The food was good, the menu was huge with a wide selection of items. Our waitress must have been oversat, because she didn't come frequently, seemed overwhelmed and at the end apologized for not providing the service she had wanted to.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Black Angus! We were greeted by an extremely friendly hostess and taken almost immediately to our table. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and had excellent suggestions. Ordered a few mixed drinks, their bartenders really know what they are doing. The food was out much faster than expected for how busy they were. The food was high quality, especially considering how reasonably priced it was. We never had to ask for refills or anything for that matter. Had the cowboy cookie for dessert, absolutely delicious. Went for Veterans Day with my girlfriend & was expecting a decent free lunch but wow, that was the best 6oz Sirloin I’ve ever had. The staff was nice and the vibes were good. Yes, my meal was free so it may seem biased but like I said, I took my girlfriend and you know how that goes ($$$). I am delighted to be back to dine in Black Angus. I have always had a good experience here. The food is delicious and really great service everytime. Black Angus is mostly my preferred choice for a steakhouse. Never had a bad experience here. The most friendliest staff I have seen. I love the Baby Back Ribs they offer. Tender and juicy, the meat falls right off the bone. The sides I enjoy are steam broccoli and french fries. My wife also enjoys the food here as well. I recommend this Black Angus. No complaints here.

My nephew got paid and was so excited to take me out to lunch. He chose Black Angus and let me tell you right now, from the hostesses, service, attentiveness yet not over bearing, gracious and the atmosphere was calming and perfect. You get your appetizers and drinks promptly with perfect portions and soon comes your dinner. The food was so good I felt like I committed gluttony 😳.

Bartender Josh and Chantelle were extremely welcoming and both were great on recommending certain drinks and appetizers, Jesse, the manager was also very welcoming customer service skills were impeccable.

I was hoping it was steamed 5/10 Au Gratin Potato's - Great taste. Didn't feel fattening. Wish there was more but the portion was measured. 9/10 Grilled Asparagus - Was what I expected. I should've tried the Mac n cheese 8/10 Steak Soup - Too salty to eat. 0/10 Molasses Bread - Delicious! Fresh, warm, soft, and sweet but not too sweet. Came free with my order. While other staff members are likely to offer similar kindness, I especially recommend asking for Maya and Mr. Nathaniel for a truly memorable meal. Some of the best steaks, and the guys in the kitchen know how to cook them. I came here several times when I was in Bakersfield for work and the only disappointing thing is that the steak eventually is gone. Even the steamed vegetables are decent (I hate most steamed vegetables!). They have horseradish sauce that I mixed with their hot sauce to dip the steak into. That turned out well.

Have gone multiple times now and have not been disappointed yet! My date described the taste as stunning. Had to wait a while to get it but it was definitely worth it! Our waitress/hostess was nice. Great atmosphere. The sweet molasses bread wasn't what I thought it would be. Came out fresh, warm, and soft but after about 30 mins was starting to dry out. Steaks were cooked perfectly as ordered, well done was still juicy not dry at all. The Ribeye and New York strip steaks are very fatty compared to the Top Sirloin. No matter which steak you get though expect it to have good flavor. Au Gratin potatoes were AMAZING they did not skimp on the cheese, same with the macaroni. Regular mashed potatoes look plain but surprisingly had great flavor. Artichoke spinach dip had great flavor also definitely could've used more cheese though. Garlic cheese bread for an appetizers is a great choice, amazing flavor with lots of cheese. Mud pie for dessert still not sure what it was exactly but it was delicious as well. Also the cowboy chocolate chip cookie is good. Comes out warm with a scoop of ice cream. Overall food is great be mindful prices are pretty high (so try to find some coupons) and you have to make reservations but would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Came again recently on June 11th 2023 and it was busy, around 6pm. Had a good dinner with Jose as our waiter and he was a really attentive and friendly. I saw they had a promotion for if you buy a 25$ gift card you get a 10$ additional voucher to use after June 20th and ended up getting 100$ worth of gift cards and got 40$ in vouchers, 40% additional value 😎 so that was cool. Got the steak flight and filet minion for the 2 entrees from another buy 1 get one free deal they had going on. Spent 56% for 2 whole dinners with drinks and got 40$ worth of coupons for later! Good deal😎 Previous review: Gone here many times over the years, food has always been good. Came here with a coupon to use and got 2 entrees and all that for I think 50$ not including drinks. Paid 68$ or so for everything and we left with plenty of leftovers. Food was amazing as usual :D

The food is always good. Our dinner started with the sweet molasses bread, one of my favorite breads. I asked for the new appetizer, grilled artichoke, I saw online, it wasn't on the menu and I didn't see any other information about it on the table or in the restaurant but it was available. It was really good and came with 2 different aioli sauce. We all had the fillet mignon, one medium well, the other 2 were medium rare. Perfectly seasoned and was very good. The baked potato soup was creamy and had a lot of bacon on top. The salad was good and was served with the right amount of dressing. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and had butter and sour cream.. I didn't want chives but it was available. We all agreed the fillet mignon and the artichoke were our favorites. Great job Black Angus! We will be back!

I recently went out for a date to The Mark and was excited. I heard the food was amazing. It did not disappoint to some extent. The clam chowder was one of the best I have ever had. It was very creamy and delicious. The valet team was very professional and attended to us a timely manner. Unfortunately, that is all the stuff I have to complement The Mark for. The server was not really attentive. I really had to go out of my way to get his attention. I ordered the Filet and literally waited 50 minutes until I got my food.

Overall the restaurant was nice and the theme is western. Had a few mixed drinks that were average. Ordered the tomahawk steaks which we ordered medium well. The steak was nice and juicy not dry at all. We also ordered the wagon wheel sampler and everything on it was really good. The salads were nice and fresh ordered the Caesar salad. Our server was very nice and was at our table constantly asking if we needed anything. Very good service. Overall it's was a nice dinner.

This was the first time visiting, I was greeted and sat pretty quick. The food was really good. The service was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Only problem I had was when I wanted to pay, I was told the reader was down on the credit card machine. But after telling the waitress the only way I had to pay was a credit card, the manager came out with a portable card reader. That was a little questionable for a nicer restaurant.

Wife and I arrived around 6 PM and after waiting briefly we were lead to seat in the bar area, they where not seating in the dining room not sure why, we where sat at a booth that was nasty dirty, old torn/tear beyond acceptable, after looking around the entire place was dirty and disgusting will not surprise me if they are planning on shutting down for good. Food was great and service even better Mark took really good care of us, but we wouldn’t be coming back simply because of how dirty the place is.

Perfect service, cozy place, food is not perfect but fine at least looks good.

Spinach and artichoke dip was outstanding as was the steakhouse salad with fillet mignon. The first to Long Island we’re a good quantity and quality but the third had no liquor. I asked them to take it off - no problem.

The food was great but the service was poor. Our server ignored us and was always asking someone else to help us. She gave all her attention to larger groups.

OK, so I took my grandma out from Mother’s Day and I ordered shrimp rice and a baked potato. The rice tasted weird and the potato did not taste right and looked green and now I have food poisoning. I feel extremely sick. I couldn’t even keep it down when I ate it. Other than that, everything was fine, except my grandma‘s steak was kind of burnt But I don’t think that’s too bad since well done as usually hard to do.

8p reservations for 4 bar area!!!! Get there, check in with the host, meet our friends at the bar, and order a drink while waiting, I did say Reservations!!! A few minutes later, the host comes table is ready!!! get up, and he is walking us to the restaurant side booths. idk. Wife says he we had reservations for the bar, no response our friends sat so we rolled with it !!!! The severe nice young lady, thorough about the menu options and rewards, because I received emails from Chris, the manager, lol coupons promos. So, I tried to use them, and it got a little confusing. Next time, I won't use it because it really was mot straightforward, and it took way too long to order, We get through this, orders in all good!!!! No, we had ordered drinks, I ordered a 25oz, NO draft out, but we have it in a bottle, bring it!!!! Comes back, we don't have it at all!!!! I oder something else, brought it to the table now, my friends re order!!!! Yes, that long!!!! On to the food, we got appetizers ✋🏼🤚🏼, supposed to have salads with our meals, no, had to ask after they brought out the entrees, SMH, RIB EYES 🔥, SALAD WAS GOOD when they arrived lol!!!! Overall, it was a terrible experience. the server did apologize. It's not her fault. This is a team failure, manager, and management dropped the ball !!!! When we arrived the dinning room was closed due to no servers. That is fine things happen. So we opt to eat in the bar area. Not one table clean and the dishes were pilled on the bar top. OK we figured they were short staff. Again being in the service industry myself I can except that. A young gentleman cleaned a table right away for us. We must have been there during shift change. The first waitress was great. She must have left and we were never notified nor did anyone come back to our table for almost 45 minutes. We had a high top with 4 people. The bar had pretty much cleared out and plenty of workers, standing around talking, and not ONE stop to clear a plate nor ask if we wanted more beverages. I ended up piling our dirty plates on the uncleared table next to us that sat there for more than 2 hours. I ended getting up asking for the bill and to go boxes. Sorry to say we took our business else were. We would have probably stayed several more hours for several more rounds and dessert. But since it was a business meeting we decided we needed to leave and not stair at all the employees talking and not one old table being cleaned nor serviced. I wish I knew the 1st servers name but I am not sure if the name on the ticket is hers. Below is what I stared at the whole time I was there.

Nice atmosphere, waitress was on top of it. Prices seemed high for what you get. Steak was good, but I've had better quality steaks. Over all it was good, over priced, but if your looking for a change and don't mind spending a little extra to get it, I'd recommend it. It's not a perfect 10 but I'd give it a 7. Remember this is just my personal opinion you may love it, so don't let this review stop you from trying it.

Dad takes us to Black Angus when we are in town. This time, there was one of those little brown cocaroaches climbing on my bench seat (near kitchen door). Of course we told the server and she asked if we wanted to move to another table. We didn't because we killed it. The food was excellent, but I can't stop thinking about that cocaroach. We should haved moved.

We went 2 nights ago and was really disappointed . It took over a hour for our food . Steak soup was tasty . Steak chopped salad not so good . French dip was all fat and really gross .I hate spending money at a restaurant and feeling ripped off

My experience with the waitress was bad. I spoke to the manager about it. 1st, on their lunch menu, there was no list of side dish, which is okay, but the waitress was unfriendly, and I felt that we were not welcome. SHE also talked fast, but I tried to stay calm, especially when she verified our order. I was already annoyed and lost my appetite because of her unpleasant attitude. To be honest, I rarely post bad reviews, but this time, I am posting one.

I ordered a salad to go, I waited for 40 minutes to get it. The salad is pathetic and definitely not a $20 salad. As I stood there and watched the workers I noticed their manager touching food without gloves, use their cell phone and then go back to preparing food. I was disappointed with my experience.

How can I decide if I want to eat lunch at this Black Angus if you don't have prices listed on the menu on your website? Not the best at relaying information to potential customers. I'll just look for somewhere else to have lunch.

Very nice waitress and staff. Not a fan of the food. It was heavy on the grease and surprisingly bland. Even the "butter" had no flavor. Best part of the meal was the side salad that came with my husband's steak & shrimp meal.

What. Has. Happened. I was going to wait to do this review, however, I need to do it now. I can say, with absolute certainty this could be, literally one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Flying from out of town, taking family to dinner, I thought BA might be ok. Food. AWFUL. Service: AWFUL Cleanliness: ABHORRENT. If I had had ANY other choice I'd have taken it. I took my family, thinking it'd be nice. I'm embarrassed. I'm ashamed. An absolute AWFUL experience. PS. Don't offer Togo cartons when it's OBVIOUS no one at the table is eating your garbage.

My prime rib was way over cooked. I ordered medium well and it was well done. They barely gave me any broccoli and it was not as good as it usually is. I think they forgot to add the garlic butter. The best tasting food today was the strawberry mango cobbler. But they didn't put enough topping on it because that's what really makes the dessert taste so good. I will be back at some point but I don't know when. Black Angus used be my favorite place but it seems like the quality of the food is going down.😣

Terrible service. Rude manager. Highly discourage wasting your time... Waited 25mn for a server to come and ask what we want. Then rude manager tried to find excuses. Served bread & butter but no silverware. Very welcoming place.

I ordered through Black Angus app. I went to pickup my order. I told the hostess my name and that I was there to pick up my order. She checked on the order and advised they were working on it. The hostess called my name and then asked me what was my order. I was there waiting about fifteen or twenty minutes; she called other people's name and didn't ask them what they ordered. I was the only black person in there and she asked me what my order was before she handled it to me but didn't ask the other people, which were a different ethnic group. I asked for the manager and told him what happened. He thought it was funny. He said that they are suppose to ask everyone because they have had issues with that before. I told him that I had a to go order a few weeks ago and I just gave my name and they gave me my order. I told him that his excuses were BS. Then he said, "Did you get your order?" My family has been going to Black Angus for years and we know all the servers in the restaurant. We spend a lot of money at Black Angus. I told the manager this happens all the time to the black community and he didn't seem to care at all. This is no way to treat customers. He tried to say maybe she asked them before, that doesn't make sense, but okay. I was there and watched everything. I know that Black Angus doesn't deserve our hard earned money when we are not welcomed or valued.

Ordered take-out, pointed directly to the salad on the menu, and still received the wrong item—with a life-threatening allergen I had specifically excluded. No refund, no apology. Manager implied it was my fault and conveniently had no business card. Bonus: no silverware included. If you or anyone you love has food allergies, avoid this place.

This review is based on the bathroom only. I have never had a problem with the food or service. Everytime I visit this restaurant the womens restroom is in horrible shape. Every Time! Come on managent, get it together. It just makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like!!!!!!

I decided to try black angus steakhouse with the Uber promotion of buy one get one free meal. I chose the 6oz steak with shrimp for $24 and added the extra $5 charge for the roasted corn, honey glazed asparagus and crispy onions. The picture says it all! Just opened to see that asparagus was burnt mush. Not even a 1/4 cup of corn. And no crispy onions. The picture showed the shrimp to be grilled not deep fried. The steak looks like a hockey puck. And it’s the exact same for the other plate. And they gave me one roll for two plates. If you want a good deal for some great steak, go to Texas Roadhouse on Ming. Never will I ever again come to black angus.

Disappointed the ribeye steak is not 21 days age Revi the one that I have it looks like just came out of the freezer put in the frying pan. No flavor tough definitely going to our back next time. They cooked it very very well the beer so it was cold.

We made reservations for 8:30 PM on Valentine’s Day and were not seated until around 9:00 PM. While we understand that holidays can be busy, a 30-minute delay with a reservation was disappointing. After being seated, it took about 16 minutes before we received bread or drinks—and that only happened after we had to get the attention of a manager. The manager was very helpful and apologetic, which we appreciated. However, the overall service experience continued to decline from there. We ordered both an appetizer and our entrées, but after waiting 20–30 minutes with nothing arriving at the table, we felt our evening was unfortunately ruined and decided to leave. When we spoke to a staff member about the situation, she did not seem concerned or apologetic, which added to the frustration. As we were preparing to leave, we were told that our food was ready. We explained that we had not even received our appetizer and had already decided to leave. What was especially disappointing was that no compensation or meaningful effort was offered to address the poor experience, despite us having spent nearly two hours there without dining. We also noticed that two parties who were seated after us had already received drinks and completed their meals, which was confusing and concerning. We dine here 7–8 times a year and consistently tip at least 20%, so this experience was particularly discouraging. While we understand the challenges of a busy holiday, preparation and service standards should reflect that. Unfortunately, this visit has left us reconsidering returning anytime soon.

Made reservations two weeks ago on open table app for indoor seating 7:45 PM still had to wait an additional 30 minutes just to be taken outside to the patio and after I said no I asked for indoor seating the waiter told me that it would be additional wait time for indoor seating. What a great way to ruin someone’s dinner plans!

We wanted to enjoy a good time with the family. My daughter's birthday is today, and we went to this place to celebrate. It was simply disgusting. What a terrible time, horrible. I don't think it's a good place to spend time with the family. A bug on my plate of food. Please take care of hygiene and the health of the customers. Disappointing.
