They took our very large group this past Saturday and everything came out quickly and was warm n tasty. The chicken on my sub was a bit smaller then I'm used to but I still enjoyed it. The staff was amazing especially with my grandmother. We were coming from our grandfather's funeral so to have us all together for a great meal meant alot to her. Thank you for the excellent food and service.
This was my first time here while traveling for work. Everything was excellent from the greeting to the farewell. Atmosphere was that of a popular local diner. Food was a good sized portion, tasted great, and average price. The service was outstanding! Keep up the good work!
This place is amazing! The food is great! Pancakes for kids even come in Mickey shaped ears! We had a large group on Mother’s Day with reservations and they were very accommodating! Staff is all great! Thank you for making us feel welcome! We plan to visit more often as it is a great meeting place between buffalo and Rochester for our families!
Excellent experience at Settler's Family Restaurant on our way to ROC!! We were a large group travelling to Rochester Airport when we decided to stop in on our way for some breakfast. Even though it was a busy Saturday morning, Settler's was extremely accommodating: setting up a table of 12 right away. The waitress was extremely patient as our group (including 5 children) placed our orders. She offered to start with drinks, but when we mentioned we were on a schedule, she was pleased to take both drink and food orders then and there. Some of us even had amendments to our orders throughout, and she didn't bat an eye as she made the changes on her note pad. The food came out extremely quickly and was delicious! Notable orders were the broccoli omelette, the pancakes, waffles, and coffee! When we asked for the bills, our server was already on the ball and handed out immediately. Very considerate of our time, accommodating to our large group, and delicious food! What more could we ask for?! Thank you Settler's for a great experience!
There's a nice vibrant atmosphere in this restaurant, just a short trip off I90. Our breakfast (Western omelet, breakfast sandwich) was very good, the service was wonderful, and we were glad we stopped here on our trip to Albany.
The food is good. The service is excellent and it's very clean. They took a lot of things off the menu.So it's a little sparse, but their specials always seem to be good.
Took family here for breakfast brunch! First time here, impressed with quick service n food portions! Got the Settler’s Greek Souvlaki Breakfast with chicken! Very good! Would come back if in area!
Always enjoyable! Great milkshakes, delicious food. With them often offering specials/combos to add a milkshake so some entrees for under $2. If you're in the mood for dessert, they typically have a very large selection to choose from.
While visiting my Mom in the Batavia area, we came to Settlers for lunch on her birthday, and it was great! We both had the Beef on Weck which came with Au Jus and was delicious. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wing soup as an appetizer and it had just the right amount of kick to it. Comfortable atmosphere. Easy to get in and out of the building. Wonderful service to boot!
I hadn't been there in years but the food was still yummy and the service was great.
Went here for the first time and I will definitely be back. We had breakfast and the food was really good. There were many items on the menu that looked interesting. My wife and I loved this place. It's 22 miles from home, so it's a nice ride for a great meal.
Got off 90 and drove into town as no restaurants were just off the exit. Looked at Trip Advisor and ended up here as it had good reviews and was easy to get to off 90. Had blueberry pancakes, sausage and fries and no complaints. Waitress was very nice and attentive and food came out timely. It's a friendly place with a nice variety of options, including breakfast all day, that the locals go to as evidenced by there being several tables taken at 2 p.m. It's in an old Red Barn Building and is showing its age but was clean during our visit.
Wow. Obviously popular family restaurant in Batavia that does a fantastic job handling a big crowd. A very friendly, efficient staff keeps things moving along smoothly. Great variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items and plenty of desserts, too. Service was quick, food delicious, attentive waitress, even though the place was hopping! Home fries are different from any other place, filled with spices. Sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an English muffin was awesome.
Good home town family restaurant. Had picked out a different restaurant but on arrival at the hotel found out they were closed. Lady at front desk recommended Settlers. Glad she did, perfect place to enjoy some comfort food after traveling all day
We drive thru Batavia about once a month and this has become our favorite place to stop and grab bite. Soups are always delish, we get a cup everytime. Service is always good and speedy. Tonight we had the smothered chicken and the coppne sandwich both were amazing. The hot garlic parm sauce should be bottled and sold. We will be back!!!
Settlers has been around for a very long time, since Red Barn was around if you remember them. Stockton for breakfast in order of the crab cake benedict. These are very likely the best crab cakes I ever taste in my life, tender, moist, Chris on the outside, so delicious. Perfect amount of Hollandaise sauce to mix with the egg yolk after breaking, one of the better breakfasts I've ever had in my life. Home fries were good, but could have been just a little bit hotter. Hard to find a complaint. Great coffee too 😋
Clean, busy, family-friendly atmosphere. Wonderful service and all the food (we all had breakfasts but arrived and were served at different times, per our preference.) The steak and souvlakis were tender and perfectly cooked, as was everything else. They paid close attention to food allergies, and everything was served hot and with a smile. Coffee cup was never empty. If I I lived near here, I'd be a regular, for sure! Try the homefries and then, biscuits with gravy. Mmmm
Our favorite spot in Batavia!!! EVERYTHING is amazing. Dinner specials are really good and their breakfast is delicious. Incredible homemade soups. Picture is of Chunky Monkey Pancakes (bananas, walnuts, and chocolate chips). My daughter picks Settler's over any other restaurant... sometimes we have to force her to go somewhere else. Not your typical greasy "diner" food. Try it!!
We have been in New York for a week. NYC, Cooperstown, Syracuse and Niagara Falls and this is the BEST food we had. Loved the pizza logs (like an egg roll), Greek Dinner, Mac and Cheese (both the Philly and the Buffalo chicken. And the Lemon Berry Mascarpone Cake was the best cake I’ve ever had and my new favorite.
Fantastic food, very accommodating to our large party, did not have to wait long even during a busy Sunday brunch time, and also the weight staff was extremely attentive to our whole family.
These guys have the best breakfast especially their French toast stacks and their not really expensive either
We had a pleasant experience overall with tasty dishes.
It’s a family owned restaurant. I would highly recommend this place . Has plenty of options for vegetarians too
Alisha was friendly and a good server. Food was good and hot when it came out.
Visiting the area for a day, we were looking for a place to eat and saw this restaurant had a 4.5 rating on Google maps. Obviously, we ate here and enjoyed all our meals. I had a turkey dinner as prep for Thanksgiving, my wife had a salad, and my son had a kids cheeseburger that was really a full cheeseburger with ketchup only. Also, we ate pumpkin cheesecake and a chocolate cone that was part of the kid's meal. Everything was great and the waitress was sweet, attentive, and not overbearing. Most of the clients were older and yet our energetic 5 year old didn't seem too out of place. That's the reason I gave atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5.
Went for a sat morning breakfast. No wait...food was delicious..and very reasonably priced
Great food, great service. Would recommend 100%
Great atmosphere, our waitress was very nice. Food was fast and delicious.
Going to settlers for breakfast is always a win. Their food is delicious. I typically get some form of omelette. My daughter just raves over the sausage gravy and biscuits. Their Belgian waffles are also out of this world. There's always a great selection of soups and desserts. They have plenty of seating available and there's parking right on site. The service is fast and the staff is very friendly.
Absolutely the best meal I’ve had out in a very long time. Fresh food, heavy portion, fair pricing…just a real “home cooked meal” feeling.
Food was great, large portions, service was awesome, cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices.
This spot is great. I happen to drive through this area for an appointment and on my way back I decided to place an order here and it’s was Delish! I got a Breakfast Quesadilla and boy was it good. And I have to say these were the tastiest home fries I’ve ever had 👏👍🏼. It was quick easy and they took Apple Pay. Which save me from the last diner I tried to go to that was Cash Only. But thankfully this one was just a some minutes away.
GO HERE IMMEDIATELY AND EAT!! ordered the Garbage can plate? after a long hike and the flavors on this thing enveloped my taste buds, good lord I've never had something so delicious. ended with the Reese's peanut butter pie to only be met by a choir of heavenly beings singing praises of flavor and love only a family member can put in the cooking. No amount of stars can grade this place, as a west coaster moving here, I'm in love.
Great eatery! Within walking distance of many shops! If you haven't been here you should go!
We came at the right time! Just after "normal" breakfast hours, and just before the lunch rush. The coffee was good!! (There have been too many places that have weak coffee. This is not one of them.) We didn't take pics of the food, but it was also good. We had the Southern Eggs Benedict, Eggs Benedict Omelet, and the LA French Toast. We took 3 pieces of pie to go bc they looked so yummy. We are planning to return on our next trip east. We loved the sign upon entering. We were surprised and pleased to see it.
The food was a knock out of the park! I had eggs benedict for breakfast. The waitress was charming and attentive 😁
Came to the restaurant today with my best friend and her son to celebrate his 18th birthday!!! The waitresses brought him a piece of cake with a candle in it and sang him happy birthday 🎉🎂🎈🎁 The employees are very friendly and willing to help without question! Definitely will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know AND I will be coming back again!!
Staff is always kind, food is always good & correct when I get take out. Prices are fair & you can't beat that.
The staff are grat at there jod.. the food was grat. Big porshens .. A great family place...... Thumbs up to the OWNER..
The breakfast was excellent, the service was perfect. Our waitress was attentive without being over bearing. It had a family atmosphere. We live 45 minutes away but we will gladly drive there for breakfast again and again. This place is a real jewel
We came in on Saturday morning, to an absolutely packed restaurant! We expected a wait, due to it being so busy, but they were on the ball and we got our food fast and it was all freshly made! Everyone was extremely friendly and it was an overall pleasant experience.
This is a very quaint little restaurant with that hometown feeling!! Great menu, generous portions, great prices, and very friendly staff. I had their bacon cheese burger special and a banana split it was delicious!!
Food was very good, portion sizes were generous, and the service was great. It was obviously a placed favored by locals. If you are in the area and looking for a good meal at a fair price, I recommend this diner. A note on the atmosphere - the place hasn't been updated in a while but it's not run down. The atmosphere is friendly, not fancy. I was fine with that.
I would consider this as an amazing long standing local family diner. Great service. Breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. We met family while visiting family in Buffalo and meeting more family from Rochester. Great meetup on between. Our table had stuff from French toast, to Buffalo chicken wrap, omelette, and I loved their beef on kimmelweck having just been to Buffalo and not having one. It was authentic and awesome and their au jus was amazing. Great visit. Everyone shared a piece of awesome blueberry cake to finish. Highly recommend. Off I-90 easy.
Friendly staff with a bunch regulars make it a nice place to stop in to eat. The Turkey Club on 12 Grain Bread is very good. Stopped in again and had the Settler's Greek Souvlaki Breakfast. It's very good! The staff was still friendly and helpful. I know I order my eggs cooked mush more than most everyone else likes them. The cook prepared them perfectly, thank you!
If you are traveling on I-90, East of Buffalo, it is Definitely worth a short jaunt off the highway at Batavia, NY! We, as well as those who followed, were pleasantly greeted. The service, food, and dessert selection were all so Awesome that I asked if we could buy stock in this happy family enterprise❣️ The portions were so ample that we ordered our irresistible deserts (carrot cake and baklava cheesecake) to go. One should find them open 7AM-8PM every day except Sunday when they are open until 2PM. 👌
Food was excellent. It came out incredibly fast! Small town meal in a nice little shop. Everyone seemed to know everyone else here. The waitress was nice, but disappeared mid-meal. Waited quite a while for the bill. Once we spoke up, another waitress stepped right in and got us our bill. We figure the first one hit the end of her shift and had a hot date. Would recommend for the homespun taste and wildly fast food to table time.
Came in on a busy Sunday morning. It was busy and we were sat immediately at the front counter! We ordered french toast Eggs bacon Hash Browns extra crispy Topped with scrambled eggs , cheese and sausage with a side of guacamole and sour cream! Delicious! Service as quick They also sell great merchandise! Tshirts. hoodies etc
I was so hungry when I ate here that I forgot to take photos of the food!!!! When the food arrived, we all devoured it right away. I had a meat lovers omelette. It had plenty of protein and tasted great. The service was pretty quick! The waitress was on it and the food came out quickly. I would eat here again if I was in the area!

Food was okay. I got their southern omelet. I'm from the south, never had that before. Service was good. They were busy when we went.
Nice family restaurant. Good food and reasonable prices.
N8ce mom and pop style diner. Good selection of food decent prices. Great friendly service.
Good for a quick home style meal while on the road.
The Philly Mac is delicious. It's a creamy mac n cheese with cavatappi noodles, shaved steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms and topped with a cracker like crumbs and perhaps baked to give it that crunchy topping. It's a very large portion, the picture doesn't do it justice. I'll be eating it for the next few days. The staff are friendly and efficient.
Food was good and the service was decent. This is a good option for a small family sit down.
Small to Medium sized, neighborhood family restaurant. Food is great for the price. Waitresses are all nice and friendly. Service is fast and efficient.
Not a regular, but went to breakfast with a large group including kids. Eggs Benedict and Bagels were amazing. Everything was efficient and affordable. We were in and out quickly despite having several in our party. The wait staff was working hard and friendly. Would definitely do it again.
Food is very tasty, and the staff is friendly. Only giving four stars due to cleanliness. The men's room is neglected. Dirty walls, broken tiles and baseboards separating from the walls. The hallway to the restroom was also dirty. The type of dirty that shows it hasn't received attention in ages. It could be the type of thing for the employees that when they see it every day, it just fades into the background so they don't realize how it looks to somebody new. I don't mean to insult the restaurant owners, but it does make a person wonder what else is being neglected.

This is a spacious restaurant with an extensive menu. We were satisfied with the service and food but found the tip to be added automatically?

Went in for a fish fry only to find the price went up 2 dollars and they took a side away. I don't mind the increase but don't charge more and give us less! The food was good as usual and the service was good, but I don't think we will go back.
Quick service, can tell it’s a town friendly shop. In town for the night stopped in for dinner with my family of 5. 3 kids. 95% breakfast foods Not much to order than breakfast food. Couldn’t substitute chips for fry’s for a sandwich order. It was an up charge… $10 for 3 kid lemonades. Took a while to get food. Only ordered a Burger, 2 orders of pancakes and a sandwich. $60+10$tip
Great friendly staff, ordered the Crab cake Eggs Benedict, sad to say that the eggs were over cooked but the Crab cake itself was great. Daughter ordered the Ishmael and loved it and hubby ordered the country omelette, he liked the omelette better the country potatoes were terrible.
The service was great. The food is ok. It's a nice place, I'd go again, but it isn't in my top ten.
Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Price 4/5 Wait time - 4/5 Neighborhood - 5/5 Came here bc a few friends told us about this place. Had the Philly cheese sub and the wife had the chicken Parm sub. Both were fantastic. Prices are just below other restaurants and quality is better. The kids had chocolate chip pancakes and enjoyed them but they needed syrup(they usually don't) We all got water bc soda is $3.50 per person. Bit pricey, charging more than a 2L per person when I know they pay less than 50¢ for the same amount. Just went here again and it was subpar. The chicken fingers were bland and the taco quesadilla was half empty. The Ruben sandwich was the smallest sandwich I have ever seen for $14. And kids pancakes were Burnt. I know things happen but when everyone’s meal was subpar and not just one, gonna be hard to convince anyone to go back. Especially for the new prices (+50%)
Pretty good family style restaurant. Good selection, good service, convenient location, good parking, friendly wait staff, competitive prices, better than fast food. ambiance was a bit seedy.

Ordered the roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and stuffing.. found a long hair in stuffing..waitress offered to get another portion of stuffing..declined... more mashed...declined...after all said and done....she took my drink off the price.. most likely not to return in the future..
Everyone I know that lives in the area raves about the food here but I've never had better than an average meal that always seemed overpriced. This last visit to meet a friend for breakfast was a little ridiculous though. I ordered coffee and the Country Benedict breakfast which consisted of the world's thinnest biscuit topped with a sausage patty and eggs and covered with the bland-est canned "sausage" gravy. Total came to just shy of $20 before tip. The half & half on the table clearly says "keep refrigerated" and smelled spoiled when I opened it. When I politely pointed this out to the waitress and asked for some cold creamer she rolled her eyes and gave me attitude. I have yet to find a truly decent place to eat in Batavia for breakfast.
Be faster food was cold service bas terrible portions I waited 45 min for food and drinks do not come here
By far the worst service and attitude from the girls I've ever seen in any restaurant
First, please check my other reviews. I am not a harsh critic by any means. So when I tell you to stop at Panera in a NY state wayside instead of this place, that tells you something. Where all the great ratings come from, I can only assume the lunch/dinner is 1000x better than breakfast. We came in cheerful and smiling. Our waitress was cold and never welcoming. Maybe if we were locals, it would be different. (That said, the hostess was very sweet and kind.) How do you use CANNED mushrooms, corn, etc., FROZEN spinach and LIQUID eggs in your omelets? For the prices, I do expect fresh produce (in bags for restaurants) and real eggs that are cracked into a bowl before preparation. The bread was mass produced and bland. Not butter, but an oily spread. The home fries had a oily aftertaste as well. I am on vacation and expect better from Google Maps reviewers. I hope you read this review and take it to heart if you love food. Please know that alot of small town places like this can be good/great. This isn't one of those places.
High prices for not spectacular diner food. That was our assessment even before a member of our party was violently ill within two hours of lunch. Staff was lovely and it's obviously a loved local tradition, but today at least something was not right in the kitchen 😕
Says they close at 8 but closed sign already out at 7:20. The closed sign was definitely up at 7:20 now I wish I would have took a picture of it with the time on my phone. We ended up at Sport of Kings that was happy to serve us.
Just paid 20 dollars for breakfast asked the waitress if there was silverware in the Togo order she assured me there was get back to work and suprize no silverware guess I'm eating with my fingers will not order again staff is incompetent
The service was not the best. Asked for coffee she dropped off black coffee never asked if I’d like creamer had to flag down another waitress only to still receive no creamer due to her being too busy with holding a baby. All you have to do is read the one star reviews and the way the owner responds, it says a lot about the owner not caring.
