The ice cream here is incredible I would highly recommend this establishment if you're looking for a decent ice cream
Arnold made the most perfect ice cream cone 🍦 for me!!! It was sooooo Amazing. My flavors were all ravishing and delicious . This is my new Favorite WeHo ice cream shop
Honestly, I was skeptical looking at the menu choice. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and experiment. I played it safe, but was still highly impressed. I tried the honey lavender and coffee and love nuts, it was phenomenal highly recommend please try do not judge. The irony is the honey and lavender has notes of some tea flavor that I could not put my finger on, but it paired well with the coffee.
One of my favorite ice cream shops. This time around I ordered the day old bread pudding flavor and the chocolate cake flavor and was delicious as always. My only qualm is it is pretty expensive as the double scoop was 11 dollars which is more than anywhere else. Their flavors are great though and service is friendly.
The sweet and salty flavor of this ice cream was very pleasant. I would definitely order it again.
Excellent flavors and their service is equally good. Shoutout to Colbey Haney who created a welcoming environment. Thank you.
So glad I could finally try this iconic west coast ice cream shop. I’ve heard of them for their creative ice cream flavors. They did not disappoint. I got the coconut pandan which was lightly sweet, strong coconut flavor, and bright pandan bites within it. I would highly recommend anyone visiting LA to come to try salt and straw. I also loved the WeHo area and thought it was a cute stop during my trip to LA
Icecream was delicious! The salted caramel was amazing, could swim in it!! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Can try before you buy👍
Oh yes! Tried a variety of flavors, loved honey lavender, pear & blue cheese, and arbequina olive oil (I KNOW!) but settled on freckled mint chocolate chip and cold brew coffee cashew praline. A+
I tried two flavors: "Coffee & Love Nuts" was a coffee lover's dream with rich coffee ice cream and chocolate-coated pecans. "Honey Lavender" was a lavender-infused delight, beautifully balanced with herbaceous flavors.
Amazing service where you can try all ice cream before making your choice It’s my favorite place for ice cream ! Defined recommend the salt caramel cookie dough 🤤🤤
Mr. Kade I just want to say thank you for letting me sample the brownie which is your favorite. But this caramel salted thing peanut that you gave me I just want to say I appreciate you because you made my life so much better today. Not only that you put a smile on my face when I seen them blue eyes, and it was like you were speaking to my soul when you told me I can sample anyone I loved customer service even above and beyond and I just want to give you your accolades. Thank you so much this warm con they had me hypnotized I appreciate you. Might I add I was in the middle of doing a DoorDash a couple doors over and the smell made me come in
Rich, creamy, and delicious ice cream!!
An absolute classic place to visit when in LA etc. 10/10 creativity and quality - I highly recommend trying several flavors here!! Not to mention the vibe/ branding is absolutely amazing. Try it if you haven't yet!
My favorite ice cream in LA. They make the waffle cones in house so it always smells amazing in there and the flavors are on point
Great atmosphere and the best customer service! Delicious ice cream with unique flavors! 😋
Hands down best ice cream in town. Creamy, flavorful, rich, delicious.
We found this ice cream shop on the fly while looking for a nice dessert place after dinner. Fortunately for us this place is phenomenal, they offer a full spectrum of different flavors and varieties of ice cream types. I recommend getting the pomegranate pink panther and the sundae with the brownie! If you are visiting the area and grabbing lunch or dinner, Salt & Straw is a superb place to visit to quench your dessert means. Plus you can try out any of the flavors before you commit on getting a scoop (get a double scoop, it's worth it)
Not much of an ice cream person, but I make the exception here. Ended up here high out of my mind on Halloween, had the Marionberry & Coconut sherbet + Strawberry Balsamic and loved it. I like the Blue Cheese and Pear in concept but I think a light basic vanilla with blue cheese finely pureed in and pear compote ribbons would better execute it, the pear got lost under the overwhelming blue cheese for me.
Really sweet and nice employees! Came in on a Tuesday and it smelled absolutely heavenly of freshly made waffle cones - and this is coming from someone who doesn't like waffle cones. The ice cream is super smooth & creamy. All the flavors are perfect and not too overpowering. Got the 2 scoops option in a cup - scoops are HUGE and could definitely share between 2 people. 1) Honey lavender was nicely made - with just a hint of honey and a lingering flavor of lavender. If you're a huge fan of lavender, this is definitely a good choice. 2) Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - I'm normally not a fan of cookie dough but this was delicious. Chunks of cookie dough that didn't stick to your teeth nor was it too sweet/sugary. Just the right amount of chocolate chunks as well. Definitely recommend and would get again. 3) Cold Brew Coffee Cashew Praline - amazing. Just get it. 4) Double Fold Vanilla - delicious vanilla flavor while being super creamy.
Probably my favorite ice cream in Los Angeles. They always have the best flavors and they give you as many taste as you want. I am a huge ice cream fan but I will usually only do salt and straw or the ice cream in Westwood this place is my favorite.
I come here all the time and it's legitimately my favorite ice cream place. Favorite flavor is honey lavender, but honestly you can't go wrong with any flavor. Even their monthly flavors are awesome -- sometimes some monthly flavors are so good, I wish they would just keep them as a regular flavor. Definitely come! Note: Parking can be hard for street parking, would recommend parking at the Pavilions nearby.
I always go here when i am in boystown. They have these speciality aromatic flavors like lavender. Don't judge until you try a free sample. The specialty flavors change and are different from location to location.
Delicious ice creams! Get the cone waffle, super good!
Strawberry balsamic something I bought 3 pint. My best icecream
Stopped by this delicious Ice cream shop & CHEVY was amazing, super friendly she definitely made this new experience even better would def recommend trying this spot out and if lucky get my girl Chevy 😊😊
I fall in love with blue cheese and pear ice cream, best taste ever 😍
I ordered ahead for a large bulk pint order. I was helped by Tyler and I appreciated his patience with me. He walked me through all the flavors & made great suggestions for what I should order. He was kind and made the effort to check and make sure the order I was looking for would be possible. Delivery was easy peasy & I would definitely work with this location for catering in the future again. They have wonderful flavors, & the classics are classics for a reason. I have yet to go in store, but if the customer service is anything close to what I got over the phone, then I’m sure even a first timer with no clue about the flavors would be taken care of!
Stopped by with the family. Their ice cream is smooth and creamy. Tasted several flavors - all were unique and tasted great without being overwhelming. My favorite was the seasonal toasted white chocolate & peppermint almonds.
Salt & Straw is always a great place for a little sweet treat. My go to is the pear and blue cheese but that doesn’t stop me from sampling all the other flavors they have to offer.
oh my god. maybe it’s because i had low expectations but this is probably the best milkshake ive had in LA. i was happy with their vegan soft serve but i was blown away by the milkshake. def coming back again when im in west hollywood for dessert. and huge props to Josh for the amazing service! he was really kind and patient as we sampled a few flavors and was super friendly.
Love all the ice cream here, but the parking situation is difficult. Everything they sell here is incredibly delicious. It was my nieces birthday, and I wanted to take her here since she loves ice cream and has never been here. We each chose pints of ice cream, bought it, and took it home to eat. Loved every single flavor we bought. It was the perfect consistency, sweetness, and chunks inside it were perfectly sized. I love how they always have new flavors. It's always exciting to try a new flavor.
Some of the most creamy and luscious ice cream that you will ever have! Excellent ice cream that makes me scream for more for sure!! They have special berry flavors at the moment and they are perfect for summer. I got the Wild Forge Berry Slab Pie and was super delighted with it. Good balance between the berries and ice cream and texture because of the pieces of pie. So good! They have a few locations around LA so definitely hit one up!
I came here with my friends late at night disappointed with another ice cream store and I was greatly pleased. The staff was friendly and offered samples and it is a very cutely designed and clean ice cream shop. The flavors were pretty interesting especially the wine influenced one but I found the honey lavander to be my pick. The ice cream is pretty good it's not sickingly sweet and it has nice aromas. Only con is we thought the ice cream was a little bit expensive but for what you're getting it's still not a bad option.
Unique flavors- must try their weirdest flavors. Even though their flavor might be a little over the top they still taste ok. Worth giving it a shot Took the strawberry, vinegar w black pepper, and half pears n blue cheese
the ice-cream by @saltandstraw Had roasted strawberry with white choc + choc brownie. Prefer the strawberry one. Creamy and dense as it should be. Enjoy them a lot. But still a tat behind one from Sprinkle the other day.
Cute and delicious spot to grab some ice cream. Very unique flavors! 👍
I think salt and straw is okay. It’s not the best ice cream I’ve had but it’s definitely not bad ice cream! They have a variety of creative fun flavors which I think rocks, they’re super sweet and I feel like they have a lot of specialty flavors with cookies / chunks in them. (I’m less of a fan of those) ive had the honey lavender and it was good, and then I had the cinnamon snickerdoodle and the oat milk and cookies. Both are heavier flavors. I’ve tasted a bit the red velvet with frosting and it was super sweet! the ice cream isn’t as milky as some other ice creams I’ve had. I think if you like exotic flavors or trying new ice cream flavors you’ll probably enjoy salt and straw. Their waffle cones are good and definitely fresh. One satisfying thing is that the portions are large. A lot of LA I’ve cream spots aren’t as generous with their scoops. The single scoop is actually more than enough ice cream here — you can even choose a “split scoop” where you get the size of one scoop but two flavors! The service here has always been good each time I’ve been, and This location has outdoor seatings that’s cute, and it’s located on a corner stop on Santa Monica blvd. The parking in the back is super tight and limited but you can find street parking around the block. The reason why I gave it three stars was because the ice cream was sweeter than my taste, I didn’t fully enjoy the heaviness of the chocolate cookie chunks in the ice cream and the location had some people soliciting outside nearby. It doesn’t always feel like the safest location but it’s fine in the daytime. i do believe salt and straw is a pretty good ice cream chain though, and definitely worth the visit.
Ice cream is insanely good— no contesting that. The price is a bit much, but the main issue here is the spoon conundrum. For such an artisan, high-end LA hotspot, one should be able to expect a functional and equally excellent quality of cutlery. The plastic spoons (which the cashier agrees have been complained about before, when we had to go back for our second of three sets of new spoons) break upon immediate contact with the quite soft ice cream. This may seem trite, but it’s really annoying to have all three spoons snap at a quality establishment (that does not have convenient parking). While the price has yet to deter us, we will be careful next time to bring our own spoons and suggest you do too.
The delicious smell of the waffle cones cooking is what draws your attention to this place. The flavors of ice cream they offer are unusual and you can’t get anywhere else. I got the chocolate gooey brownie. Which wasn’t that chocolatey or gooey it just tasted like regular chocolate ice cream. I was hoping it would have had way more chocolate and brownie in it but i did enjoy the waffle cone
notbas good as other locations. they only had 2 vegan options and they were both terrible
I've had salt and straw ice cream at many locations and this store is awful. The employees aren't telling you about the upcharges added to your bill. 50¢ to split a scoop, that's ridiculous. Tell customers about the upcharges beforehand. Ice cream wasn't as good as San Diego.
The ice cream was excellent. However the service left a lot to be desired. There was about four ahead of us when we arrived and while we waited the line grew and went out the door. It was disappointing to see only one person serving such a big line while another was at the back making waffles. Having that person stopping that task and serve would have not only help the line move, but have been good customer service
