We had a really good time there. Food was spot on. We had the fried calamari and edamame for appetizers and I actually got the summer mango salmon. Really good. Customer service was very professional and always attentive to our requirements. The place itself is very welcoming and cozy.
This restaurant is the best Thai spot in the neighborhood. I’m always here for the edamame and fried spring rolls ❤️ The staff is always friendly. I ordered delivery last time and they were kind enough to include an extra portion of spring rolls on the house. Always grateful to have places like this around.
LUNCH SPECIAL! Food - 5 out of 5 stars -One spring roll (the bomb); salad/soup and an entree for less than $10! -Got the salad. Delicious peanut sauce on top. And they use mixed greens which I love rather than just simply lettuce - Kee mao for the entree, well fried with the ‘wok hay’. Breath of wok! Simply delicious. And best of all, it does not feel greasy at all. Vegetarian option available Service - 5 out of 5 stars Everyone was wearing a mask etc Ambiance - 5 out of 5 stars Outdoor dining available! Very well built outdoor dining structure too
San Aroy is our favorite Thai restaurant in Astoria. The food is always amazing, the staff is friendly and courteous, and they’re reasonably priced.
Service was so lovely. Start with the fried pork dumplings FOR SURE. $5 apps can’t beat. Pad Thai is a signature dish hard to nail and they did it. So good, we can’t wait to come back and wish we came sooner! Thank you for the soda :)
Our go to place for Thai. Affordable and good. Nice place for a quiet romantic evening. Love their papaya salad!
When in to enjoy some Red curry, I would definitely recommend if you're into trying new foods, the staff are great and the experience is definitely worth it.

Kimao was great, generous with the protein. Plenty of veggies too. Some places just double up on cheap noodles and little else relying on the sauce to keep you from knowing you're getting ripped off. Dry Noodles in hot water are great and all but not worth 16$. Feel hungry an hour later? We also get the curry puffs, slammin. The nieces love the noodles too. It's maybe Astoria's best thai. Ignore the haters. People angry they dont allow mangy dogs in here, a literal Dept of Health violation. Get outta here with that, we don't need to eat with YOUR pets. Service dog? Thats being abused to death. Cant eat without one? stay home order takeout.
Ordered peanut curry with chicken and it was very good mild spicy and plenty of chicken.my wwife had pad thai with pork and she said it was absolutely delicious, for appetizer we had the pork larb salad and the chicken galanga soup
My partner and I have been going to San Aroy Thai Kitchen for years now. We love to dine in and enjoy the service, and the food always delivers. I want to highlight the mango salad, the chive cakes, the summer roll with peanut sauce, and the tofu pad Thai. We love the staff at San Aroy and look forward to seeing you guys soon!💃🏻

Delicious food, and the lunch special is very reasonably priced! Street noodles and Thai tea were fantastic.
Had take out. Had dinner here with a friend. Had their lunch special. Affordable and tasty. Good service overall.

Update March 2020: I visited this time just because I craved for Thai food so badly. I expected salty food BUT, food got much better and saltiness solved! Much better flavors and quality. Keep it up! I had Pad ki mao, tom yang soup(cream), mango salad, and thai ice tea. Salad and tom yang soup were great. Will visit again next time. Previous: It was okay. I tried three times in here and the food was always salty. It was delicious but too salty.
Perfect papaya salad which is the benchmark I use to test a Thai restaurant. It was nicely marinated, spiced and fresh. Their curry puffs are big like samosas but I prefer the more standard sized curry puffs. Get their papaya salad spicy and sticky rice.

The food was basic - I ordered to take out. Not the best Thai food I have had but not the worse either.

Unfortunately this place isn't even mediocre Thai food. I wish it were better, but it is consistently just plain bad.

Food was truly gross. Ordered the pad thai with pork and the noodles were mushy, the pork tasted old, almost rotten like, and the pieces were greasy and stringy. Seasoning was nonexistent, legit tasted like they poured ketchup all over and called it a day. Truly a shame because I used to come to this place all the time and it was good affordable food. Let the staff know that the pork tasted off and they either didn't understand me or didn't care at all, so I didn't risk it and didn't finish eating. Will not be coming back.
Ordered for Medium but I got well done too hard cant even bite it. Meat is not fresh at all. First and last time ever.
Yesterday’s hard, rubbery chicken warmed up in a microwave and mixed with burnt noodles in a dish with zero veggies and no flavor. How is it possible to make a bad pad thai?

We used to go to this place. Even people was not friendly, we still was going there because the food used to be good. Last few time we ordered to go and ingredients in food was not fresh, vegetables smelled and looked spoiled, mango had rotten teist, we still ate it, I v got stomach ache before I finished the food. I think they have to be careful with ingredients specially summer time.
Avoid this place like the plague! I tried to order take out in person with my infant baby in the stroller and my service dog and was immediately stopped by the staff at their double glass doors as I’m struggling to bring my stroller in. Rather than try to hold the door to allow me in with the stroller to order take out, they were telling me to go back outside so they can take my order out on the sidewalk because they don’t allow pets. I showed them he is a service dog and they still insisted to make me go back outside to take my order because they have customers seated (2 tables in the entire place), and even the customers seating told them to allow us in. The most rude and cruel staff refusing to take my order inside with an infant and a service dog. Never ordering from this place again they deserve zero stars.
Wow are they extremely expensive, the staff was rude over the phone and I was rushed. The food did in fact taste old, never again
