Charming, clean and place. Nothing better than freshly made perfect loukoumades. Traditional and then amazing creative options. Astoria is even better now.
Giddy up..!! The kind of thing you don't know you're missing until you try it.... And trust me you got to try it.. delicious, great quality.. excellent staff.. a must on your Astoria food stops!
I have tried a European made cappuccino in a friendly place and it was one of my best coffees I have tried in New York.
Delicious dessert and made to order! Love the nutella and cookies and cream!
Astoria needed this... This is the very first Loukoumades shop in New York, and let’s just say: FINALLY! “Traditional Greek Donuts with a FRESH TWIST” ...they definitely live up to their description. Made fresh every minute and customized with various toppings like local honey, walnuts, cinnamon, ice cream, fresh strawberries, Nutella & much more... THEIR COFFEE! Probably best I’ve had in Astoria in a while... their espresso is filled with delicious chocolate notes (there’s no chocolate in it) and has a delightful smooth taste. Full coffee bar/menu - so you can order your coffee however you’d like. Great store layout and decor. The staff/service us extremely inviting filled with lots of positivity. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO ASTORIA!
So glad I got to check them out on the grand opening day! Loved the vibes and the cute set up inside. I tried the classic and traditional Loukoumades and they were sooo good! Fresh and delicious! Can't wait to try more off the menu :)
Great, modern takes on Greek loukoumades here at Gold'N Honey. Syrup galore on what some would say are donut holes. These are crisp and light, enveloped in all kind of delicious, sweet toppings like honey, syrup, and Nutella. This is a place to go when you want to surprise your significant other or family with an especially enjoyable treat. They also have some delicious coffees to go along with the desserts. Recommend you give this place your business.
Very nice and easy going place. I really enjoyed the smoothie and chocolate croissant!
This place has a lovely name, to start with. I ordered the deluxe sweet donuts, perfect combination of sweet, sour, crunch and tender. Staff is friendly. I enjoyed the visit on this rainy Saturday in my neighborhood.
This place has the best loukoumades in all of Astoria, great coffee, great tea, I would give this place more stars if I could specially because of the mazing customer service. Loula is amazing and makes everything with lots of love!!!
Chocolate milkshakes and loukoumades are amazing. Loula, one of the staff members always greats everyone with smiles and great energy. Would recommend everyone checking this place out.
Outstanding Iced Cold Brew, Iced Tea. Spinach Pie is delicious: flaky crust, creamy feta cheese, flavorful spinach. Muffins ate okay. K have not tried the Loukamadis because I'm diabetic.
The best loukoumades! Highly recommend. Better than the ones that they make at the Greek church festivals
I always get an ice latte every morning on weekend in this place, never thought that i will get a good coffee in far side of astoria
Classic and traditional louks were great. Service was quick. Not much else to say. Staff attitude wasn't warm like it's expected to be where I'm from, but it wasn't horrible either and I'm getting used to that.
This place is a great addition to the neighborhood and a perfect coffee spot right near the high school. While it is a bit overpriced, the staff is filled with the absolute sweetest, kindest, most generous, wonderful people, so it is totally worth it.
First time trying this place. I am so happy my girlfriend crystall insisted we try the vegan friendly option. It was delicious! Thank you Maria for the great experience 🥰
Great fresh Loukoumades and service was great girl working there today was superb give her a raise - 3-30-2025 around 3PM 👏👏👏
Fantastic coffee, loukamades and spanikopita. Staff is friendly. Love this place!
Lucky Astoria residents - Greek loukoumades at your doorstep! Gold' N Honey is centrally located for your morning coffee and best tasting, heart warming, traditional Greek pastries. K ick-start your day with Gold'N Honey.
Heard about this place, and came from the Bronx to check it out. When you walk in, you instantly get greeted with a smile and service. Everything was delicious and fresh! Perfect spot to sit down and enjoy something sweet. Shoutout to Julia on a great frap and Spiridoula on the great service! Will definitely be back!
I love this spot sm!! Since moving to Astoria a couple months ago g&h has become my neighborhood spot and I could not be happier about it! Bella makes AMAZING coffee and I love the new nutter butter latte!!
Their Dubai chocolate iced latte is to die for! So delicious. Full of pistachio spread and chocolate but not overly sweet!
I been meaning to write a review for this place after going last week because honestly, it was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try the desserts here for a long time and we finally got the chance to go one day after work, but we were going to arrive just 15 minutes before closing. When we got there, they said that they were making a fresh batch that was gonna be done in 20 minutes (so a few minutes after they close) which I already thought was super generous. When the desserts were done, they brought it out to our car in the front without us even having to ask. On top of that there was this man in front of the store (I believe he was the owner) and he offered us free cake slices since they were just cutting a cake as we were about to leave, and brought it out for us with napkins. My boyfriend and I were shocked at how nice everyone was and I don’t usually write reviews but this was honestly 10/10. Not to mention the dessert was even better than I thought it was going to be.
You could sit outside and enjoy a coffee but I see this more as a grab-and-go spot. Service is excellent and the loukoumades are made fresh in front of you, with a large variety of flavor options.
Loukamadas were delicious. The coffee was amazing too!
They have excellent customer service. The toasted s'mores iced latte is amazing. Would highly recommend this place
The Greek donut / Loukoumades I so good. I could not believe they were not banned. Yeah probably not very good for my health but who cares, it's just too damn good.
These doughnuts were DELICIOUS!!! We got the hazelnut ones and they were incredible. Still thinking about them days later.
Just had a warm batch and they were excellent. The traditional is my favorite but the Hazelnut was great as well because undoubtedly anything with Nutella on it would be difficult to not taste good. Nice spot, fun to hang out by the window and throw down an order or two... or three 😄
I'll be honest, I've been in this neighborhood a long time, and when I saw that a loukoumades place opened up, I was skeptical and thought it was gimmicky. It's a great street food/dessert, but a whole shop dedicated to little balls of honey soaked fried dough? Get outta here. But, and I don't say this often, I was wrong. This place is fantastic! On my visit, they got everything right, and I had some of the best loukoumades I've ever had. Keep up the good work, and while my waistline will not appreciate it, I will definitely be back.
Happened to drive by tonight as they were closing. I had my window open and the owner noticed my excitement! He told me to come in and gave me the last batch of loukumades! And one on the house! The classic and Nutella were sooo delicious! He even gave me a sample of the Nutella filled ones!!! Will definitely be coming back !
Happened upon here by chance & so glad I did!! The frappe is just like we had them in Greece and the loukoumades were literally perfect. I had the traditional and hazelnut - I recommend them both. The biggest selling point for me, though, was Loula who was super friendly and kind from the start and got my order hooked up right away. Then got hit with a rush which she handled like a boss - it was all quick and everyone left with a smile after having a lovely interaction with her. Loula definitely made me into a returning customer! I've already set a date with my partner to go here again. Highly highly recommend!!
Absolutely love this place - not only are the coffee and Loukoumades delicious, but I always appreciate the friendly and attentive service. Everyone is great, but Loula is the best. She remembers my two favorite orders and every morning, asks me “Which one are we doing today?” Her warmth and friendliness (and of course, the coffee) have kept me coming back religiously for the past year. Thank you Loula and team for bringing great coffee, treats, and service to Crescent and Ditmars!
Must try!!! The Loukoumades are sooo good. We tried traditional, hazelnut (topped with Nutella) and the one that has Nutella stuffing and cream/Oreo crumbles on top) and all were delicious. Also held well to the next day! The staff is so friendly, made us feel super welcome.
Gold'n Honey 🍯 exactly what the name says golden delicious crispy lokoumades made fresh in front of you covered with delicious toppings. I can't have a favorite as all versioins I have tried so far are delicious! Their cheese and spinach pies, as well as the rest of the pastries are fresh and delicious as well. Their coffee ☕ selection is also amazing. Staff is welcoming, cheerful, energetic and always helpful. The place is clean and well taken care. Love the design 👌 I will be back for sure!
Until today I had no idea what loukoumades were. I am sad that I had been missing out my entire life, but also happy that I finally have them in my life now. Not only were the loukoumades spectacular, but the staff were also very welcoming and friendly. They offered my golden doodle a treat, which is a first as well.
If you love sweets and donuts, then you’ll love Greek versions of fried doughnuts, Loukoumades. The sweet soft fried nugget size dough is simply amazing with Pooh Bear’s favorite food or if like to be adventurous, toppings include Oreo or hazelnut by Nutella. They have other toppings and flavors on their menu.
Only two places in NYC make credible loukoumades. Cafe Boulis and now Gold’N Honey. This is the newer one and they don’t miss! They are golden fried, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. A true delight and great dessert. I opted for the traditional - honey walnuts and cinnamon. Really tasty. Good quality honey - not too sweet. They have more modern twists and offer a full line of coffee drinks. My wife enjoyed her iced coffee. The desserts are made to order so expect them to take around 10 minutes. Well worth it. After all, you don’t want to eat these after they have been sitting around. Piping hot and crunchy is ideal, just be careful when you bite in. Staff is very pleasant. The owner also gave us a try of a Nutella stuffed loukoumades, which was delicious, thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Looking forward to coming back and trying other menu items!
This place is a blessing! I went yesterday to check it out and ended up going home with a bag of pure perfection! First of all, the staff is very friendly, customer service level is through the roof and the food is beyond good! I’m happy to have this just a block away from my place! I highly recommend Gold’n Honey to everyone! I wanted to post the picture of my desert but I ate it faster than it is humanely possible 😊
I love the lattes here they’re delicious esp the toasted marshmallow its soooo tasty. The young girl who works there with the dark hair and glasses offers excellent service and always makes my lattes perfect. I also enjoy the loukoumades when I’m in the mood for dessert. Love this place!
Such a cute, cozy little cafe!!! Hung out with my best friend here and the workers were very sweet and offered to take pictures. The coffee was also really good and the ambiance was amazing.
I love lokoumades but they are so hard to find in america. Luckily, Astoria isn’t far so you can find them there. These are ridiculous. The stuffed ones with nutella are divine. They have just the right texture. I would run back to get them. Seems like a family run business too which is always good to support.
I love this place. The loukoumades are freshly made and amazing. The portion size is far too large for a person to eat in one sitting. The atmosphere is comfortable. The location can't be beat - it's located in the comfortable neighborhood of Astoria just blocks away from the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard train station (N,W).
The best place to come and sit to chat with friends or to bring a laptop and study. The workers are absolutely amazing and so friendly… shoutout Nicole and Bella. They have fun specialty drinks and change out the specialty drink menu based on the season. Best coffee shop in Astoria!
These Greek donuts are unbelievable! The traditional loukoumades are topped with honey, nuts, and cinnamon. Every bite was perfect - warm, crispy, soft, sweet. An incredible snack! The drinks are also delightful and refreshing. Great service and nice spot! However, I didn't see a bathroom there. Would recommend!
Serendipity led me here for a coffee break after cycling 43 miles from Long Island. The kind gentleman recommended the traditional Loukoumades. He explained it’s a small version of a Zeppoli with drizzled honey. I have to say it’s quite delicious and I couldn’t stop eating it 🥇🥇 I devoured the box of 8 honey drizzled mini donuts. Cycling 90 miles today, need to pack maximum energy! The next 20 miles of cycling was amazing. I felt like I had added rocket 🚀 fuel to my system. Must be the honey & walnuts working in unison. Comfortable outside seating & clean washroom facilities. I’m hoping they add a bike rack for 4-6 bikes. I’ll definitely make this a refueling station when I pass through 🙏🏻🙏🏻
This spot has been my greatest discovery and my #1 place to go for the perfect dessert. The stuff n' good topped with strawberries satisfies my craving for chocolate and has that perfect pastry crunch, and their cold brew is so smooth! I literally come once a week, if not two weeks. Unfortunately today the loukamades had barely any chocolate so i was pretty upset and too far away to go back. But hopefully next time it'll ooze with chocolate the way it usually does!
There’s nothing like biting into a warm, crunchy yet soft loukoumade dipped in honey. Gold’n honey knows what they are doing and has options with Nutella and other delicious dips and toppings. They have a modern look and chill vibes. It’s off of formats and is perfect for a snack on the walk to the park or dessert after eating at one of the top Astoria restaurants.
These loukoumades were so good they didn't even last for a photo (at least I got pictures of the inside)! I got 3 boxes to Easter and they were all AMAZING. My Greek boyfriend agreed they were some of the best he's had. I tried the hazelnut and then made my own concoctions, 1 with nutella filling and the other with cream filling. The nutella filled ones basically explode in your mouth which is so good with the crispy outside. My mom's favorite was my own concoction of cream filled with nutella and pistachio pieces on top. The place is really nice and clean and they have other pastries and coffee available. There's also 2 tables outside for seating. Already planning on going back!
They serve loukoumades, but they aren't as good as the Greek Bazaar serves. They were still tasty, but they could be better.
Really yummy loukamades. Similar to zeppolis, but better. Get the Nutella on top, or stuffed. The stuffed ones are a bit too much, but good.
Delicious loukoumades.... I preferred to have a real fork and knife....Not everyone enjoy to eat at once the whole loukouma.....
Been here long time ago, coffee is good and mini doughnut with nuttela filling was okay (but if you really love sweet, then you will like it)
Very nice atmosphere and food.
Loukamades! Think Greek Zeppolé. Traditional with syrup and cinnamon or lots of non traditional variations (love the strawberry). An occasional treat for my GF and I. Love it.
Wow these loukoumades were for any dessert lover. I got the stuff n' good, Nutella filled and topped with Oreo crumbs and white chocolate $9.25. They were fresh, heavy, but also really good. Way too expensive to eat regularly.
Enjoyed their unique menu. For the loukoumades, I got classic flavor. It was slightly oily for me, and the dough had a sour taste like sour dough which was interesting. If you don’t like it, you might have to choose a flavor that is strong to cover it. For classic, the sourness was kinda clear. I had the Freddy cappuccino drink which was amazing tho! Coffee was a little bit too bitter for me, but the foamed milk on the top, almost like cream, was impressive.
I came here several times over the past few months. Tried deluxe loukoumades - they were my favorite but waaay too heavy in terms of calories, also had strawberry ice cream and their coffee. During my last visit I had the original plain loukoumades and was quite disappointed - they tasted sour and cinnamon could not overpower that sourness. I would suggest they add powdered sugar as well, that is why I gave Gold'N Honey 4 starts. Other then that the place is very clean, and the staff is friendly.
This place is good but a bit over hyped. If you want loukoumades it's good but it's nothing special coming from a Greek.
Ordered 20pc, no option for honey or cinnamon. Assumed those came on by default. When received, loukomades had no honey or cinnamon, not very good. Kind of an integral ingredient. Quick delivery with no issues otherwise.
I was expecting awesome Loukamades but I was disappointed. Yes it was crispy on the outside and soft inside but it was a little sour and too doughy, it didn’t taste that good. Surprised to say the Loukamades at the Greek Fairs was much better.
I was disappointed. First the staff was not very friendly. Then the prices for what you get are not just high, they are downright insane. It's a cute place, but when every church fair in the neighborhood sells the same thing, at double the amount for half the price, it is difficult to recommend this place. Between the surly staff and the VERY high prices, you're better off going elsewhere. I would not recommend.
So I’ve been here before for the classic pastries, and I do think it’s very decadent and good. The staff are also very nice. HOWEVER, they had their windows open and door ajar when I came this time, with 2 people sitting right outside smoking. So the entire store smelled like cigarette smoke and it was extremely discomforting for a facility serving food. I saw the people sitting outside smoking before I came in and was hoping for a respite inside, but no.
All staff not wearing masks. And they were talking loudly while making my coffee. Also the coffee didn't taste good.
Ordered a large cappuccino. Cup was maybe 30-50% full, and the rest was foam. The coffee itself was burnt as well. Not a chance I'd ever return.
The donuts were so good. However, the employees were rude. I’m an Asian with an accent. The lady at the register said to me “I don’t understand what you mean.” in a dismissive tone, and the lady who actually served donuts to me was unfriendly. I’m a resident in Astoria for a while and never had an experience like this in other stores in this area, too. Would I have had this experience if I weren’t ASIAN? I was so sad and crying while eating.
Very Disgusting, last Saturday I went and asked for some donuts, while I was waiting I saw that the employee constantly scratched her nose, before starting to place the order, I saw that the donuts that they were going to give me were one that looked overcooked and the employee tried to choose the best. Followed by This she had to fill the donuts so she waited for another employee who had left the store when he arrived, they exchanged gloves, since she did not have one and with that glove that was already dirty since the employee had been outside the store, not seem hygienic at all and even more now that we are in a pandemic nothing justifies that they use a glove to handle your food already used by another person, given this I wanted my money I called them several times to tell them and they ignored me they continued talking to each other until I opted for leave the place. It was my favorite place, I recommended it to my friends but after this I will not return and I will not recommend it again.
I am very disappointed at the quality of the Lokomades i bought today. Not evenly cooked, not crunchy at all, hardly any syrup. It should be golden, warm, crunchy on the outside, soft inside and dripping in honey!!!!
I ordered Traditional Loukoumade. I took one bite and the oil came out.... its fillled with oil..The store looks good from outside but I feel like they dont care about food quality.
They used to be so good. Not anymore, at least some days , depends who is working. Yesterday feb 27 in the early afternoon. I ordered the pistachio heaven lokumades, she almost burned them and super oily , I’ve been sick all day after I ate them. It is not the first time this particular lady is making them this way, just too lazy to change the oil.
I used to go there for loukoumades. I have tried 4 times and the loukoumades were really really bad the last three. 12 dollars and my pistachio loukoumades ended in the trash can. No recommend it.
I went with my husband to get the most talked loukumades. I have tried from other places and was expecting these to be as delicious ( or more) like the one I have tried in Cyprus! The order had 8 small balls, cold, dry, no syrup and on top: cinnamon, which made them more dry. I’m sorry. Didn’t like them at all.
Initially this places was great. Very traditional. Last time though my experience was horrible. Coffee tasted burnt and the loukoumades were under fried. I would normally ignore that but the syrup was watery garbage and so much cinnamon was thrown on that the desert it was inedible. I feel like the store has stopped caring about quality and is goingto close soon if this continues.
Very very disappointing. The Loukoumades were cold and stale. We asked the worker that we want them fresh and hot, she said yes. We asked her twice to make them hot and we ended with cold ones. Also one of the worker was so rude, she wouldn’t even answer us when we ask her anything. I heard good things about this place but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience.
