My group of four people sat at the grill. We were treated with the cook preparing our meal. The performance was good, and the meal was great. We also were able to witness the "Lightning and Rainshower" display. Expect to pay $30.00 or more per person, but go ahead and treat yourself.
Great place, great food, great service! Try the plum wine!!!
I wanted to order a take out but, that doesn't start until 4:30. Lucky for me I was seated with the intention of taking my food in a carry out container. I'm happy I did I got a chance to experience the whole experience. It was awesome. And after I got to the hotel to eat, the food was great.
Absolutely my favorite every time. Been going for my birthday every year. Remembering going when it was by red lobster and food has been consistent ever since!! Now the atmosphere is fantastic, customer service is always great.
We have been coming here for the last 9 years or more. The sushi chefs are all so nice! We have taken our kids here for their birthdays for the last two years. This place has really good sushi! I’m not kidding. I’ve eaten other places in Amarillo and our Family just keeps coming back. We love the other stuff on the menu as well. Did you know you can get sushi pizza! Try it! I dare you. It’s fresh and I am always happy they have not gotten rid of diet Dr Pepper. If you want Ambiance this place has it. It’s fun. The grill area is in the shape of a boat, and surrounded by water. It rains every few minutes with live water. Don’t worry, you won’t get wet. We love all the staff and they really do try to give their best. There is a bar it’s beautiful, but we don’t drink.
Always excellent food, service, atmosphere
I never leave reviews for restaurants I visit but I had to for this one. I was very pleased with the experience and the food was simply amazing. The waiter was amazing and so nice, really made me feel in place and left me with a warm feeling. The cook was also great! He was funny and tremendously skilled! Can't wait to come back.
Had a great time! Sat at the grill and chef cooked our meal in front of us. A little pricey but very generous portions. We sat in a section that looked like and was shaped like a boat. I noticed water around us and then the show started... thunder, darkness, lightning and rain. It was definitely different and amazing... Something you have to experience for yourself to enjoy. Our waitress was Madi she took real good care of us.
Our food was fantastic, I really loved our chef he paid attention to my order. Only complaint was that there was only one bartender and drink service was very slow. Especially on a day like Mother's Day.
What an atmosphere! Who has a boat in their restaurant? Also who can make it storm and rain? Only Kabuki. And the food was delicious!
Wow! We had so much fun at dinner! It was amazing to watch our chef cook on the open grill. The ship and thunderstorm atmosphere made it fun! I had the thin sliced New York strip steak with fried rice and vegetables. It was delicious! They were very accommodating for my shellfish allergy. Others in our party enjoyed their seafood entrees. We will come again!
Great food if cooked by the right chefs. There is one chef that cooks a bland meal every time we get him. The others are really good.
My family and I had such a great time. Mika (I apologize if I spelt your name wrong) is the sweetest person. Both of my girls loved her. She is super sweet and had such a welcoming and pleasant personality. My little one loved the show while cooking. The food was amazing. Overall we all enjoyed our dinner and the night out!
This place rules. Absolutely one of the top 3 restaurants I’ve been to. Super clean and the food was fantastic and tasted very fresh! If I’m ever in the area again I will definitely be back.
Really unique place for our little slice of Texas. Our chef must have been tired, hungover, or unmotivated as he didn't exhibit much in the way of showmanship, (unlike other tables!), but the food was excellent. The "storm" was a cool suprise, too.
Stopped by for a quick bite while charging our Tesla, and I'm so glad we did! Food is excellent and the ambiance can't be beat. They have an inside rainstorm! Our server was attentive, drinks were never empty. Highly recommend!
We went for Mother’s Day. It was great food and service. Loved the atmosphere. The thunder storm and rain was fun to see.
We had a wonderful time eating at kabuki. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. The atmosphere is super cool with the grills in a boat that they use effects to look like a thunderstorm. The food is always wonderful. I can't wait to go back!
Food was great. Our cook was fabulous. Everything was perfect
Love this place Don't be surprise when you walk into this restaurant. You will get a nice surprise. Service was very good. We order sushi, udon (not on the menu but you can order) and fried rice with steak but forget to take a picture. Only one thing this place to replace menu book. Its need some pictures and revise format.
This was REALLY good food!!! I had the thicker of the two steak dinners and my husband had the chicken dinner ... we both opted for the fried rice ... spring rolls for appetizer ... Meiomi Pinot Noir ... We're just in town for one night driving through to Colorado and wish this place was local to us!
Great food and experience. The scallops and shrimp were wonderful. We were not expecting the mid-dinner rainstorm to happen inside the restaurant. That was a fun experience.
From the moment we walked in, our experience was fantastic. The hostess to the chef, everyone was super friendly and professional. The food, the absolute best! You definitely dont want to pass this place up for sure.
If you want a fun experience, delicious food, and great service, make sure to check out Kabuki Romanza! Time and time again, this place does not disappoint, it is also a great place to take your kids as the water features are incredible. We love the Sushi Pizza, and a few of our absolute favorite rolls are the Samurai Roll & the No-Name Roll. They also have great Tuna & Yellowtail Sashimi.
This was a fun place with great food! The amount of food was generous. The flavors delicious. And I loved the ship decor/ambiance.
Just love this place especially when we have family gatherings it's our go to. Keep up the good work. The hostess Alec is a very pleasant young man.
We’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Chefs are always very entertaining and the food is very very good, even when they’re slammed busy.
We always have a great time here. The chefs and servers are wonderful, food is good, the kids love the "rain storm". Outside could use some love but the rest is great ❤️
Nothing beats Kabuki! Still my favorite. We tried the new Japanese steakhouse in town and it doesn't come close to Kabuki! Rico is incredible and she makes sure everything is top notch! Still the best! Amarillo has a gem.
I remember the original Kabuki location across town. As a kid, it was a magical place to walk over the bridge to your hibachi table and the shows were always fantastic. Even though this "new" location isn't as intimate as the other one, they still have great ambience and the best friend rice I have ever had in my life. I wish I still lived in Amarillo to enjoy it.
A fun restaurant to go to in Amarillo! On the weekends, there is a bit of a wait because they are so busy, but it is worth it. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu has many options and prices are reasonable. The entrees are huge, certainly enough for two adults! They have a cool thundershower show that is done approximately every 30 minutes or so. The location is conveniently located on the west side just off of I-40 and Soncy, and there is ample parking. I would definitely go back and recommend others to visit as well.

Kabuki has been a fixture in Amarillo for at least the last 20 years. Conveniently located off I-40, Ample parking. When I am in town, this is my go to place for sushi. Excellent service. I prefer…
I absolutely love Kabuki, but lately I have noticed that their food portions are not what they used to be. The food is still very good, and the cooks are amazing! Don't much care for their new hours but would still suggest this place.
Food was good I ordered tepan yaki steak I wish the cuts would have been cut smaller but the food over all was cooked great! Service was ok didn’t know they add the tip to the ticket. They sat us right away but waited an hour to have food cooked. I thought by opening at 2pm they might still allow lunch special since everything is way over priced but nope! Haven’t eaten Japanese steakhouse in about a year I guess it was worth it? For 3 people ticket was $107 and we just ordered a chicken, steak and chicken/steak all with rice and 2 drinks and a water? You decide 🤷🏽♀️
We went recently for a bunch of birthdays in the family. Seeing my step kids' faces light up during their first hibachi experience is something I'll cherish forever. My only complaint was the bland rice. I should've asked for some soy sauce & Sriracha; it was odd that none were presented on the table. The steak and chicken and mochi were DELICIOUS
Very much enjoyed the food and atmosphere. There was a long wait to get the chef to our grill, but they had been playing catch up when about 4 different tables (table is mixed groups equaling 8 people) walked in near the same time, so it was understandable. Plus, the waiters and waitresses offered free desserts and such to those who were last to arrive and, therefore, waited longest. Our chef was VERY entertaining, and the food was perfect for us.
The service was fantastic! The food was better than average but a little pricey. The bathroom was freezing! There was a sewer smell outside of the bathroom but not in the bathroom. Overall everything was clean and nice.
Ok, let us start with atmosphere. I love the ship theme around the hibachi grills, and my kids loved the rain storm every half hour. If that alone were what I was judging I would have given 5 stars, but it is not sadly. So we arrive around 7:40 and ask for first available for 5. Not easy, but not hard. We are seated after a normal wait time. No one, comes to our table to let us know they are even thinking about us until another 15 minutes later. Finally the usual bartender is assigned to us and redeems the service. It took another good 15 to 30 minutes to get our dinners. My wife said her shrimp was warm at best. The food was not worth what we had to go through. I would go back but sit at the grill next time.
This place is a definite must to visit. The detail to the decor inside was very well done. Inside there is a "boat" which is where the tables to eat at located. The boat seemingly sits on a river that surround the boat. There are light and sound effects that simulate a thunderstorm. And they even have water fall into said river when it "rains" Such a cool experience for all especially the little ones.
Going to a hibachi restaurant most people want the experience of an interactive chef who's going to flip shrimp into your mouth, twirl his cutlery, etc... Well our chef did not. It was a little disappointing. The food was excellent though!
The whole experience is actually pretty cool. The atmosphere was energetic but soothing. The main seating area is actually inside a wooden ship. There is even a makeshift storm that rains around the ship. The food was good and the service was okay but a little slow. We ordered sushi first: Monkey Balls and a philadelphia roll. Salads and soups were brought out eventually. I also ordered a glass of plum wine. It's sweet if you've never had it and I would totally recommend it. The cook was attentive and fun. I ordered the hibachi chicken and it comes with fried rice and veggies. The food was delicious and so was the wine. There is also srating outdoors in a small beautiful patio. There is a sushi bar for those who don't care for hibachi/tepan food. This was our third visit here.
The food was fantastic. We had to ask our server for drinks and other things several times before they were brought to the table. The cook had very little personality and didn't look happy to be there. There was a bad mildew, musty smell from the rain shower about the ship.
Hostess/ server was sweet. Cook was kinda big Ego like... food was very good.... it was my 1st time to eat Jap d Food. Loved the lightening/rain on boat experience... was a little on the warm side for me... so wair light shirt.
Great atmosphere, staff was very inviting and friendly. I ordered chicken 🐔 shrimp 🍤 salmon 🐟 and a California roll sushi 🍣. Unfortunately the proteins were over cooked and my sushi came out mid meal. I will be returning to see if they can redeem themselves. It was pleasant experience and the meal did have lots of flavor.

The rice is flavorless. Added ginger and teriyaki and soy. Still Horrible. They don't have salad anymore. The chef was lifeless. Gave two stars cuz the zucchini was good. Never again for us.

We were there with a large group. It took 45 minutes for drink orders to be taken, then it was about 50 more minutes before a chef showed up at our table. The food was cooked well and tasted fine, but from the time we sat down to the time our checks were brought out was well over 2 hours.
Shoving 8 adults and a child at one table is crazy. I would love to have room to eat my food without being squished elbow to elbow with strangers or be up against the food cart they roll between tables. No reason to have that many people at one table.
This place has good food and fantastic service. Decor and water features need to be improved.
Beautiful place, but the food was a bit bland for me. The yakitori was very good! It's off-menu, btw. The clear soup was good, but the salad wasn't as sweet as the ginger dressing usually is. The sukiyaki steak was pretty plain and the veggies a bit watery. I got the steamed rice which is hard to do bad on. Overall an okay meal, but the experience seems fun with the hibachi chefs and beautiful decor. Great yakitori though!
The food is good and the portions are good. It's a bit pricey. The restaurant was so hot we were all fanning and sweating the entire time we were there. The service wasn't terrible, but they added …
The water show was just the best part red sausage tuna was top notch!! Good to people
Went for my son’s birthday & was told 20-30 minute wait, so we waited…2 other groups walk in & were both seated before us. So I went and asked the hostess how much longer & she said they were cleaning our table, 30 minutes later we still were not seated! So a 1 hour wait thus far, hostesses seemed to have no clue & didn’t say anything…so we left & went elsewhere. Was a bummer, because it was a special treat my son was looking forward too.
Had to wait 1.5 hours for a table even though we were told 45 minutes. Bigger groups that came after us were seated before us. When our buzzer went off the first time another groups buzzer also went off. They chose to put more time on our buzzer and seat them instead. Hibachi chef took over 30 minutes to come over and when he did, the grill wasn't even on. So, we had to wait ANOTHER 10 to 15 minutes. No fire show like the kids were hoping for/expecting based on other Hibachi grills they have been to. Sons food never came. When I asked about it I was told the kitchen is closed so he won't be getting his food. They didn't comp us the meal even though he only got fried rice, but gave the kids free desserts. We got there at 7:15 and didn't finish eating till 10:30. Ambiance was great! Good was great! All of the wait staff and chefs were very nice. Do NOT take your kids here for dinner. You will likely be waiting way longer than what they tell you. If you do take kids I would suggest getting there at 4 or 5. Even if we don't have the kids, that's the time we will be going if we ever choose to dine here again
This place can be extremely overwhelming and uncomfortable if you're sensitive to flashing lights. It's also not very relaxing on busier days with the thunder and rain sounds in the background along with the usual restaurant noise. Wouldn't recommend visiting with a small party as they will seat you with other parties
Fried rice for dinner is additional. Soup & salad was okay. The cook made my steak well done when requesting medium, fried rice was bland, presentation was the least energetic or enthusiastic I’ve seen, & the waiter forgot certain request before we left the restaurant. We did get seated quicker than expected. Inconsistent taste, service, & prices this go-around.
So went to Amarillo on Friday 14, 2024 arpund 6pm stopped to eat here. As I'm sitting there looking thriugh menu I felt something hit my arm and as I looked down it was some greasy black stuff. Come to find out it was coming from the too of the vent they have and was discusting. I let waitress know and manager moved us to another spot. Manager also said they would be giving me a discount. After eating didn't get no discount and my son noticed I had that black stuff on my bottom left side of ny new shorts I bought staining them now smh. I let manager know and she said she was so sorry and asked about if I got discount and of course I told her NO the waitress never put it on ny ticket. I wonder how many times this stuff has fell on peooles food and them eating it being so dark in that room is disgusting. Manager wrote down ny number and said owner would give me a call and guess what never received a call as I expected. Never will i eat at this place again! I also have pictures for proof if anyone wants to see that nasty stuff!
I took a party of 6 in. We arrived at 6:10, weren't seated for two hours, watched tables come in after us and get a chef before, and package left-overs before our chef even arrived. We didn't receive food until well after 9. The owner threw the server under the bus, said she was slow putting our order in. Regardless of why, it happened and it was on their staff. Then, to top off the entire experience they added 18% auto-grat on top of it all. The food was good, the chef good, the experience awful.
Too hot room temperature. They go without proper air conditioning to save money. Infants and toddlers will really struggle to not get sick in here. Health concern on that matter. Food is still real good and friendly service. But kept seeing everyone having to fan themselves. The greedy owner Is turning the thermostat up to keep the place from cooling and save on electricity. Be careful about eating here. Has been like this ever since COVID hit.
Usually this place is on point BUT the waitress got mine and my husband's order wrong. I've been there multiple times and get the same thing. I know what I ordered and to be honest the cook repeated it back and I didn't understand her...BUT....there were several mistakes across the table. Then I was over charged. Also the cooks have a certain order the food is made in and that wasn't right either. Bad experience all the way around. Also men's restroom has a man on the sign and women's has a man and a woman. I won't be back. Thought texas had this gender thing figured out. Never noticed it before I was just pissed the whole time. Food was excellent just the order of presentation and what we ordered was incorrect.
We were at a grill by the front door and it was freezing the whole time! We even zipped our coats and put our hands in our pockets to get warm. I told 3 different staff members we were freezing. The food got cold as soon as it hit our plates. So a $65 meal was miserable. Never again!
I was not impressed with the little show they do while cooking the food. And let's not talk about the cross contamination, with veggies cooking on one end, shrimp in the middle, steak on the other end with chicken next to it and only one spatula to flip raw chicken then serve veggies and ewwww im getting sick again just to think of all the experience. On another note, the tip for a waiter that we had to call on constantly to get us water, silverware, or anything we needed. It was one waiter for a party of 2 tables. So yeah. Not going back. I did speak with manager about tip and she said all I can do is talk to waiter to do a better job next time. There won't be a next time for me!!!
Place got busy shortly after we arrived. Waited 20 minutes to give our drink orders after sitting. We gave appetizers and meal orders at this time. Another 20 before we ever received drinks. Food arrived approximately 1 hour after we sat down COLD. Shrimp, steak was extremely overcooked, dry and cool. Only warm thing on our plate was the veggies. We left 75% of our food because it was nasty and cold and we are visiting with no way to warm it up ourselves. 20% off the entire tab for the mess we dealt with. Left hungry. Would not recommend.
This place used to be great with fantastic service and food. Now they don’t seem to care. Limited hours and service times, such as ordering take out changes without notice. Too independent without a mindset of customer service! Atmosphere is ok but can’t overcome all the other negatives.
Was not happy. They take advantage of large party to charge automatic gratuity. But you get lousy service. They might of been good before no more and menu b says rice comes with dinner. You assume it…

The rudest female manager EVER! Never felt so unwelcome like we did this evening! We just turned in our buzzer and told her we were taking our business elsewhere!! NEVER GOING BACK!!!
The food is extremely over priced. I wouldn’t have minded if the food was worth it. The food had no flavor whatsoever I mean the veggies did (burnt). The ginger for hibachi was awful, the salad dressing, and even the soup weren’t satisfying. The chef didn’t even attempt a show he barely said 2 words to us. Not even a flip of a spatula. The server was nice but not very attentive. Definitely not worth the $100 dollars we spent for 2 people. I’m not a fan.
Me and the wife went for dinner. Was a little busy. We were seated quickly. However waited 10 minutes before anyone came to table. Our waitress got our drink orders and gave us the nastiest menus I've every seen. Dirty, sticky, and dried food inside them. I wanted to leave at that point, but we didn't. Ordered our food, it came out at reasonable time. Had to return my steak, asked for rare. Got well done. Food was ok. The other issue was our waitress, extremely unprofessional, rude. Acted as she didn't want to be there. Gave her a 10% tip, which I wanted to leave zero. This place needs some serious renovations. And deep cleaning. We won't be back! Must better places such as ; Tokyo's, Sumo's.
Took 1 hour to get our food after being seated. Waiter said they was behind on to go orders , so seated customers had to wait then charged 14 dollars to add shrimp to combination order. People seated close to us 20 min after us was served at the same time. Would have been better to wait an be seated at grill table
This place may be good, but I couldn't tell you. We waited for over an hour total at the grill. We placed our order, received our soup and salads, but they skipped tables for the main food. We would have waited an additional 30 min to hour to eat making it a total of 2hrs + The waitress was great but not sure what happened. When we asked for the manager, he took his time to come. The family next to us left first then us. Manager just said "sorry". And they were not even busy! My family and I will never return!!
I was very disappointed. I ordered the Philadelphia roll topped with masago. And a Tonkatsu ramen to go. I was watching the chef make my roll, first he had the rice and seaweed laid out and then grabbed it and tossed it. Strange. When i first got my roll, it looked great! But it wasn't wrapped tightly enough and every piece i was getting was falling apart. Also, the rice was a bit hard. I have had sushi many a times, this was definitely not fresh. Then, as soon as i put the last piece in my mouth. I noticed a fruit fly on the leftover rice on my plate. Now onto the Ramen. It had decent flavor, as far as the broth goes it could have been a bit more savory. The pork was like rubber though. And the egg was fully cooked. These soups usually call for a semi hard boiled egg. Nope. At the end of my meal, i let the waitress know and she asked if I wanted to talk to my manager. I did not have time to explain the entire ordeal. So i said no but please let her know. She let her know and the manager never showed. I know i said I didnt want to talk to the manager, however, any good manager knows you go anyway even if it is just to apologize. I never expect to get my bill adjusted, but the waitress (although very friendly) should have at least tried. The bill for my soup and roll was a total of about $21. Not worth the price in my opinion. I truly hope that this was just an isolated event. But still, i was not hapy with how it was handled.
This restaurant used to be one of my all time favorites, but lately it’s been decreasing in quality, atmosphere, and customer service. I have been trying to eat here for the past three years and every single time my family and I go, they tell us they don’t have any regular seating available, just grills. We don’t want to eat with strangers :/ It’s unfortunate because we make the trip out here looking forward to the meal just to end up going somewhere else because they won’t let us sit at regular tables. Put up a sign on the doors or a comment online stating that only the grill will be available or something….
Took 2 hrs to get our food. Slowest service ever!
We are frequent diners/reviewers of this dining institution. We have had amazing experiences here over the years, including our kiddos being able to experience an amazing birthday dinner each year. However, this year was different. We called the day before to make sure we could have our son's favorite chef handle our table, like we do every year. We were ensured that he would be available. This particular chef was the deciding factor on whether or not my son chose Kabuki or Volcano Korean BBQ for his birthday dinner. This and the fact the Kabuki has awesome sushi. When we arrive (for early lunch) we were told by the front hostess that we may or may not be able to have my son's favorite chef host our table. "OK, I thought, maybe we will get him anyway". We proceed to order our son some sushi, (which was forgotten and never delivered.) Our son's requested chef was not our chef that day. (Even though I called the day day before and was reassured) I figured it was due to the fact that our chef knew the other 2 people who dined at our table and completely ignored our order and the fact that it was our son's birthday. I had to track down our waiter, who was talking to the waitress at the bar for probably a good 10 mins in order to cancel our sushi order. We then had a measly celebration for our son when I had to remind the waiter that it was ours son's birthday. This was so disappointing. I cried. As much as we pay to eat as this establishment I would think that there would be a different level of customer service. We eat here frequently. Definitely going to consider a new birthday tradition. If chefs are not available for dine by request, tell me when I call the day before!!!! This entire establishment let me down! ************trial run # 2 on 4/12/2025 (10 months after my previous review) so my husband, daughter and I dined here to try again. No birthdays have been had here since my last review due to poor service. We arrived and were told there was a 20-30 min wait (normal) We had some drinks from the bar while waiting. We were seated and a woman came to our table to take drink and sushi requests. We ordered. She came back shortly to ask about soup and salad. We told her that our We would like both soup and salad and that our daughter would prefer 2 soups instead. She brought our soup first (1 soup per person, no salad) She brought our sushi next. We had no sauce, no napkins, nothing to eat our sushi with, no salt or pepper or anything on our table and she disappeared. Our chef came out to start cooking. He noticed we had no chopsticks and that my daughter was eating sushi with her hands so he found her some chopsticks. After he started cooking and realized he needed soy sauce, he found our waitress and confronted her. After he spoke with her, I spoke with her and quickly asked about our salads again and my daughters 2nd soup. She assured me she would bring them along with our drinks. (It literally states on the menu that soup and salad are included!) Our chef continued cooking and was amazing. He was personable and great with our daughter. When our waitress finally returned, she brought our drinks but no salad or soup was in sight. However the table next to us was being fully served with soup, salad, the works, etc. When our meal was almost complete, she finally came back and asked if we still wanted our salad. I declined and was amazed she had the audacity to ask after such a long time. I am honestly over this place. We spend good money (not to mention this was my redemption chance for this restaurant) and we seem to strike out with service each time. The food is decent but not enough to save my review. Too bad Sakura closed. At least they could bring my food. The grill atmosphere is not enough to save my review for kabuki. I remember the good days when the restaurant was off of I -40 and western and it was consider one of the high class places to eat. Service was top notch. The owners need to take a step back at the money gouging and remember those times, and maybe then, they will be more successful.
This place is really going down hill. Our server was fast & attentive but the building is looking rundown & the quality of food is decreasing. It was so cold in the building that we just asked for our food to go because it was cold within 5 minutes of being plated. It was ridiculously cold in the building & only 35° outside. No heater? As for the food, the rice was still hard in the middle & the cook went very heavy on the pepper, the zucchini was undercooked, bean sprouts were given to other tables but not to ours, steak was a bit tough & they ran out of salads. So disappointed in the quality of food.
Disappointing to say the least. If you want flavorless burnt food you’ve found the perfect spot. Couldn’t tell if the ginger sauce had a chemical taste or if it was onion flavoring that was so over powering that you didn’t want to eat it and the yum yum sauce (paid extra) that’s supposed to be on the sweeter side had a hot spice flavor to it. So many things were so off with this place. The quality of food does not match what we paid for this meal. So glad this was not my first time eating hibachi or I’d never try another one again:(
Service was awful, staff was not attentive at all. Took over 10 minutes after being seated to get drinks. Food was not seasoned/ had no flavor. Our waitress never asked us about our food. The worst food I've ever had. Along with horrible service. Would not recommend to anyone. The rain shower was pretty cool. Total time there was almost 2 hours. They didn't have salads. Soup came about 2 minutes before the food. We requested sushi & they said they weren't serving sushi tonight, but then brought some to the table right next to ours. So disappointing. Will not go back.
Mmm, do not recommend this place if you are hungry. Sunday: We came at 19:15, were said that we will be set around 19:45-20:00… waiting - the place were not over crowded, there were several empty tables, so we were waiting. Finally we were set at 20:35, our kids were exhausted and sleepy, we said we are ready to order, waited more, nobody came to us in next 10-15 minutes, even with water ((( So… what were the actual chance to eat? We left hungry and frustrated
I usually go here every year for my birthday, and recently upon going I think I will never eat there again as the food was uncooked my father had food poisoning as well, the chef seemed like he hated his job and did not want to be there, the rice severely crunchy, half the stuff they are known for we did not see, and for the ticket to 100$ plus for two people with just fried rice is absurd. Terrible place won’t be long before they shut down with all these better hibachi’s coming up.
This place has gone downhill and the quality is horrible because the owner wants to sell the whole place. Overpriced, bad service, and bad food.
Went there tonight was seated and had our drink orders taken without realizing we weren’t given a sushi menu. 20 minutes later our drinks arrived and we asked for a sushi menu. We were then informed that they couldn’t take any sushi orders because they were behind. So we asked to pay for our drinks. The ticket for drinks was six dollars and some change. We paid with a 10$ and the waitress came back to thank us for coming in but didn’t bring any change. My wife asked for our change and the waitress left to get it. She came back with three dollars and no change. I understand being behind but then you fail to mention that sushi is off the menu, take forever to bring out drinks, don’t bring change and then don’t bring ALL of the change?! They weren’t even busy. On the entrance side there were two other tables with customers seated. And about half of the grills had ppl seated at them. —DO NOT RECOMMEND—
UPDATE: I left a bad review on the Facebook profile and instead of being a LEGITIMATE business, they BLOCKED me 😂😂 Dishonest Wait Times & Zero Accountability If I could give zero stars, I would. We were quoted a 45-minute wait at Kabuki, put our names on the list, and were told they’d call us when our table was ready. Since we have two little ones, we waited in the car and went inside around the 40-minute mark. For the next hour and a half, we checked in with the hostess multiple times and were repeatedly told, “You’re up next.” Yet, every time a table opened up, someone else was seated instead. Two hours total of waiting while table after table was sat ahead of us—no explanation, no apology, just blatant disregard. When we finally asked to speak to a manager, all she could say was, “Sorry, we’re busy.” No attempt to make it right, just a brush-off. Had we been given an honest wait time, we would have happily gone down to Saltgrass and actually enjoyed our evening. Instead, we wasted two hours watching other people get seated while our kids grew increasingly restless. Absolutely unacceptable. We won’t be back.
The food here is ok but pick literally any other Asian restaurants in town and they would be better and less expensive. Not to mention the entire overall atmosphere is ruined by the Trump merch display case up front. Keep your political affiliations at home and stick to food.
Horrible on my birthday we made a reservation and it took them 30 min after our reservation to set us we warned them it was 21 people they gave us sets for 16 them the owner yelled at us and told each person where they where allowed to sit(like sets) not pleased and they guy who did our cooking did not talk to us once and he got hot oil in my eye and did not say one thing DONT GO IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE I would recommend TOYKO they are far betterHorrible on my birthday we made a reservation and it took them 30 min after our reservation to set us we warned them it was 21 people they gave us sets for 16 them the owner yelled at us and told each person where they where allowed to sit(like sets) not pleased and they guy who did our cooking did not talk to us once and he got hot oil in my eye and did not say one thing 2/10 DONT GO IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE I would recommend TOYKO they are far better
This place was probably really good 10 years ago. Now the tables are nasty. Needs a deep cleaning. Food is bland. Rice was dry. Service was very very slow. Do yourself a favor find a different place to get hibachi, this place is dying. Very disappointed I spent $286 on a meal that Had no taste.
The atmosphere was great, and I really liked the themed setting. I’ve been here once before, but unfortunately, today’s service was disappointing. The chef did not make the experience entertaining, which is an essential part of the service we were paying for. I was charged for a “share plate” but was served the same quantity as the rest, I literally only shared some fried rice and chicken with my 3 year old daughter, not to mention being charged for a kids water $1.50 which was the same “tap water” most of us drank!! Also our waiter took my wife’s order incorrectly and brought us something completely different from what she had asked for. When we pointed out the mistake, he admitted it was his fault but said that we still had to pay for the incorrect item as well as the correct one if we still wanted it. Ridiculous!!! Definitely the last time I come to this circus.
