Love this place. Very clean, awesome food and the best customer service around. Treat yourself to breakfast, lunch or dinner. Love that they offer affordable lunch specials. Moved here in April 2018 and eat there almost everyday due to the massive menu. Including menudo on weekends.

Super cheap, super tasty, and super nice people. This was a nice surprise while traveling. I had the fish tacos. They were larger thank expected, tasty, and only $1.50 each. I only wish there was one out by me.

Thee BEST food around... their Hispanic Authenticity and Taste are like home.This is truly Food for the Soul that warms the heart as well, Sooooooooooooo worth a trip to get to. I'd give them 20 stars if the system allowed me. Simply phukin AMAZING. 👍💯

Stopped by for lunch and the potato with bacon burrito was great although it didn't carry a lot of weight to it and it would be nice if it had beans in it but it was plentiful regardless. Thanks I look forward to stopping by again. ( Forgot my shades but oh well ):

One of the better adobada burritos I have had in a long while. The place could use some love but the food is great.

Very friendly, and they always welcome children. The very easy to take your children out as a single parent.

Great food but I wish they would deliver! Someone needs to start delivering up here!! Please!! I live just behind them off Mitchell and often can’t drive due to health problems and I’d kill right now for a bean and cheese burrito and taquitos!!

Great food. So friggin good. I gave one less star as I did call ahead my order and it still took awhile to get my food.

I hate saying anything bad about a place, unless they deserve it, but I do enjoy good food and the food was lacking a bit. I search for places to have a chili relleno. They aren't easy to make and finding a good one isn't easy. Unfortunately this one tasted like it was premade. Whether it was premade at the restaurant or literally premade and frozen I couldn't really tell but it was obviously premade. Don't get me wrong it tasted pretty good and the sauce they used was tasty but a good chili relleno just has a certain taste to it.thw rice and beans were perfect and very tasty. My mother liked the chicken tacos so that's good. I plan on going back and trying some other things for sure. The service was good though and the people were friendly.

Thr food is usually excellent, although there has been some variation, probably due to who is cooking it. The atmosphere is friendly and service is quick. Although we get carryout, the dining room is large enough for social distancing as required.

Even though my dad and I came in what was clearly the off season, the service was relatively quick/friendly. The chorizo in my torta was well cooked/good quality and the fries were very fresh. The only bad thing was the bread, which was your typical squishy raw roll. Not to mention the bathrooms were clean. Recommend it if you are passing through the area.

So this place is great. It is old school style decor and in the middle of nowhere. It probably has bar or private events on the weekend or if not it should. The food was good. It feels like you are actually in Mexico here-

It was okay food, the service was interesting. The lady working there walked away to serve another table while she was taking are order. But otherwise she was super nice.

Came here on the weekend, good service, good prices, we got super nachos and rolled tacos. Nachos were very simple, no Pico, no jalapeños, just chips (which were fantastic) sour cream, refried beans, meat, and cheese. Would have liked them more if the meat were seasoned and the cheese melted. The course grate on the cheese didn't melt into the rolled tacos nor the nachos... finer cheese and melt it a little please :-)

Stopped by for lunch the place was empty the only two people in the restaurant were employees got a carne asada torta fries 🍟 and a side of rice the torta was good the rice had no taste my fries were good the salsa’s were not that good. Most likely would return if in the area

The prices were pretty good, I was disappointed with the overall experience. The atmosphere was not great, with a lack of ambiance and a somewhat dingy feel to the place. Additionally, the service was poor, with the staff seeming disorganized and uninterested in providing a good experience for customers. I had to wait a long time to be served and my order was not correct when it finally arrived. Furthermore, I found that all the food I tried tasted quite salty, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. While the portions were generous, the excessive salt made it difficult to fully appreciate the flavors. Despite these issues, I would still recommend Gilberto's Taco Shop for those on a budget. The prices are quite reasonable and the portions are generous. However, be prepared for poor service and a lackluster atmosphere. If you're sensitive to salt, you may want to look elsewhere for your Mexican food fix.

The Food is very good but not consistent. One day the Burrito is Hefty and then the next time thin and pencily! It's a $7 dollar burrito and it should be constant. I would mind if it's a decent size and always that size. It don't need to be the chode of Burritos! But come on be consistant and don't make me think I'm being ripped off. I really love the food but please make the appropriate helping and keep it that way. Thanks.....

I ordered the carnitas plate and asked for 2 tortillas on the side. She looked at me like I was dumb and said they come with them. I was like oh ok cool, they weren't in the pic so that's why I asked. Then of course! When i got home guess what! No tortillas ^-^. I was like cool called em no answer.. so just kinda annoying.. but food was decent.

Great and friendly service my boss took me there for lunch and man it was awesome love the burgers I did nothing but brag about him I ordered six double cheeseburgers got home and every last Burger was burnt to a Chris hard as a rock and all I got out of that was sorry...... She was it because I gave you too much business was it because you had too many patties to make I didn't tell you to make them in 15 minutes I didn't care if they were done in 15 minutes what I cared about was good food your food sucked tonight thanks a lot I think you owe me a refund or at least six free double cheeseburgers .....

The staff is friendly and the shop front is clean. However the food leaves something to be desired. It is as if the cooks here have given up serving good food. If only the sports bar connected to the dinning area was open.

Disappointed first time on graduation night. Small place over crowded ordered a wet burrito took over an hour wait for a I don't know what...think they ran out of food & just threw something on the grill

Stopped in with a friend on the way to Palm Springs for lunch. The special was 2 enchiladas beef or chicken . I ordered 1 of each. When the server brought it over the 1st enchilada I cut into had Zero meat in it. A tortilla with a little cheese and sauce. I took the plate back to the cashier/server and explained that the cook didn't put any meat in it. Well something that simple took forever to redo. When I got the order back it wasn't hot and took 2 bites out of the 1 enchilada and it wasn't fit to eat or feed to a dog . The meat was rancid and heavily salted with some disgusting sauce to try to cover up bad meat. Left it. My friend had a grilled chicken burrito which he told me wasn't good but he was hungry and ate it anyway had diarrea at the end of the day. TACO BELL IS 5 STARS COMPARED TO THIS PLACE. EATER BEWARE!!! Also the young gal with the thick eyebrows acted like she was lost in space and in la la land while engaging the customers .

Got food poisoning from here multiple times. I thought I would give it another shot considering there isn't much to choose from out here. It did not go well got food poisoning 3 different times from here. I think they are using old food. Like if they didn't sell it the days before and it's bad they still serve it. Don't go here even if you are staving!!! Worse place in town. I would rather eat gas station food than this stuff.

Nasty 🤮 nasty 🤢 the chips are stale, the salsa green and red has zero flavor profile. The service was terrible took a half hour to get cold food the worst Mexican restaurant ever. Totally overpriced, pathetically sad. Don’t go to this kitchen nightmare, it’s 100 times worse than Taco Bell!

Pictured is the beef nachos and the other the flauta "meal." Both meals, the sour cream is curdled, lumpy and separating. The guacamole is browning. Also, the flauta came by itself instead of the usual meal with rice and beans. We ordered a side of red sauce, which did not come in our order. What happened here? Are they under new management? The cooks have no pride in the food anymore.
