Decided to stop by while we were in town and we will definitely be back!! The tequeños & arepas were very good. So glad I ordered the orange juice it was the most natural one I’ve ever tasted, my boyfriend ordered coke and ended up getting an orange juice too because it was just that good! The owner is very sweet and made sure to check in if we were doing good.

Excellent place, it is small but super cozy and clean. The attention is super good and friendly. The food is delicious, the patacon maracucho with shredded meat is divine, the empanadas are very good (my favorite is the cazon). The tequenos and arepas are also good. You have a wide variety of Venezuelan food, as well as some traditional desserts and sweets.

In Gusto Gourmet you can find a really good combination of yummy food and this attention that all Venezuelan people enjoyed in our land. Beside they have Mediterranean food so you can vary. I recommended this restaurant 💯.

Very authentic Venezuelan food. Take it from a Venezuelan himself. Their food was delicious and everything I expected. I forgot the name of the dish I ordered but it’s part of their secret menu. You can show them this picture and ask for it. I most definitely recommend it. Nice staff and DELICIOUS Venezuelan food I would recommend it to all of my friends.

This is a small, but nice, and clean place. Food and prices are OK. Family own and operated so we are adding an extra star for that. For a better experience try a late breakfast or an early lunch. Since the place is small it gets full easily and there is no 'elbow space.' Or order to go. Limited, but free parking in the back. It has some unusual and tasty dishes to try like arepa with eggplant and sandwiches made with plantains instead of bread! Coffee is good. We dined in, but ordered something to go and they wrote a little message on the box. We though that was a nice touch :)

Food was good. Restaurant was small and parking wasn’t that great. I wouldn’t recommend to go during peak hour for this reason. I felt like the chairs were backyard chairs. Seating could be more comfortable for a big guy like me. Prices were ok. Would I go back. Maybe if I am in the area but wouldn’t travel 30 minutes again strictly for the food.

The only reason I give 4 is because the portion size is a tad bit small compared to other South American restaurants. Prices are competitive and the service is quick. Just a bit pricey. When going to park just know u will have to park behind the building.

This is my First time for Venezuelan food I order La Pelua it’s a shredded beef with cheese and add avocado it was great! Flavorful and quick good to have for breakfast or lunch This is hidden gem! Everyone must try and they website are so useful for the time Venezuelan food like me

Nagdy Sanchez

I came today and found the restaurant closed. It appears OPEN on Google Maps. Apparently, they are closed for a week. Fortunately, I found another new Venezuelan restaurant in this area and I highly recommend it. It's called Dukes. FOR THE OWNERS of Gusto Gourmet: You guys should update the Google page to prevent people from wasting their time.

I’ve been visiting this restaurant since I moved to Houston three years ago. All I can say is that it has seen better days. The food used to be really decent, but over time it has gotten really bad and has nothing to do with authentic Venezuelan food. As a frequent customer, I recommend bringing the Venezuelan vibe back... improve the food, bring Oriana to the front, and add some Venezuelan decor and soft music in the background. I was there on 12/30, and it felt soulless.

I would have given a fourth star for atmosphere if the AC was working at all. The service was Ok but the food that was another story. To the owner: NEVER serve yesterday’s burnt rice. It was a disappointment that I start chewing on bits and pieces for overcooked rice. Definitely not fresh. The shredded beef was barely average. Presentation helped by the white plastic plates. The plain arepas was above average. Wall had a 2019 accolade, that’s almost 5 years ago when it probably was great. Fix the AC and serve freshly cooked meals.
