This food never fails here. If you like Korean Fried Chicken, this is the spot. I just wish there were more locations around, there’s a competitor in Edison, but Bonchon is much better in my opinion. Because of the location, hours and lack of closer chains, I don’t get to come here often, but since I was in the area, I circled the block several times in anticipation of fulfilling my Bonchon craving.

Chicken wings was good. But others food we ordered were below average.

It was okay, my favorite were the vegetable dumplings. But the bibimbap had a scrambled egg instead of the regular sunny side up on top. And the kimchi fried rice barely had any kimchi and it wasn't spicy at all. The fries had a weird texture but they tasted good.

The boneless chicken here is terrible. This has to be the worst location when it comes to food quality. Last year I purchased from them and the chicken had to be old. I didn’t even eat the chicken because that’s how bad it was. Again yesterday I decided to give them another try to see if anything changed and STILL OLD CHICKEN. And the sauce that was supposed to be on it was not there. From now on I’ll just do the 40 min round trip to Nutley because buying from here is a waste of money.

Review: I had the worst experience at this place. I spent $70, and it was absolutely not worth it. The service was rushed, even though the restaurant was completely empty—it was 8 PM, and I still felt like I had no time to think about my order. As for the food, the strips I got were practically scraps—barely any sauce, dried out to a crisp, and completely inedible. For the price I paid, the quality was unacceptable. This place is seriously overrated, and I won’t be coming back.

Alert raw fried chicken!! I ordered drumsticks here and it was not cooked properly. I tried to reach out but the phone goes to automated message saying use the website. I write complaint issue on the website but no reply. I love their chicken and many others do too. I understand they get busy but cannot send out raw chicken to customers. I will not go back. Please be aware to check the chicken inside before eating or you will enjoy the rare fried chicken 🤢🤮

They fell off I used to order from them in 2017 and they were so good and now this year I ordered from them a few times and every time I order my food was hard and burnt and I couldn’t get it because it was so hard and I ask them not to cook it to hard and it still was hard and burnt the last picture is what they display how they chicken looks the other pictures is what I received a I used to love this restaurant not no more

have eaten at several other bonchon locations and always enjoyed, this one was incredibly disappointing. the chicken tasted old and had barely any sauce, and the radish tasted rotten. staff was very nice and the pork belly bao was good.

I have been ordering Bonchon Chicken for years before it came to New Jersey! They have to bring the old sauce back. This chicken is watery tasting and grease taste old. You guys have to do better or you want last.

Ordered here many times with no problem. completely dry questionable looking flavorless chicken, balls of mushy-overcooked AND UNDERCOOKED RICE for 65 dollars. I don’t know how that is physically possible but 🤷‍♂️. The rice was so bad it was inedible.

I am very disappointed by my experience with Bonchon today. I ordered and paid from their self-service kiosk. I waited 30 minutes and watched other customers who came after me receive their orders before I did. I approached the employee and asked her about the status of my order. Initially, she told me there were only two chefs and my order wasn't ready. I understood and sat down and waited. After waiting another 10 minutes and watching more customers who ordered after I received their orders, I inquired again about my order. With the 2nd inquiry, the employee saw my order was on their system, but she informed me that it didn't flow to the kitchen. I requested to cancel my order and issue a refund, but was told that ONLY the manager can do this. I asked for the manager and was told that the manager wasn't there. She took down my information and said they would call me and issue a refund. I haven't received a call back yet and will be disputing this with my bank. I would not recommend the Union location.

Firstly I would like to state I have been at this store before and enjoyed the food. This last visit was horrible and the food quality was terrible. I placed an order online and came in promptly to pick it up at the stated time. I was made to wait an extra 15 minutes when there was only one other group who was eating their food already. I ordered a ten piece soy garlic strips and chicken fried rice. The chicken was disgusting, they were like scraps of hardened chicken that were fried to death and had the sauce slopped on. Completely inedible. The rice was underdone and had like a whole red pepper in the rice. Total waste of 35 dollars.

This was by far the worst experience I ever had at this location, it used to be my favorite. I ordered a 20 pc with cole slaw and radishes. The chicken was massive and the type that looked the chicken was injected with steroids, probably cheaper, the chicken was way overcooked and not crunchy as they should be, we only had about 4 pcs before throwing it all out. The coleslaw looked and tasted as if it was outside for the day. The radishes also tasted like they were a day old. I will no longer buy from here ever again.
