I've been ordering take out from here for over two years, and each time it's delicious. We usually get the fried cheese puffs (crab wontons), wonton soup, and rotate between entrees like their cashew chicken, beef and broccoli, fried rice. Plus, the service for takeout is so quick that by the time we leave our place just two blocks away our food is ready when we arrive.

This is my family’s favorite restaurant in the area for both takeout and dine-in - delicious food, friendly service, comfortable ambience, they’re always so nice to my kids and make us feel like family. Highly recommend!

My personal favorites are Mongolian beef or Kung Pao prawns (I ask for extra spicy), and hot and sour soup. If you want more peppers with Mongolian, ask. This is a family style place and they will try to accommodate a request when possible.

Always love Gin Mon. Been going the There for over 25 years. Same sweet staff and the food is always amazing. They remember our boys. Very easy going, you can actually sit down, eat,converse and not feel like you are getting chased out.

We've been going to this restaurant for the past 10 plus years and have always had a pleasant visit each time. The staff is always friendly, and the Mongolian Beef and Mongolian Chicken remain to be the best.

I am so sad to hear that the original owners are retiring. I have been going here over 20 years for the best Chinese food in the Bay Area! I have even traveled over an hour just go eat here! I hope the new owners maintain the same great food and service.

Our server was very attentive and seemed genuinely happy to help us order. All in all it was a very good dining experience. 😁 We're looking forward to our next trip back to this cozy little spot.

The soy sauce needs to be sold for home use. It's so good!!! I only had the dumplings which were cooked perfectly, the chow mein hit the spot, and the salt and pepper prawns were good but I thought they would be bigger. Nice place to get your Chinese Food fix

We were in Gin Mon for the first time and we chose Mongolian beef and fried rice. It was delicious! Service was great, too. And price became surprise for us. In my opinion this price is low for that great cooking food! Thank you! I recommend this place for a visit!

My single dish of gluten free beef and broccoli costs me $18. Plus fried rice and an appetizer I usually spend closer to $50. I don’t know why the average cost on here says 10-20 per person. The people who work there are kind and helpful. The food is quick and scrumptious.

Yummy!! My favorite was the calamari which wasn't hard to chew and had a very nice bite. We also had the fried rice which was Amazing and the orange chicken dish which was a bit too sweet but went well with the fried rice. I would've liked a bit more spice in all the dishes.

Don't come here if you are looking for authentic Sichuan food. This is American Chineses food, missing almost all traditional Sichuanese dishes. Having said that, food is decent, service is good.

Good service but ok food. Portions are small. Rice sen to be old and not fresh. Prices were okay but charge too much for soup.

This is one of those Chinese restaurants, where the menu is in English only. They serve a very limited selection of Northern style food. They had a spring roll that was identical to the one I had in boarding school in London. I lived in Belmont for 17 years. Never visited until now. Went there partly because Peter claims that I try new stuff, partly because the restaurant I was aiming was closed that day.

This place used to be 5 stars. The Tangerine Chicken used to be one of the best dishes I've ever had. But they finally ruined it. Everything lacks flavor. The descriptions often don't match the dishes. Also, they don't cook their vegetables enough, and they leave too much water in the food, for takeout orders.

My friend recommended to this restaurant. So it's my first time here I order the foods here. I ordered 4 items to go. The foods was really good, but unfortunately, one of the item, the wonton soup, there a hair in there, I have to throw it away. Sometime when order to go seems like they don't care to check if everything is ok. Just hope in the future the restaurant will be more careful.

This used to be a good place, but not anymore. Today I ordered chicken fried rice to go. There was little to NO chicken in the rice. The hot and sour soup was mediocre. I will never take food to go from this place ever again.
