We discovered this restaurant through friends. They only offer a tasting menu, and it’s absolutely worth it! First, the apéritif is served on the ground floor, then the amuse-bouches at the bar, followed by the next 10+ exquisite small dishes upstairs. It’s a three-hour culinary experience! Everything is perfect: the food, the attentive service, and the ambiance. Highly recommended. Thank you, Angle team!
(This is my subjective opinion. The rating refers to the expectations one might have of a restaurant in this category. +/0/– should be self-explanatory) The experience begins right behind the entrance at a small show-kitchen. The chef has a minor mishap during her first attempt at preparation, and both appetizers are unspectacular in taste - but delicious (-) Upstairs in the restaurant, the welcome continues with squid, mackerel, and scallops. The mackerel looks wonderful, but slightly overpowers the other ingredients (-), the other two seafood dishes are wonderful. The squid has a perfect texture and is brilliantly seasoned, and the scallops are even better, with the passion fruit providing a great contrast (both +) The first course is a Fois Gras praline with a corn taco. At first, the taco did not deliver the desired flavor, but the taste lingered in the mouth for an incredibly long time (0). Next: The presentation is very interesting and the flavor of the strawberry gazpacho foam with cheese and seasonal vegetables is very balanced (0+) The carabinero (scarlet shrimp) is excellent in terms of texture and taste — there are hardly any side dishes or decorations here, which is a good decision. The crustacean speaks for itself (+). The next course is exciting and not just for show — the fish is cooked at the table in front of my eyes for 7 minutes — I really like that... even if it is perhaps a bit of a gimmick – in the end, it's the taste that counts – unfortunately, style over substance here – the fish has hardly any flavor, the mussels are a little rubbery, and the celery cream and caviar unfortunately don't make up for it (-) Back on track with the eggplant cannelloni – perhaps a little lukewarm – but interesting in terms of flavor and a good contrast in textures with the grilled meat (0). The duck is also impressive – although the meat was a little cool again – definitely cooler than the decoration/sauces (0) The pre-dessert was wonderful – a savory crunch with fresh lemon and – very interesting – olive oil sorbet (+). The meal ended with a chocolate composition – even though it was enriched with pecans and ganache, the flavor was one-sidedly chocolatey – a fruity note could have provided some variety here (-) I have no experience with Spanish service (so far); Angle is professional but not warm, perhaps partly due to the language barrier. The value of the meal is really good, and I must also highlight the creative non-alcoholic accompaniments —individually delicious and well-matched. The whole experience is very quick, which is something I have also experienced at other restaurants in Spain. A little more time between courses wouldn't have hurt, but it's better than waiting too long. Recommended.
Excellent service with tastings and select pairings to match. Having been to quite a few Michelin stars restaurants around the globe, I would have to say my experience here was one of the best. The front of house team was impressive in how they worked together to make everyone’s night special. It is a bit quiet and stuffy at first, but once the dining room filled up it became more lively. Overall, the creativity of the food never felt gimmicky, I felt an appreciation of every bite.
Angle Barcelona: A Refined Symphony of Technique, Creativity, and Elegance Tucked inside the stylish confines of Hotel Cram in Barcelona. Angle Barcelona offers far more than a Michelin-starred meal. With its blend of avant-garde artistry and rooted Catalan tradition, dining at Angle is not simply eating; it's a gastronomic immersion. The interior is sleek and serene, draped in neutral tones and punctuated with natural wood and soft lighting. With generous spacing between tables and thoughtfully curated acoustics, we felt both private and connected to the quiet energy of the room. Their openings, Mojito Cloud is a frozen puff of mint that dissolves on the tongue like perfumed mist. It awakens the palate Their fish menu, a fillet of perfectly cooked Galician hake is steamed inside a glass dome infused with lemongrass and ginger. Accompanied by razor clams, celeriac, caviar, and marine plankton, the dish is full with umami and aromatic finesse. Even the bread service is elevated: three artisan butters (salted, smoked, and citrus-infused) paired with warm, crusty breads. I’ve heard that we can bring the bread home if you couldn’t finish it and they will be more than happy to do so. The front-of-house team at Angle operates with graceful invisibility — always present, never intrusive. Every plate is introduced with passion and clarity. The pacing is impeccable, and every diner is made to feel seen, valued, and relaxed — the mark of truly world-class service. Angle offers a journey that’s worth every step — a place where food becomes memory.
Fantastic tasting dinner. Creative and beautiful dishes with excellent taste bud experiences. Lost count of all dishes and paired wines, but around 14-15 dishes over 3,5 hours. The menue included a few too many desserts towards the end, and I left the restaurant with a bit of a sugar rush. Recommend if you have a long lunch or evening to spare for fine dining.
It was a great experience and journey of tasteful dishes. If you choose wine catalog as well, then you have also good pairs per food and sweet options. Chef created delicious meals for you to enjoy. I would definitely suggest to everyone who likes fine dining experiences. Place is easy to find, starting from entrance you receive warm welcoming.
Absolutely incredible — the service, setting, and food were fantastic. Every dietary restriction was handled with grace and this was easily our best meal in Spain. As someone who has been luck enough to have visited a number of Michelin star restaurants I can say that this is one of the best I’ve had fhebplease of enjoying. 5 stars.
I wish I could give this a 7 out of 5. Every bite was exquisitely curated and paired beautifully with a glass of wine (if you get the wine pairing). This is easily one of the top 3 restaurants I’ve ever been to in my entire life, and I think half way through I had a visceral emotional reaction eating the strawberry shortcake like dessert. Reminded me of what my grandmother used to make, and is still one of the best components (see the pillow holding the butterfly). I would recommend this to everyone I meet, even on first encounter, as if my family owned this place myself. It breathes culinary sophistication!!
Dining at Michelin two starred restaurant Angle helmed by Chef Jordi Cruz. A spellbinding culinary journey which kicked off with welcome drinks and surprising starters at reception bar, followed by dining adventure in a cozy setting. This restaurant deserves the award winning accolades due to its attentiveness to guests’ dietary habits, customer service, presentation skills and plating, not to mention about its meticulously curated menu imbued with modernity and innovation. Every single dish is presented like an art piece which delve you into a joyful palate! What a satiating dinner to conclude our vacation in Barcelona.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dining at Angle in Barcelona was an experience. This Michelin-starred gem truly deserves its accolades, offering a culinary journey that is both innovative and unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was sophisticated yet welcoming. The staff were exceptionally professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about every detail of the menu. Their passion for excellence was evident in every interaction, making us feel like honored guests. The tasting menu was a masterclass in culinary artistry. Each dish was a harmonious blend of flavors, textures, and presentations that left us in awe. The attention to detail and the use of fresh, local ingredients were apparent in every bite. Particularly impressive was the restaurant’s commitment to accommodating all dietary preferences. The vegan and vegetarian options were equally as creative and flavorful as the rest of the menu. The wine pairings were expertly chosen, enhancing the flavors of each course and adding another layer of enjoyment to the meal. The sommelier's recommendations were spot-on, showcasing a deep understanding of both the cuisine and the wines. Angle offers an extraordinary dining experience that beautifully marries culinary innovation with impeccable service. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable fine dining experience in the heart of Barcelona. I look forward to returning and savoring more of their exquisite creations.
Most likely the best food experience in Barcelona. From the moment you walk through the door, you are welcomed by friendly staff, all dressed in identical black suits, through the fluid service and presentation of courses. All was impeccable and the chef's ideals were implemented flawlessly as the food was as tasty as it was a pleasure to look at.
Angle is a 2 Michelin star restaurant that does a great job of balancing creativity, flavors and techniques at a high level while being completely welcoming and fun. We had the fixed menu (185 Euros) and split a wine pairing. The experience begins in the hotel lobby with some innovative cocktails and takes about 3 hours (for lunch). The dining room is upstairs and is quite simple with a light centered on each table supported by a sweeping arch. All of the dishes were delicious and visually stunning. We especially enjoyed the crayfish small bite and the sweet corn taco with fluffy foie flakes. Both packed a wallop of flavor. The hot bread is some of the best bread we’ve ever had and is served with 3 butters (std, smoked and aged). The grouper course is steamed next to the table - delicious. The wines were nicely paired and included a beer for the chocolate dessert course. Afterwards, the restaurant was kind enough to give us a kitchen tour. The chef and brigade were quite welcoming. Definitely worthy of their Michelin stars and five stars for a fun and welcoming time.
Wow what an experience! Dinner was fully booked out so we went for lunch with paired wines (so worth it, what a journey) . It was such a treat! Service was great and the food divine. Definitely worth the visit in Barcelona! Best Margarita and Bloody Mary I've ever had. Thank you Angle!
Is hard to think that it used to have 2 stars. For me, is like a working formula-like restaurant, nice presentation and good technique, but far from impressive. Besides the desserts (great), I didn’t have a single dish that made an impression and a few were average at the most. The service is professional but cold and distant, the same with the ambience. A big no for me is the wine list. Far from what you’d expect from a fine dining place. Also, it lacked a narrative or even a story to tell. Not a restaurant is recommend.
Was good, but immediately felt sick!! I went with a group of six people, we originally had ten, but four people had to leave that day for business. The one who made the reservation called Three times and left two voice messages, however when we arrived the manager said that he knew nothing of it and would be charging us 75€ per each guest that was not there. He threw a fit and made the evening very uncomfortable. When we said then we will just go elsewhere was when he “decided to waive the fee and ALLOW us to dine(??!!!??).” The service staff was great, and served us very well explaining each dish concisely. The food mostly did taste great, some of the fish was over cooked and chewy, and there was a strong pungent smoke flavor to a few dishes like- i myself cook professionally and this was more of a over burnt smoking using the embers rather than new fresh wood with each smoking perhaps. I was happy either way with the 16 course dinner, however 4 out of the 6 of us became intensely sick within an hour of leaving. 2 stars for decent food and good service. But the attitude of the manager was appalling and food sickness the night before a 4am flight from a “Michelin star restaurant” is absolutely unacceptable. It cost about 250€ each… to get sick.
Arrogant staff and they openly say complain it to their director. Do not come to this hotel even if its free. Ventilation system is broken, broken Iron and broken Iron Board, spolied electric kettle. basic amenities are missing..yes this is the situation and they happy deny it. I will not recommend to any business traveller.
TERRIBLE Y DEPLORABLE…. TRATO ARROGANTE, DISPLICENTE, DESPECTIVO. SOLICITÉ USAR SILLONES DE ENTRADA CON CLIMA ADVERSO Y CONSUMIR EN RESTAURANT SOLO PARA PODER CALMAR A MI BEBÉ QUE SE ENCONTRABA MAL. SOLICITANDO AMABLEMENTE AL RECEPCIONISTA Y ME HA EXPULSADO DE MALA FORMA CON MI BEBÉ LLORANDO EN BRAZOS (BEBÉ MUY PEQUEÑO Y CON CLIMA ADVERSO). NO TIENEN SERVICIO ACORDE NI TRATO DE HOTEL 4 ESTRELLAS. TIENE TRATO DE LOCAL DE MALA MUERTE. MANDE E MAIL YA QUE ME PARECIÓ POCO ÉTICO Y CUESTIONABLE ACTUAR PENSANDO QUE SU EL RECEPCIONISTA ACTUABA DE MALA FORMA EL HOTEL PODÍA REPARAR, DEJE MENSAJE EN IG, LLAME POR TELÉFONO Y NUNCA RESPONDIERON NI MOSTRARON INTERÉS. DE NO CREER.
