12/21/24 - our server was Sarah. She was great, friendly, checked in a few times, and could be seen cleaning up behind the bar when not with customers. Gratuity is included on the check and this is clearly stated on the menu at the top so good to know ahead of time. I got a beyond burger which was pretty good and then basic fries which I could have used either more seasoning or more salt. There was a very light sprinkle of seasoning in on them, just not enough. The fries were fresh, and hot though! We definitely want to come back for dinner and try out the bar.

I went for Sunday brunch. The food was great customer service was great. I had shrimp and grits and fried catfish. My catfish fillet was huge and seasoned and fried to perfection. It made up for the small portion of shrimp and grits you get. We also had a mimosa pitcher. I took away a star because just about every table outside was full and they only had one waitress so our food and water took a little while to come out. Also the mimosa pitcher is really small for $30 and you only get 5 shrimp in the shrimp and grits. I can see where parking can be a hassle but it's much better than most places in Avondale. Overall I enjoyed the experience and I would definitely go back.

I’ve been a few times and my previous experiences were great but the experience I had today kinda ruined it for me. I get the boom boom shrimp all the time because they are so good but this time they didn’t cook the shrimp all the way so it was very mushy in the middle. The fried green tomatoes were bomb but I think the portion size is a little small. My only and biggest issue was with our waitress. She was really sweet and kind but I feel like she was a little shady when splitting the bill. She split everything on the handheld reader and just told us the total, and we paid with our cards and she didn’t offer a receipt, or have us sign anything which I thought was weird. I ask for a paper receipt and she printed one out and a gratuity was added to the bill to a party of 3. They might have signage saying that gratuity is added but I don’t remember seeing anything. I still think it’s a great place to get a late night snack but beware! To be honest I won’t be coming back.

Food was really delicious. Love the outdoor setup. Indoor area is a little cramped. Parking is pretty good considering it is Avondale. Now for the not so good: Either we can't read, or their pricing is hella confusing. I don't understand how 5 whole wings can be $14.99 on the menu but ring up $25.99? What tax schedule are they using?? The catfish was also ringing up differently (thankfully lower) but my loaded fries were also higher. And over $3 for a 20 oz bottle is a bit much?? Is it just me? Anyway, I would go again but definitely question the pricing (Our waitress had enough trouble with three card readers so at that point I was just ready to go)

The food was decent, but it taste like fast food and price was like Salt grass. The price on the menu says one thing then when you pay it’s overcharged. Definitely didn’t like being mislead. I wouldn’t go back.

The food is awful the prices ridiculous for what they give you. It was my 1st time there. I ordered the cheeseburger meal and the Shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was over cooked. The hamburger was under cooked and had an odor to it. I sent it back by the waitress and asked for something different in it's place. The manager said I can discount your food but I can not replace it. I only had taken a small bite from the evidently gone bad burger. I asked to see the manager. She came out and finally agreed to give me the 3 whole wing plate. Just that 3 wings. When I got my ticket. She charged me for the hamburger plate which cost more than the chicken plate and she took off the chicken plate. Then charged a $7 gratuity. I just chopped that money up as a charity donation. I wouldn't recommend this place period. Maybe for water and the music the outdoors atmosphere. But eat before you get there. Enjoy, because I'll never return.

I usually don't leave reviews, but my lunch here was awful. The boneless wings were fine which is why it's two stars instead of one. Sweet potato fries were soggy and flavorless except for the brown sugar poured on top which was way too sweet. The mozzarella sticks came with a pitiful amount of marinara sauce and tasted EXACTLY like shrimp. I genuinely don't know how you even get fried cheese to taste this much like shrimp. $8 mozzarella sticks that were completely inedible. Very disappointing because it looks like a cool spot, but I won't be coming here for food again.

I am very disappointed with my recent order placed on 1/24/26. The wings I ordered were extremely hard and overcooked ,so much so that my grandmother could not even eat them. If she was alive . On top of that, the lemon pepper wings had little to no seasoning at all.None period. Please check your food before you leave this place . Based on the quality of the food, I feel this was unacceptable and not worth what I paid. I am requesting a full refund for this order. Pickup Order #58477-1

This establishment used to be decent. After being away I came to support it and get good food, I thought. Instead I was met with nice nasty attitude from the waitress, to an empty room and a 18% gratuity that was charged by her being sneaky by not wanting to give me the receipt to pay. I get home and she gave herself another tip. Well I’ll be there tomorrow and getting my money back. Ripping off customers for $20 extra is ridiculous. If I don’t get my money back I’m filling a charge of theft.

While Munchies maybe a great place to others it was not good to me my first experience there was a horrible one my food was greasy to the point when I picked it up to eat it was dripping with grease , the waitress took my appetizer before I was done with it then caught an attitude because I told her I was not finished with it, not to mention my husband food was not correct either the service and experience is not one i would want to experience again oh and how quickly can I forget the waitress that caught the attitude tried inviting me back for valentines I told her we will NEVER step foot in here again! But shout out to our real waitress he was dope and very apologetic about the experience we had

This is the $20 sampler platter SLOP they thought we were about to eat. It was ice cold and looks a mess. The waiter was drunk and kept going back and forth outside disappearing. 0/10. Would NEVER return. Don’t waste y’all money
