If you're a fan of authentic dumpling houses and bold flavors, this spot is a must-visit! 👍😋💯 It’s a small, unassuming hole-in-the-wall, but don’t let the size fool you the food is phenomenal. 🍜🤤👏 We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one delivered big on taste. 🥟🥢😋 I had the spicy fried rice (pro tip: it comes with chicken, even though it doesn’t say so on the menu). 🔥🌶️🍚 The flavor from the hot chili oil and black salted beans was out of this world. 🌎🌟✨ We also enjoyed the xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), which were perfectly done. 💯😋👍 What really surprised me was the sautéed cabbage with Thai chili peppers so simple, yet packed with incredible flavor. 🥬🌶️🔥 The beef soup was hearty, and the spicy chicken dish with Sichuan and chili peppers brought the heat in all the right ways. 🍲🐔🌶️ Customer service was great, and the whole experience exceeded expectations. 💯😊👍 I will definitely be back. 🥳😋👏
We had lunch/brunch on Saturday. Arrived there around noon, and we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t crowded. We ordered four items on the menu. The dishes started to arrive, and we were happy that the portions were big. There were only two of us, and we tried to finish but couldn’t. Each dish was flavorful, and we loved it! I would definitely come back to try other dishes. There is a large parking area in the back of the restaurant.
I had beef noodle soup and dumplings. They are both great. The pricing was affordable and the portions are big.
I visited this place last night and upon the first bite of the Chong Qing Crispy Chicken, I knew it would be an instant favorite. I do wish it was spicier though. This dish would be perfect with beer. Unfortunately, Dumpling House does not have a liquor license. Next dish out was the chicken dumplings. When I saw that they looked exactly how I made mine, I fell in love. I'm a sucker for hand-made dumpling wrappers. Very tasty, to boot! The beef noodle soup was killer. I added a dash of soy sauce & vinegar to mine, then a half a spoon of chili oil to bring up the heat. (I like spicy food, okay.) The meat was so tender, the noodles were perfectly bouncy, too. The pan-fried lamb dumplings came out last and they were also an instant favorite. I put a few of them in my soup and WOW! That was an amazing meal. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. Not too noisy, either. I definitely want to go back and try more dishes.
Dumpling House is my go to spot for fresh, flavorful dumplings. We had the pork wontons in spicy sauce, which were perfectly tender and soaked in a rich, slightly spicy sauce that added just the right kick. The shrimp, pork, and egg wontons were just as delicious, juicy, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the beef chow fun, a flat noodle dish with tender beef, crisp veggies, and perfectly chewy noodles coated in a savory, smoky sauce. Everything came out fast, and the service was efficient and friendly. With great food at a reasonable price, this place never disappoints. Definitely a must-visit for dumpling lovers!
Food here is authentic Chinese and delicious! We ordered cold pork with garlic (spicy), cumin lamb, pineapple shrimp fried rice and their bean curd sprout dish. Service was quick and staff was accommodating. Totally would come back here.
Absolutely incredible dumpling spot. The juicy pork dumplings are soup dumplings and are always a highlight. The chicken dumplings are soft while not being too doughy. The string beans are a MUST have. They are perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, and constantly my partner and I will have cravings for these. The beef and egg congee is the perfect cold weather/feeling sick food. It is so warm, so creamy, and so hearty. There are almost always leftovers and it reheats perfectly. Another HUGE win is that this establishment does NOT use MSG (sadly my partner is VERY allergic and this can severely limit dining locations sometimes). Please just know they close at 3PM and reopen at 5PM usually.
I think this place is delicious ! You have to try it! Hopefully they can have a bigger restaurant because it's quite small. I ordered the noodles, pork and celery, chicken in spicy wonton soup, and shrimp pan fried dumplings. And a cucumber salas. Oh this was all so juicy and fresh. Although I do wish the dumplings were stuffed a bit more. The meatball is always significantly smaller than the case dough it's in. But nevertheless, flavor is there. And it's there 10x. So ya. Best dumpling place.

We were pleasantly surprised but the quality and quantity of food that you get for your money! Very good dim sum and excellent fried rice! Fast too.
Yummy! We went on a weekday when it was raining so it was not packed at all. But overall the staff was nice, the place was clean and they didn’t take very long to bring out our food. We’d definitely go there again.
We tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend, looking for a new (additional) spot for dumplings and more. We ordered the wonton in chili oil, pan fried pork buns, and hot & spicy fried rice. They started the meal with a complimentary scallion pancake, which was very good. Then our hot & spicy fried rice arrived. It was good, though not very spicy. We waited around 20 minutes and our pan fried pork buns arrived, all burst, with the soup more in the plate than in the buns. The dough wasn't quite right, fully gummy and soaked, as if it almost wasn't the right dish. They had been flipped upside down and were just a pile of mush, covered in a lot of oil, unlike any pan fried pork buns we've ever gotten. About 10min later, they tried to drop off another plate of (oily) dumplings at the table, that wasn't what we ordered. They took it back and double-checked our order on the paper and saw that we had ordered the wonton in chili oil, which came about 10min later. Overall a very mixed and long (for what it was) meal with some good food, some not-so-good, and lots of weird pacing. A couple of the servers were friendly and did check in on us a few times. Sidenote - I love chili oil but the one they had there wasn't my favorite - it's less spicy, more salted black soybean. No big deal there, just not my cup of tea.
The dumplings were just so so. Dumpling skin was on the thick side, especially the pot stickers. Spicy wonton was sweet which it isn't supposed to be. On the plus side, noodle soups were decent and the pulled pancake was very good. Reasonably priced.
The food was great. Kiddos wolfed down the dumplings, especially the juicy chicken ones. Hot & sour egg drop soup wasn't too spicy and was really flavorful. My 4 year old discovered that she likes shrimp by having it from the combination fried rice. The bathroom is accessed by leaving the restaurant, going around the back to the parking lot and through the first door, then down the stairs. It's the door in front of the stairs, the other one goes to the kitchen. Bear this in mind if you're coming here with children.

Was a bit let down by the quality of the food. This place was so busy I thought the food would be really good. The dumplings were $13-14 for 8, and the sizes were good, but the wrappers were all broken and quite disappointing. The green onion pancake was free for order above $20, but were obviously store bought and very dry and not tasty. The interior was clean and staff are decent.
I grabbed some lunch at Dumpling House, a smaller sit down/take out location on Baldwin Ave. Menu has an array of options for quick Asian eats like dumplings, hot pot and appetizers. I enjoyed the food, service was ridiculously quick and very friendly. Dumpling House's table setup was a bit compact, so if you're going to try a variety of dishes here they'll seat you at a 4 top. The food was tasty and flavorful enough to not need additional condiments. I found the bok choi to be over sauced but still good. Dumpling skin was thicker than some other places. Enjoyed the spring rolls. Note: No fountain drinks, all drinks except tea and water were canned.
2025- remodeled. some great items now missing and many other food items are now different. went on a sat. lunch and it was quiet. I am concern about their biz situation. do take their "spicy" logo on items seriously. do eat the dumplings quickly as they get cold fast. the big cold marble tabletop helped the cooling as the plate is cool quickly. juicy pork crab dumplings was good. mildly juicy and must be eaten hot or the juice be gone. the panfried bun was not the usual as the skin was very thin and wet while the inside had little juice. flavored stewed beef noodle is spicy with pepper corn soup ingredient. seafood noodle soup was red, spicy, and angry. toouch spice covering most seafood favor in the soup. probably best was the house noodle. 2016- Food is on the good side, service not so much. 2 person running the place every time I am here lunch or dinner. Thats the problem. Restroom if you could avoid it, please do. Parking can be problematic but now 2 shops adjacent is remodeling (7/2016), not a problem for now. The soup is the star of all the noodle except the braised beef spicy noodle. Duck noodle is excellent and did I mention the soup?
Great service. Food and price is also good

Beef roll pancake - 3 stars Saliva chicken - 4 stars Sauteed mixed mushroom - 3 stars Juicy crab and pork meat dumpling - 3 stars Everything was underwhelming and not full of flavor. Lots of space inside. Plenty of parking in the back.
The service was loud, rude and brusque. The food was a disappointment. If you like your steamed dumplings and wontons with thick, tough skins you may like this place. The cold sesame noodles tasted odd. I never walk away from food but today I did. The spices and condiments tasted rancid. We do NOT recommend this place.

Went with a group of friends. I got beef soup. Pretty good. The beef dish i got just okay. But, I'm not a fan of traditional Chinese food, so you can't my word for it. My girl ordered a dish along with rest of us and didn't receive hers. We asked for compensation and they didn't really want to make it right. So, probably won't be coming back to this place again.
Mediocre Chinese restaurant probably not worth of the 2nd visit. The pork dumplings (白菜豬肉水餃) are tasteless, the scallion pancakes are not crispy at all, the stir fried beef noodles (乾炒牛河)are super salty and wraps of the pan fried pork dumplings (生煎包)are broken. Staff is friendly but the food quality is poor. This place is definitely not my choice for the authentic Chinese cuisine in the SGV.

I recently visited Dumpling House and my experience was quite mixed. I arrived around 12:15 PM, and initially, I was greeted with a menu by the waitress. However, it took a bit longer than expected for her to take my order, as she was on her phone instead of attending to customers. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I finally got her attention and she took my order. However, shortly after, a couple came in, and she assisted them right away, taking their order and delivering their food before I had received mine. When I inquired about my order, she assured me that it was ready, yet I continued to wait for quite a while. Frustrated by the long wait, I asked for my meal to be packed in a to-go container. I left with my food in hand, but the service left much to be desired. While the dumplings may be delicious, the service could use significant improvement. I hope they can address these issues to enhance the overall dining experience for their customers.
