Looks small place but decent amount of seats and their food is awesome! I go many bars around Edison, this is one of the best place for decent drinks and BEST wings and few other items. People are nice too.

This place was absolutely fantastic. It's a blink in a blink and you'll miss it location. However, everyone was friendly and professional from security, to the bar and kitchen staff. Good music and great food. Even the pool table to clean.

My kids and us love going here. It’s usually hard to find food that our kids enjoy. This is probably their favorite. The owner and staff are so nice, too. Good big portions and very reasonable prices.

Today was my first time coming to Elixir Bar &Grill, I enjoyed the calamari appetizer. My entree Tex mex corn tortillas was delicious & the drinks were great. I have to say my entire experience here was just positive. The main waiter was Tom & he was amazing, I also like how the other waiters worked as a team & helped out. My husband & I will definitely be coming here again.

Friends and I converged here from opposite ends of NJ, and LOVED it. So sorry it's not closer because we would be here constantly! The decor is bright and FUN, the staff is all wonderful, and the food and drinks exceptional.

We came from out of town, and the staff and manager were extremely kind and accommodating. The food was fresh and delicious, with a wide selection of beer on tap. Bathroom was very clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This place is AWESOME! Locally owned, thanks so much to Manny and Sid who put so much care into an amazingly curated drink for me. I asked how they could doctor up a martini and they DID NOT disappoint. Food was incredible. Highly recommend the floutas and boneless wings, both tasted like they were made in house - the wings were battered with a unique tasting chipotle bbq sauce- YUM! They also have a generous loyalty program. We will be back VERY SOON!

Finally ate here last night. We have seen this place in passing so many times but never stopped by. Man were we missing the great food. We had vegetarian Mexican pizza for apps which was amazing. For dinner we ordered veggie enchiladas and fajitas, which were also very good. The service was excellent and the waiter who took care was really friendly. Will definitely be going back again

Stopped by Elixir for a late night drink and bite to eat. I tried their boneless wings and I was blown away. They are hands down the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back for more.

I’ve always had a great time any time I’ve come to this place with others. Love the food, drinks, and ambience. The people who work there are awesome and I also love their Snoop Dogg statue. Definitely check them out if you get a chance to!

Excellent food! Had the carne asada last time and it was cooked just right to my liking. Previous week, I had the spicy garlic chicken and they were surely a fire of delight as well. Perfect restaurant for a casual night out! My friends and I ate here for the first time last night and we all loved it. Our server was friendly and accommodating. He explained how he could tweak the dishes to make them vegetarian. He came around to check on us often! They have a diverse menu with plenty of vegetarian dishes. The food was outstanding - some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. Not too pricy! Definitely recommend checking out!

The service here is outstanding, there was a corona representative giving out free beers and the wings and enchiladas are delicious. I highly suggest the frozen prickly pear margarita. 10/10 will be coming back!

Really great food. We had the chicken tortilla soup and it was perfect...not salty and a great balance of chicken, broth, veggies and tortilla strips. The Mexican Street tacos and fajita bowl were equally great. Fresh ingredients, not overly processed, and very tasty :) Nice beer and drink selection. Very good margaritas made from their own scratch recipe. Good ambiance and live classic rock acoustic music. Will definitely come back!

Love this place! The atmosphere, service and food is excellent! Rachel, Nicole and Annie are all so nice and excellent servers. The owner is very accommodating. Never once had a bad experience and will continue to support this restaurant/bar!

Environment was friendly. My friend works here and recommended the wings which were definitely best wings I've had in a while. The empanadas were good very crisp and the food was fresh. The beer on tap was ice cold. Definitely worth stopping in for wings and beers if your in the neighborhood.

Amazing place! Our neighbors recommended this place to us, and we came here with them once and loved it. The second time we came in, two weeks later, they remembered our drinks and served us right away. Their food is amazing, especially their brussel sprouts appetizer (I am not very fond of veggies in general).

We went to Elixir to see Holy Mackerel! The service was amazing, the food was great, they have a variety of craft beers and excellent specialty cocktails. We will be back.

HIDDEN GEM!! Just moved into Edison. Me and my lady decided to check this place out on a recommendation. Nicole is AWESOME!! as well as Samantha. They are both ALL over the place. They are welcoming and always have A smile on their faces. AWESOME TEAM! When we had a question to ask they never hesitated to answer. The food is ON POINT. I'm taking food TO GO even after eating here. My Lady ordered a Cucumber Martini (pictured and by Nicole) is STRAIGHT UP according to my lady HEAVENLY. And she's ordering another one. Rachel was our waitress/ bartender and let me tell you. I have never enjoyed a dinner more than this one. The experience was so funny with our witty and hilarious server. She kept us on our toes and showed us what peak service looks like. She works most weekdays so please if you go here, ask for her you will not regret it. Found a little gem on my way up north. Great customer service and great prices. The atmosphere was a mixed crowd from young and an older crowd. The place had many activities for their customers. The people in general (customers and workers) are very welcoming and friendly. There’s parking in the back and street parking is not so bad in the area.

Another gem locally for wings and much more! The wings are the star here. Spicey garlic,hot honey or teriyaki are my favorite.. Burgers are excellent also. Tex mex food otherwise thats very good if you are looking for that. Definitely a spot to at least try.. Manny the owner is 100% dedicated to customer satisfaction!

They have a good selection of beers on tap, bottles and cans offering many options and specials. The owner was very friendly and nice .Of course they do Tuesday tacos for $6 too. Service was attentive and very friendly. Elixir has it's own parking lot and they do offer outside dining.

Gem!!! Elixir is an eye opener the moment you walk in! The decor is bright and sets the atmosphere. Our server Nicole was beyond excellent in every way. From drinks(check out the margaritas), appetizers(try the street corn or mexican pizza), entrees(shrimp enchiladas, tacos and even the burger) to dessert(fried ice cream and churros)...outstanding!!! I highly recommend and will be back again soon!

Best Tex-Mex in the Edison Area. Very flavorful food, big portions, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff. We ordered the sizzling fajitas, a burrito entree, and both were excellent. They have a nice selection of drinks also. We will definitely go back.

Bar with really good, authentic Mexican food. The only downside was the band playing. Playing some newer songs would have been better than the standard cover band songs. It was distracting from the Yankees playoff game that was on the tv's.

I would stop back through. The menu is huge! We ended up going on a night where there was a pool tournament and poker, so seating was scarce. Otherwise looking forward to trying more food from here!

Just moved here. Food was good. It was 11pm so actually food was great for that hour and fast. Bartenders and back house were very attentive i did not go 5 or 10 mins without almost everyone checking on me. Late nite happy hour and I can walk here. Will be my go local place.

One of my favorite places to go. The only thing I would suggest is getting a better recipe for your guac and carnitas meat for the tacos. It needs work. Everything else is great!! Atmosphere is always on point! Great Service!

Went there after reading a few reviews with a couple of friends, I have to say that we had a good experience ,the food is very good specially the wings. The only disappointing issue was that the prices in the menu did not match the price I saw in your website menu (wings) .I told the gentleman helping us ,he stated that was old prices I suggest updating your website with the actual price, but I loved the fact that your business has discount coupons on the yelp app . The food was good, service, and atmisfier. But the drinks had to much ice and were watered down. I have a tito's and cranberry and my brother in law a jack and coke. My sister's coco loco was good. Other then that it was great.

Great environment and with friendly staff. I sat at the bar and received fast service. As a starter I had the chipotle corn on the cob which was amazing ! Although I like Mexican food, I’m not too fond of spiciness. Their corn on the cob, to me, was the right amount of spicy making it delicious and enjoyable! I went for happy hour and I got the Mango Elixierita for $6 (yum!) and I got the “dos tacos” -chicken and ground beef for $5. Honestly, the tacos to me weren’t any better than something you’d make at home for taco night. It’s the same tortillas and shredded Mexican cheese you buy at the supermarket. I feel like they could definitely do a better job with the tacos. I will definitely be coming back and trying out different things on the menu. I was very happy to find out that they show the UFC fights. My boyfriend and I usually go to BWW to watch the fight around here but I much rather have Mexican food. Sid, the bartender, informed me that their wings are to die for so I will come back for those next time ! I was also informed that there is a rewards program which is a great idea for them to do. I was excited about that for sure. There is also a DJ on Friday’s and live band on Saturdays I believe he said. Definitely a place to check out!

The service and atmosphere were really nice but the food was really average. The burrito i got was solid, but our jalapeño poppers were really suspect. They were warm on the outside and when I bit into mine it was really cold inside and had a slight water taste. This isnanstrong indication that it was froze and most likely microwaved. Chips were also a bit stale but I did not mind it, tbh. Stale enough to notice but not bad enough to ruin it. I had no issue with the chicken parm poppers but they looked like they were re-purposed as the had a slight orange tint and made me suspect they too were froze, covered in marinara sauce cheese on top of them and to microwaved. Overall, it was an okay experience.

This is a fun little bar. Only 1 pool table and a little small, but we had a group of about 10 over by the pool table and had a really great time! Staff is awesome, food is good, & drinks are good!

Just stopped by for Happy Hour. Was ok, nothing impressive but ok. Only stayed a short while as the place was uncomfortably warm. Food was tasty but a small sized portion. Might return in the future to catch NFL Sunday games as there were plenty of TV's.

Food is okay. We went for the wings because the sign outside said award winning wings, unfortunately they didn't live up to our expectations. Drinks weren't that great. Tacos were okay. We were recommended corn on the cob, I would say that was the best thing.

Food was not bad, good size portion. Nicely done fries, taco, sandwich. But do NOT get the calamari appetizer, soaked in sauce. Came on slow happy hour, drinks on sale but food really not. At shift change, 2nd waitress had attitude when we had empty glasses, looking for another round. Cute doesn't cover attitude at this field 🤗

Stopped by this place with friends after attending an event at the Convention center. We were looking for a casual lunch, and we got it! The place isn't much to look at, and the bar area can be a bit loud, but the service was friendly and the food, a variety of Mexican inspired dishes, was tasty and plentiful.

Bery nice decor, attentive friendly staff. The burrito was ok, not spectacular The blackened mahi-mahi was overcooked.

The servers were so nice and friendly, and the cashier had the most beautiful eyes and a nice handsome man. I would give them 5 ⭐ but they gave me the wrong order. I ordered a veggie chimichaga, the server even described what was in it, he even said there were extra veggies in the container but it was beans and rice instead. It was raining really bad that day, I live SB so it was a 45 min drive, I threw my receipt out so I didn't have proof.🤦🏾‍♀️ I was hungry and ate what look like enchiladas. The enchiladas were really good, I give them credit for that. I think I'll check my food next time because I'm curious to taste the chimichaga I wanted.

Elixir Bar & Grill advertise through a local mail company. So we read their ad and saw some interesting menu items. This Bar and Grill has your typical bar food but, have tex-max items. We went there during the lunch period. Not to many were still there and lot was almost empty. So we had choice of all prime spots. The bartender was also the host and waiter. A good selection of beers on tap, bottles and cans offering many options and specials. Their menu indicated homemade empanadas and the best wings in town. Well, how can you not bite on that. No pun intended. We elected to try the beef and cheese as well as the chicken and cheese. The order had three empanadas and it came with chimichurri dipping sauce. The empanadas were oily. The taste reflected that taste in the crust. Filling was average but, having tasted authentic empanadas their's failed. As for the wings, I elected the 12 piece wing Sampler, which included both boneless and bone wings. The wings were not moist but, very dried. It was disappointing and I like wings with my beer. I couldn't finish them. The lunch special, chicken enchiladas were tasty and saved the day. Service was attentive and friendly. Elixir has it's own parking lot and they do offer outside dining.

Ordered from this place tonight because we’re in town from out of state and we always like to try local places. Not sure if it was Uber Eats fault (according to their app it was not them taking long) but our food took almost two hours to be prepared and when it got here, it was completely cold. And I specifically asked for utensils and napkins- didn’t get either. Such a simple request… Very unimpressed.

The food was just ok. The description of their restaurant purports to be a mix of American and Mexican. To no surprise, neither American nor Mexican was well represented here. The appetizers were pretty good, the entrees were disappointing. It’s a local scene, the restaurant was boiling hot and they had poker tables set up for a local club to play.

Went with a group, was forced to give them a credit card even though I was paying cash. Told me I wasn’t going to be charged. Couldn’t order food if I didn’t give them a card. My card was immediately charged $10. When I asked them to remove it they said it was “in case you run out.” They must run the restaurant so poorly if they allow that many people try to run out. When trying to pay for my food, in cash, they charged my credit card again. They said that was my fault for not being more clear I wanted to pay cash. They voided that charge, but refused to give me a voided copy for the initial $10 because “that’s not how they do things.” I spoke with a gentleman who presented himself as possible someone in charge and the individual was rude and condescending when I ask for the proof that the card will not be charged. Poor service, mediocre food, and scammy billing. Not worth a second trip at all.

This used to be the place to go but you can tell they have been cutting corners lately. Quality of food has gone down as well as portions. On 2 different occasions Premium liquor tasted “off”. This is while prices have been rising. This is now a skip for me.

Me and some friends came to drink and play pool. First time in Edison. We get to the pool table and the bartender comes from behind the bar and says that either we order a drink or get out. We just got there and trying to settle in and she came off pretty rude. My friend buys a drink. She killed the mood so I didn’t want to buy one after that. We finish one game and now this man who works there comes up and says he was told to tell us to leave after that game. It was clear the bartender told him to tell us to leave. We left and plan to never go back to that place.

We’ve been to this bar multiple times with our emotional support animal, always without issue and even with the owner present. Today, we were shocked by how poorly the situation was handled. When we calmly mentioned that we had valid documentation from a psychiatrist as well as the license providing our dog as an emotional support animal - owner became loud, dismissive, and walked away mid-conversation, turning what could’ve been a respectful discussion into an unnecessary scene. As fellow business owners, we value professionalism and courtesy: two things that were completely lacking in how this was handled. It was rude, humiliating, and disappointing to be treated this way at a local Edison bar we’ve supported. You’re not running a high-end luxury spot in NYC, basic decency toward loyal customers shouldn’t be too much to ask.
