Great space, tasty menu, diverse beer selection, solid place to watch a game, you name it. It's a newer business, little raw; needs more bike parking, doesn't need as many beers on tap, hasn't quite maximized their location yet but well worth supporting. The kids menu is solid. The headlands bier garden (formerly westbrae) was crowded as hell this evening (Friday) so we pivoted, rode over here, and got right in. Service was top shelf, got out our food quickly and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our evening. Happy to see them get a little busier before we left. We like this business and hope they're here for years to come.
This place has great food and we took our furr baby there because they are dog friendly my dog Loved his burger patty, Phillip was great too I highly recommend this place
Has a little outside space on the side that works great for going out with kids! Loved how there was just enough space for kids/tots to play a bit so we could enjoy a beer. Great beer list, food was surprisingly good too! We don't eat meat but they have impossible sausage and it was nice and crispy with good sauerkraut and mustard. Loved the Hawaiian style sweet bun! Tater tots and french fries kept kids happy. Service was very nice. Overall a great vibe and asset to the neighborhood - we'll be back!
Stopped by with some friends after running some errands. They have a great beer selection, and the food was fantastic! I got the Beach Bunny by Paperback Brewing, chili cheese tater tots, and the Team X dog (sweet bun, snappy/savory sausage, and spicy toppings). Our server (Maddie) was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating to my group and I, which was especially helpful since we are all blind/low fission. Would definitely recommend. I think this is going to be a constant rotation in my weekend food options.
Food was great. The burgers come on 4 Hawaiian rolls, and they are juicy and flavorful. Add an egg, it enhanced the burger to another level. I'm definitely going back to try some of the other items. The atmosphere was chill vibe with diverse groups of people.
I have always loved this location. It has nice architectural elements, a roll up patio door, shaded outside seating and parking. Excited for a fun new restaurant to be an anchor in the neighborhood. Great atmosphere for casual family dinner, happy hour with friends and coworkers or a place to catch a game. Excellent service and very tasty food with an extensive beer and cocktail selection. Definitely worth a visit!
Beer was good, service was great. Reasonable prices.
Had some kind of fancy hot dog that came in a Hawaiian bread roll situation rather than a bun. Was it slightly awkward to eat? Yes. Did I enjoy it anyway? Absolutely. Charming bartender and the cocktails are on point too… this place has all the makings of a solid, regular hangout spot.
Great food, but a little pricey. The french fries are perfect, and the chili dog was a hit. They serve a decent cole slaw too, but at nearly $5 for six full forkfulls I will skip it in the future. If you value a quality dog, check this place out.
Great new spot! Had the chorizo sausage and a cheeseburger slider and both were delicious! I was surprised at how good the slider was - normally they're kind of dry. Only mild complaint is their beer list could have some better beers, though it is decently long. Plus they have cocktails!
Got there at 9:30 am to try their breakfast burritos, which I thought are clever by having a over easy egg instead of scrambled inside. The place was clean, and the service was friendly. I had no idea what I wanted but settled for the Little Mule Burrito. It should have dawned on me while speaking Spanish to the cashier, he told me it was a very good burrito. While it looked and tasted great, the heat was insane that early in the morning. Not only do you have pickled jalapenos, but you also have a Chipotle aioli that is sure to burn your esophagus. You've been warned, because I wasn't. Enjoy
Nice place with halal beef and chicken. They told us their beef and chicken is halal and they can prepare them on their own grill if you ask. Sliders were pretty tasty as well as the chicken tenders, cool atmosphere in there.
New place with some of the BEST burgers I've had in a while. They come served on a beautiful Hawaiian roll that adds the perfect chewy sweetness to compliment a fantastically organic thin burger patty with a wonderful sauce that rivals that of InNOut. 5 stars for me. Also very lovely service.
The bronco burrito is the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had!!! I got it on DoorDash one day and then the next day it told me I was too far from the restaurant I was so sad! Luckily their website offers delivery which helped me reunite with the best breakfast burrito there is! With the breakfast hot sauce !! Candy
Manuel is as awesome and anything he has recommended in the last 3 visits has been on point. I recommend this spot for watching sports, good beer or cocktails and excellent food at a reasonable price!! Highly recommended!
A pretty good selection of beers, and they carry veggie brats which I think always pairs well with a nice beer
Hands down the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. We drove 20 miles just to get one—and I’d do it again tomorrow. Totally worth it. Once they’ve got the beers on tap and the patio fully open? Game over. I’ll be posted up with a burger and a pint, no question. Can’t wait.
Really good, more of a smokehouse than expected, 20+ beers on tap. Got the Hot Chick bowl, and a couple of burgers, all excellent 👌
So brilliant! Excellent food; excellent service; excellent atmosphere. I went to the Berkeley branch when they were about to close. But the food was still hot and delicious! The bread and the sausage were so good. Danke!
This place is awesome! Not sure why it’s not 5 stars. Lots of different beer options and the food was amazing! We were a party of 4 and got different dogs/chicken - all were great! Wish we had this type of place near our home. FYI - if it says spicy- it is! But again so yummy! Definitely recommend this place.
This place is a hidden gem! I found them on Yelp and drove 45 mins to have lunch with my puppy... It was great and the price was perfect! This location was very clean and welcoming. Food was 10/10!! I hope to eat here again!
This was my first time visiting a Dog Haus. The entire experience from the service to the food was on point. The gentleman who helped me asked if it was my first time. He then proceeded to ask questions to help point me in the right direction while also sharing what some of his favorites are. I got the Little Mule. The Hawaiian buns are clever. It made it so easy to actually cut the burger to eat it while also adding a nice touch of sweetness.
So...it's hot dogs! Tucked away from the sidewalk, Dog Haus Biergarten is a hidden gem. When you're looking for casual quick food, this is the place for you.
This place is great! The service was quick (we came on a Tuesday night) and easy, and they have an incredible beer selection from various local breweries. I had the Das Brat and Cowboy hotdogs and they were exceptionally good! Definitely going to come back soon! The parking lot is a bit small, but there’s plenty of street parking around.
Loved the vibe of this place! We tried some of their drinks like their Black-and-White blueberry cocktail. I didn't try their hot dogs, though. Next time, I'll try them to give you a more accurate opinion about the rest of their menu 😋

Straight Fire. I was headed to the taqueria, which I'm sure is also great, but ended up parking across the street from here and I'm glad I gave it a try. Great local beer selection, as well as a full bar. A very versatile menu with all-beef hot dogs, traditional brats, burgers and chicken both grilled and fried. Owner, Miguel was awesome.
I've visited several times and I try to pick something different everytime. However, their fries are amazing!! So much so that I've ordered them my last 3 visits. The chili fries are the best!! The fries are so crispy!! So freaking delicious!!
Great food and friendly service! We've dined in and gotten takeout and both times the food has been super tasty. I like that they can open up the big doors to the main room on a nice day. There's some outside seating too. Highly recommend a burger on Hawaiian roll and tater tots!
Really fun spin on a hot dog joint. The Hawaiian roll buns add a unique take and the creativity behind the different dogs is worth ordering more than one
We stopped in on Monday expecting it to be slow but it was hopping! Chris, the bartender, was very helpful and immediately gave us our different options for placing our orders. I like having the choice of ordering from the QRL code at the table or the kiosk or in person at the bar. Chris was the only one working and he did a great job addressing all our questions while fielding all the to-go orders and serving folks sitting at the bar. The chili cheese dog was so delicious, not to mention the onion rings and sweet potato fries! Loved being able to take my dog inside as well. Great place to watch any game because they had several large screen TVs too. We will definitely return. The only store policy that was strange was there is a code needed for the bathroom and the bartender had to stop what he doing to open the bathroom door for each person requesting. I suggest the owner rethink this policy. It is very inconvenient for everyone. Also, note the parking lot has only 4 spots and 1 handicap, I'd suggest parking on the street. We will definitely return!

Food was good. I had the chicken sandwich. One of our group got a dog. Bread was not strong enough to hold together sandwich. Also too much quantity of condiments. Corn dogs are great! 4 or 5 beers were unavailable also. Still a good selection.
Great place to hang out with friends and have some solid food. By its namesake there is a vast selection of dogs and sausages, with various toppings and condiments. Also various burgers (sliders are a solid choice) and sides (fries, tots, and onion rings). Combine that with a good selection of beer and cocktails, good indoor and outdoor dining options, and you may have yourself a new neighborhood hangout spot.
Nice space, we enjoyed the board games. Great selection of beer- would have given 5 stars if there had been non-alcoholic beer available too!
Solid effort by Dog Haus! First time going after hearing tepid reviews but thought we'd give it a shot. So glad we did! We went on New Years Day after a 7 mile bike ride with no food in sight, so we were starving and anything would've tasted good, but I was really craving french fries. This place did not disappoint! Nice long, plump, russet fries done really well and tasted perfect, IMHO. We split the Bad Mutha Clucka and fries, onion rings, and each ordered a pint, plus the kids chicken tenders meal, for $50. Prices are reasonable, which is not in line with what I'd first heard. Yes, you're paying $9 for a loaded brat or dog, $11-13 for a sandwich or burger and $8 for a pint, but that seems to be where we're at these days, so caveat emptor. Kids meal prices are really reasonable, with chicken tenders, fries and a drink running at $7. A steal. The 2 tenders were huge and all breast meat, though our little reviewer found the breading "a little spicy" and picked most of it off. Even without it, the meat was juicy and tender, but crispy on the edges, so nicely done. She loved the fries and the endless root beer! Our Mutha Clucka was not spicy, though we didn't order it that way, and could've used a bit more flavor on the acid side (pickles are on it, as is a slightly sweet slaw), but was very good nonetheless. Fries as I said were crisp and tender at once, as were the onion rings, and nicely fried. The onion rings come in a huge bucket for $4! Beer list is amazing with a really wide representation of types and styles from N. CA and beyond. I know it's Berkeley, but points for serving, on draft, Michelob Light, and in a pitcher (albeit for $29), as not everyone is in to super niche IPAs. I was also surprised to see they somehow had a full bar with cocktails! See attached photo for some Haus specialties. Also lots of TVs showing the Rose Bowl and other sports of interest to the bar patrons at the time. Good luck finding a nicer sports bar in Berkeley than this. Everywhere else we've tried is pretty dingy and run down. The biggest improvements I can think for them to make that they can control is that 1.) the space is open to the outdoors so that people aren't getting each other's germs, but the food is served on stainless steel trays, which makes it go cold immediately. Keep the trays in the warmer of an oven - problem solved. It was a shame to eat cold fries after 5 minutes. 2.) I know this is touchy, but do not allow people to have their actual dogs inside the restaurant. This was *not* a service dog as it was barking and pacing the entire time. This is a health code violation, and this place has a large patio, so no excuse, really. That the employee on duty did not enforce it says something about the food safety culture at the restaurant. Luckily there were no gums stuck under the table or I would've had to downgrade them another star! I will note that they did seem understaffed that day, and I empathize with the extra headache and likely work this would've caused for the employee vs the stereotypical Berkeley customer. Overall a very good choice for a family or low key friends gathering around some burgers, beers, and dogs, and we'll definitely be back to sample more of their offerings!
The food was very good. It's a really nice cozy spot. The service was great! We will be going again. If you haven't been, you should go. The pricing is reasonable.

A very cute and dog friendly restaurant that my partner and I visited today with our pup. Overall the food and atmosphere were good, but the service was actively hostile. When we arrived my partner asked the server if we could grab a seat outside, to which the server snapped “I’ll get to you when I get to you” - we literally had just walked in and were trying to be polite. We did grab a seat outside, ordered using their table QR code and hung out. The server came outside and curtly asked if we had ordered and then immediately left when we confirmed we did. When our food was delivered this same guy slapped the food pans on our table as if he had a vendetta against the table, or maybe the pans — seemingly a vendetta against everyone, honestly. We enjoyed our food and the atmosphere, but truly probably won’t be coming back after that experience. What’s more, because the order system asks for tips up front, we had already given a 15%. If this tip was intended for this service, it should’ve been 0% because it was shockingly bad. A bummer, because otherwise we enjoyed the food and location.
The food was fair, will try it again next time I will the chicken with a bun. I had the chicken over lettuce a little messy. My husband had a hot dog. If we are in the area we would try it again.
Wanted to like this place because they offer a plant based brat. But, strange, empty atmosphere. No one to greet you or answer questions while you enter your order on the tablet. One person who brings out the food was fine, but you have to hover by the door to the kitchen to ask for anything since there is no one in the actual restaurant space. Another patron said that they wouldn't give the bathroom code, only punch it in for people. Cups for water are small dixie cups. No beer available. Unfortunate because seems like could have potential.
The beers and food we ordered was okay, but the place was empty and the outside was pretty dark.
4min walk from my house ✅ Very tasty hot chicken sando on Hawaiian king roll ✅ Extensive beer selection ✅ Impossible AND beyond options for our vegan friends ✅ Pretty reasonable prices ✅ Outdoor options for the 🐶✅ — Edit: I went back and I think the fried chicken sando is among the best in the east bay. Juicy. Cronchy. Spicy. Edit: they seemingly have high staff then over and service can be really hit or miss. Our food took an hour today even though the place was empty.

Extremely slow service for lunch on the weekends, despite the place being empty. Last two times I've ordered either pickup or in person, it's taken about an hour for a hotdog and a burger. Staff is often nowhere to be seen at the front of the house.
What an underwhelming dining experience. The 20-year old cashier can’t offer recommendations for the endless beer menu and stares at me confused when we ask about Happy Hour specials published on the website. Maybe 5 other patrons in the restaurant but somehow we get no drinks delivered until I go up and ask 15 mins later. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Whoever manages this franchise isn’t even trying, it’s no wonder they’re not thriving. The food was ok but I won’t come again.
My gym folks and I go there often and we really love the place. Food and drinks are great but every time we go there it feels like they are super short staffed. The ppl working there are nice but they are clearly overwhelmed and running around everywhere to try to handle all the orders. They literally have 1 person to take orders, be a waitress and take care of the bar, It is insane. This place would be a gem if it wasn't for the feeling that the owner clearly doesn't care about their employees well-being.
Was considering having a party here so I wanted to try their food. Went to the Berkeley location for Happy Hour at little after 3pm and was unable to get an order placed with the discounts. I signed up using my phone number in order to get the special discounts (or so I thought). Placed the order for the 4 Chopped Cheese sliders , The Ruben Tots, and 2 other items that were supposed to be 1 dollar off each. The person who attended to the order said he only started 3 days ago and couldn't override or give the discount. It was extremely frustrating and was told that the manager was there and would see about it. Never had the opportunity to speak to the Manager as they never came out. Strangely, there wasn't any customers around and so that could have also been a sign. I assumed that the system would discount the order through the kiosk order system but it didn't and only the full price was being charged. They should look into this problem, I just couldn't understand why they couldn't manually input the price with the discounts for Happy Hour to allow the discount so ended up just leaving after 30 minutes of attempting to order. I was ready to spend almost 50 for food, but sadly I never was able to even order to take advantage of the Happy Hour discount.

Went on. Saturday, lunchtime. Only two customers present. Ordered an Impossible sausage ($12.99) and a pint of beer ($9). Long delay between ordering and delivery. Only half an impossible was used. Topping, mustard and sauerkraut were very tasty. Still, $13 for half a sausage was extravagant (IMO). Verdict: poor service and mediocre food. Not recommended.

This establishment needs help. The young man that was working the front of the house was the server, bartender, host. He did as much as he could to the best of his abilities. The kitchen staff could have possibly been overwhelmed but I had to send the food back twice and it still did have the things that I asked for on the burgers. Take your time and please take pride in preparing the food correctly and with love. Considering I spent $40+ on a burger and chopped cheese sliders is it too much to get lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles for them? This still was an issue after the young man went into the kitchen three times to relay the message and confirm the order. All of this primarily due to the fact that there is not anyone available to take your order and the self service kiosk doesn't allow for additional items to be added to the order, just the removal of specific items. Please don't just respond with the generic message asking to reach out the 'we care' email. Actually do something to help the staff and the establishment progress forward
This review is not about the menu, the prices, or the ambiance. I never even made it past the entrance. My visit was a brief, stark lesson in the difference between following a rule and exercising basic human decency. I arrived at this establishment in distress, genuinely sick and in urgent need of a restroom. I approached a staff member—who looked me directly in the eye—and politely asked if I could use their facilities, explaining my immediate need before I planned to sit down and order something. The response was immediate and without a trace of compassion: "No, you can't. It's for customers." I was in a moment of vulnerability, and in return, I was met with cold, rigid adherence to policy. I simply said, "Thank you, I really appreciate that," and left. To the management: I left not because I was rejected, but because your employee's reaction showed me everything I needed to know about the values of this business. A momentary lapse in judgment for a few seconds of water use would have been an act of goodwill. Instead, you chose to prioritize the sanctity of your restrooms over the immediate physical need of a person who intended to be your patron. If your policy cannot bend for a sick person in desperate need, it is a bad policy, and you are running a business, not a community space. Kindness and common sense are always better business practices than rigidity. I highly recommend taking a moment to reflect on what matters more: a few cents of water, or your humanity. I will never return.
