The chefs at Venue clearly have the skills to run a serious fine-dining restaurant, but they choose instead to subvert the experience in the best way possible. Every bite is as thoughtfully crafted as the joke that comes with it. If you love great food but can’t stand the pompousness of traditional haute cuisine, Venue is a must-visit. It’s a place where you can laugh, savor, and leave with both your belly and your sense of humor satisfied. A Michelin star might be too serious for them, but they’ve certainly earned a gold star in my book.

If you’re looking for a unique dining experience with exceptional food, then this is the place for you. I’ve lived in NYC for over 5 years and have never experienced anything like this. Not only is the menu creative (Italian sushi anyone?), but the food is out of this world. The wagyu beef was the first time that something literally melted in my mouth. I’m not even a fan of mushrooms, yet the mushroom risotto had me wanting more. After each course I found myself thinking that that there was no way that the next course could top the one I had just eaten, but I was proven wrong each time. As for the service, it was absolutely top notch. I brought my parents with me and the staff overheard that it was my Dad’s birthday. They immediately went above and beyond to make it a special night for him including extra sake shots with the chef and candles and singing during the dessert course. Will definitely be back again and will be sure to make this my go-to spot to bring out of town visitors for a true nyc experience!

This place completely cuts against the grain in a most fabulous way. An intentionally light hearted and fun (and funny!) approach to fine dining. Have you ever had Yuzu sauce poured on your kampachi from a toy slide? From a food perspective, I’d be thrilled to get all that was served at a place that costs 3 times as much. The Wagyu steak bite might be the best thing I’ve ever ate. Got music bumpin. Funny video clips on screens explaining what you’re experiencing. A unique spin on fine dining that lands perfectly with all the pretentiousness replaced with welcomed levity. Shout out to Chef Johnston and the whole staff for an amazing experience!

Absolutely floored by Venhue! From the moment you step inside, it's a meticulously curated experience that hits all the right notes. Arrive a little early and you're greeted by a vibrant pop art gallery, often with a live singer setting the mood while you sip complimentary bubbly. Next, you're ushered into an intimate dining space where each course is set like a performance. Video, music, lighting, decor, and witty quips are woven together to create an immersive backdrop for the culinary experience. We were really entertained throughout, with many unexpected surprises sprinkled into the dinner. But it wasn't just that; the food was really good. My husband and I, both vegetarians, were impressed by the thoughtful adaptations to the menu. We had so much fun the entire time, not knowing what was going to come next! Highly recommend Venhue for anyone seeking a fun, unique, and unforgettable night out!

Venhue is absolutely the best fine dining experience. Dinner was delicious, staff was excellent, chef is the man, and the owners are the best. Overall experience was unbelievable. Bar up front was great for a few cocktails before and after. Dinner around a single table was very comfortable, with unparalleled and unique entertainment throughout. The multiple food and drink pairings were all 10 out of 10. Perfect for a date night or dinner with a few friends. Highly recommend!!

Delicious, fun and fast experience! 75 minutes goes quickly. We went for a casual Saturday night dinner and it was perfect amount of time. Great concept of the screens, reminded us of the Alchemist in Copenhagen but this version is way more affordable and repeatable.

I came here not knowing what to expect and it was the coolest experience! It’s a 75 minute, 6 course delicious meal with a twist! Everything they do pokes a bit of fun at Michelin restaurants and experiences. There were so many quirky touches like tiny wine glasses and blindfolds either googly eyes - we even ended the evening with some bingo. With each course you never really know what to expect and it’s a fun surprise. This is definitely a fun and unique experience in NYC. Highly recommend!

I’ve been wanting to come check this place out for MONTHS and let me tell you, it was beyond worth it. It was much more than a delicious meal. It’s an entire experience. They thought of everything here, down to the smallest of details. I’ve never been to a restaurant that had so much creativity throughout, even the utensils are memorable. Each dish is presented and explained in the most unique, surprising way. It truly is Michelin Star quality, and they figured out how to add fun on top like a secret ingredient. And I didn’t walk away hungry! But I did crave to go back for seconds today when talking about it with friends. I will definitely be doing that as soon as I can!

I came to Venhue for my 30th birthday and wow did they blow my group and I away. Birthday dinners are usually just your order and drinks but here they make sure to give you a FULL experience of laughter and amazing food. We were a group of 12 and the Venhue staff was attentive to each of us. Won’t give away too many spoilers — but from scenic views on screen, fog machines, sparklers, candles and rose petals? I mean they really thought of every possible way to make sure our group had the best time. Ditch the high end restaurants that only bring you your food for a dining experience that brings you a TIME. The cost is ABSOLUTELY worth it and is so reasonable. 10/10 experience, literally have no complaints.

My boyfriend took me to this elegant restaurant for my birthday and anniversary. Stepping in you’re greeted with work of art and an inviting atmosphere. The table was perfectly set. The staff was respectful and kind. The chef created courses of food that was a masterpiece to the eyes with perfect dish placements. The food in every way was amazing. We had a great time at Venhue. It was certainly one of the most creative dining experiences I've had. The service is excellent and the staff will do their absolute best to make sure you have an enjoyable time. Both of us are vegetarian, and we chose Venhue because they had a separate vegetarian menu. Without giving any spoilers, each course was presented in some unique way and while it is "fast paced" it's still a reasonable enough cadence to enjoy your food. Also, the drinks pairing being included in the base price was a nice touch. Overall, the vegetarian food was good (although the best parts were the menu items that were shared in the vegetarian and non vegetarian menus), but what you're really going for is the sense of weirdness and comedy through the experience :)

Atmosphere was fun and chaotic but I think the food itself was a miss. Most of the courses especially the wagyu and dessert weren’t executed well. I think if you’re here for just vibes it’s fun but if you’re expecting amazing food as well, might be too much to ask for
