I live in Houston and travel to Freeport for work. I wanted to surprise my wife with La Casona and orderd through the Ubereats app for pick up. I accidently showed up too early for my food pick up. The receptionist and manager were both very respectful and let me know that the restaurant wasnt ready for pickups due to ubereats/la casona pickup times. The manager without hesitation went back to the kitchen and made my order. This is why my wife and Ii miss this place.

You all are in for a treat with this hidden gem here in Angleton, our first time at La Casona Tex-Mex was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was lively with the awesome entertainment of the flat screens, to the amazing staff that greet you when you walk in. I ordered the beef fajita's and nothing is better than the loud sizzling of amazing food being brought to your table with the aromatics of meat and veggies. It was so good my son wanted my dinner! (He ordered the kids quesadilla with fries, portions were fantastic) My husband ordered the ooey gooey deep fried beef avocado which comes with a chicken tostada and needless to say every bite was luxurious and delivered fantastic flavor. Not a bite was wasted! Our server was a wonderful young lady Nuria, She was so sweet and made sure our family had everything we needed and helped with any additional questions we had. She served with a smile and grace as she tended to each persons needs with great love and care. As a previous server myself, she excelled my expectations! Our busser who was another wonderful woman named Miram? sorry if i misspelled! She was so sweet and got us additional napkins and always made sure our chips and salsa were fresh and full. If you want to find a high quality place to eat I highly recommend this place, the prices were very reasonable, the food was flavorful, and the staff was absolutely a huge blessing to our night. We will be returning to enjoy another amazing meal at La Casona very soon, this time I think I will try their Birria Tacos! -Savanna Thompson

They’re doing a lot better! Great job on staying on track!… I’ve been a patron of this restaurant since 2010. I’ve seen them go through ups and downs. Through the covid era and through relocation. I’d have to say that their food and services suffered during their transition. Currently they’re doing incredibly well with their customer service and the preparation of their Tex Mex Menu. I do visit with the family on occasion but tend to order from the bar stool after hard week at work. Great atmosphere and local company is familiar to boot. Thank you La Casona for making this small town-down home culture just a little bit stronger.

Hands down one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Brazoria County. Food is always hot and fresh and tastes great. Perfectly cooked beef fajitas that are so tender. The service is fantastic. They have great teamwork. Not to mention, the management is always coming by to check on tables, which is very rare in most restaurants today.

Douglas And Rosa were the department Managers, our server was Diana and let me tell you from beginning to the end, the speed of having everything ready for a party of 11, the quality of the food, the phenomenal service with attentiveness even in an environment that was obviously busy was a huge plus, and the beautiful presentation of the entree's were absolutely amazing for me and my fellow classmates and instructor. I definitely appreciate it all and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend it here and even the pricing was very reasonable.

Got to give 5 stars for the jovial atmosphere here. Once you step in, it feels like you've entered a "happy place". Visited this place for a work lunch. Great choice. I heard that this is a new location and that they used to be located somewhere else in Angleton before. The place looks relatively new. Very nicely decorated with vibrant colors and welcoming atmosphere. The food was very good. To be honest, it's Mexican food that you would find in any other restaurant too. But the flavors were excellent and the food was fresh. So 5 ⭐ s for that. The wait staff was friendly and quick in service. Plenty of parking spots available. I came in on a Wednesday.around 11:30 am and the place was busy by the time I was leaving. I can imagine that wait times will be long on Friday evenings and the weekend.

Excellent service from Miguel, Pedro, and the other staff. Freshly made ceviche, large taco salad with shredded chicken, fish tacos. Delicious large frozen margarita shared with a friend.

Well here we are again at La Casona Mexican Restaurant, and why not they have great food, and it looks like half my church came here for lunch today. I think that says something in itself about how good the food is here. They have such a great menu to choose to from, from nachos to a steak to bacon wrapped shrimp, to great enchiladas and tamales, it is hard to go wrong with anything you order, and I think they have some of the best waiters and waitresses, always ready to please. Ordered food thru Door Dash. Food was delivered promptly. Food was very good. The resturant failed to include a side of guacamole. I called the resturant they refused to have it delivered. Suggested I come by and pick it up. I asked them to pay a Door Dash driver to deliver it. They refused.

Cool place, reasonable prices, decent food, nothing wrong with this spot. The chips and salsa were on point.

I don't order out much and I definitely don't like delivery but there are days I have a hard time leaving my house or just functioning so delivery it is. Today was/is a low functioning day, it was also the second time I've received my order just to have an item missing. They did, however, add a second bag of chips. I don't blame the Dasher. It may not seem like much but overtime it adds up. It was just a small side. Luckily, DoorDash is refunding me for the missing item.

This place is a good place with many different good things that make it good. One of them is their food because they make it fast and flavorful. The atmosphere was good. Loved the flowers and plants, little bit of trash though. But the waiters didn't make us feel welcome, they took our order, sounded like they were taking orders from Banshees, and kind of in a hurry to be done with our order like rushing us to find something. Overall, this place is ok It has good food and cheap prices so that's why I rate this place 3 stars.

Even though they were busy we were able to be seated immediately, served our drinks and chips and appetizer immediately. Our waitress was very soft spoken so in the loud restaurant it was very hard to hear her. Three out of four meals ordered was not up to the price. Returned the quesadillas due to the cheese they used was too greasy and tasted wrong, the child’s hamburger was a half size smaller then the bun, & my chicken fajitas was very little. Only onions with the chicken and a slice of an orange on top. The tortillas tasted and felt old, they were tough. I only received one small flat chicken breast cut into five pieces on top of onions. Beautiful location and very busy... maybe we just had a bad experience or there kitchen staff was sloppy tonight. We were seated right next to the bar and the bartenders looked angry while we there. Several staff almost bumped into my daughter passing by going behind or to the bar.

Great parking. Very very loud atmosphere. Food was mediocre at best, nothing special to speak of. Drinks were over priced so was the food. $25 for 5 strips of fajita meat., onions, spoonful of guacamole, rice, beans and two tortillas. The food to dollar ratio is way off. Service was pretty impersonal and rushed. Puerto Vallarta is better in every category.

Birria Review… Let’s talk about your “Birria Tacos”. It’s not birria, it doesn’t taste like birria. It tastes like shredded beef with a little bit of salt. There’s many other places within 10, 20, 50 miles that actually DO taste like birria. I will post a picture of what a tasty birria taco looks like from Houston. Everything else was yummy.

Great food, but service was definitely not. If you pay cash, count your bills. I took the first mistake as an honest mistake even though in which to me by the looks of it was intended. Second mistake lead me to write this review, i understand it was rush hour, ive waited 25 min just for salsa and chips which is fine cause its rush hour. Another 5 minutes to change the wrong size to the right size but then gave me the wrong salsa. No biggie just frustrated how it was handled, order was handed to me then walked away without making sure it was right. So almost got charged for a smaller size order and given the wrong change. All in the same day but different times. Like i said 30 min just for salsa and chips and wrong change. Just how this was handled was frustrating.
