Under newer ownership, the inside has changed a bit. They've taken out the shopping area with kitchen/housewares. Now there are long tables to accommodate more seating for patrons. The Copper Q has always been one of our favorite spots to stop into when we're in Big Bear. The Biscoff Cookies Croffles is fantastic! I don't know if we've ever ordered something that we didn't like. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed :)
The Copper Q is hands down the cutest cafe in “downtown” Big Bear! We stopped in to get a little work done before hitting the road and were greeted with smooth jazz and cozy vibes. My bagel hit the spot & I watched them cook my friends food in their open format Savory Station kitchen. Will definitely be back!
Staff was ok, but would be great if friendlier & more info. The one who gave me the first part of my order really didn't seem to want to talk at all even though I'm needed to know where the rest of my order was. The pastries are amazing though.
This smelled so homey and has a great atmosphère. The cake pops are such a great price! My go to spot when í come back.
Loved it! First time here and it’s like out of a movie. Beautiful service ♥️
Amazing croffle! Never had one! Got the strawberry one. Vanessa is an amazing cook and excellent customer service!!
We stopped in for an after dinner coffee. The lattes we had were very good with bold coffee flavors mellowed by the foamed milk and sugar we added. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and comfortable for all kinds of folks. We had the wonderful opportunity to speak to the owner for a while. She is a real gem. She gave us some history of the place and spoke of some great news happening soon with the place! Stay tuned!! I guarantee you will love it. We look forward to coming back for the breakfast menu, the crepes, and maybe some late night drinks and karaoke! Support local! Visit this place. You won’t regret it!
If you are in the area and looking for good coffee, the Copper Q is a quiet atmosphere and has a bakery for some tasty treats and filling morsals like the bagel sanwhich. I got the salted caramel macchiato with oat milk and I can say it's one of the better ones I have had! Highly recommend the Copper Q
Ordered the Chorizo breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee. Our chef, Jesus, knocked it out of the park. Everything was delicious, service was amazing, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Needless to say, I will absolutely be coming back next time I’m in Big Bear.
Decided to try it this morning, having never been there, and am really glad we did! Staff was friendly, including Jesus who was on the grill, and food was great! Sat at the bar to watch all the cooking and really just enjoyed our time here. Jesus handed us our food too, and informed us of where napkins and salsas are! 10/10 will come back next Big Bear trip!
After a long walk through Big Bear, we stopped at the copper Q for a coffee and suites. These guys did not let us down the banana nut bread , the Strawberry riffle, the Vietnamese coffee and the mocha was really good. Hit the spot would recommend.!
If you are coming to Big Bear, the Copper Q is an absolute MUST! I had a stressful drive up here from work and stumbled into this gem on Big Bear Blvd by chance! I am now totally relaxed. This is place that both locals and tourists come to. First, the staff, Oscar in particular is a consummate professional. His customer service skills are far better than those I receive in Los Angeles, where I live. Maria is a local, and is absolutely lovely. She gave me some local tips. Not only is the food, coffee delicious, the atmosphere is relaxing. They let me stay for three hours to do work, as they have an excellent Wifi connection, which is not the easiest up here. I am so grateful for this play, as the staff and atmosphere have restarted my get-away. Thank you Oscar, Maria, and Baske. Ivanne
Maria was super helpful in helping me decide which Expresso drink to order. I went with the American with a splash of oat milk and hazelnut sweetener. It was really good. Great peaceful and quiet morning with a delicious cafecito. My partner had a toffee late with oat milk. Also delicious.
I’m a huge coffee lover and always on the hunt for great new spots wherever I go — and I’m so glad I stumbled upon Copper Q! It’s quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops. I ordered the oak shaken espresso, and wow — it’s seriously 100x better than Starbucks! We also tried an omelette and a crepe, both of which were absolutely delicious. The decor and overall vibe of the place are fantastic — cozy, inviting, and full of character. And I can’t forget to mention the adorable giant dog roaming around the shop — such a fun and charming touch The super friendly staff was def the cherry on top!
Copper Q Coffee is one of the best coffee spots in the Big Bear Village. Prices are reasonable, the service is quick, and I love that they don't charge extra for oat or almond milk, or syrup flavors. Great espresso and coffee, plus they serve crepes and sandwiches too. Can't wait to come back to try those--stay tuned with BigBearWaypoint when we do!
This restaurant has cozy traditional/modern wood interiors, creating an inviting atmosphere. Although there are parking spots, but it can be a challenge to find one, but there is a bigger parking space right on Village Dr right behind “Oakside” restaurant. The highlight of the meal was the blackberry pie showcasing its natural sweetness showcased the fresh blackberries, and the crisp baked pastry crust was delightful. While the flat white coffee falls a little flat, but it is still good and paired decently with the dessert. Overall, it’s a charming spot for a relaxing treat.
I ordered the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) on a croissant, and it should have been named "BLTAM" because they put so much mayonnaise on it. -The mayonnaise was definitely the star of the show on that sandwich. The service system here is odd. They have you order at a machine (even when there's clearly a person behind the counter). Then there's a coffee counter with a completely separate food counter. Sometimes they're bringing the food to your table, sometimes they're not- it feels like a clunky service system they have going on. The atmosphere is nice! There are games you can play at your table! That's fun. I rated this place a lower rating due to the odd customer service setup that's currently in place and for the bad food experience.
I’m giving two stars strictly for the ambiance and decor, because the food and drink were a massive letdown. This feels like a classic tourist trap where the aesthetics are high, but the quality is low. The Quiche: It wasn’t just "not fresh"- it was stale and virtually inedible. I ended up throwing almost all of it away. The Coffee: I paid $4.75 for a drip coffee that was bitter and burnt. I actually preferred the free coffee in my hotel lobby over this. The Only Positive: The Nutella crepe was made fresh and tasted good, but it couldn't save the experience. Bottom Line: Overpriced and disappointing. I definitely won't be back.
They have iced drinks and frappe options available here. ☕️: I ordered an iced cinnamon swirl latte- it was just okay. Atmosphere: I loved the decor! This place had a rustic vibe. They also had cookbooks and miscellaneous items for sale. There were even painted game boards on a forgotten counter. I wonder if they used to have games available for customers when this place was more cozy. Service: barista had an indifferent attitude. We weren’t greeted when we entered and waited at the cash register for a while before someone acknowledged us.
I hate writing this because I used to genuinely enjoy Cooper Q, but things have seriously gone downhill. The owner openly mentioned they don’t want to hire enough staff, so customers are pushed onto an AI kiosk that won’t even let you modify your food. Ordering feels like arguing with a vending machine and somehow it still asks for a tip despite barely any real service interaction. What makes it more frustrating is that the value just isn’t there anymore. Prices are already high while portions feel like rations. The irony is, many customers would probably accept slightly higher prices if it meant hiring real staff, getting flexible ordering, and restoring the welcoming experience this café used to have a few years ago. Right now it just feels impersonal and stripped down compared to what made this place enjoyable. Investing in people instead of cutting corners would go a long way and I honestly think customers would support that.
You order your own food on the kiosk, defaults for a tip, tip for what? Then a service fee to use the kiosk. A service fee? Really? Yes, I will go to Starbucks and get the same Great views of big bear. Guess what, starbucks doesn't charge me a fee to use my credit card. You need a reality check. When you go to vons and stater brothers locally do they charge you for using the credit card, NO. I live local and support local, but wouldn't support your business as you gouge people. The fees you are passing on to a consumer is not right. Just stating facts. Thats the fee to do business Customers shouldn't have to pay a fee to use the card or your kiosk. What a joke. 8 dollars for a latte. I definitely will go to Starbucks and avoid your location for sure. Here's a tip for you, dont do business if you cant afford fees to run a business. I myself run a business locally and I dont gouge and charge petty fees like you do.
Your self order system is HORRIBLE… Big Bear is a small town comprised of great people w/ kind soft touch, not KIOSKs. Why did you add the system? It took me longer to order than ever before, plus you added a service fee, and I watched you stand there jabbering about nothing while I struggled with your kiosk. I will gladly change my rating to five star across the board if you get rid of that kiosk thank you
First ordered coffee’s then I went to the bathroom. Filthy mess. Stained stainless steel paper towel and air hand dryer, dirty floor that looks like it hasn’t been moped in weeks and the door on both sides was needing paint. I spoke to one of male employees who said he would look into it. My concern was if the bathroom for patrons looks like a germ filled mess what does the kitchen look like. We canceled our order and the barista never asked why. Don’t have the original Copper Q cleanliness standards or vibe. Won’t be back.
This place seems popular to drop in for a hot coffee, I used the kiosk to order. However, I had a question about the add-on to my coffee. When my husband approached the barista a male employee with a face piercing walked by and gave him a dirty look without noticing I was staring right at him. This use to be my favorite place to visit in downtown Big Bear, all the employees seem stressed and unhappy. Definitely not coming back here again
Saturday, December 20 1:34pm First time visiting with my family, and it was a very disappointing experience. The customer service was terrible. The girl with pink hair completely ignored a customer who was trying to get help, and the male cashier with a piercing in the middle of his eyes was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout our interaction. We ordered about six drinks. I ordered the brown sugar espresso, which was honestly the worst coffee I've ever had. Everyone else in my group also agreed their drinks were not good. The prices are very high for such poor quality. To make things worse, the cashier became annoyed when I paid with cash, which was unprofessional cash is still valid payment. Overall, the service and quality were unacceptable. I would NOT recommend this place and will not be returning.
