy Queen. I might have been more forgiving had I not seen that others had exactly the same experience.

Literally ordered a Oreo cheesecake and only got Oreo but sure did get charged for the cheesecake. Had to ask for napkins cause none were offered at drive thru

the absolute worst experience I've EVER HAD. AWFUL customer service. extremely rude. she was grunting and sighing and cussing over and over while we were placing our order. she was probably drunk.. we decided to leave and she was still cussing in the speaker. after I went inside she wouldn't give me anything to get ahold of the company ... this is unacceptable. they were all being bad employees. teenagers would do a better job. they were are all bitter.

Worst customer service ever. Obvious that the people there didn’t want to be there. Was greeted with “What do you want?” by a woman at the drive-thru in the most negative, you’re bothering me by being here tone. Once I ordered her response was, “what else?” and “pull up”. Pulled up to the window and tried to be friendly only to have my total snapped at me by a different gentleman who snatched my card out of my hand. He handed it back without a word. I said thank you after every item he handed me and still he didn’t say a word. He also clearly didn’t want to be there. There are other DQs in town not that far away, I would suggest trying them instead of this location.

WHAT HAPPENED?!! This was the location I would recommend but not now... The night manager with the broken leg could be the downfall. Training needs to be done on all levels. Seriously if you're gonna allow the manager to yell and speak unprofessional to the employees (yes, they were also rude to some of us customers) then maybe keep the lobby closed.

The service is poor and so far we've gotten orders wrong there. Just recently me and my mom ordered through the drive through, my mom got a cheeseburger with tomatoes and mayo, fries, and a dr pepper while I got a hot dog ketchup only and a brownie batter blizzard. The burger had no cheese and the blizzard was nothing but chocolate ice cream without the brownie batter or brownie pieces

The guy doing register was amazing and on top of hus stuff, but the food... the food was 50/50. It was SUPER GOOD. On my end. BUT my wife.. got a burger, and got food poisoning. We know it was this location because this is all we ate yesterday night, and we both a familiar with food poisoning. My recommendation is to get that back kitchen sanitized and cleaned before Health Inspection comes.

We are from WA and we wanted to get steak fingers here in TX. Orderd 2 baskets. We ordered and were told they were out of fries and offered us tots salad or OR in place of fries but they still did an uncharge. I guess that's one way to force upgrades. Then they gave us 1 basket and 1 chicken strips. They took the strips back and we waited for the second basket. They never made it. So we canceled it. Huge disappointment in so many ways. The manager could have cared less about any of our complaints. Cured me from DQ in TX especially this location.

On Saturday 3-1-25 around 9pm I went to Dairy Queen (Soncy location). I got a beef taco salad and a mint blizzard. Then the next day I woke up with nonstop diarrhea, throwing up, chills and other symptoms. I couldn’t even hold down Sprite or Water. Definitely have all the symptoms of food poisoning. I know it was from DQ because that was the only place I ate that day. I reported it to the health department and I won’t go back.

The layout of this Dairy Queen is interesting. They are also remodeling. Mainly what’s irritating is I spent 12.00 for cold food. Which you know what I understand things are hectic and you have a lot of orders, but the grease used to fry the steak fingers needs to be changed. Every bite was old grease and the finger was huge and heavy, but the breading soaked up the grease. Disgusting
