I use to drive all around Brazoria and Matagorda counties. But when I go to Bay City 9er's is always my place for lunch.

Nice staff and the food is great. I've had a few items on menu and my top item is the hamburger steak with a baked potato. The hamburger is seasoned so well that you don't need gravy.

We stopped in here while visiting the Bay City area. Had plans to go somewhere else, but that place was closed, passed by and saw this open so decided to go. Sure glad we did. We order the burgers. All I could say when they brought them out was "Wow"... these burgers are HUGE... (about 1/2 lb ) 😳 They were "old fashioned" hand pattied... and they came with fries, which were great! Food, service and prices were all good. Would definitely visit again and would recommend.

Great, greasy, yummy! Everything a burger needs to be. If you're passing through Bay City, drop in and grab a burger. It's an oasis in an otherwise barren town of low-quality everything.

These steaks are the bomb! Thumbs up to the chef! The burgers are huge! It was all delicious! Clean, spacious, fast and good staff except the girl that was on register she just needs a bit more of customer service skills. It was our first time here and she was not helpful so I didnt know what to order because of course everything seemed good on menu. Anyways, put that smile like a meet and greet kinda thing. Remember that we all go through things in life, we all don't have a perfect life but we have to make the best of what we have and were we are at. I totally recommend this place! And I would definitely stop since we were just passing by that town.

Decently fast service, really good food, everybody that works there is smiling. The loaded baked potato has to be about 10 lb. Lol. So yummy. And the crab cakes. Mmmmmmm. My coworker loved his jalapeno burger. I definitely recommend trying this place out.

I like their food. Its fresh, tasty, hot, and normally quick. Restaurant is clean. If the sun ever shines again I love to sit on patio. I could mainline their Ginger Peach iced tea. It's not fine dining but that's not why I go there.

Had to add my experience this morning. BREAKFAST!!!! It was beyond AMAZING Our first time. A girl was training so it made it easier for us to order. She helped us as she learned for herself. Our food was amazing. The food was priced nicely. Even my daughter ate, and she doesn't eat anything....ever. The atmosphere was comfortable. All around a great experience. We will be returning.

Totally enjoyed our meal. Have to share plates. Large quanities served. I also left my purse behind on my table n realized it 2 hrs later as we were still traveling. I called them and they had put it aside for me. We turned around and 2 1/2 hrs later I had my purse again. Thank you so much for your honesty. We liked it so much we had dinner n traveled back home again. Long day but happy.

The prices are reasonable, almost the same price as fast food burgers, but the food here is much better quality. This restaurant has some of the best hamburgers in Matagorda County. When we are in Bay City shopping, we will frequently eat lunch there or order a couple to go. Sometimes the meat is bigger than the bun! Great service as well.

You can order from a very visible menu with great prices and either eat in or out and take out. I've eaten at their Wharton and Bay City locations, wish there was one in Houston. Quality food and well served! As usual 9ers Grill is a great place to eat. I had been to the Wharton and Bay City locations and was sad that there wasn't one close to my home. Upon my review, I got a response from them telling me that there actually was one in New Territory. After not going out much to eat during the pandemic, I decided to go there and was super happy to be able to enjoy the wonderful meal again! The place is very new and everything is freshly made!

We had a delicious meal at 9ers. They have sweet potato fries and grilled shrimp salad with out a lot of iceberg lettuce, mostly romaine. Service was prompt and friendly on a weekday at lunchtime. I'm so glad they put a 9ers in Bay City. We liked the one in Wharton. I ordered steak at the one in Wharton once and it was poor. Best stick with burgers, fries and salad. If you have to have a steak go to K2 across the street. 🐮

The breakfast is awesome at 9ers. Great portions and short wait time. Price isn't too bad either, however it's not fast food prices either. I enjoy that I can help myself to items like cutlery, condiments and refills.

We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality. We had a baked potato and a weekend special chopped steak. The prices are good. The food was good and the service was attentive.

With 9er's, you get food that is clearly a cut above fast food, but you get it in about the same amount of time. They have a wide selection of menu choices including steak, chicken, burgers, sandwiches, and seafood. It may not compare to a steak house, but it's pretty good. Prices are very reasonable!

We had forgotten that we had eaten at one in El Campo. My cheeseburger and tots were really good. Hubby had chicken fried chicken and said it was one tough old bird. Loads of breading and not a lot of chicken. Sides were good too.

Took our order to go- was pleased with the customer service, the temperature of the food, and the freshness it was served. Feeding two dozen isn’t easy, but it was a lot less task by letting 9ers do the cooking. I’d go back for a family dinner. I would expect average food and good service. When we do make it there; maybe I’ll upgrade to five stars if expectations are met. The fifth star isn’t given as of now, because I did order the 24 meals with desserts and we indeed saw no desserts. And as far as the food went; I think it was a little pricey for what was in the box.

Nice place to eat. Large portions of food for the price. I ate lunch today with friends, I had BLT with fries, friends had Combo sandwich with fries and big salad. All food was excellent. The French fries were jumbo type. Their deserts , pies and cakes are excellent. Lots of things on menu, you orderand get a number then pay, go get your drinks at drink bar along with your eating utensils, go finger a booth, table or table outside. They will bring you your food. They do have a big room to rent for larger groups. I would recommend this place. All in all, a little more upper class fast food place with very good food. I definitely recommend. Enjoy!

You order as you come in. My grandson had Fried Shrimp Dinner w/Fries and I had a Club Sandwich w/Fried Okra. Large fileted fresh shrimp, crispy batter, really good Club, excellent Fried Okra-crispy & done. Loved the Unsweet Ginger Peach Tea. Only thing was the Fries were Steak Fries and they weren't very crispy. Very good meal !!!

First visit. Food was good. Had a small issue and it was immediately corrected. It's cafeteria style ordering and they bring food to the table. The soft seats are showing a bit of wear, were still comfortable. We will coke back and try some other options.. Worth a try.

The kids had chicken fingers which were really fresh and hand battered. I had a burger which didn't disappoint. They have daily specials that Im hoping to get to try on our next trip through. Good service, burgers are big but meat patty was a little over seasoned with salt. Got the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were very good, sliced version not wedge(which I despise), they also came out piping hot and fresh with good crisp batter. Lobby was clean as well. Plenty of parking as well.

It's an okay place. Prices are kind of high so I don't recommend a big family. Food is made to order. I do not recommend the philly sandwich as it tastes like a frozen steak puck was fast cooked. No sauteed bell peppers, mushroom or onions on that sandwich at all. Burgers are big and will fill you up. It's an okay place to get an okay tasting bite to eat. Nothing to write home to mom about.

A cut above fast food in about the same time. Burgers are pretty good here, but this time I went with fried catfish. It was pretty much tasteless. I give them 3 stars because other items I've eaten were fairly good and hope this was just a fluke

You need a much better way to view your menu's online without having to download. To zoom in on the photos shown is ridiculous. If you would have wait staff the experience for customers would be much better than waiting on a line with people who don't know what they wanttrying to decide. A menu at a table would be so much better

We ordered steak and had to use plastic fork and knife, that was interesting. Two of the workers were obviously related and were fighting and yelling at each other across the building, not a comfortable meal, food was ok but we will not be back.

It's not fancy but any means and the chair's are for young people like old library hard oaks, not comfortable at all. Food was minimal at best. It was not at all as I would have expected but it was an experience remembered. The people were kind and the place clean. Don't expect to much on the food ( quality in flavor and taste).I would however, go here before most other restaurants or places around this area for value and service.

Reminds me of an old style Bonanza steakhouse. Friendly 4and clean restaurant. A better then average eatery for this area. As a elderly person I wasn't to much on the chairs as they are hard wood without any comfort. Other then that a well kept dinning experience with fair prices.

It has been a small while since i visited the place for the first time ever. My order was fantastic but a friend's order was lacking sadly... She had got a seafood plate with fried oysters she gave me one of the oysters and it was bad, very bad. And the ugly taste stayed... i ate lemons and drank my drink and tried everything too get the taste out of my mouth. And nothing worked and didn't fade for at least a few hours.... Made me nauseous i would suggest somewhere else when it comes to ordering the oysters if that's what you would like. Hell, im scared to eat any seafood from there now.

Second trip to 9er's and it wasn't good. After ordering sat for 20 minutes when the cashier came and told us that our ticket had not been turned in that after apologizing were given chips and salsa. About another 20 minutes we were served our sides and crab cakes, mine you we ordered 2 fish, shrimp, crab cake, choice of bake potato or 2 sides plates. Another 20 minutes and still had not received the fish and shrimp. I asked, they checked with cook and was told it wouldn't take long. We got the rest of our order but as take out.

The food was really good the price was really good But the service could have been better and the cleanliness could have been better

Beautiful atmosphere for family and friends. Although the cashiers were friendly they looked tired. I am not sure if it was because they were so busy or if they're understaffed. Regardless of the hectic day they still were up to par and the restaurant was clean. I got the ribeye with a baked potato and grilled shrimp. The steak was superb and the baked potato was delicious. Both cooked and seasoned to perfection. My only complaints is the grilled shrimp was extremely overcooked and over seasoned. And I waited a long time for my food including my side salad. Which I can understand the wait as they were busy. Overall a nice place to eat.

I am not from area and was driving thru, from the outside I just thought they had a varied menu ,which they did, but I did not realize it was basically a fast food place with high prices. We ordered AT THE COUNTER , and sat down to wait after we got our own drinks. He ordered the jalapeno burger with French fries, I ordered the chicken fried steak with tater tots and fried Okra, that was my only good decision, the chicken fried steak was not a good choice. It looked good but I had no idea how huge it was , but as soon as I cut into it the entire breaded portion came away from the meat and the meat had zero seasoning ,I took 1 bite and sent it back. I kept the tater tots and fried Okra. They were both delicious crispy and breading stayed on Okra? Husband said it was because it was frozen and they just fried it. They did refund my money on the Chicken Fried Steak. I will.go across street to steak house next time .

If you've caught my review of the Wharton Texas location, you'd know the differences in the two locations. If not, then I'll make this a brief review. Prices were reasonable. Serving sizes are small compared to other similar eateries at similar prices, and, just as the other location, at least one meal was delivered cold and after everyone else in our party was almost thru with their meals. (First timers tip, to keep you from getting corrected by your server): If you sit outside, place your table number in the window closest to you, so that the servers can see it from inside. They will not come outside to find your table number. You pay for your meal, plus tip up front.. and in this location.. it shows in the service.

I've eaten here before, so I was expecting the same service and food, but the food was a letdown compared to the last time I was there.

hard to read menu. Seems to be to expensive for what you get. For the price you pay you would think they would keep up on the coffee need. Cashier taking order was a little rude as we are not used to this place. You order at the counter, they give you a number to display on the table and they delivery your food to your table. I guess if you get used to the place you will know what to do. Will not come back here.

The cheese burger came with nothing for $7 it was greasy and nasty. Wife and I ate in but since they brought out my burger way b4 her food and the place was cold I ate it b4 the bun sooked up more of the grease. She ended up taking her chicken fried steak to go they didn't give her any gravy on steak or mashed potatoes, just strange. BTW drinks were $3. WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK.

I got ribeye and shrimp. Ribeye was ok but was too salty. Shrimp were plain jane, fried but bland. Spanish rice tasted like it was old and reheated. Our other food...was burger and fries. The fries tasted old and like they were reheated in grease. The young girl at register was monotone and seemed like she didnt want to be there. I dont think ill be back.

Normally one of our favorite places to stop when we go to baycity, but the other day the manager was rude, short and seemed to be annoyed with everything any of my family members ordered. She seemed like she was having a bad day and should have stayed home that day. She made every person who ordered uncomfortable. Food is Normally great. We spent $100 and had come 4 days before and spent 65$ . Next trip to baycity ill skip this place. Definitely rubbed my entire family the wrong way.

The house that Sysco built. Chicken fried steak was one of the worst I’ve had. Batter falls right off and only half of what is under the batter is even steak. Stick to the burger or go to K-2.

Not sure how this place has so many stars. The food fell significantly short of expectations. The lady who took our order was sweet and seemed to have the menu memorized. However the food itself did not look or taste very good.

First, the lady who greeted us was absolutely lovely, very welcoming, engaging and kind. The food, however, was not good. I ordered the Spicy Sausage Scramble and upon receipt, I noticed how unappetizing it looked. Everything was the same colour and by that I mean, it just looked like all the foods were mashed together, not scrambled in a pan. The onions were enormous so I took them out although I really like onions. The potatoes were nearly non-existent and the sausage was just shy of burnt. The eggs were cooked nearly properly (over medium). The English muffin was basically just bread - it should have been toasted but was barely that. The other plate we had was the Big Breakfast (I believe that's the name) - it was okay. The French toast had an okay flavour but was super flat. The sausage links were decent but nothing special. We had looked forward to trying this place for breakfast and were disappointed. Definitely would not return.

The Service was horrible. The girl at the register with the glasses was rude and just could not get a single order right today. I don’t think it was so much the cooks fault but she could just not get any order right. I had to literally go stand by the kitchen to finally get my food because everyone after us got served before we did. All the food was cold and rather than getting fajita tacos with cilantro and onion they gave us what seemed like onion and cilantro tacos with a few sprinkles of fajita. Overall, a horrible 2 hr experience. Will never be back and do not recommend this place at all. That girl you had at the front today, needs to be either fired or watched closer. Management is extremely unprofessional. I wouldn't take the kids there unless you want them to watch the manager cussing at customers, flipping them off, yelling in the parking lot cussing at customers. It was concerning to see that this establishment would allow that to go on. I hope it gets taken care of soon. We would like to go back. The food is decent and the outside eating area is relaxing. But not as long as the current management is there.

Horrible experience. The cashier was on her phone while taking orders. She totally messed up our order and other customers from what we witnessed! Charging us for food that should have been included in our meals. We order two of the specials for the day both were $9.99. plus drinks. Tell me why we ended up paying $40? We ordered a container of fruit that was already prepared in a display. The quality of the fruit looked like it'd been there for quite a while (as in while I mean a couple weeks). So that didn't get eaten either. We left not finishing our food because it tasted like bad cafeteria food!! $40 down the drain! But money well spent to learn we will NEVER go back! Horrible staff, and bad tasting food! They messed up on alot of people's orders in the time we were there. Because they bring the food to your tables and either it didn't belong to the customer or they forgot alot of items!!

One of the worst meals I have ever had. Lettuce was turning brown on the salad, croutons were stale. Tough chicken fried steak, with batter falling off. Terrible mashed potatoes, room temp tough roll. The sweet tea was good though. Now I understand the nearly empty parking lot at 6 pm

Order through door dash. Order was really messed up. Got some kind of steak instead of hash in one order, something instead of sausage in another . It didn't taste right.

Went to order our food. The total came out to around $50. All i had on me was $100 bill and they said they won't take hundreds....i walked out. They wont get any of my money then. It isn't like i was paying a $12 tab, it was $50+, and you won't make change for a hundred? You obviously don't need my business

I don't know what this place specialty is but it's definitely not breakfast. My food came out cold because it was sitting on the counter for a good 4 minutes, I almost walked up there to grab it myself. The woman at the register had large claws which is so gross, she shouldn't be touching people's plates with those nasty nails and With such an attitude. Do not recommend.

The food was great but the service was poor. When we first walked in, no one greeted us..Then when we walked up to the young lady she was counting money, and didn't acknowledge us standing at the counter..Right then and there she should of said." I will be right with yaul"..After we stood there a few minutes..Then she was like.." I will be with u".... When we received our food.. She gave it to us and walked off.... But when the next family came in, The cashier hurried up and greeted them, and asked them what would they like to order..My family and I felt looked over and will not ever eat there again..Everyone who comes there and spend their money, Should be treated equally..

I didn't want to give a star. I'm here now and not satisfied at all with my breakfast. Eggs are watery and I ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken is four little wingettes that are tasteless and dryer than the Savannah! I asked the manager about ordering something else and she said I would still be charged for the meal I do not want and another charge for the new meal. I had no choice but to try to eat my no battered no taste chicken. Will never go back!

I went here with my mom and 3 kids. Had to wait 10 min for the woman to take my order. Very rudely she came over to the register and said "what do you want". I should have left then. The food came out very quickly which tells me that it was precooked. The salad I ordered was a mixed greens salad that was mostly the center bitter white part of a head of iceberg lettuce. Terrible. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I will never eat here again. Pathetic service. Rude and not worth the price.

The wait staff was very unprofessional arguing about who had what table using profanity in front of the customers. I ordered the hamburger steak baked potato and a salad, the baked potato was under cooked got the salad the same time as my food has to wait almost 49 minutes for are food. I rate it one star because zero isn’t an option. They are rude and the food is fair. When you pick up food to carry out, don’t plan on anything being right, packaged well, or having what you need. They also charge too much for every thing that is added. I am happy to pay for what I get, but I paid $7.50 for small tots with cheese. I ordered regular tots, their smallest size, with cheese. They charged $3.50 for the tots and $4 for the “queso” that was a tiny watered down Rico’s container. I didn’t order queso, I asked for shredded cheddar on them. My salad was hot with the grilled chicken in it in the to-go box and then packed in the bag between 2 hot meals. It was cooked, but since they included no salad dressing, even though I ordered extra, I couldn’t eat it anyway. The other meals in my order were also wrong. It happens more often than not. It used to be so good, so we try it again every now and then, but we’re always disappointed. I called about my order and they were not at all helpful. They offered me a $20 credit for my next order. I paid $70 for 2 meals that were all wrong. Don’t worry about a next time.

Girl who waited on was a little on the rude. I ordered chicken fried steak with mash potatoes. Salad was not offered with the $15.99 chicken fried steak .Which is sad ! My husbanded a cheeseburger combo . We asked for steak sauce and she went on and said they don’t give it out unless you order a a steak 🧐 She went on to say it was 99 cents for sauce ! Don’t think we will be back !

Usually the food is prepared good but today it wasn't. I asked for my Burger all the way. It wasn't. There was one little peice of onion and the tomatoes were cut off the top of the tomato, the lettuce was withered 😡
