The owners offered us a wonderfully warm welcome in the relaxed setting of Al Baraka. We had the chicken with almonds and sumac and the lamb with almonds and rice and both were absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back.
As someone who lived their entire life in Palestine… I love coming here! The food tastes like I’m in Ramallah 🇵🇸 it’s so delicious!! We discovered this place less than a year ago and let me say every dish I’ve had here is as good as the next so far no disappointments. My husband had the ‘Kibeh Labanya’ hasn’t stopped talking about it lol, their humus & falafel is the best, and during Ramadan last year a friend hosted an Iftar here and they made the most delicious rice dishes from Maklouba to Kabsa to Grape leaves, it was a gorgeous spread of so much variety and goodness. 10/10 recommend this restaurant, you won’t regret it!
This place is absolutely amazing. Easily my new favorite restaurant and I don’t say that lightly! The food is authentic and delicious. It reminded me of my childhood meals, but somehow even better. They also have vimto, and the decorations were beautiful. Everything came out hot with perfect flavor and the service was excellent. We got moukhia, mansaf, and sambousek. Both the chicken and lamb were falling off the bone. Everything was above and beyond expectations. I hope this place is open forever.
Authentic Palestinian food prepared by a lovely Palestinian family. My favorites were the kousa makhshi, which is stuffed zucchinis cooked in a yogurt sauce, and the tabbouleh. Loved the kousa so much, ordered an extra one to take home. The service was incredible and they included complimentary pickled veggies. We drove hours to get here and it was well worth it.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! hands down one of the best Middle Eastern spots I’ve ever been to. The food tastes like home fresh, flavorful, and cooked with real care. The staff treat you like family, always smiling and making sure you’re happy with your meal. The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, you can taste the love in every bite. Highly recommend this place a true gem in Anaheim! + they are on DoorDash now 😉
This was genuinely like top five best meals of my life. Hani was so kind and took such good care of us. Everyone on the staff was so welcoming and inviting and treated us like family. The staff gave us so much wonderful complimentary food and answered all of our questions. The food was incredible, by far the best hummus I’ve ever tried. And the okra was perfectly cooked and delicious. The Shish barak was so incredibly good too. I cannot recommend this place enough, it’s a must try! Worth the drive from LA!
Above and beyond service, the food was awesome. The service was amazing and the vibe was wonderful. Definitely recommend this for everyone who’s looking for intake Shawarma and a great vibes. I’m coming back with my friends.
This is an exceptional restaurant with delicious home-made and flavorful dishes. The flavors and presentation stand out as well. The owners of the establishment are also amazing hosts. Highly recommend.
The Best Iftar Buffet – A Heartwarming Middle Eastern Experience This Palestinian-owned restaurant offers one of the best iftar experiences you can find. The owners are there working with their team, warmly welcoming every guest with genuine hospitality. From the moment you arrive, it feels more like being invited to a generous house gathering than dining at a restaurant. The buffet is a true celebration of Middle Eastern food—rich in flavor, variety, and tradition. Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious. From a wide selection of appetizers to hearty main dishes, there’s something for everyone, across all generations. The quality and taste of every item speak volumes about their care and authenticity. Their dessert selection is especially unique and traditional, offering sweets you won’t easily find elsewhere. They also serve tea, coffee, a range of soft drinks, and flavorful soups—all generously and continuously offered throughout your meal. Their hookah area is another nice touch for those who enjoy it. The space is large, so there’s always a comfortable spot to sit and relax. The staff consistently check on you, making sure you have everything you need. It’s clear they take pride in offering not just food, but a full, welcoming experience. We come here every Ramadan, and it continues to impress us year after year. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a warm, authentic Middle Eastern iftar.
Support this amazing restaurant as much as you can, the food is amazing. Food is like art work, amazing taste and fresh!
Amazing food!! My god! First time trying Palestinian food and I WILL be coming back 🤩🤩
Great restaurant with authentic Palestinian food! Totally recommend! Try to get there for Iftar buffet dinner during Ramadan, so you can try multiple dishes!
If you want FANTASTICLY made, authentic Palestinian/Middle-Easterm food- then this is the restaurant you want to visit! This is the kind of place that slow cooks their Kufta all night for the next day, and serves sambosik so delicious and flakey that it melts in your mouth. Al Baraka is a restaurant so good, you will never leave feeling disappointed!
This place was a lucky lookup when I was in the area with my mom. It was her birthday and being originally from Palestine and being born there we had to stop. The mansaff was awesome, meat falling of the bone. Reminded me of being a kid in Jordan, yes that good. The hummus was great as well, heavy on garlic. The kosa was also awesome. The owner is sweet and super accommodating and happy to give recommendations if you haven't had Palestinian food before. Will be back when I'm back in Anaheim.
The best destination for original taste. All their dishes are delicious and reminds me of home 🇵🇸 we tried their Mansaf, Mahshi, and Msakhan and we enjoyed them all. We come here at least once a month! They have a special dish every day including other main dishes like bamya and mlokhia.
First time customer here. To my pleasant surprise, this place has 2-3 daily specials which are home cooked meals type of entrees. A rarity in Mideastern restaurants in Southern California. Options today included okra and Qudra meat and rice that looked like Mansaf, which is their speciality as mentioned in an LA Times article / review. I picked shaikh el muhshi, Whig is stuffed baby zucchini with ground meat in cooked yogurt sauce. It came with pita bread, pickles and rice. It really tasted like home cooked. Came on a serving tray piping hot. The lady manager is very hospitable and courteous. A smalll cordial chitchat then I had to head out but happily. Good to know there is real home style entrees daily. More INTRIGUING than usual menu of other restaurants that are found. If you like Mideastern foods and cuisine, add this place to the short list. The atmosphere isn’t bad, but I could not make a distinction between is this a casual eatery or family oriented. It was mostly men who are on business in little Arabia district.
We got the IMolokhya w/ Lamb, Moutabbal, Alayet Banadoura (Tomato with onion, garlic, green chili pepper, parsley, and almonds), Msabbaha (Whole Chickpeas and Hummus topped w/ Tatbeleh and Olive Oil), Muhamara, and Torshi. Everything was so tasty. The standouts were the Msabbaha, the Moutabbal and the Alayet Banadoura. The Msabbaha was rich and delicious. The Moutabbal was perfectly creamy. The Alayet Banadoura had both a sweetness and tanginess from the tomatoes. It was so good over the rice. The special of the night was mansaf (Friday) but I want to go back on a Saturday for the musakhan. I can’t wait!!
Authentic Palestinian restaurant with delicious food! Our table ordered the dish of day with lamb, muttabal, tabbouleh, a pot of tea. It came with an interesting yogurt based sauce similar to an Indian curry, condiments like raw onion/yummy green olives and pickles as well as pitta bread!
I absolutely love this restaurant I just discovered it the other day and it’s my third time back. The mensef is so good and the lamb is cooked perfect and I tried the okra/ Bamye idk if I even spelled that right. But great customer service and great atmosphere to just come a relax they really make u feel at home. I will come back for sure all the time now.
Al Baraka is by far the best breakfast place in OC! The quality and taste is unmatched. An absolute favorite for my family. Highly recommend. The owners make you feel like you are entering their home and treat you like family. Never disappoints. Their lunch and dinner menu is just as great, taste like a home cooked meal.
Fantastic Palestinian restaurant serving dishes which casual diners may not have had before. We went on a weeknight and there were plenty of open tables. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and free parking is available nearby. Our favorite dishes were the mshakhan (half chicken dish served over a flatbread), and the sheikh el mahshi (fried squash stuffed with pine nuts, onion, and ground beef cooked in yogurt).
🇵🇸 PALESTINE (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Make sure to look over the daily specials list, which has seven very different vibrant options depending on the day you come in. Some of these you are likely not to recognize from other Levantine menus in Southern California, dishes that are usually cooked for special occasions in Palestine rather than found in restaurants. What a blessing!
Question: before I come to America, I didn’t use to break my fast in Ramadan in Al Baraka Restaurant is my fasting acceptable? Answer: InshaALLAH You’re fasting in Ramadan is acceptable, but don’t do it again. 😋
Awesome Place! Amazing People! Great authentic food ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Some of the best food I have ever had hands down. Me and my girlfriend have been coming here for a bit now have not been disappointed. Every dish has been delicious, but the Mshakan is something special ! Lentil soup is another favorite. If you’re in the area it is a must ! The owner Ali is the man ! Always nice and tells me how to properly eat the dishes since I am not Palestinian. Overall one of my favorite spots.
Oh my God! This place is a gem, the food is absolutely delicious, I’m Egyptian so I know good Mediterranean / Arabic food and Baraka does it right . We had the hummus , eggplant (misa2a3a) stuffed mahshy and labne and every thing was so good. Great service . I will surely be a regular here now.
One of the best restaurants I tried in LA, the owner is so nice and generous. I like the atmosphere. Food is delicious.
Great food, very nice hospitality
Highly recommended haney he made the food super delicious 😋 how we asked him 1000/100
Not only authentic but really realy good food Outstanding restaurant, people are very friendly everything is so delicious and the prices are very reasonable
My daughter and I have been here twice. We got the kousa and grape leaves and it was so good it has such a good flavor. We went for a second time and got mansaf and koufta. That was insanely good. We can’t wait to go back and try more of their food
We stopped to grab dinner for the family while we were on a family vacation. The owner was super nice . The food was so good . Every one enjoyed it. It felt like we were having our grandma or mom’s homemade food . Will definitely come back if we go to California for our vacation
Great food the service was fast and the shawarma was out of this world. Loved the Tahini also.
It was a bit hard to find as its tucked away in a strip mall. The place and decor are simple but nevermind that, as the friendliness of everyone and the quality of the food was outstanding. Everything tasted homemade and absolutely delicious. I cant wait to come back and try more food.
The BEST HUMMUS YOU WILL EVER EAT!!! And the nicest staff ever. I would eat here every day if I could.
Middle Eastern home cooking at its best! We were a large party, and they were OK with booking ahead. We tried most dishes and every one of them was delicious. My two favorites were the Masskan (traditional Palestinian chicken dish) and Kubbeh Lebenh (Middle Eastern). Both of these were outstanding. The ser ice was friendly and the place very homey. It's run by owners which guarantees an excellent experience every time.
want to give a special shoutout to the shawarma stand outside this restaurant which does not have its own page but serves the most phenomenal shawarma i have had in california. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 the hummus and falafel at al baraka restaurant is also amazing. my family and i had a great food experience.
It was the best food experience. The place was clean and the environment was super friendly. The place owners were very kind and welcoming. Their food feels like home olus it’s sooo tasty.
I had the falafel sandwich and Mediterranean salad. Both were excellent! I liked how the falafel was crushed in the sandwich which allowed it to soak up all the flavor of the sauce inside and made it easier to eat. The salad had a wonderful flavor of lemon juice and spices and included fresh tomato and cucumber pieces . The service was friendly and they made me feel like I was eating at the house of an old friend. Highly recommended!
Was very excited to find this place. My wife is Palestinian and she was very excited to see they had Bamya and Imlokhya. We bought some and it made her very nostalgic. I loved the flavors! We will be back to try some more items!
Authentic Palestinian food made with love & passion. Delicious & tasty. Portions are very good & filling. They have daily menu for special plates. A must try place if you are into Mediterranean food
11 out of 10. Best food i ever ate outside! Clean, plenty of food, affordable, and yummy!
Delicious food, friendly service. Highly recommend.
The karshat here are really good! Very hardy food and an overall great experience
Food amazing, Service Amazing, they took me back too Amman with the best Mansaf I have had in America. Highly recommend, do not judge this book by its cover. so worth it
Food just like at home. Thank you Limor and Shlomi for the most delicious lunch ever.
Came with my girlfriend. Food was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be coming back
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend making the trip over even in you're far away
Tasty authentic Palestinian food. Tasted amazing especially the Maqluba was the BEST. Will be coming back here again!!
Mashallah nothing but the best, love this restaurant and will forever keep eating here
Excellent clean authentic food. Kabza ( Lamb and chicken) were excellent. The sides that came with Kabza especially the tomato chilli chutney is amazing. The service is not flashy but very genuine..I asked for recommendations, it was spot on and how they served was very warm and homely. Authentic taste, quality ingredients and genuine people. Love it
احلى مطعم واحلى اكل عربي اصيل The best food and the greatest vibes, they give you a great portion for a reasonable price. I love it , been visiting since 4 years and the taste never failed me, it is always the same authenticity and quality.
Their daily specials are just like mama’s cooking. Food is always scrumptious.
This is one of the most underrated restaurants in Anaheim. We ordered a few of the Palestinian main courses and they were all amazing and authentic. The masakhan was perfect as was the kufta. Can’t believe how quickly the food came out as well. Owner was friendly. Will be back.
It was amazing and i definitely recommend each and every time i came from a tiktok video and i love it.
A more than wonderful restaurant. I advise all members of the Arab community to visit this restaurant. I wish you success.
First time trying and found that food is really good! Mnazalat eggplant is superb! Excellent friendly service. Will be back again!
Fantastic food and service! Everyone in my party mentioned how great the food was throughout the meal.
First time here as we were craving Arabic food. When I went in I was welcomed by 2 friendly gentleman, one was funny and the other was soft spoken and kind. I ordered the Kubba Laban with rice and a side of hummus and pita and wow the size was enough for me and my wife for lunch and dinner and the flavors of everything were absolutely amazing! We will definitely go again and try a new dish
We moved from Michigan years ago and have been gravely disappointed in middle eastern food here. IYKYK. Anyway, that was until we came here today. Absolutely authentic and delicious. Go here if you want true Arabic food. You won’t be disappointed.
The food is absolutely amazing, there was not a single dish that was not incredibly delicious- everything was perfect. It tastes homemade, the quality of the ingredients is good, the staff was very nice and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend the Iftar buffet for Ramadan. It will not disappoint; good variety, excellent taste of the food- worth the hour long drive for us!
It's all about food! My family and I enjoyed a delightful iftar at Al Baraka, where the food was delightful. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for serving such delicious dishes. The highlight of our experience was when the chef/cook personally visited each table, inquiring about the quality of the food. When it comes to recommending a dish, they're all good. Her warm hospitality and the genuine smile she wore, despite the long hours of cooking, left a lasting impression on us. We will undoubtedly come back. 🍽️🌟
Great experience, great food! Meals our grandma made back home. Sunday special Karshat was amazing! They have Hummus, Baba, Falafel, Foul, and Tabuli. Try the daily specials! Plus, the street food out front is great, too. Kanafi with real butter made to order and freshly sliced shawarma and fries and pickles, everything there was phenomenal!
Sweetest owners ever and the food is absolutely amazing! 10/10!! Support local businesses like these that deserve to have customers! Thank you!!
Delicious food! Excellent warm service and hospitality. They treat you like family. Definitely order family style because you’ll want to try a little bit of everything.
Tried this Palestinian restaurant from toogoodtogo in the heart of little Arabia, Anaheim. I got long grain rice, two pita, and stewed meatballs and potatoes. Most importantly, I received wonderful service with an extremely kind and warm man. He also showed me a new updated menu graphic so hopefully that will be out soon! The place is decorated warmly and invitingly. I saw families eating there at 8:30pm when I arrived. I will definitely return:)
Service was very friendly so much that we asked whether the biryani was spicy at all and he brought out a sample for us to try! The kebab plate with grilled beef was excellent-grilled with a little char but still very tender and flavorful. Lamb biryani was melt in your mouth tender with a seasoned fluffy rice. Self ordering kiosk available along with daily specials.
Al Baraka is something special. The food is amazing. Every dish feels like a classic home-cooked meal, the kind that reminds you of being at a big family dinner. There’s a warmth to the place that’s hard to find. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and everyone there is incredibly kind. It really feels like a community gathering, the way restaurants used to feel years ago. There’s also a beautiful sense of cultural authenticity, it feels foreign in the best possible way, like you’re being invited into someone’s home and traditions. It honestly feels like the kind of place Anthony Bourdain would have loved discovering. We went during Ramadan for their iftar buffet, and the entire evening was wonderful. The food was plentiful, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, and everyone in our group had a great time. It felt like a one-of-a-kind experience rather than just going out to eat. The only small problem is the parking situation, which can be a bit tricky when the other spots in the plaza are open. But honestly, it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the incredible food and the welcoming atmosphere inside. Highly recommend if you want a memorable meal and a place that feels truly special.
The best middle eastern food in Orange County the deliciousness unbelievable. I usually eat here and every time I’m surprised with the quality of the food. Today we came for Ramadan Iftar and omg soooo good verities of Dishes and dessert so delicious. The service beyond amazing. Highly recommended!
Came here post Disneyland for dinner with another family and our kids. It was our first time. The food is amazing. Must visit restaurant even if you are in LA. Molokhiya was perfect, the daily special was mahashi and it was delicious and the cheese samboosa was so good I’m dreaming about it days later.
Viva Palestina!!!
We ordered Mansaf and Kidreh, both delicious with generous portions. The food brought back memories of family gatherings in Jordan, with all the beautiful chaos of 30 relatives enjoying a meal together. The restaurant is simple and unpretentious, with Arabic classical music adding to the authentic vibe. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try – it’s worth it!
I was waiting to try the Mansaf here which is only available on Fridays! I was very pleased with the overall quality of the food. The meat was tender and the rice with toasted almonds was divine! The husband and wife are very hospitable ~ Suggestion:- Might want to turn the A/C on a little bit in the summer months, the restaurant was pretty hot inside.
Absolutely delicious food that tastes homemade. Honestly the best Palestinian food I've had in the U.S. My only disappointment was that they still sell products on the boycott list. It's especially disappointing because it's a Palestinian business not supporting the cause by simply boycotting such products.
I decided to have some Arabic food for lunch so I checked the reviews and this restaurant had good ratings and reviews, however my food wasn’t that good the hummus fetteh was the worst one I have ever had and the falafel was normal like any other place. But to be honest I don’t know if the other food is good since I haven’t tried it
Ate dinner here on Tuesday night around 6pm. Not a lot of customers at this time. It does appears to be a family run mom & pop business as other reviews stated, praising friendly service and warm atmosphere. This is a double edged sword however. The food was mostly good with sizeable portion but nothing special. As non middle eastern person, I can't judge if this has a genuine Palestinian spin but I did enjoy the falafel and the colorful rice dishes, but meats were inconsistent. They were quite dry or tasted stale. The mixed meat dish was the least impressive out of the bunch. My service experience was nonexistent. This is unfortunately a typical thing about visiting a mom & pop shop. A lack of professionalism will result in at times genuine experiences but also produce wholly unprofessional behaviors that is a head scratcher. Also communication was a challenge with, what I assumed to be, a pop of the shop taking orders and delivering food. Maybe it was a slow day. I would say overall it was ok but not sure I would regularly visit as it's not like this is the only game in town. However, I hope them the best and improve more.
My son in law ordered half lamb for Christmas Day lunch . The lamb was very small , very dry , almost burned. I think it was cooked the day before and it was warmed before serving it. The rice was too much but no flavour whatsoever, no spices , and too too much oily. I am writing this review so you will improve your cooking in the future.
I don’t mind the over priced menu but they need to be generous with food. I mean 3 stuffed squash fir 20 dollar is a rip off. Good Restaurants provide generous amount of food and customer set vice and Quality food. Please be generous with food since you over charge people .
THE OWNER AND HIS WIFE VERY NICE ONLY THE NEW SHWRMA GUY HE IS Over priced his shawarma and check your receipt before you leave the store OTHERWISE HE PUT THE PRICE HE WANTS TOO VERY VERY EXPENSIVE !or let the owner of the store charge you because the shawarma’s guy $30 for SHWRMA common very bad experience wil never come back ever !! rip off actually every where you go shawarma wrap is the most $12 not &30 ??? Over charge bad experience
Restaurants smells so bad and not to clean
The atmosphere is good but the mansaf was sour! It was no where tasting good, it was just sour rice with sour soup, not good.
The service here is really bad ,and they don’t provide a good service to the customers. In addition to that , the food is really not that good and pricy for crab plus you don’t feel about welcoming vibe. This is going to be my first and last time at the place . I really don’t advice coming at this place at all
Once you walk into the Restaurant the smell is disgusting, and they gave out the fries cold and the owner got mad as we told him that the fries were cold. Very poor service and when we asked for another dish he said to wait and just picked another dish for us that we didn't want. There was nobody in line it was only us that was waiting. Don't come here worst restaurant EVER!! The shawarma had hairs in it and they still charged us for food that we didn't touch or enjoy.
Really disappointed in this place. I stopped by for a to go side of rice to have along side dinner at the house for my toddler. After waiting what I thought was too much time for a simple order of rice, I almost walked out but I know how much my son loves rice so I waited. Once I got home and opened the box, it was French fries. If that wasn't bad enough, one of the staff members was looking at me like I was a piece of meat.
