They flat out refuse to let me order my food the way I want it for delivery. I often get the California burger but the option to have it with grilled chicken is not available on doordash. When we called the location to verify if this could be amended in someway the response was essentially "we don't do that" and then they hung up the phone. I can order for pick up but I should be able to have all the same options available for delivery right? I once tried ordering it with chicken tenders and leaving a note in the special instuctions to please instead sub for the grilled chicken but sadly it was ignored.

This is by far one of my favorite Franchise burger place, each location has specialized burgers specific to it, but I typically get the traditional bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. Always fresh always delicious and also very clean and tidy.

The best cheese curds I’ve had in Texas! Tots fries and onion rings were delicious! Kids got smash burgers I got the western everything was phenomenal and came out hot fresh and fast! Staff was friendly patient and super helpful! Nice inviting atmosphere this will now be a regular spot!

Local place with good people serving good burgers. Decent local beers selection on a handful of taps. No bar seats or bar. Medium sized place which will fill up during the rush but should offer plenty of seating otherwise. Offer fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings as well. Several protein (beef, chicken, fish, veggie) and bun choices (hawaiian, wheat, jalapeno, Texas toast, lettuce wrap). Good for dine in or order ahead online to go and skip the line. They've always been good to me at the Anderson Mill and at the Cedar Park locations. Haven't been to the Burnett store yet. For what they may lack in fanciness they absolutely make up with kindness. Go grab yourself a burger and a beverage at Moonies.

This place has THE best sandwich I’ve ever had. I got the Blue Moon Burger and had it with Grilled chicken instead of beef, with extra blue cheese and it’s by far the most delicious chicken sandwich ever!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal. Customers service and wait time were both top notch. The cheese fries are our fav and today we had the spicy ranchhand cheeseburger. Dione was an absolute treasure to meet and see working, very hard but actually seemed to like her job....that's rare these days.

I love how they experiment with new flavors for their burger of the month. I tend to order that special, since I've already tried everything on the standard menu. Grab a beer? What's better than a craft beer and juicy burger?? Nothing, that's the answer to that question. They also have a kids menu and discounted kid meals on certain days, at certain times. The open dining area and large, sturdy tables lend to a relaxed eating experience. If burgers are in your nightly dreams, or pre-lunch fantasies, then this is the place for you.

Our first time here. We had the el Diablo and the Swiss & mushrooms burgers. The service was pretty fast and the food was fresh. The buns taste like homemade and the fries are deliciously crispy. The sauce on the El Diablo burger is hot and delicious at the same time. Overall is was a good experience.

Not only are the burgers top quality, especially that Jimmy Pesto burger this month, but the staff here are indescribably awesome. They MAKE my experience here every single time and that’s why I keep coming back. And i’ll be back tomorrow, love this place. Swiss and Mushroom, Blue Moon, and El Diablo are my top 3 burgers here. Queso fries when I want something light. They never miss.

Pleasantly surprised. Much better than the Moonie's on N. Bell in Leander. Polite staff, fairly prompt service, good burger... Clean bathroom, clean tables. I went during an off-peak time, so I don't know what they're like when they're busy.

Fantastic food!! I was driving through the area and we stopped here on a whim and we were impressed with how good the food was. I got a chili cheese burger and the fam got a blue moon burger and a Philly burger. We all agreed we would come back here if in the area. Service was quick and friendly.

We always come here for our burger craving. Moonies Classic, Mushroom & Swiss, Hawaiian, Western are all great choices we rotate from. Haven't tried the apps, but the sweet potato fries are delicious. They also have an option for Veggie patties which is great. Atmosphere is normal, family friendly. Service has always been quick and I have never had an issue. Totally recommend if you want great burger with a tasty bun. We have also Door dashed before, and food was 10/10.

This place has got to be in top 5 or top 10 burger joints in Austin easily. The burgers are very good and thicker than your normal patty. Tater tots and fries are always fresh. The ice cream shakes are really good, smooth and will put you to sleep. 3 locations and you won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed everything we tried. Trashy tots were surprisingly good with the chicken in it. Had am egg added to my bacon cheese burger which was really good. Chili was pretty good as well. Only small knock was about hour before close the sweet and unsweet tea containers were both empty.

My favorite place to get burgers from! I live in South Austin but will always make a trip up north for Moonies. The buns and fries are to die for! There are a variety of burgers to choose from or you can always build your own. They also have hot dogs and some appetizers, and even desserts like ice cream and snow cones! There's never a long wait and the staff does a great job of keeping everything clean, and they check up on you to make sure everything is good. There's also outside sitting and if you have a dog, they'll provide you a dog bowl to give them water in.

Me and my son went for the first time and we enjoyed the food there he had the classic cheese burger and I had the fried chicken sandwich. The awesome part is that you can have any protein choice to any setup that is on the menu made to your preference and the options for potatoes are many! Great customer service as well!

I have a little one, so we go to Catch air next door ( recommend check reviews) and then head over for some dinner. Highly recommend this place. Give it a shot at least once. so amazing! i took my sped students erik and damauri here and they had a ball! i was impresed by the workers patience despite taking 23 minutes to order. when the burgers came, the boys had a lot of fun throwing them at customers🤪. the staff were so amazing they gereously gave them milkshakes! there moods didnt change considering damauri felt mischievious and spread everything across the stove. when it came time to leave erik couldnt remember how to exit a building. this problem was quickly solved when a worker showed him how. unfortunately, he used this knowledge to his advantage and ran around the busy parking lot, stole a cops gun, and shot a man. but we didnt need to worry for long as the same staff member was able to tranquilize him. would definitley come back. 67/10!!!

They have really good burgers. Some of them are pretty creative combos. The have more sides than the usual fries or onion rings, including fried mushrooms. A little pricier, but the quality justifies it.

Burgers are large and cooked perfectly. Great craft buns. I'm not sure if they are baked in house or not, but they are very fresh, soft, and tasty. Hand spun milkshakes were excellent. Battered French fries were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend for a quality burger.

It’s my third time ordering from here (three consecutive days in a row, I’m clearly embarrassing myself). I’m really disappointed, because each day I told myself I’d take a picture of the cookies and cream milkshake for a review, and I keep forgetting. Obviously the milkshake is to die for and I don’t care if I fart up a storm after. It’s just worth it. The fries? So crispy…and the mushroom n Swiss burger? WOW. I promise to take a photo next time because this review doesn’t do justice. I can’t get over the shake.

We love this place. Gluten free buns and gluten free fryer for fries and tots. Lots of choices, and great shakes. Cartoons on the TVs. Just a fun local family burger and shake joint - the type that used to be everywhere. Any time my kids get to pick the restaurant this is what they pick. Can’t argue with that.

Moonies Burger House is an Austin staple for fast, fresh,and fairly priced burgers. I've never been a big fan of being surrounded by TVs everywhere you look, but a small price to pay for a good consistent burger. Aside from from the burgers, their fries & tots are always crispy and hot. You can't ever go wrong with a side of queso either! It doesn't break any barriers in the burger world, but it'll certainly make you happy you came.

I've tried 2 locations and I must say this location beats the other by a longshot. Always clean, staff always friendly, and food is always fresh. The extended menu also gives and extra point to this location, being able to see what's available is proper service and Anderson location does it well. If it's not coming from this location I don't want it.

This is the 2nd time I’ve tried Moonies Burgerhouse on 183. This time the wait was longer & my burger came out without the gator tots. I was told it would take 3 min to drop & i decided I didn’t want to eat tots by themselves. I asked for a refund & said never mind. However, they were already dropped & served hot & fresh! They even returned my money which I feel bad about. The food is really tasty, I ordered the El Diablo & the spice does not disappoint. I will be back! Oh & the employees were all so nice & friendly!! My family has been coming to the Anderson Mill location for decades. This is a solid burger joint. Good sides. All have gluten free options. On my most recent visit the French fries were incredibly salty. So salty that neither my wife or I could finish them. I'm sure they would have replaced them but we were in a hurry. That's my only complaint in all my visits.

I've passed by this place several times and finally decided to give them a shot. I'm really glad I did. These aren't your regular burgers. The food is artisan, and the place has a rich history. The staff is all smiles, great attitudes and very helpful. If you don't eat meat, you'll be ok with their vegan and veggie burgers. If you eat meat but not beef, try the turkey burger 🔥

Moonie's has a dozen or so different burger options ranging from the classic cheese/lettuce/tomato, BBQ/cheddar/bacon, or the spicy Diablo with jalapeño, Sriracha, and Chipotle. Various cheese options, raw or grilled onions, pickles, and all the typical toppings you would expect. Of course you can create your own favorite combo as well. Fries, tater tots, and onion rings are popular sides here. There are a few dessert options too. The buns are fresh and a delicious, which is a critical part of a good burger many places fail on. Order at the counter and your food is brought out to your table when ready.

For this weekend's burger place we selected Moonies Burger House by Anderson Mill for lunch. I tried their "El Diablo" Burger with fries and drink (Yes, the combo). The bun and the pattie were excellent. Based on the description, I was expecting the burger to be a little bit more spicy but it was not... Not sure if it was a mistake or something was missing. Either way, it was a very good burger for the price and will definitely deserve a more frequent visit from us. January update: It has been confirmed... El Diablo Burger really ROCKS. 😋😋😋

Dude. The Moonie's melt is unreasonably good! The sauce is tasty without overpowering the beef flavor, the grilled onions are soft but still have some bite to them, and the cheese is both stretchy and melty (combo of American and Swiss). 10/10 would order again

This is a nice little spot to try out if in area The food seemed of good quality, but it took a good 25+ min to receive just a burger and no sides. I would try something different next time, as mine wasn’t the best from description to reality. Just cheese and burger and onions, could have been better if I thought to add some lettuce and tomato. But that’s more on me, went non-traditional burger They ask for tip here, so out the door I was in the $13 range for just a burger.. would be more likely to come back without requesting a tip as that puts you in a more expensive tier. I like the very open atmosphere with lots of windows. But it would be a bit tricky if you do not want your kids to watch TV all the time as they are surrounded lol. Sweet potato fries are super crunch/crispy that I have not tired something like that. Loved it! And I had Swiss & mushroom burger, it was good with mushroom and juicy. The bun is different than the ones I tried before, more chewy and bigger(?). I would recommend.

The burger was not very good. The bun was very sweet and thick and the burger patty was pretty thick itself but didn't taste like great quality. The fries were good and the customer service was good as well. I was surprised to be disappointed from all the previous reviews. The restaurant was really cold, but I'm sure this would be an oasis in the summer heat.

When i got my water cup the register guy put the number card that is used by many people on the lip of my water cup and totally grossed me out !!

It's been a few days since I visited Moonies, I really wanted to let my feelings marinate before posting. But, unfortunately it hasn't made my opinion any better. While better than fast food, it's somewhat on the same level as short stop? The burger meat itself is dripping in grease, but doesn't taste seasoned at all. It feels like maybe they're hoping the sauce and the toppings will compensate for that, so that was disappointing. I got the Diablo and the Jalapeños in it seemed like they'd just been cut fresh rather than grilled. Overall, it was just an okay burger.

Nut allergy friendly. I ordered the Diablo with sweet potato fries and tater tots to go and it took about 20 minutes to be ready (arrived early and waited). I sampled the sweet potato fries and tater tots as I picked up my order. The sweet potato fries came out hot and seemingly crispy. I later saw and tasted that they were really just overloaded with salt, which contributed to the texture. (3/5) The tater tots were already soggy when I picked up and weren't anything special. (1.5/5) I will say that the portions of sides are decently generous. The Diablo burger was requested medium rare and I got something closer to medium. It was a very messy to eat burger but I'd say it compares against other specialty burger places. Nice kick with fresh ingredients and decently sized. (3.5/5) Overall I'd say it's an average diner experience with a decent burger.

I rarely if ever leave bad reviews, but in this case I couldn’t not. The fried pickles we ordered (8$) came thrown in an open paper bag leaking grease with nearly no batter on them. Really gross and didn’t even get eaten by any of the three of us. Burgers were good. Don’t get the fried pickles

First, a warning. I came around 1:30 on a Sunday. No line, only about 3 tables waiting for food, no to-go orders coming out, and I waited 18 minutes for their basic bacon burger and fries. I'm definitely not coming here when it's busy. Also, the order taker did not say a single word to me besides the price when I was done ordering; he just stared at me until I started talking. The food is a step above most fast food, but it's average across the board. Chewy bacon you barely notice is there, generic crispy battered fries, and a quarter-pound patty that's a little too done. Don't be afraid of the sweet bread; as someone who doesn't like Hawaiian bread at all, these buns are not near that level of sweetness and they work well. TLDR: Average food, no harm in giving them a try, very slow so probably don't come when it's busy.

Grilled cheese and tots were pretty good. Kids liked those. But the burger was burnt and tasted like a frozen patty bought at Sysco. No reason to exist in a world that has Mighty Fine or P Terry’s.

Disappointed. The things we ordered were ok to unimpressive. Burgers were small, steak was only ok because it was accompanied by melted cheese. Chili was too much of the same. Everything seemed a bit overpriced especially for what we got. There were several things we wanted like a side of chicken fingers for our son but we were told they couldn’t do that or had anyone with the power to make that happen. We would have to order the whole meal or nothing (what a way to lose revenue). As seen in some other reviews, we also were greeted with “are you here to order?!” Who greets like that? Of course we are coming into the restaurant to order and eat food. We totally got the vibe that we weren’t wanted there, which continued to the cashier who wasn’t helpful, short responses, and appeared like he couldn’t wait for us to be done ordering. Poor customer service, overpriced, and mediocre food. Wouldn’t recommend.

One big fat MEH! The burgers look appealing. That’s about as far as it goes. After that, I’ve never had a thicker piece of tasteless meat in my life. Literally tasteless. Had the bacon cheeseburger. Buns were not fresh and were tough to chew. Cheese was tasteless. About all I could taste was the bacon and even it was muted. Not even the lettuce, tomato or onion could save it. An attractive nothing burger.

I really had high hopes for this place because of the reviews, but the food wasn’t that great. For starters, the meat patty was bland and dry. I also ordered a frito pie and it was absolutely terrible. The chili had a weird herbaceous taste and it was salty. The trashy tots were okay, but the onion rings were the best thing I tasted. 3/10 for me; would not recommend.

Was in my meal, and the manager or employee, put paint oil and fell all the overspray near my meal I could not finish eating, must gacer eaos work in hours not to serve food👎

So I am a burger FANATIC! So this review isn't easy for me. The burger itself was well below even mediocre.. it was dry and unseasoned. It was supposed to come with fried jalapeños on it, well it did have jalapeños, a total of 3, but that was the poorest excuse of breading I've ever seen... only 1 jalapeño was breaded and it was half breaded. I got a total of 16 tots as well... for 3.99$... I will say though the tots were the best part of the whole meal even though the portion was enough to barely feed a toddler. The customer service was good, they are an efficient team. But this place absolutely lacks quality. It's sad because it has so much potential to be the best of the best!! With this said, you may feel free to try this out if you are nit a burger Connoisseur and have a totally better experience. As for me and mine, well we won't be eating this overpriced low quality burger spot again.

I’m not one to make reviews but i felt like i needed to today. I am from San Antonio and was wanting to try something from out of town. and as i’m starting to eat my food i see something. Not sure what it was , i pulled it out and took a better look and a picture. ITS A MAGGOT! I spoke with the manager and they respond with “oh wow cool” and crushed it with his hand and threw it out and walked away. Not even an apology or nothing!

This is the second time ive gotten a build your own burger and by the time i got home i noticed they completely forgot to put on toppings that cost extra. Its extremely frustrating to get their orders to go and feel ripped off when you get home

This place is expensive and doesn't provide the customer service to back it up. At check out on the screen they have the audacity to ask for a tip as if they're some how entitled. Positive thoughts, the cooks made the order correct and cooked it properly. Everything else here is a dumpster fire. Not worth it. Faster at Burger King too.

Don’t ever order a shake!! Took 20 min to make 2 shakes. At least she apologized for the delay!?! Couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t that busy either. Only come for the burgers! Got home and asked my burger to be well done!?? Does this look well done? (See photo).

I finished my burger (which was nice) and my kids were hesitant to eat theirs, one of them said he was done not even half way, so I took a piece of his burger and eat it to my surprise that flavor was so plain, cheese seems and taste low quality, not even melted, patty was half thick of the adults burger and very plain flavor. kids burger is $6.50 + $0.50 for cheese making it $7, make yourself a favor and pay the $7.50 adult burger and ask for no vegetables if you are bringing kids, patty alone is day and night from adult burger to kids burger. I cannot understand why the owner is trying to rip off with this low quality kids burger instead of making it with good ingredients to taste good as the adult burger.
