Excellent food!!! We ordered a vegetarian combo and it was incredible. The restaurant has awesome decor and nice service. Even has a little store with items from Ethiopia region. Loved the traditional music. Highly recommend going here.
Delicious food! The vegetarian for two is what we had and it’s a great way to get to taste a few dishes. The flavor is rich and sweet here is some spice if you like it.
I ordered a vegan combo and it was amazing. You can tell they put their hearts into what they do. Wonderful food and people!
Surprising gem. Owners pay excellent attention to detail and service. Food is great with a broad, tasty offering including all sorts of meats and vegetarian dishes.
A wonderful and delicious hidden gem of Amarillo's Worldly Cuisine options. Try it once and you'll be back again and again.
Such good food. This felt so homey and welcoming and was absolutely delicious. We got the meat platter for one and the veggie platter for one. It’s enough to feed three. Their tea was also good- a bit sweet for me but perfect for my mother.
I love this place. Great food and great service. Yall should check it out if youre looking for something delicious and unique. ❤️🎉
The food was delicious! It is a small shop ran by the owner, who is very nice! She'll give you recommendations and come check in to ensure your meal is well served. I'd recommend the combo plates as they have multiple options to try and don't forget to add a Ethiopian coffee to complement your meal experience! Definitely recommended if you're looking for something unique, traditional and different from your typical fast food or bbq options in town
Ethiopian food is always good. No exceptions here. Fair prices. Nice lady. All vegetarian dishes are also vegan. Dinish wot: 9/10 Timtimo: 10/10 Hamli: 10/10 Alicha kawlo: 8/10 Green bean and carrot: 9/10 Negus: 8/10 Wanted to get shiro, but was sold out, so probably also very good.
A true taste of home! Marhaba Eritrean and Ethiopian Cuisine and Market is a hidden gem and a comforting slice of East Africa right in the heart of Texas. From the moment you walk in, the warm hospitality make you feel like you're back home. The injera is fresh and perfectly tangy, and the variety of dishes—from doro wot to tsebhi—are rich in flavor and authenticity. You can tell the food is made with love. The market is also well-stocked with hard-to-find ingredients and cultural items. Whether you're Habesha or just love bold, flavorful food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
This is a must try. My husband and I came here on a date night and ordered the meat combo for two and coffee. Dinner was an incredibly fun experience. This was my first time to be encouraged to eat messy foods with my hands! The main dishes were unique and flavorful, and the Injera Bread was spongy and delightful. The coffee was a very cool experience too. We were brought out the beans while she was roasting them and then served a very dark and delicious shot of Ethiopian coffee. Can’t wait to come back!
Amazing experience of great homecook meal feel. The meal was very tasty! We got a family style platter with the most popular chicken, beef, lamb and lentil dishes served with Injira bread.
Loved the food. The service was friendly. And the atmosphere was relaxing and interesting at the same time. I found myself smiling the entire time.
This is an absolute gem for representing diversity of cuisine. Tried the veggie sampler and split between two adults and two younger kids. Now will find it difficult on which single vegetable plate to choose given they were all fantastic. Have no good reason why I waited so long to try Marhaba but I can now confidently say that every day that I waited was time lost. Wonderful in every way !

really love shopping at this Habesha store! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They always have fresh injera, spices, and all the traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean products I need. The store is clean, organized, and feels like home. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Habesha items!”
We ordered a 5-dish vegan entree, and the taste was amazing! Zaid, who served us, was polite and confirmed that the "vegetarian section" is vegan. The dish came quickly, the service was excellent. Zaid gave us time to enjoy the food and finish the meal without interrupting our eating or trying to take away plates while we're still eating. I Definitely recommend Marhaba to everyone!
Wonderful Ethiopian Cuisine. We are vegan, and love a variety of spices. Ethiopian food is a very healthy choice and comes with a delicious spice array. The service is very friendly...and will help you if this is your first time. Dishes are prepared and served on a injerra bread base, with additional injeera. The injerra is used to gather a portion by hand...to eat in a traditional way. If you prefer silverware, it can be accommodated...but enjoy it traditionally, if you can. If you're like us...abd looking for a delicious and healthy meal...this place should be on your list.

Great visit! Loved the food, of course, but the atmosphere was great too. They have little scenes set up around the restaurant that make it feel like you are actually visiting Ethiopia. Definitely worth checking out. I'll be going back again!
Tibsi wasn’t available, so we ordered the Meat Combo for Two instead. It was our first time trying Injera, and it was unexpectedly sour. The coffee set was pretty and had a unique taste. Next time, I’ll call ahead to check food availability. Glad we tried something new.
I've been wanting to try this place as this food tends to be very friendly to healthy and veg dishes. I was not disappointed and it has taken years since the first and my last experience in an Ethiopian restaurant and I couldn't wait and it all delivered! I hope to return again and again... Only concern was the extremely slow and unattentive service. The lady was nice enough....but kept disappearing into the kitchen where more staff sounded like socializing and chatting and took forever in between visits. Seriously seemed like a half hour between visits.

We have eaten at Ethiopian restaurants before. I’m sorry to say that Marhaba Eritrean and Ethiopian Restaurant was a disappointment. The food was lacking in taste. The beef was dry and chewy. The chicken was unappetizing. Service was OK but I was surprised that they didn’t allow my wife to pray in their restaurant. This restaurant serves halal food so I have reason to suspect that they understand Muslim traditions. My family were the only customers they had but they refused to allow my wife to pray her midday prayers on their premises. They claimed someone might object. Maybe … if they had any customers besides us. Better tasting food and a more gracious attitude would help. We won’t be back.
