The food at Gemelli is delicious! The ambience is quiet & romantic. Perfect for couples date nights. Our server Ernesto was delightful. He was quick to service & very entertaining. I will definitely be coming back here. I you do visit please have the Farfalle!

A beautiful restaurant with amazing food and the staff were incredible, attentive, and friendly! I attended the Psychic Night Dinner with Brenda Lee and the entire evening was wonderful. The event was super fun and the woman that read for me was genuinely gifted! In the dining area they have a fireplace and it would be the perfect spot for a romantic dinner for two or girls night out!

This was our first time here and I must say it was a pleasant dining experience. Ernesto our waiter has a great personality and was very attentive to our every need for the 2 hours that we were there. The Bronzini fish was prepared to perfection and probably the best we ever had. We highly recommend this restaurant.

What a fun place. The main hostess is amazing. She’s super sweet and tended to us better than our server did. The food was great too. The desserts stole the show.

My wife and I stopped randomly at Gemelli. Excellent service and ambience. Same with the food. I had swordfish. It was a thick piece and cooked excellently. It was moist throughout. The grilled asparagus was tender on the inside. My wife had fettuccini bolognese. Delicious! We will definitely go there again.

Last night I had the pleasure of dining here, and it was truly unforgettable. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the welcoming staff to the incredible atmosphere, everything was perfect. If you’re in the Long Island area, I highly recommend making a stop here—you won’t be disappointed.

Hosted a dinner event for 22 people tonight at Gemelli. George the owner set us up with a big long table next to the fireplace. The Christmas decor was still up and lended itself to the festive nature of our gathering. The food was very good. We had a special 3 course menu set and everything was delicious ! The service was great, we had 3 servers tend to our table and frankly they anticipated every move , from keeping water glasses filled to clearing dishes. They were good team. Coffee and cookies and pastries rounded out the night ! A very good time was had by all ! Thank you to George for helping us celebrate tonight ! So glad I chose Gemelli to host us !

Great place! The atmosphere is so pretty as it really felt like an Italian restaurant that would be in Italy itself. I was satisfied with the service as my server was friendly and accommodating. The food was all delicious yet it took awhile, but as they say good things come to those who wait. I’m glad that I came across this place as it’s worth trying when seeking a hardy Italian meal!!

Review We had our daughter’s baptism at Ristorante Gemelli’s and exceptional is an understatement. From booking our event to the day of the party - the line of communication was fantastic and the effort George put in to make the day perfect proves exactly why this business has succeeded for the years it has. Firstly we arrived an HOUR early the day of the event ( this was my error) and George and his staff seamlessly rushed to get everything off the ground and running for almost 40 people. Without even a sweat they took it in stride and without a complaint being an HOUR early and staff not even on site yet- they had drinks served and apps out for our guests. Gusieppe was our waiter and he was absolutely phenomenal. The food was delicious and there are ZERO complaints from myself or any of my guests. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I look forward to using them in the future for all of our future parties and gatherings- even for a weekend dinner!

We stopped by Gemelli Ristorante last evening after a family funeral, to enjoy a meal together before the five of us parted ways to head home to PA and MD. So glad we did! After an emotional couple of days we all appreciated the warmth of the staff at Gemelli’s as well as the amazing food and ambiance of this fantastic restaurant!! We were greeted at the door by a lovely lady who seated us in their beautiful outdoor garden area. And the food - 💗. Everything was excellent, from the bread with olives and garlic to the wine, entrees and dessert. Their meatballs are fantastic!! Everybody enjoyed their meals, from pasta to pizza. I’ve had some really great Italian food in my 60 years and the food at Gemelli’s did not disappoint. Last but not least, I have to say our server Kim was THE BEST 👍. She put up with some of our bad jokes and even shared a few of her own (hers were better 😆). Her sense of humor and personality are terrific - just what we all needed to lift our spirits after the funeral. If you are ever in Babylon NY I encourage you to visit Gemelli’s. I believe you will be very happy you did. Enjoy 🥂

I can’t believe I have never been here and live so close. Everything from the service to the drinks to the food was outstanding and I cannot wait to go back. Our waiter was on top of everything constantly checking on us. Making great suggestions and he was funny. We did not feel rushed and the time between courses was perfect. My Cosmo was so good. For apps we had baked clams and Arancini perfecto. We shared a Caesar salad, the presentation of the salad was beautiful and tasted even better. For dinner I had the linguine and clams which was one of the best I have ever had and hubby had the seafood linguini which he said was amazing. I love that the portions are not huge so you don’t feel like you’re wasting food. We were too full for dessert but will definitely try the next time. If you have never been you are missing out.

Delicious food priced right and proportions great. Chef came out to see how food tasted. Bar tenders are friendly and make drinks to order, plus great specials and "twists" on classics. Atmosphere inside and out is great for a date, dining with friends, or happy hour . Owners are so personable.

First time here. Nice restaurant. Food was good. Service was excellent. Free parking lot. Would go back

Update: Still same after a few years. Unfortunately they took the flourless chocolate cake off the menu. Food is 5 stars. I knocked 1 star off for prices which have been creeping up for a while, as they were already a splurge for some options. I've been coming here for years and the service is always friendly and prompt. The ravioli of the day is usually amazing. It's unfortunate they took the crab cakes off the menu. If you skip the appetizers and wine, then you can have (cheaper) entrees and a dessert to share that will bring meal price to the moderate level and still enjoy fine dining.

Overall the food was good. The menu has changed since the last time we were here, ~5 years ago. Fewer choices. Not a bad thing, just worth mentioning. The decor is exactly the same. Would recommend giving them a try, especially if you haven't been in a while.

We had reservations for outdoors. When the Maitre'D noticed that it might rain, she held a table both indoors and outdoors for us giving us the option to sit where we wanted. I don't normally like to pay for Italian food as I can make it home just as easily, but this was really good food. I'll definitely be going back!

We have not been to Gemelli's Restaurant for quite some time. The food was always good as the service. This visit was not totally as expected in the past. Overall the food was good, less choices and a bit more costly.

Came here for the first time for LI Restaurant Week. Staff and service were fine. Food was good but portions were so tiny. I understand that price fixe menu is a sampling, but this was really disappointing. I frequent many different places during Restaurant week. And I have never left a place unsatisfied. Leaving hungry. Going down the block for pizza.

If I was just rating the food, it would be hands down FIVE STARS. However, although we made reservations and the hostesses were very friendly and nice, please don't go there very hungry. They are clearly understaffed. We had a male waiter, and another waitress was in our area as well tending to other tables. Our first round of drinks arrived within five minutes. However, the appetizers and the main course we had to wait so long that we thought we were forgotten. For the two of us, our bill was well over $200 plus a credit card charge of $10. Please be mindful of the credit card charge. All that said, our dinner was delicious!

For a what it’s worth it’s not worth it. Comes across as a fine dining establishment which is the case as far as appearances. And even the staff. The food was on a scale of 1-10 falls short around. 3-4 especially for the price. Most of the food was was just barely warm. Taste like soup came out of a can. Disappointing meal on a new year’s eave . We were a party of 6 and all in agreement. Sorry we will not be back.

We went here tonight before seeing a show(2 adults 2 children) . We were sat down fast, with no reservation.The food and the price didn’t match our experience. We ordered pasta with butter for our girls (no kid options on the menu) and waitress got the wrong order, didn’t offer to change it or anything so we were in a rush so no big deal. I was shocked to see that each plain pasta with butter was $18 a piece. My friend ordered salmon and it was undercooked, waitress wasn’t really around to have her take it back. I always heard about this place but I don’t think we will be going back.

Have been regulars but probably won't be rushing back. Their portions have decreased while prices have increased. If you're going to raise prices, at least keep the same quality/amount. And $20. Dollar martinis? Which literally only consists of a shot & a lil juice. Yikes!

First, the service was outstanding! We weren’t waiting long for anything and the staff was warm and personable. Having said that, the food is still outrageously overpriced. $35+ for mains that have little to no flavor. If management is reading, maybe a little bit more time spent on flavor and a little less time spent on making sure the Ferrari is sitting out front.

Calamari and wine was good, bologonese weird texture and sauce didn’t feel fresh, risotto was very soft/watery but flavor was okay, didn’t really feel taste like risotto

A bit of a disappointment. Chicken Marsala was two very thin small pieces of chicken breast, a potato crocket and spinach for almost $30 A tiny loaf of bread for five people. Rice ball appetizer was small balls the size of a quarter covered in way too much mozzarella.and some bacon. Don’t think I ever found the rice ball in there. I felt like they skimped on everything. Just moved to the neighborhood. Was looking to try a new restaurant and ordering off DoorDash. I ordered the chicken Parmesan because it sounded good. It was 30.00 and came with spaghetti. It was cold and there was only a small amount of chicken and they threw it all together in one round aluminum tray. Than I ordered a wood grilled fired pizza. It’s was cold and absolutely horrible. So not only was it my first time ordering from this restaurant it will be my last!!! So disappointing.

Food was just ok and service was super slow. We were there for over 2 hours from the time we sat and finished desert. Then I had to go look for our waiter to get the check. There are so many other/better options for Italian food on Long Island.

I have always wanted to try this restaurant as it always looks so cute from the outside and I've heard great things. I'm not sure what the problem was but there were very few families inside and the wait was forever. The waitress insisted on reading us the specials when we already knew what we wanted.... we sat without drinks and bread/olives for an extended period of time but we were patient and not really in a rush. The main issue was that I ordered salmon- it came completely raw, I showed the waitress, she took it back and had them cook it again, the salmon was cooked in the one spot I previous cut but the rest remained to be pretty raw and "jelly like", they took it back for a 3rd time and still could not get it right. I ended up being here for SO long, and was pregnant and starving and was so turned off by the raw fish I was served, I said forget it. They removed the salmon off the bill- BUT didn't offer any real apology or anything else in place of it. We brought our friends and it was such a terrible experience, small portion sizes and the food wasn't even that good.

I ate at this restaurant , 2 weeks ago. Ugh! Awful. I will never go back. My first impression was the watery ,almost clear olive oil placed on the table, with the bread, for dipping. It was clear, no flavor, almost like water. I asked for a different oil. 15 minutes later this waiter brought me a container of an olive oil , that at least had some green color and some flavor. My Cavatelli , in a tomatoe cream sauce , was piled in a small bowl, with a few unmelted mozzarella pieces on top.This bowl was sitting on a white plate. No platting whatsoever Not appetizing at all, and not much flavor. I was not offered , grated cheese or fresh pepper. My date had a steak, good choice on his part. He said it was fine. Extremely disappointed.

I wish I could give it no stars the food was absolutely horrible and the place was deserted. My guest had a shrimp dish that was fishy and it was a Gray color . I ordered a pasta that had Ragu meat mixed in . But it was like chop meat . I didn't eat it and I didn't take it home because I knew I would just throw it out I'll never go back . We also had a zucchini appetizer . It was like Is an encrusted fried dough . Hard as a rock . I hate to be cruel but the place was just not good at all

The place has totally changed, would never recommend this restaurant. The food portions were very small.One of the dishes the pasta was all stuck together basically not edible. We ordered drinks.. Gin & tonics, jack & soda When we received the bill we noticed we were charged extra for the tonic & extra for the soda. How do you charge $22 for a mixed drink then charge more for tonic water & soda in a full price mixed drink. They claim that’s how they do it. We will never go here again. What a rip off.

Just don't go there!!!!! I used to come here years ago and it was great, but something happened along the way and this place is horrible! The food was salty and honestly disgusting, we sent it back to the kitchen without eating it. The server was talking up a different restaurant she works at🤔 and then charged us full price for our uneaten meals with no discount or anything. Atmosphere? What atmosphere? We were the only people in there, which should have been the first red flag...

Terrible terrible terrible!! Had veal saltimbocca that was essentially inedible. Meatball appetizer was ok. When I told the waitress the meal was "terrible" she asked if we wanted something to take home and we declined. Waitress was very nice and accommodating but the check arrived with zero discounts noted on the check. I should have turned and walked out as soon as I walked in when I saw that we were the only people in the restaurant.

We came here on 7/1 for my wedding anniversary. We have been here before and liked it a lot, but this last visit helped me to decided to never return. The food was good. Our server was horrendous. I don’t know her name because every time she came over I cringed. She has short spiky hair and blue eyes. Every single time she came over she wanted to DISTASTEFULLY joke with my husband. It was beyond overboard to the point that she was really annoying. She joked about what happens after my husband eats his lobster…in the toilet. Train your servers better Gemellis.

I recently had a very unfortunate experience at Ristorante Gamelli, a place I had long been curious about and finally decided to visit on March 30, 2024. The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming, and I was eager to try their menu, opting for what I hoped would be a delightful dinner consisting of calamari, buffalo meatballs, and stuffed shells. Little did I know, this meal would lead to a distressing health ordeal. Merely hours after dining, around 9/9:30 PM, I retired for the evening, only to be awoken at 11:30 PM by severe abdominal pain, accompanied by vomiting, extreme nausea, and body aches. The intensity and persistence of these symptoms were alarming enough to necessitate a visit to the emergency room on March 31, 2024, which was Easter Sunday. The situation was dire enough to require IV fluids to address dehydration caused by what was diagnosed as food poisoning. Despite initial treatment, my condition did not improve significantly in the days following. I found myself back at the hospital due to an inability to retain food and a lingering sense of being unwell. This experience has been not only physically taxing but also emotionally draining, given the seriousness of food poisoning and its impact on my health. I share this review not to disparage Ristorante Gamelli indiscriminately but to highlight a deeply concerning incident that others should be aware of. Food safety is paramount, and I sincerely hope that my experience is an isolated case that prompts a thorough inspection and necessary improvements to ensure it does not happen to anyone else. Please be cautious and mindful of your dining choices, especially in places where the quality and safety of the food may not be guaranteed.

We went here tonight with our family The waiter was friendly and fun, he tried so hard to make us happy. My husband and I have been here several times before and it was always outstanding. Well it was awful tonight! My husband got the ravioli special served in a bowl of cream soup. He couldn't even eat a second bite! (Waiter did take that off the bill) My daughter got the basic cheese ravioli that was mush, I got the chicken pasta special that was terrible, the chicken tasted as if it was cooked last week (dried out and tasteless) and again the pasta was mush. Both our mothers were happy with their dishes lastly my other daughter asked for pasta dish without the shrimp In the dish after the Waiter sent it back wrong the first time it still came out with the shrimp! It seems to us that the waiter was getting a hard time from the chef. $400. Not worth it at all! No one ate 1/4 of there meal. Very sorry we chose this restaurant tonight. Sad to say we will never go back!

The owner or man whoever he was couldn’t control the three men that were sitting at a table, cursing up a storm talking about their sex, lives, motels, etc. When we approached him, he was like I can’t do anything about it. Instead, he stood there, talking to them, enjoying the conversation. Although the food was excellent, I will never be back there not one second of my life will be spent there because they were totally disrespectful.. All the customers agreed on my way out.
