Not fancy, but phenomenal food. I had the orange beef with fried rice. It was awesome. I'll be back here a lot.
This is a great family restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. The owners take pride in their business and treat customers with respect and the waitresses are also friendly and provide good service. You get good consistent portions. Definitely a gem of a restaurant in Barstow. Thank you for being here. Dine in or take out. Always good!
Super happy surprise while passing through town! The breakfast was what you would expect from a cozy small town Cafe/American breakfast. Cheap, extremely friendly, and my coffee stayed full. I'd take it over IHOP or Denny's any day.
Oh my goodness CR has the most authentic taste in Barstow. The amount of food served is ideal 😋. We could not believe that everything we ordered was delicious 😋, remarkable 😃. Highly recommend CR is definitely the go to restaurant for Asian cuisine. 5☆ Easy 🤜🏾🤛🏾👌🏾👍🏽🥰🧡
Chowmein shrimp and fried rice shrimp is the best I've had tried, very nice to appreciate!
An unforgettable dining experience! The service was friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. We loved the food—the fusion twist on traditional dishes was brilliant. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the spicy tuna rolls were out of this world. The ambiance was modern, with a calming vibe and intimate seating. It’s a perfect place for a date or a night with friends. Highly recommend!
Loved nice waitress lovely place food is great
Found this restaurant when Googling. My husband and I both picked salt and pepper pork chops lunch specials and we were so happy 😁. The flavor was just right and we still have some left over for dinner. Will keep this restaurant as my favorite so we can re-visit on our way to Las Vegas or back home in the future
True authentic Chinese food and Steak House. I had the Spicy Kung Pau Chicken. To die for. The owner made it as spicy as I wanted. They also have these giant Egg Rolls which are outstanding. The owner, who is also the server, insures that everything is perfect. He continually returns to check on you. The atmosphere is casual. Customers talk to each other and have a great time. I highly recommend this place whenever you are in Barstow California.
went once when last owner had it. haven’t been back since its been years. went tonight since i found out they have new owners. let me tell you the food was delicious, and portions are huge. brought home plenty for lunch tomorrow.
This was a wonderful surprise. They were understaffed, but still put out great service, and excellent food. The veggies in both dishes were fresh and crisp, the sauces very tasty, and the beef, tender, tender, tender! We’ll be back!
New owners are very welcoming. They remodeled the place beautifully. Includes a full bar to enjoy Right off the dining area. If you need a meeting place they have a very nice option for smaller groups of up to 60. Breakfast lunch and dinner and on the weekends A really nice prime rib plate at a real in value
What a great place. Food is on point cooked fresh to order. Great taste. Accuracy of my order was 100%. A little quirky decoration but more than well worth the stop.
The place is so clean. Very nice & friendly host & the food is Absolutely Delicious!! 😋 I got the Chicken Lo Mein, a baked potatoe and Shrimp Dumplings 🤤 Recommended!
Really good spot to stop with amazing food. Came with free soup and rice and love that everything came out fresh and steaming hot.

I've been here about 5 times different foods All deliciousness, Fresh food no heat lamps! Hidden gem in Barstow
Great food, great service, delicious soup of the day! highly reccomend Mondays beef cabbage soup.
Didn't take pictures of my food because it was all gone by the time I thought of it, ha! We stop here every time we come through and service never fails. We very often leave with leftovers because it's food worth reheating. The entrance driveway is incredibly steep and not recommended for RVs, drive carefully.

Went as a last minute dinner date after work with my husband. The food was great. The portions are plenty for more than one meal or to share. The service was great and fast. The server even took her break and was chatting with us while we all ate. She of course was at another table.
Nice dinner! Went here almost 10 years ago and it was awful, vowed not to go again. My students told me it had changed management and was great. They suggested I try it now. Went for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Had Teriaki chicken. It included steamed rice & broccoli, plus a bowl of egg drop soup. Very tasty. My friend had kung pow chicken. It was good, but much spicier than he had anticipated. Price was great for two meals. We both decided we needed to keep coming back!
Our first time here...great!! We both got the (crispy) chow main, 1 veg, 1shrimp. Came out piping hot and massive portions! Fresh and tasty We'll be back. Also like to mention my husband is Vegan and there were choices on the menu
Huge portion of Friday night special Prime Rib... complete meal, soup or salad, choice of potato (fries, mashed or baked) or rice, side of green beans and dinner roll plus ice cream or some fantastic egg custard... $15.25 solid 8 out of 10 for taste! Service was slow but that was because they were so packed with only 2 wait staff, well worth the wait and money. Will definitely be back.
Huge plate for average price. I can eat half n take home the other half for dinner. Been there a few times before, but I didn't feel like it was an authentic Chinese dish till this time. This dish of house noodles is quite authentic. The service is friendly, and she speaks Chinese. My friend ordered the sir loin steak. Although this is a Chinese restaurant, it serves American food as well. Overall, I would go this restaurant again with d3cent Chinese food, plenty of parking, and nice services.
Went here with my family last night, had a decent dinner. Their dumplings were very good, shrimp fried rice, beef broccoli and salt and pepper chicken wings were scrumptious. I ordered the beef ribs special for Saturday night, it was alright, the egg drop soup tasted like a mix of egg drop and chicken noodle soup. The shrimp in lobster sauce didn’t look very appetizing . Overall, we had a nice dinner as a family, waiter was awesome, drinks were always filled and he constantly was checking on our table. I hope they continue to concentrate on perfecting the Chinese dishes. We’ll definitely be back to support this restaurant until they give us a reason not to.
Service was cool food was not bad especially the moo goo pan I think it was called with all the fresh veggies and mushrooms and chicken , decorations inside are neat. Overall was satisfied oh yeah and they do military/veteran discounts 👍
Canton Chinese restaurant has been a well established business serving the Barstow community for years. It is a full service facility that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have rooms for banquets, including a large round table that seat 12 - 14 people. Complete with a glass "Lazy susan." The menu has many selections from which to choose from. Entrees are served fast, hot, and accurate. The restaurant is clean, and the customer service is excellent. Price point $$.
I ordered take out today and about two weeks ago. Sean answer the phone and took my order the last two times. He is polite, he knows the menu and makes sure my orders are correct. The food is so good I have had the shrimp fried rice, chicken egg foo young.the big egg rolls and chicken and broccoli. All were delicious. And they give you a lot you can feed two to three people with one order. Here is the chicken and broccoli and shrimp fried rice. I already ate a plate of the chicken and broccoli and still have this left. Again thank you Canton and Sean.

Food was good, but the service was chaotic. We were with a large group of people. When the server came to us, my wife and I were still deciding so we all her to come back to us. She never did. When others were being served their food we realized they overlooked us. We ordered the family pack. When they brought my soup, my wife asked for hers. They said we had to order for each person. We said we did and they said oh. When we were ready to go, we were confused because no one brought us our check. Some people thought maybe the "host" paid for it. Turned out she didn't. As we were leaving, we heard the manager or owner calling out the food people had ordered. Lucky we were still there to pay, but a couple of friends had left already. Like I said. Chaotic.
Not as good as it used to be. I paid extra for fried rice and got rice fried only with soy sauce (no egg, no veggies, that's $5 extra). I went at lunch time and ordered the mongolian beef. They didn't bring soup and I realized with lunch, you don't get soup. However, when the check came they charged for the entrée price.
This is a quirky little spot—you can get breakfast, Chinese food, and even alcohol all under one roof. I came here in the morning for breakfast, and it was pretty decent. Definitely feels like a place that caters to locals on a budget. For two plates of food plus two coffees, the total was only $26, which is a great deal. Service was quick, there’s plenty of parking, and it’s conveniently close to the Motel 6 where we stayed. Overall, you get what you pay for.
The environment here is friendly and a few patrons seemed super familiar with staff. It’s a very casual restaurant with lots of options. When we arrived it took close to 10 minutes to be acknowledged or sat. A girl who was waiting before us had said she’d been waiting and hadn’t spoken to anyone yet either. Yes, they were busy but a quick “I’ll be with you” would have been appreciated. When we did actually interact with staff they were very friendly and helpful. Although they claimed to be a little behind we got our food in what I consider a pretty fast amount of time. They did forget our drinks and I did over hear they missed a few things on someone else’s order but again, they were busy and possibly short staffed. Again -THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE. The atmosphere is inviting and the prices are SO GOOD! The portion you get for the price is unbeatable. The only issue I had was the food itself. We were repeatedly told this place had the best Chinese in town. If that’s true, I won’t be trying any other places in town because this was absolutely some of the worst Chinese I’ve experienced in a long time. And I really hate to say that because they are such nice people. We can start with the fried rice. It’s very plain and tasted to ME like brown rice. Adding soy sauce to it didn’t not fix it. I was also disappointed there weren’t much vegetables like carrots, although there was onion. I also ordered vegetable lo mein and while I appreciated the variety of vegetables I didn’t get a good portion of noodles because it was completely overloaded with bean sprouts. Maybe 60% of the dish was bean sprouts. The flavor was good though so I might order again if they took out the bean sprouts. The bbq pork was one of the most atrocious bbq pork dishes I have ever seen. I will share the photo because it speaks for itself but please note I took the photo after the person I ate with had some. He was utterly disappointed in the appearance and taste. I did not try it. I got beef and broccoli which was okay except it had an overwhelmingly strong FISH taste. The texture of the beef was soft and tender but the taste was off putting because it gave SEAFOOD not BEEF. Lastly, I had an eggroll. I took one bite and before I even started chewing the bite I was disappointed because it tasted burnt. I literally just took the one bite and that was that. I would not return here for Chinese food. However they offer plenty of other dining options that interest me like prime rib and steak that I would consider coming again to try. Overall, no matter how friendly the staff is or clean the environment is, the Chinese food that WE had here was way too far under par. I would rather drive 45 minutes into Victorville to eat at golden chopsticks than eat CHINESE here again. And as a side note my stomach is kind of rumbling after this meal. Thank you.
It was ok, nothing special really. I probably won’t order again. I’m disappointed they didn’t send chili sauce for the SiuMai. But most of all, the food was just okay so it’s not worth paying extra for delivery since they’re not on DashPass.
It's a nice little restaurant following in the shoes of it's predecessor. The wait staff is very nice and attentive while the wait time for food was around average for the items I ordered. I ordered an appetizer of BBQ pork and the king's meal (2 prime rib steaks, french fries, broccoli, fried zucchini, and soup). The steak was a little overdone to my liking and could have used a little more salt but honestly the food was overall good.

Very generous food portions and reasonable prices BUT the taste is not very good. Ordered the duck, fried rice and orange chicken none were tasty and none was finished by my family. Altho the takeout service was friendly and fast. It did not leave me wanting to go back.
Ordered chicken wrapped in lettuce. They gave me Ransit old chicken (poison.) If you don't want to get your stomach pumped. Stay away from this place. It's a house of death. Just to save a buck. This guy served me rotten spoiled chicken. Even after it was cooked, you can smell. There was something wrong with the chicken.
The wife and I were super excited to try this place. But the food was embarrassing and bland. The presentation was terrible. We took a single bite of one plate and decided it wasn’t safe to eat. and so we asked for a refund politely to which the manager or owner got very upset and said he refunded us when we never got our money back on $70 worth of food we didn’t even get to eat. This place is a scam.
The food and environment is below basic hygiene standard. The foods already got rotten.
Prices were not that bad but the service was not great at all. After she brought our food to us she immediately handed us the bill. Never came back to check on us or anything. Paid the extra dollar for the fried rice and it came out on a very small plate. The menu says no refills on drinks but another table got a refill so maybe it was just us. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The food wasn’t anything to brag about at all. No flavor lacking salt. Just all around a bad time. Don’t waste your money here.
Not good. Had seen some bad reviews but wanted to be fair and give it a shot. When we sat down only 1 other table was full. Other people, who appeared to be regulars because they called the owner by name, came in and were helped before us. The waitress was talking to the others and we had to get her attention to take our order. My friend ordered breakfast with ham and ended up with bacon and the hash towns were under cooked. I ordered appetizer egg rolls, which were $1.99 each. The waitress said $7.99 and I told her I wanted the $1.99 appetizer one. She said well it comes with 2. I said I just want whatever is $1.99. Got the bill and was charged $3.99. I complained and she said well I told you it came with 2. We don't make them single. I told her they need to correct the menu because I said whatever was $1.99 not $3.99. Very disappointed in the taste of the food as well. We won't be going back. 1st time shame on me , I won't be back for a 2nd time.
Got worst over the years, last visit three years ago, and then it was below average then. Had hoped it was a one off bad experience, no. Funny thing is the place has regulars, mainly older people. Ordered three lunch specials, all came with cold fried rice. Homemade dry egg rolls. Beef looked like left drying out for a day and really black on edges, could of been someone's leftovers. Battered chicken in s&s was dry but with heavy batter tasted like freezer burnt as well. Sauces odd taste, though the Mongolia beef tasted good when licked (unable to chew). Cashew chicken meat was tender and with fresh veg with small handful of roasted nuts dressed on top, err what. Soup was average. Could not recommend to anyone, worst food I think I have come across in over eight years. Think the trick is, is to order American here or don't enter (use side door front door locked on our visit). Final note: this review and edit was typed while sitting on a toilet BTW I had the Cashew chicken this is the four "sitting" in less than 24 hours.
The experience was horrible and overpriced. Service was rude and not customer friendly.
