Great vibe with an awesome patio and good drinks. The bartenders were super friendly, and the owner was genuinely kind and welcoming. Such a great spot to hang out.
I love this place!! Bartenders are super friendly and drinks are delicious. Me and my friends love coming here. Ranon & Daniel are the best! Definitely coming back again. We got the Elf Elixir & Bad Apple drink from their special holiday menu. We also had some hot drinks too!!! Awesome place with cool decorations!
Very nice and lively place. Great to have a drink and have fun! They have a lot of space outdoors and you can bring your dog if you want. I loved the cucumber jalapeno margarita, ideal if you like a spicy cocktail!
Wasabi Bloody Mary was delicious. Can't beat the $9 happy hour price. Service was quick and very friendly.
They have a Strangers Things theme which is really cool! I think it’s only for October but it was beautiful and well thought out! Amazing drinks and some really dope shot/beer combos
Just an overall great experience. Dan was such a wonderful bartender. Would definitely go back for the great drinks Dan makes. Highly recommend the Demogorgon drink!
Nice bar with big patio on Rainey street. Close to the street food court. On Sat, there was a DJ spinning. We had a great time.
We had a fun drink that was winter themed! The Fristy Fizz was in the champagne glass. Cranberry infused gin.
Great drinks great prices Not like Vegas!! DJ was amazing!! Things are changing on Rainey. Enjoy this place before another HighRise takes over!!!
Great drinks, especially the chilli cucumber martini, and a chill backyard patio. Simply wonderful.
I lead tours on rainy with LA epic club crawls(come join :) ) we had Katheryn as a bartender she’s incredibly attentive, made amazing drinks, set the vibe, and made our time for the Bach group feel special. This is always my fav bar to bring guests on rainy the DJ played amazing music and was a great guy! Door men were funny and great at the door would 100% recommend this bar if you guys want a real Rainy experience!
ATX native and I walked in here last on a Thursday night after a twelve year hiatus from Rainey. Had no reason to leave. The bartender (Jake) was incredibly welcoming and the cocktails were on point. Makes me feel like I was in the old Rainey with the house atmosphere and welcoming folks. Will certainly be back.
Well, if cocktails count as food, and local knowledge counts as service, this place is a 10!!!! Kat at the bar was absolutely perfect, and Jake was so warm and welcoming and personable! He gave some great suggestions for where to go and what to do while in town! He's the real gem of this place!! Be sure to stop by when you visit Rainey St.!!
Stopped in for a cocktail, and happened to watch Justin meticulously clean every square inch of that place. It’s clear he really cares about the customer experience. I hope the owners appreciate him!
Wow, the flavor was insane!!! Hands down the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The fusion of Asian spice with American fried chicken is brilliant. The nuggets are a must. The portions are very generous and staff is super friendly. I already know my food budget will have expand for the next few weeks.
Super impressed with how fast the food came out, and it was delicious. The breading on the chicken is really thin and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn’t dry at all. Big shout-out to Carlos for the great customer service—super friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!
Oh my god, the best freaking fried chicken nuggets ive ever had in my life - and i try alot of food in Austin. So crunchy yet tender and heavily seasoned. Never tried anything with such bold flavors before. You have to try the classic boneless nuggets with spicy mayo. I got two orders cuz of how addicting it was. Not bad for the price too!
Absolutely delicious fried chicken. Great small menu with variety of chicken options. I got spicy salad with chicken wings. It was absolutely amazing, the seasoning on chicken is very unique. It’s a bit spicy, but has a Smokey sweet almost cinnamon like flavor. So so good. Would come back. Really great that it’s at a brewery so you can grab a bite and drink to enjoy outside.
We tried the Hot Gai sando, papaya salad, and roti + curry—and they did not disappoint. The chicken was the star dish: crispy, juicy, and tender. I would eat it without the buns if I could because it’s just banging. The papaya salad was light and refreshing. The roti was warm and crispy. We got the yellow curry, which I thought was too sweet. Overall, we would come back again when our fried chicken craving kicks in.
Had the OG sandwich and a side of the SOM TAM. While I’m normally a spicy person I didn’t need to ruin myself before going back to work. I thought the chicken sandwich was delicious and the side was perfect and a good serving size for the $3.99 cost. A perfect pairing with beers from Zilker.
It’s a food truck, serving a fusion of Malaysian and American food! It’s pretty good!! I ordered the bone in fried chicken and it was delicious. The perfectly fried chicken with the right amount of Thai chilli sauce took me by surprise big surprise. I was not expecting it at all! They also serve papaya salads and the like so… pretty good, pretty darn good. They also have both inside and outside seating since the food truck shares the space with zilker brewing co. Recommend eating out here!
Was recommended this place by friends in Dallas. I have to say, the food here does not disappoint. I grabbed their bone in specialty and roti with curry. Everything is so flavorful and so savory. My favorite was the curry, so creamy and tasty, I was considering coming back the same day to get it again 😂 I would recommend this place again and again! Will come back next time im in Austin.
Was recommended by a friend who had stumbled on it when he was down in Austin. Some really amazing chicken here. Got the hot chicken nuggets, and they were delicious. Wish I had twice the amount, plus the dipping sauce was a great complement. Also got an order of the bread with curry sauce which was excellent. Overall would 100% come back, especially to try the chicken sandwich that looked awesome.
We loved our time there, the decorations were according to the occasion of Valentines day as we went on Feb 15th. A lot of photo booths and lights for photo ops. Drinks were great and strong enough. Nice young and hip crowd, nice experience and will go again. We ordered margarita, cucumber tini, valentines special raspberry cupid and everything was great
Good service, drinks were okay. I liked that it was happy hour and a decent selection was half off. The music was so loud at 5 pm and hardly anyone was there. I didn’t understand why there were bouncers there but maybe this is a young person club spot and I’m just old. Never the less, staff was friendly and kind.
Very cute spot by Zilker Brewery! I really enjoyed the fusion and found its various spice levels to be ranked appropriately (naturally, as a weakling, I picked nuggets with a spice level of 1). Staff seemed disinterested in answering questions about the menu, but the food was great! It's a very fun place everyone should try at least once. I would recommend the nuggets or the sandwich - the tots were a mixed bag for my party.
Spicy Boys Fried Chicken is a food truck parked in the large open space in front of Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom. There are long picnic tables for dining, and they provide wet cloths to wipe your hands—which came in handy since their plastic fork was too weak to even pierce the chicken and melted from the heat. 5-Piece Fried Chicken ($10.99): Drums & thighs with classic seasoning, chili oil, sweet chili honey, crispy shallots, cilantro, and scallion. The chicken had too much batter, and the Thai flavors didn’t come through. It lacked the depth and aroma that would have elevated the chicken. Tingly Tots ($3.98): Sichuan-seasoned tater tots. These were surprisingly good! The seasoning was subtle, and the tots were perfectly crispy. I enjoyed these a lot more than the fried chicken. Tingly Sichuan & Spicy Ranch ($0.49): Whoa—the Sichuan really set my tongue on fire! It was flavorful, but be prepared for a lingering heat (and possibly a hot tummy later).
Lucille is a nice vibe in Rainey street. At first it will look like a normal small bar but the moment you enter you will see that it is huge as they have a lot of open air space at the back side. When we went there was a private party going on at one of the sections and the vibe was super lit. Drinks are ok and there is no service at the table. Service and drinks aren’t great but vibe is amazing.
We stopped by Lucille on the night of July 4th with some friends. It was pretty empty around 10:30 PM. The DJ was alright--he played some good tracks but didn't really mix or transition between songs much. The bartenders were pretty relaxed and even hyped up our friend when he started breaking out some crazy dance moves. The bar itself feels really dated and could definitely use a refresh though. Lucille Special Tea ($13.85): This is made with Deep Eddy sweet tea vodka, citrus juices, and soda. Unfortunately, it didn't taste cohesive or fresh. The tea even tasted slightly warm, which made me think the bartender didn't shake it properly.
Great atmosphere for a group. Plenty of space. Multiple bars. Drinks are pricey, bar tenders are inconsistent with their mixing, but very friendly. Go to spot on a warm night. Had a poop smell to the place.
Where are the spicy men?! 🌶️🧐🗣️🗣️ Cause these boys ain’t spicy at all… I ordered the classic nugs and a sandwich at the highest spice level. I would reorder the nuggets, solid snack that 2 people could share. Sweet, salty, and a little acidic with a solid portion size. However the sandwich came drenched in grease causing a soggy bun. A flavor profile that resembled just a coriander seed, and as mentioned previously 0 spice/ crisp. I’ve been to the St. Elmo’s location, much better experience but it seems the franchising of this business has brought it down immensely.
I visited these guys a few weeks ago when they first opened. I came by early and was the first customer of the day. They had maybe 4 minutes until open but made me wait until EXACTLY time.... which, OKAY, but they could have been friendlier about it. I felt like the guy taking the order was annoyed by my being there. (Sorry for giving you money???) ANYWAY, I ordered the boneless wings with korean buffalo sauce and an order of the tater tots. The tots had good seasoning but wasn't anything phenomenal. The wings were so wet they made the breading soggy in a bad way. I ended up throwing away most of it. The sauce itself though was really good. All in all, I'd be willing to chalk it up to it being a new business and they're ironing out the kinks. I'd be willing to try again down the line, although I feel like it was a little overpriced for what I received.
Cute ambience and nice bartenders but on our way out, it was clear we were celebrating a bachelorette and one of the guys at the gate says to our BRIDE “wanna know why divorce is so expensive? Because it’s worth it.” Talk about distasteful. Ruined our experience. If you’re a bride to be, skip this one. Bitter divorcées can’t wish others a happy marriage.
The food itself was good, but my experience was unfortunately ruined by the service at the window. My chicken was undercooked and even had blood in it. When I let the worker know, he didn’t offer a refund and said he would remake the order—but only gave me one single wing. There was no apology, and his attitude was very rude throughout the interaction. When I asked for ranch, he shook his head at me, which felt extremely unprofessional. The quality of the food shows potential, but the customer service does not. I hope management considers replacing or retraining the person working the window, because situations like this really impact the overall experience.
Decided to come here because the high reviews. I placed an order for a tingly gai chicken sandwich. He quoted me 10 mins. Cool that’s standard time 6-8 mins to cook the chicken then make the order. No big deal. After 10 mins I get the food and the chicken is slightly above warm. After 2 bites I go back up and ask for a hot sandwich made fresh. I explained the one I had wasn’t even above warm and had the sandwich open for him to feel. He didn’t seem to understand. He said “more spicy” I explained “no cooked hot. The temperature. 159 degree plus chicken temp cooked”. He still seemed confused after a few minutes he somewhat figured it out. Then after 2 minutes the food was “ready”. It’s clear they precook the chicken and just make the sandwiches to order. So he simply dropped mine back in the grease and you could tell because it was overly greasy in the bread. If I’m making a comment about it I don’t mind waiting did fresh food. Not a great experience at all. But the neighbors beer was good
