Nice place, quiet atmosphere on the day I was there and the food was nice. Ordered a rack of ribs and chips which was on the dinner menu and I was there for lunch but the waiter told me they could still serve me that; impressive.
A lovely cozy setting and relaxing atmosphere, food was great and service was very good and attentive, first class 👍
We won a competition for dinner for 2 and this was our first time ever in the restaurant and it will definitely not be the last. The food was amazing. We literally could not have faulted anything. The cocktails were delicious and the cheesecake was devine. The service was first class. All the staff especially the younger staff were amazing and the 2 lovely men on the door were extremely kind, warm and friendly. We had such an amazing evening and we will definitely be returning again and maybe book an overnight stay. If the restaurant was this fabulous I'm sure the hotel is perfect. 💕
Great atmosphere, very tasty food. Price are very moderate. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Design are nice. Highly recommend it.
It was so nice there we got sat down in 2 mins and we got are food quickly and the food was amazing tasted good good texture the bang bang chicken wasn’t too spicey but amazing I totally recommend to and body
Fabulous food and staff, so good I went back a week later
Jospers, rather like Ten Square was a top experience. Not my first time in a steak house but it was my favourite time in a steak house. Really nice atmosphere and a waiter who was really good and went the extra mile. The complimentary bubbly was a nice touch. What I would say is a few tables where wonky. Mines included. In terms of cleanliness in the actual restaurant. Sanitizer was available and the place was spotless. On to the food. Personally went for a bit of beef and bird and the missus went for a penne pasta. My steak and chicken where cooked to perfection and so complimented by the onion rings/chips. Dessert was absolutely fantastic too good in truth. (I didn't really need it) As far as hotel prices go drinks weren't badly priced. Good selection on offer too. The fry up the next morning for breakfast was the highlight not a bad word what so ever and our table wasn't wonky. Will be returning 100% Thanks for hosting.
Booked the bubbles package. Everything about our stay and our dinning experience and food was first class! Definitely will be returning. All staff are amazing and polite and well dressed. We'll done guys as the hotel was fully booked.
The food (seabass fillet) was delicious, as well as the dessert. The staff is very friendly and professional. We will come back if ever again in Belfast!
Jospers Steakhouse looks great! very friendly staff and amazing food. Exactly what I was looking for after long walk around Belfast. Also would like to thank my employer - Toast for making such a creative campaign like #ToastRestaurantWeek @LifeAtToast
Fantastic food. Portion sizes were fantastic. Loved everything. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend!!
A wonderful place for meal, service is excellent the food is wonderful and the atmosphere is welcoming. The cocktails are excellent.
Excellent location within the Ten Square Hotel in Belfast, Ireland. Plenty of seating, and a very nice seating area near the bar, where there is live local music in the evenings. The service was prompt, and we were well taken care of. The steak and fries here were AMAZING. After having a lot of disappointing experiences in other areas of Ireland, this was the restaurant that redeemed the entire dining experience on the island. The fries are the best I've ever had, my wife agreed with this as well! Pricing is appropriate for the quality of the food, and location. When I come to Belfast again, I will certainly make sure this is on my stop list again.
Steak was cooked to perfection and sticky toffee pudding was absolutely divine. And the staff was lovely as well.
Great food, lovely friendly, professional staff. Will definitely be back.
Steak was amazing and staff was very nice and friendly. Really enjoyed the time in the restaurant.
Unbelievably delicious! Best dinner so far! ❤️
Great for work lunches. Lovely staff & super menu.
Great food, very attentive staff and fabulous surroundings. Highly recommend and reasonable prices.
This is an excellent place to spend an evening. The staff are exceptionally good. The food is to die for.
This was a great place ....fab service and wonderful steak. The Argentine Melbec not so great....had better 5 quid bottles. That said ,when I politely mentioned for their future ,cant improve without knowing your faults ...the waitress offered to change it...I said no mainly because we had poured two glasses. Later the front of house guy with the long beard came over offered and didn't take no for an answer to knock the wine off the bill. Eventually I agreed and handshaked....We bought pudding in return. As I said excellent services ...tipped and will return in June .
The food was amazingly good, the service was great, and it was just all around a great meal. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely gorgeous steak. Possibly the best I've ever had at a restaurant!
Staff couldn't be more helpful. Even gave my heavily pregnant wife a little pillow for her back and they weren't even asked. Fantastic bunch of people. Food was lovely and the place was spotless. Top marks.
Food was really good. Kids portions were huge which I like because I get to finish their leftovers. We did come for a Christmas dinner but was told it wasn't starting to the next day (Monday) was gutted but hey ho. Food was still really nice.
Second time we've eaten here. The food is good enough but the service is were they're excelling. They're especially good with little ones and were more than accommodating of our 2 year old. I forgot his name but the man with the moustache and glasses couldn't do enough for us! Will be back.
Booked a table and had requested someone sing Happy Birthday. Had the best meal ever got two complementary drinks because the fantastic man on reception can’t sing.lol. Fantastic place, great staff and great food. Definitely will be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
So good we returned the very next night! The food was fabulous on both nights - we enjoyed the steak date night menu on the first night & it was lovely, cooked perfectly, the sides were plentiful & the wine was really nice. On the second evening we had fish n chips & burger & chips - those chips are amazing! After our meal on the second evening we were invited to the Jazz bar on the 7th floor & finished our time in Belfast on a high.
Fantastic steak place, food was to die for. Was taking the fiancé out for anniversary dinner and have never heard her enjoy a steak as much in all our years. Fantastic food, a great selection and a solid atmosphere built on by the staff who know how much check with you.
Had our daughters graduation lunch here on 2nd July! We were early for our booking but were told our table was ready. The service was 1st class especially the 'American lady' she was just lovely! What I loved lost of all, it wasn't just 1 server who attended to us but a, and I can only describe them as a chorus of servers! They really worked well together to make everything run smoothly! The food was excellent apart from and I'm sorry to say, a bit of my burger was burnt and tough to eat but only a small portion of it! Overall and excellent experience thank you so much for making our daughters day even more special 💙
Came here on 11th December for dinner with friends before going to show at Ulster Hall. Brilliant service from Lucy. She was so welcoming and very friendly. Very attentive to us. Food was amazing and good size portions. The little extras like Christmas crackers on the table really added to the night. Service was so good, no waiting around. Great night , definitely will be back
Reasonable price, no separated surcharge. Food was better than expected and big enough. The chicken was slightly over cooked and dry, but steak was cooked perfectly 👌
Amazing food, quality and variety of choices for a typical Irish menu , burgers, steaks, supreme chicken with typical starters (ie bang-bang chicken, nachos etc) .. what was the top surprise was the Mix Grill Plate that first time I tasted… an approach of “breakfast dish with grilled steak with fillet-chicken” which is an extraordinary idea .. kudos to the chef!! On the contrary.. service was beyond average… no smiley faces.. only “tell me what you want.. I will bring to you”” this is not creating a connection with the customer .. I think Hotel management should look-on it.. finally.. as we’ve been there around 16:30 .. restaurant was empty so atmosphere was not so vibrant but at least the interior design had a “look and feel” of a posh bar.. we enjoyed overall the experience but needs few tweaks to become very good..
The atmosphere and vibe in here was great! Everyone was super friendly, our server Andrea was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful too, full marks to her. The wine we had was very good. The bang bang chicken was delicious, and I loved the phuck phuck sauce. My only mark down was the steak itself. The portion sizes of the sides were very generous, and the steak was well cooked, if a little closer to to medium than rare, but it just wasn't special. For the price I was expecting a tiny bit better. Everything else was great though, well done!
Gluten Free Salmon dinner superb! The Gluten Free Chocolate was good as well.
Jospers was great. Really quick service, the Bang Bang chicken in particular was amazing. Prices not too bad.
I ended up here because the rain came down hard in the centre of Belfast. The staff were excellent with helpful directions for where to catch the bus to the airport. I loved the bang bang chicken - which had a very generous amount of both chicken and bang! There was a handy plug so I could charge my phone as I ate.
Great food, reasonable prices, the waiters were very kind with us. The only problem is that they close at 22:30 even if their timetable is supposed to be until 23.
Food was pretty good and the restaurant was a good atmosphere. Took forever for them to bring the bill but otherwise good service.
Food was okay. I was not blown away. Could be better.
We ate early (5.30 pm) so that I could get the early bird special menu (4-6pm) that we'd seen online to save about £10 for my choice of 3 course dishes - my wife just wanted a main course from the standard menu. We were seated straight away and given the full price menu only - we weren't given the option of the early bird menu at the table so I had to ask and was told we'd have to order quickly due to the time. When the waiter returned with the early bird menus he then informed us that we'd BOTH have to order from the early bird menu as "everyone on the table" must order from the same menu. This is NOT specified online nor on the actual early bird menu itself... When I questioned this the waiter said that it was company policy and it's just the way it is, adding that I could speak with the manager if I wanted. I didn't want to embarrass my wife so just ordered 2 courses from the main menu. The ribs were excellent and so was my wife's beef penne ragu. Eton mess desert was reasonable, but nothing special.
I had a decent evening meal here, and while the casual setting and service didn’t quite match the glamorous exterior I would return. The staff were welcoming and while they tried to be professional throughout the service their ‘youth’ and freshness could probably do with a little refining. The interior wasn’t quite a cosy as I imagined but equally kept it from being stuffy and enabled the more casual meal experience. There’s a good range of drinks with a number of wine options available by the glass, and while the food menu wasn’t huge it’s adequate for any steak lover. Service time was quick and it was nice for the staff to be willing to pace out the courses to make for a more slow dining experience on my request. The pate starter was large and, for once, came with a decent amount of toast to accompany! Very tasty and well presented too. I ordered chips to accompany the steak which were really good but I must say the steak itself felt a little small with a bit too much fat for my liking. Cooked well to my order though with the sauce in a pot on the side. Overall it’s a friendly restaurant that I’d happily return to. Prices felt a little steep for the whole experience but otherwise it’s a nice option.
Three stars only cause of presentation of Food, Guinness stout and courteous staff. Though the food which we ordered was not good though, may the meat was old or not fresh..
We had booked a night at Ten Square, which included dinner at Jospers. We arrived, were seated and presented with our 'Bubbles' menu. We had a choice of 5 main courses, and all else was extra cost and over priced. We ate, ordered one dessert with coffee, and were ignored for the rest of the evening. 4 tables left, and 5 servers. After our plates had been cleared, we were left sitting for 25 minutes to 1/2 hour to wave down the attention of wait staff to get our bill. A 1/2 hour of empty table and zero service. Inexcusable. We wanted to pay immediately after finishing, but we're left waiting. We sat down at 6:45 and left at 8:35. I usually won't leave a review if service was substandard. I just won't go back or recommend that particular establishment. But the kicker here is, at 11pm that night we got a very ill tasting, accusatory email, chastising us for not attending our dinner reservation. Their opening line: "We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. We learnt from Jospers at Ten Square that you weren't seated for your booking on Wednesday, for 2." And it degraded from there. Humiliating, to say the least, considering that we were indeed seated, and served, as they took the dinner card we received from Ten Square, as part of our package, with our reservation time, room number and name. The hostess took the card and booked us in the computerized seating plan. The email was a slap in the face, especially after grossly substandard service. Perhaps Jospers management, upon reading this review, will look at the staff working that evening, and make the necessary adjustments. This should not have happened, nor should it happen again, with proper management and training.
Was excited to visit this "steakhouse", however steak seemingly isn't their strong point. I was with a group of 6, 4 of which ordered the ribeye, all medium/rare, each steak was a different thickness and only one was medium/rare. Mine had all the fat cut off it before it was cooked and was over done, don't think the chefs have been trained correctly as the main flavour of a ribeye, comes from the fat. If you're looking for a steak, I would completely avoid this place. Staff were friendly and apologetic, hate to see waiting staff not getting tips simply because of the incompetence of the (I would say chefs in this situation) cooks. Picture is of a (medium rare 10oz ribeye)
Went here on the 22nd December for evening meal. Food was mediocre, service was slow and there was no Christmas atmosphere at all, very disappointing, won't be back!!
The bar staff (night shift) are quite rude, however, the morning staff (who serve breakfast) are very kind and attentive.
Good grief, £55 for Chateaubriand, asked for medium rare, this came medium well and was not rested so blood everywhere, the napkin was actually soaked in it... And then it still bled... So it was dry... Complained and was told by the service manager, he could not guarantee a medium rare Chateaubriand... Unbelievable, did we want something else, nope just left very disappointed
I booked a table in advance, hoping to take advantage of the Belfast Restaurant Week two courses for £20 offer. I was informed on arrival the offer start date on both their website and the City Council one was incorrect, starting on the 6th of October instead of the 4th. I was informed by the manager they would not honour the advertised deal. When I called to book earlier over the phone, I was informed the deal was taking place that day by a staff member who actually checked for me. I was offered 20% off the bill by the manager. Which still would have worked out to be more expensive than the advertised deal. We were even shown the menu for the deal, but told we couldn't order from it. Bizzarely the manager also sat on my father's coat which was on the seat next to him, crushing his glasses. Despite my Father's panic over the state of his glasses he did not seem to care, or even apologise. Some of the worst customer service I have experienced. I would not ever be back, and I recommend that this restaurant be avoided.
The service is amazing, those guys are very attentive but unfortunately the food let them down. I was gifted a voucher which you present at the door, very embarrassing standing there while voucher was confirmed. The 3 course menu is nothing better than Frankie & Benny's only the food in Frankie & Benny's is much more better and edible. The daube of beef was the worst and the mash potatoes are just awful. We politely paid the balance of the bill and left never ever to return again! As I said above the service os superb and the staff working the floors are a credit to the business.
