I met a friend and we ate at the bar and the bartender was incredible. He gave me an amazing drink suggestion and the candied bacon off the appetizer menu was literally to buy for it was so good. Definitely going back.

Delicious meals and great Texas hospitality with a super down home atmosphere. Great location to choose for a special occasion. We enjoyed our evening visit and look forward to returning again. Nice place to meet up with others and treat out of town guests to share the Texas flair.

Hoffbrau didn't disappoint! The pork chop lunch portion was delicious! My waitress recommended it and it was money! The waitress was excellent and attentive to my needs. I'll be back again to try the chicken fried steak or the pork chop again.

Erik at the bar was great throughout our whole visit! We enjoyed the smoked sausage appetizer - the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce was good enough to drink! The smoked sirloin was exactly what I wanted, the pepper jack relleno was the unexpected side I just had to order and it was great, the baked sweet potato with the cinnamon butter was phenomenal and oh my the jalapeño glazed pork chops! 😱 Erik made us several mouthwatering cocktail as well which were nothing short of perfection!

Service here was great. I want to say our waiter was Eric, but he did take the time during a busy day to make sure we always had what we needed. This is your everyday steakhouse but they have some bigger-sized portions. We enjoyed our chicken, salads, and prime rib, and our fave was the fried mushrooms 🍄 and pickles. We had the sirloin lunch special. It was very good. The Brau chips don't seem to be as good as they used to be. The waitresses and hostess were very friendly.

Surprisingly on point peach cobbler, that I reccomend trying if you enjoy desserts. I would like to try the cherry next time. We usually try to steer away from chain restaurants when we drive through places but was recommended this place while in an antique mall and it did not disappoint. I wasn't feeling particularly hungry so only got a couples of sides while husband got the chicken fried steak but we both enjoyed the experience and would go again.

This was my first dinner out as husband and wife. Have always wanted to come here as I've heard good things. So as something new to try, we decided to go. The atmosphere is lively and very family friendly. Even though it's memorial day, so it was likely a bit calmer, which we liked. Menu was simple with a good variety of options. We decided to do the Texas two step. Wife ordered medium well. I ordered medium. Got salads, baked potatoes, mash, three cheese mac n cheese, and green beans with a small side of jalapeño gravy. Salads were nice and fresh. Vegetables nice and crisp. They were served in a very chilled bowl. Fantastic. The cast iron corn bread was delicious. Had a sweet savory taste. The honey butter was mouth watering. (Rolls were even better!!) Honestly, best part of the meal. Steaks came out over cooked. My piece of steak was much smaller than my wife's piece. As such it was cooked medium well on the thick end and well done on the thin end. For a steak house, with not as many guests, was a bit disappointed. But the flavor of the steak was very flavorful and a good cut a beef. Paired with the gravy, it was actually tasty. Note: jalapeño gravy was an upcharge of $0.59, waitress didn't mention it, but it may have been on the menu. Noting just in case it isnt.) Had hoped the steak would have been cooked a closer to order given it's a steak house. Not cooked to my preferred temp, but also wasn't shoe leather, so was still palatable. Mashed potatoes were delightful. It was creamy like a whipped a potatoes, but had thickness. It was fantastic. My wife devoured her baked potato, so I'm going to say it was excellent as well. Mac and cheese was lovely. Creamy and cooked well. Very enjoyable and delicious. Green beans were the short end. They weren't quite as good as I had hoped. Edible, but zero seasoning. Overall, we had a good first meal as husband and wife. Will be back, as there are other cuts of steaks and menu items we'd like to try.

First time here. The restaurant was clean, ambiance was nice, but we were disappointed in the food. I can’t remember ever being served spare ribs instead of baby backs at a steakhouse. The menu conveniently left that out, just says ribs. For a half rack @ $20 I expected baby back ribs. I wouldn’t have ordered them otherwise. I don’t believe they were fresh, probably a few days old and they were definitely reheated in a microwave. Parts of the bones were scolding hot, way more hot than the meat. The sides are $4.99 à la carte? Couldn’t believe the small portion size, the Mac n cheese was a good inch from the top of the small cup. Also, cheese thrown on top & microwaved. Lastly the peach cobbler, microwaved. We shared one. As soon as my wife says it isn’t warm, I took a bite and the peach was so hot it burned my mouth. Uneven temp, scolding hot = microwave. Just an awful dining experience. Their prices reflect better quality.

The food was okay not what I thought when it came out definitely don't go when there about to close the waitress that we had was not really doing a good job at all missing plates and forgetting the bread really just not a happy person. When it came to getting the bill,like anywhere else even a Chile's they hand you a black check book, not here they just put the receipt on the table like we were at Denny's. Smh I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

I had dinner tonight at Hoffbrau, my first visit in a few months. In the past, my experiences here have always been very good. I was familiar with the bartenders and waitstaff, and they consistently acted professionally and treated guests with respect. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience was very disappointing and completely different from what I had come to expect. After sitting at the bar, I waited quite a while before the bartender finally handed me a menu, placed it in front of me, and walked away without saying anything. She then began washing glasses and appeared too busy to acknowledge me. I continued waiting and eventually had to remind her that I was ready to place my order. The service issues continued throughout the evening. I was never offered the restaurant’s signature bread and butter, even though I noticed other guests receiving it. I was also never asked whether I wanted a salad with my meal. After my food was served, there was no follow-up or check-in. I normally tip 20–25% or more, but the level of service made that difficult to justify. I called the bartender over and explained that I was not satisfied with the service. I also asked another waitress whether the policy had changed regarding bread and butter, and she confirmed that I should have been offered it. The bartender’s attitude came across as arrogant and dismissive, which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. As customers, we have choices, and I choose to dine at places where I feel welcomed and treated with respect. Unfortunately, based on this experience, Hoffbrau is no longer that place for me.
