I loved the atmosphere and the staff was great! The games were on and music
Nice folks, they had both Spurs & Astros on, tasty sips
Love the spot, great view, great staff. Mike is amazing.
Whoever is playing music during commercials should get a raise
Highly recommended!
Great place
Love this place
It’s a vibe
Went on a sat night and it was a cool spot. The DJ was on point! The music really made me stay longer than I wanted. Cool spot!
Fiasco bbq 10/10 bartenders great ppl From iwaynes
Very cool spot with lots of screens and decent shade. Great place to watch a game.
One of our favorite spots to catch a game. I do wish they’d switch back to the old food menu.
This is a laid back indoor/outdoor (mostly outdoor) spot overlooking the Colorado River. Really nice staff, tasty food and drinks, and they’re dog friendly.
They didn't have food the day I went, but the outdoor experience was relaxing with comfortable seating, a beautiful view of nature, and nice guitarist playing music.
Casual, chill, inexpensive, and right on the water… sooo exactly what austin needs more of! I’m so glad this new spot isn’t bougie. Great food truck, lots of bars and so many tables to hang. I’ll be back!
I loooooovvvveee this place. Firulais is very fond of it too. Reasonably priced with the best patio in Austin , tx. Might have to polish up on my tuba skills to grace that stage one day.
Absolutely love this spot, the service is great and there are so many food/drink options (everything I have tried has been amazing). Definitely recommend this to anyone in the area!
Awesome outdoor venue with live music and friendly staff. Surprisingly good menu.
A fun sports bar with live music overlooking the Colorado river in Austin on Cesar Chavez at Tillery St.
Great outdoor area to chill with friends and enjoy some drinks. Great vibes, very relaxed, not packed and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy.
Amazing intimate vibes indoors with the best espresso martini I’ve had. Staff was friendly and super helpful!
OMG‼️‼️ THE FOOD IS AMAZING! Everything I tried is great. The atmosphere is very relaxing and laidback! You will love it!
Manager was chill. Great spot to get away with a view of the river. LOVE the no kid policy!!
Always great vibes, service, and food
I haven't tried the food but I came in looking for the Texas State football game and they accommodated right away!
Food is fire. Bartenders are awesome. Glad to have some southside vibes north of the river.
Dainty Dillo has quickly become one of my go-to hangouts in East Austin. Perched above the Colorado River, the open-air backyard with fire pits, live music stage, and multiple TVs gives it a laid-back, fun vibe. I love coming here on a sunny afternoon or a breezy evening to relax with friends.
This place is amazing! Perfect to watch your favorite TV shows ans hang out with friends! Shoutout to B-Dub (Bartender, maybe manager too?) and Irene (Busser) who I always see working hard with a smile on their face despite the chaos of all of us around! Thanks to everyone there working, keep it up and you'll see more of us around!!
Very cool spot, no idea was here and will be going back! Bar tenders were fast and friendly. Ordered food off the QR code app, very tasty, ended up trying to order drinks off app too just to see and picked up at the window to skip the line. Back patio area makes you forget you're in the middle of the city too!
Nice relaxed spot to get a drink. I like how they have their TV’s setup, works well to watch a football game or a fight. The parking is atrocious though
On a hot Austin day this place is about as good as it gets. The ambiance is the best part. They have an indoor outdoor vibe, and they're indoor vibe is insane because they pump this really good smelling fragrance through the HVAC. The food is also pretty good. They have some good salads. The only thing about this place is the price. A salad without any protein is like 15 bucks plus the drink, so you're in 30 bucks with out question, just for one person. It is what it is though. One other note, you have to pick up your own food and drinks. I don't love paying that much for food if it's self-service. I would much prefer somebody run it out to me.
Love this spot! As a young adult who sometimes wants to be in a kid free zone, I appreciate the enforcement of no kids after 6 or on weekends. There are hundreds of kid friendly places in Austin, I’m glad to have the option to be around another adults in a non club like setting. Just read the rules on the website before you go!
Don’t listen to the morons who are upset that their baby wasn’t allowed inside of a bar. This place is great Austin needed a good sports bar on the East Side that has a fun party vibe. Cocktails are pricy but tasty and while I haven’t tried the food my friends all love it.
Great atmosphere! It has lots of outdoor seating. Great for watching sports with friends and family. Great view. The service is excellent. Parking can be a bit challenging. Open til 1 AM.
The group that brought you Armadillo Den did not disappoint! This east side location has it all! Biggie’s smash burgers, TVs, great service, the decor, and the river view! If the Armadillo Den is a lil bit of trek as it is for me now; this is the spot. Great service, tasty drinks at a reasonable price! TV placement is perfect for march madness coming up. Vibe is not as country as AD has a lil more jazz/blues. Keeps you close to DT with 7 fire pits facing the river and I will assume amazing sunset views (cloudy today). If you drive yourself there are 2 paid parking garages across Cesar, the front lot doesn’t have a lot of spots. *Easton Park residents*~ simple Uber ride up 183 to a mile towards DT on Cesar Chavez! This place is DeeDee and Foggy approved! 4 paws each. (Dog friendly)
Great spot on the east side to kick it, have a few drinks, and catch a game. Bonus points that it's so kid friendly. Thank you Brent and team for creating such an awesome and warm space!
Came here to watch a football game and had a great time. Lots of TVs, awesome staff, and the drinks were amazing. Best espresso martini in town!
Dainty dillo is the place to be. Not only is the staff thorough, but the food and atmosphere is unbeatable. Not to mention, sometimes I just go cause the daddies there are some of the finest in town. Anyways, all the bartenders are phenomenal but Payton lights that place on fire.
Nice views n great service, love this place for day drinking.
We did not eat, so I did not rate that. This place is awesome! Great sports bar! Outside seating BIG SCREEN TV, fire pits with their own large screen tvs. The drinks were great. We will be back!!!
Bartenders are very cool. Atmosphere is nice, watch sports games or hangout with the dogs. Food vendor was not that great but the turkey sandwich was good
I’m writing this review for 2 reasons: 1) Wyatt: he should be promoted to manager. Everything about him screams manager! He was so welcoming, friendly, & professional from the moment we walked in. I wish more bartenders in Austin were like him! 👏 2) Blankets: brilliant! It was chilly when we got here & the blankets they provide for customers came clutch! Chill vibes & great service. Recommend!
Great vibe with good drinks perfect for happy hours and meeting up with friends. Plenty of space but tight on parking, so just like the south location plan on parking down the street. Solid bar snacks in house and draft cocktails make it a great spot for a quick meetup or all day hang. Keep it in your loop if you're in the area at lustre pearl, central machine works, etc.
Mini armadillo den, a welcome add to the east side! Firepits overlooking the river with lots of chairs. Small indoor seating section and 3 TVs in total. Food on site, a bit pricey for a $15 burger but it wasn’t bad but could be better. They use the Union app to order similar to Bouldin so it’s easy to order from your table or pickup. Parking is limited, Uber is the vibe.
Awesome location with great views and dog friendly patio. Great drink menu with frozen a too plus good local beer lineup. Food was awesome too, we had the smash burgers which were juicy and delicious. I want to try the Bacon lettuce, avocado smash sandwich next time. There’s not a lot of parking so bike or ride share there.
I come here almost every week when the bachelor franchise is on, it's the best place in Austin to watch (I've tried out two other places before the Dillo). The food is tasty, the happy hour drinks are well priced, and the atmosphere is fantastic! The only complaint I have is that the last few weeks they no longer have quesadillas which is tragic
So excited about armadillo den putting their newest on the east side! Fantastic location and drink selection just like the original den. Parking isn’t great so I’d suggest trying street parking behind Grizzeldas. My newest go to spot after work!
Cool spot right at the end of Tillery on Ceasar Chavez. Tasty drinks & friendly service. Killer views and awesome firepit tables overlooking the Colorado River. Great place to end your day & watch a sunset. And, as always, super dog friendly! Two paws up from the Little Bandito!
Spectacular! Felt compelled to write a review. I brought my dog here, Gumbo, who is shy and old around 3pm on a Monday and the staff was so kind, gave her water and a piece of bacon and made her feel special! The Mexican espresso martini was fabulous. View is great. Being your dog here on a Monday around 3pm if they aren’t the most social and they should be right at home with the kind staff. Also it smells like Santal 33 in the whole establishment. Highly recommend!
My fav place in Austin right now. Beautiful view, great vibes, tons of TVs for various sports games, solid food options, tons of drinks, and I love their frozens. Just perfect Austin vibes. 👌🏼
The Dillo rocks! Get there early. Space is tight but what a great vibe. Awesome music and bands. The location has a spectacular view of the river. The food is amazing but if you have been to the Armadillo Den you already know. We love the cherry limeade with Titos. Great smashburger and waffle fries. We also enjoyed the trio dip. We will be back asap.
Summer survival bar- sun shades, misters galore & nice big trees on large outside patio. Dogs welcome, stellar smash burger & sweet potato fries, QR code menu & walk up service. East Cesar Chavez still got it baby!
We came to celebrate Cinco de mayo here as recommended by austin eaters as best spots to celebrate cinco de mayo, but this place has zero cinco de mayo atmosphere. Even the guacamole and salsa needs some cinco de mayo flavors. Maybe we should come back here for fourth of July instead 🫣 The food took forever, our friends who ordered much later got their food first so we asked the kitchen where our food was, apparently they are still catching the chicken 🐔 Parking was a challenge so we valet instead, but there is street parking a few blocks away. Overall a good isolated spot to hang out with friends regardless of what you’re celebrating.

Best part of the whole place is kids are not allowed. I hate going to unwind with drinks and live music and ending up surrounded by kids running around. Drinks are good, smash burgers are great, live music is great. It's loud so not a good "catching up with friends" vibe but if you wanna enjoy the weather and music and drinks you won't be disappointed.
Great chill bar , both bartenders were extremely kind. Turned on heater for us , let us know about blankets provided we could use and good deals on drinks. Def worth it here!
Great spot to watch a UT (University of Tennessee) football game. Fun back porch patio vibe and good selection of cocktails and beer. The bartenders were friendly, accurate and quick. Go Vols!
Awesome place to watch a football game or sporting event! The outdoor patio has separate TV's to watch your event close up! Good drink prices too! we didnt eat any food.

The crawfish was on point! Don't drive, grab an uber or you'll have to walk in the street to get to the place.
Awesome place. Food service was rude. Would go again
Food was good. Drinks were good.
Elegante
Honestly, the food was a bit of a let down but the service was fast and friendly! The atmosphere and building itself was pretty cool but it's kind of an inconvenient location as it's shoved into a pretty tight space.
Place is super cool, lovely atmosphere. Screams college-football-Saturday, as it should. Very new and “hip” so don’t take your technological illiterate people here. Everything is ordered via phone/qr scan. Then items are picked up at pick-up windows. For a regular I’m sure it’s a wonderful system, but for newcomers it’s a bit confusing, and the servers/kitchen staff seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else, and were somewhat rude when I was asking for clarification on the system. Would def recommend for those under 40yo. Parking is valet and the nearby spots are tight and few. Get there early or have a plan!
Burgers were great. Parking is valet or street parking and walking beside a dangerous road. The person clearing our table took my husband's beer that was still half full when I wasn't looking so that was disappointing.
Great little sister of Armadillo Den! Parking is not good, like the original. 😂 But everything else was! The bartenders were quick, polite, and friendly. Good use of space for how much smaller it is. The fire pits a really great touch. And nice views of the water below, as it sits on a bluff and nice sunset views. And most importantly, like the original…super dog friendly! Doesn’t beat the original but worth a visit especially if you’re downtown or on the East Side.
Nice little spot especially if you want an outdoor patio for sports and a nice view of the Colorado river. The Moctails are delicious. The blueberry mash is my top pick and they have a yummy N/A ipa. Staff is friendly and the food is pretty delicious. Smashburgers (which I forgot to get a pic) were yummy. Candied bacon grilled cheese was pretty tasty, needed a little more sweetness. They did forget to add the bacon first time around, but the staff was super apologetic and fixed it. Which we did not expect them to apologize so much, mistakes happen. 😃 Will be back for more NA drinks

I had a great time with my family here but my experience was ruined by the girl who was making the food available in the pick up window. I let her know that I received a text about my food being available and she gave me so much attitude that I would likely never bring anyone back here. What a shame.
Great patio and location but they don't take cash and service is non existent since one must use an app to order food and pick it up themselves.
Pretty good food and nice outdoor area. Was filled with Flys though and that kinda kill3d the vibe. Also half the TVs were either broken or very laggy.
The place has a cozy vibe, but the cocktails didn’t quite match up to their other location, Armadillo Den. I ordered a Margarita, but the lime flavor was overly sour. A little bit disappointed , but I have to mentioned service was excellent…. Maybe get fresh lime next time would be better
Live music and weak drinks! Had three dinks and left sober. The food was good you have to use the QR code to place an order. I didn't have my Google pay set up so my buddy had to pick up my order. Parking is not the easiest but staff was cool. Would I come back? Probably not
Beware of the valet service! Scratched my car & then refused to even refund the $9 valet charge. Then argued with me about what happened & wasn’t willing to give me their contact info until the bar themselves intervened. Cute bar, fun for game days. Food & drinks are overpriced for the quality but that’s Austin!
Just a heads up, no kids after 6 pm any day. Weekend or not. I went there on a Wednesday. I was told before getting my kid out of the car. Parking is scarce here. They were not rude. I ended up going across the street to eat with the family. Might try again without the kids another day.
Finally made it over to the east side to try the new Dillo den spot on a Sunday. The atmosphere was peaceful and had a nice view wasn't very busy at lunchtime. Parking can be a hassle they charge $9 for valet. They do enforce a no kids policy on the weekends, you will get turned away politely. This afterall is a bar not a family brunch spot. The service was okay bartenders seemed like they'd rather be somewhere else. The food options were good but not a big selection. The chicken sandwich was well worth the price. Drinks are close to downtown prices. It's a nice spot to hangout with friends if your in the neighborhood. Several TVs and mostly outdoor seating. Different vibe then the Dillo den overall but a nice addition to the east side. Dog friendly. They have some of the same signature frozen cocktails. Live band was setting up around 3.
Super cool outdoor space with plenty of fans, speakers, tvs, and quite a bit of seating. You order all of your food through an app as well as the drinks, although there is a bar you can order drinks at too. The app was pretty easy to use and I don’t necessarily mind having to use one so I don’t have wait for someone to come back to the table. We got the chips and queso and split the smash burger. The burger was pretty good but the chips tasted a little stale. All of the mixed drinks were pretty good too.
Had high hopes for this place. Came for lunch on a Friday and the kitchen wasn’t opened and told to order Door Dash. Also no parking (a theme for the Dillo Dens) but do offer crazy $9 valet parking. It’s a cozy spot but good vibes. Large TV, shade, fire pits and views of the water. Not a great first experience but will come back to give them another try.

Don’t watch a game here. They play terrible music at full volume instead of the audio for the game that every single person is here to see. Guys… cmon.
They got a new kitchen and the food stinks!
I have yet to figure why a craft cocktail cost $15 coming from a draft system… the quality taste different and yet still get charged $14… I can go to Rosevelt room and be charged $14 and they actually make it the proper way.. do better!!
I love the space but the girl delivering the food from the window was SO rude to me for just coming up to her to tell her that I received a text that my food was ready. I would not bring friends back just because of her.
Well didn’t get a chance to experience at all. We went to get lunch with the family (14 and 11 yr olds) after circling for parking and getting to door No kids are allowed on weekends only during the week. Makes no sense.
this place is OK- parking is limited and they want to charge $9 to valet your car. bartender frankly was a jerk
Most parts of Dainty Dillo are nice— from the location to the happy hour. However, the ordering process is highly inefficient and the workers at the food counter are incredibly rude. High key not worth ordering food there— it will ruin the experience.
Great location with outdoor seating and a casual vibe but the music was screaming loud - nightclub level loud inside and out. We had to leave after 1 drink
Manager is on a power trip. Doesn’t know how to treat customers. Will not give this place my business again.
This place is everything austin shouldn't be.
Bartenders were extremely rude and discriminatory.
Think “frat house with a liquor license”. With arrogant bar backs
Even when the website says Kid friendly until 6pm, they didn't let kids in. Don't waste your time if you go with family
I showed up for brunch with my baby and was told no children are allowed. This was disappointing and bizarre but I accepted the rule. However, the way this was communicated lacked any empathy for my situation (plans to meet friends & hauling my baby and all the gear to the restaurant) & the staff were impatient and condescending. My friends and I were trying to regroup and find another location to go to & were doing so at the entry since I couldn’t bring the baby past the host station. At one point, the staff said my friend who paid for a cocktail could not even finish her drink while we were all talking to come up with plan B. Extremely unnecessary and hostile- will not be going back. Also, there were literally only two other diners, so we were not in anyone’s way while this was all going down. What a massive let down.
Won't ever go back!!! but highly recommend nearby Lustre Pearl East - much better service/great drinks/food. Dainty Dillo: Valet parked, ordered drinks and were all set to enjoy drinks & lunch here before the UT vs MS State afternoon game. Our almost 20-year-old grandson - a very responsible UT Honors Program student who doesn't even drink alcohol - paid for a Lyft to join us (his parents and grandparents) and they wouldn't let him in because "kids" aren't allowed on weekends. NO sign about this anywhere in sight and sure no definition of "kids". Not to mention this isn't a "kid" - he is grown, he can vote, and he was going to be accompanied by parents and grandparents. They allow well-behaved dogs any time but not well-behaved grown children. Maybe not the fault of the "kids" working there - who weren't even particularly nice about it, but this place needs to better define its policies and make them highly visible BEFORE taking somebody's money. They won't get any more of ours.
Went at the recommendation of a friend because she said the food was amazing. The man at the entrance was extremely helpful and we had high hopes. We were there at 8 PM- they close at 12- & I couldn’t place my order through the QR code (which is the only way they took orders). So I went to the kitchen window to ask if my internet was glitching or something & the kitchen staff was SO incredibly rude. My jaw dropped. I asked how to place the order and one of the women said “do you not see the amount of plates we have in here? We’re too backed up. If you want to order you can wait 40 minutes,” rolled her eyes and then the other woman shut the window in my face. Not sure how I was supposed to know that the app wasn’t glitching- the kitchen at a restaurant wasn’t serving food. While that was happening, my fiancé had gone to the bar to get a Diet Coke & had asked the bartender if he could order a Diet Coke there- the man just said “well this is a bar.” Then proceeded to give him an all-carbonation drink. The vibe of the restaurant was cool, loved bringing the dogs, didn’t try the food, the parking was awful, and I am shocked that the service was so rude and terrible.
I was so excited to try the Dainty Dillo after seeing a rather enticing Instagram video. I shared it with my brunch group - 10 people - and we made a date to try it out Sunday, May 19th. We slowly trickled in and a couple of us were seated and served. Two additional members arrived, one with her 4 month old baby, and the valet attendant informed her that children were not allowed on the weekends. Originally we thought he was joking but learned very quickly he was serious. We expressed our disappointment and went to gather the other members of our group that were already inside to discuss how to regroup/which restaurant we should go to instead. We also called the other members of our group that had not arrived yet to let them know to stand by for further instructions. We were standing outside of the restaurant but in the shade of the building as it was 12pm in Texas in May - aka incredibly hot (and humid) and any respite from the sun was appreciated. At this time, a new Dainty Dillo employee came forward and informed us that children were not allowed at the restaurant, to which we informed him, we knew and we were simply trying to figure out our next steps and also allow the other members to close out their tabs. At this point two of our members left and walked over to Grizzelda's to inquire about a table there. Perhaps 3 minutes had passed before this same man returned and rather forcefully told our group we needed to leave NOW. I don't take issue with the fact that there is a no children policy. But I do take issue with how that message was delivered. This man was incredibly rude, verging on disrespectful, and lacked any empathy or desire to have any member of our group be a return customer. Mind you, there were only two other patrons in the restaurant at this time. The baby was sleeping and we were rather quietly discussing next steps. We were hardly ruining any "ambiance". Our group did close out and walk to Grizzeldas. We were there for two hours and had a front seat view as not a single customer visited the Dainty Dillo. Perhaps they already knew what a rude establishment this was.
Parked in front of the business where is visibly free/street parking and the valet came over and tried to kick me out because they said it’s where they park cars. Valet literally tried to walk up to my car to confront me. Left because why would I spend money on overpriced drinks when there are better establishments down the street
