Jorge was our water and what a kind gentleman! He was a great waiter too, attentive, polite, and informative. Denny's food is really good. I love the pot roast dish.

We had David as a server, let me tell you he’s AWESOME! Amazing customer service. He had so much on his plate but that didn’t take away from his amazing personality. He made our experience good and wanting to continue coming to this location. Food was a plus.

I don't know if it's just this Denny's or all Denny's, but they are so underrated! It's insane how much food you can get here for so little money and it is really GOOD food. Nothing here is mediocre. Everything my husband and I have tried here is super good, from fries and hash browns to the veggie skillet to the pancakes and pancake puppies! The service is always excellent. We get refills on our sodas before we're even finished with our first glasses.

Great service and atmosphere. Our server was very attentive to our table and was a great host. She was courteous and her positive attitude definitely made our meal much better. I will definitely be back again. They also had bilingual servers (English and Spanish) which made my parents feel more at ease when ordering.

Mom and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast after her doctor appointment. Our go-to menu option is always from the 55+ menu as the portions are perfect! As we were preparing to leave, mom was struggling a bit to get up from the booth. As I approached mom on one side to help, server MIRIAM approached mom on the opposite side. She was there to help me get my mom up. What an amazing gesture of kindness! Thank you MIRIAM for being so kind!!!

We've eaten there now 2 x's in a week and both times the waiter, Erik, was on the floor so he waited on us. He went over n above his job to help us. I was coughing, and he immediately brought me some warm water to help! The food is so delicious. The Grand slam is on sale. The bourbon chicken skillet is so filling. We love the atmosphere there, too, cuz the music isn't too loud, so we can hear ourselves talk! The bussing of the tables was rather quick, too..other restaurants, you watch how the tables stay dirty! Hours would go before the tables would be bussed!!

Stopped in on a bustling Thanksgiving morning for a classic breakfast, and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly despite the holiday rush, and the food came out surprisingly fast. Prices were on par with other spots in the area, so no complaints there. Bonus points for the coffee mugs with funny sayings—they added some humor to the morning. We were able to sit down immediately even with a party of six. Half our party went to wash their hands but they got those who sat down drinks right away and then as soon as the others got to the table got there. 10/27/2025 Stopped in today at Denny's for breakfast after fasting for my lab appointment. I was greeted by Alonso who also turned out to be my server. I ordered the Denver Omelet with sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese which was yummy. I also had a nice hot cup of coffee. The place was hopping and the ambiance positive and peaceful. Highly recommended 1/27/2025 Stopped into Denny's this morning for breakfast. Samantha seated me in a nice booth and took my order. I am a creature of habit and ordered the Denver omelet with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes not to mention a cup of Java. Samantha was efficient, kind and professional. The ambiance was peaceful and the food quite good. The breakfast of champions lol. Recommended. Previous visit Stopped by Denny's on El Toro for breakfast and ordered the Denver Omelet with sliced tomatoes. I also had a coffee and OJ. The manager and server were both very professional and kind. This is Denny’s, it’s pretty solid in the sense it’s Denny’s and you know what you’re gonna get. So if you’re reading this, I’m not sure what you’re expecting? Food is, you know, Denny’s quality. I was here more than 100 times. Denny’s is a place where I go to when I need a good old style breakfast. They have such a huge menu, that I think everybody will be able to find something they love in it. And the service, from people who know their job, and know how to make a customer satisfied. Go Denny’s!

We went there for a Sunday morning breakfast. No matter how crowded the restaurant, the staff is friendly and on the ball. The food was good and the portions were more than enough. All of us left full and couldn't finish our meals. I had coffee, oatmeal, fruit and scrambled eggs.

Had not visited Denny's for a while, it was actually pretty good, I had French toast breakfast and was great except for the orange juice, diluted in too much water.

Never asked how I wanted my steak cooked. (I just left ER after 10 hrs), so it came out well done. No energy to send it back. Just make sure you tell them.

Never thought I would enjoy the food at Denny's. This Denny's is special. The manager is a worker. He doesn't just sit back and let his employees do all of the work. My husband and I have gotten to know him and he recognizes us when we come to eat. The servers are great as well. They know what they are doing. They are able to take your order and get it right the first time. The food is hot, tasty and done right. I would recommend that you try THIS Denny's for yourself. You will be very pleased.

Good service. Good value for the money. The only negative is that they offer the AARP discount only between 2pm-5pm. They said this was due to the financial hit they suffered during the pandemic. However, the Denny's in Foothill Ranch offers the discount all day long.

Hubby and I decided to spend a low key Thanksgiving. We saw a movie and then went to Denny's. Neither one of us had been to Denny's for about 10 years. On a holiday we were not expecting much. We were wrong. The hostess was friendly and professional, seemed happy to be helping us. The waitress was caring, attentive and helpful with my special order. This was such a nice experience we plan to come back.

Reliable fare for breakfast, and reasonably priced. Coffee is flavorful and not watered down. Service depends on the volume of people in the restaurant, but haven't had major problems with getting my food hot and within a reasonable amount of time.

We've been coming to this store for over 30 years, mostly for breakfast. It's clean. The service is great (ask for Juan!) and the eggs are ALWAYS cooked properly. Nice folks running it. Very clean!

This is the nicest Denny's in our area but it does need to be updated. I do appreciate the plastic dividers they've kept up since COVID as it adds an element of privacy. The manager does a really good job keeping things clean and serving good food, fast.

It was a very busy breakfast rush but my waitress filled my coffee and water quicker than I could drink it. I ordered the French toast strawberry and cream and it looked almost as good as it tasted and it was delicious.

Great Senior AARP and senior meals on Menu +15% discount with AARP valid card. Truly enjoyed. Yes substitute veggies for potatoes. Had salmon grilled to perfection- loved herb seasoning.

Fast, reliable and friendly service. Easily accessible location. Parking can be a little tight at peak hours.

We told the waitress that we'd like a dessert intending that she could have it ready and we wouldn't have to wait. She didn't put that order in until we were ready for it and then we had to wait for it to be made. That was irritating. She clearly didn't get it. We wouldn't have waited for it except that she brought it out as we were ready to leave.

It’s Denny’s. Expectations aren’t very high. But a place I have been visiting for 32 years, still descent food and happy workers. Sandwich had too much mayo, but over all satisfying. A large group of us went there after burying my friend’s father and it felt good. Thank you.

I go frequently. Last Wed. 6 of us went to Foothill Ranch. Dined alfresco. Service was slow. When our food finally came, the tray went to 2 tables first to drop off drinks and silverware. Our food was taking the patio tour before coming to us. Always a 5 star experience . This time, not so much. They were not that busy at 2pm. Less than half the tables had guests. 2-4 at each.. Trying the one on El Toro today Wish.me luck.

Been to this Denny's 2 times friendly waitress and manager clean restaurant I like to go right after work I get off work a at 6am so it's nice and quiet love my Denver omelet can't go wrong with that recommend it

The music was out of control when we had breakfast here. Loud and random. The service was not particularly friendly. The menu seems reduced in both variety and quantity from pre-Covid days. There might be better places to spend $15 for breakfast.

There is a reason why these coffee shops have never taken off in terms of sales and profitability. The old coffee shop mentality is still stuck in the 80's with a food that tastes as flat and as boring as it did 40 years ago. Just checking out once in a while to see if they have any uplifting menu that at least looks good and appetizing on the pictures. Medium rare steak is cooked nearly on one side and barely cooked on the other.

Some staff members are not that friendly, and you could hear a woman (I think it was the manager) describing loudly all her "love life adventures" to the cooks in the kitchen while she was by the cashier register. It wasn't nice, very improper, unethical, unprofessional. She would give you the "evil eye* if you dared to ask for something... I'm not eating there any longer and do takeout sometimes...

Denny's hasn't changed much over the years, although they've improved their pancake flavor and serve stronger, if not better, coffee. The service is adequate and this particular place is clean. The breakfast is always the best bet regardless of the time of day, and they're one of the few So Cal joints that serve grits...

Foods getting way overpriced! A small tiny dish of "oven baked" macaroni and cheese was $5. Not even 1/2 of a cup. And watery, no flavor and cold. "Oven baked".

The service could be better and the place cleaner. Our seats had bits of hash browns and grease marks. No one wiped it down before seating us and the table was dirty. After asking to have it cleaned the person left the seats and table completely wet! I had to ask for napkins to wipe the seats and table myself. The food came out but no silverware so we had to track someone down to ask.

I ordered the tablespoon steak with eggs. Fried hash Browns and sour dough bread. Tell the order to pick up or whoever she told you and I got the completely wrong order. She knew was wrong. The cook would unbreak. I want to go to this location because they know how to cook a steak properly. They need a new cook.

My friends and I like to get together late at night for a bite to eat and talk. Love Dennys for their menu and hours, but good luck getting your food anytime soon. The staff isnt very friendly, the bathrooms are not maintained, if you need a refill on something or are in need if more honey for your tea or cream for your coffee do not be surprised if they forget to bring you any. I wish they took more pride in their work so I wasn't always upset with the service when I leave. Jose seems to be the only attentive waiter at night

The service and food was great, but I was disappointed that I was unable to use any of my Denny's rewards when I went to pay. The server and manager simply said that they weren't accepting the rewards discounts or promos. I'm sure that if I had ordered delivery or pickup through the app that I would have been able to use them, but not so when dining in.

Good Food at dinner time however, the waiters and waitress, were very unattentive and lacked manners. Very annoying, how loud they spoke to each other in the back room and did not pay attention to details with the customers.. It takes a good manager to keep this kind of thing from happening, except in this case he was buddies with the help and was part of the loud noise. I would recommend a manager that spends his or her time watching the floor and making sure people are doing their job. I have been going to this store for the last many years and would like continue, but please bring back the earlier staff they were very respectful.

I came here with my family to enjoy some food. Sadly I found a bug in my lemonade. The server took long to come and check in on us so I was thirsty and eventually the waiter came after 10-15 minutes to give us our food. Then I told her about the issue and she simply gave us a new drink. I had lost my appetite and was still forced to pay for the lemonade. Not sure if I will be returning

Went here to celebrate my birthday. I showed the waitress my coupon for a FREE Value Slam. She took my order and ithe food was good. But then came time to pay the bill and was told they don't take coupons. The waitress didn't bother to inform me about their policy when I showed her the coupon. Don't come here if you expect to have a discount, because they wont tell you until its time to pay the bill.

Service was fast and the waiter was okay, it seemed clean... but the food was very oily and not in a nice way, and not everything mentioned online was available.

This place is really going downhill over the years. It used to be good but lately they take no pride in their work. Their idea of toast is warm buttered bread, the hash browns are barely warm let alone crispy and the bacon is cold and limp. I expressly told my server when I order that I wanted thanks crispy and cooked and I could tell he was not listening . I also told him that I was under a time crunch and sending things back was not going to work this I told him before I ordered. And I received one of the worst plates of food I've ever gotten from a Denny's. And this isn't the first time this has happened to me at this Denny's

I head in around 5:30-6:40am so there isn't a lot of customers which is nice. Order my usual with a cup of coffee. Certain employee comes at the right time asl if I need another cup. Great service. Great food. There is another client who gives you the bill while eating and cup of coffee is still full. Good place. I recommend this Dennis if you need breakfast early in the morning before work. *edit* I asked for mushrooms for my chicken steak and came undercook. I love mushrooms. But, It didn't look safe to eat yet. I asked if I can get them cooked a little longer and I recieved them over cooked. Looks like burnt bananas from a cuban place.

I'm not trying to be rude cause customer service was better than most places. But the 3 times I've been here, 2 of them had hair in my food and all times the food was mediocre at best and messed up my stomach at the worst. Even when I didn't get anything spicy or big. Isn't worth the price even if it was half off. Again, no offense to the waiters as they're only there to take our orders and put a smile on our faces.

I consider myself a fair person. I will give my honest fair review. When I arrived my Google Maps said "You Have Arrived". When I got there it was extremely dark. My wife and I honestly thought Denny's was closed due to the sign being turned off (photo enclosed). The service was slow due to short staffing. The food was fair, good temperature, good taste and portions. This Denny's decided NOT TO PARTICIPATE in Denny's corporate discounts (rewards) nor participate in a Military discount. The only discount it does have is AARP (mandatory I guess). The prices were slightly higher due to being Mission Viejo, Calif. The waiter mistakenly was charging me $15 extra. I pointed out this discrepancy, which he quickly apologized and provided me with the correct amount. The OWNER should really reconsider providing the average discount as most DENNY'S do. I will not be returning to this Denny's. The inside was clean but dark in certain areas.

I got here at 0500. I noticed that there was no 55+ items on the menu. The waiter said that the night menu doesn’t include the 55+ and that the menu changes at 0600. 30 years ago we talked about restaurants reducing or eliminating the seniors menus once the boomers hit retirement. It is happening. The food is good but expensive. The service was very good.

I was given burnt food and not just a little burnt black on the bottom cheese with Crispy not melty they forgot about my food on the stove... and they do not celebrate birthdays there you will not get a free ice cream...

Tonight my family went to have Christmas dinner together. My husband had the turkey dinner. Towards the end of the meal my husband found a long black hair in his food. We told the waitress and she was nice and offered another dinner. My husband was finished eating nor did he want another plate. We asked if they can discount his plate. As we were waiting for the waitress we could hear the cook yelling in Spanish that there is no one in the kitchen with long black hair and if they want a black hair he can put one in our food, among other rude things he was saying about us. We were out in the dining room and could hear him loud and clear. I’m sure other people heard it too. After all that my husband’s $12.00 plate was discounted $3.00. We will not be dining here anymore! Very

Probably the biggest retirement community in California and both of the Denny's do not take AARP discount. This one does from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. only. What's the point Denny's?

Servers are always busy and never even get to getting a refill when dining in. When ordering pickup, the order is never taken until we arrive at the restaurant. (15-20min wait) has gone down hill completely. Would definitely not recommend

I ordered a omelette as to-go with white bread as a side, and I got a bread with molds. Probably it happened because we ordered it as to-go, but I personally don’t think it’s appropriate...

Everything is good at Denny's. We go there every now and then. I did like what happen last time, and we're disappointed. We didn't got served right away. Some customers came after us and they got served right away. We waited more than 30 minutes before we got served. I don't know who's in charge left side of the restaurant, we just took the attention of Ms. Brenda to take our orders.... I hope that it won't going to happen again next time......

Although the employees were fairly nice my food was horrible. I decided to order pot roast as I wanted something more tender to eat. However I got tough and chewy meat in cubes atop mashed potatoes. It did NOT look appetizing. Saying I was disappointed is an understatement.

No birthday free meal, but APP actually show me that there offer the birthday breakfast meal. That's sucks in my husband birthday :(

I have a problem with franchises that don't follow what the corporate office dictates. I also have a problem with "24 hour" establishments that close their doors for whatever reasons. 1) This franchise is NOT 24 hours. 2) This franchise DOES NOT honor coupons issued by Denny's corporate office. Nor do they honor any other coupons or discounts, EXCEPT military and AARP. And the AARP discount is ONLY during specific days and times. I won't darken the doorstep of a franchise which is so blatantly NOT following the corporate mandate.
