Shockingly good sushi for a small mountain town. The sashimi and specialty rolls are great, and their “oodles of noodles” are a great deal and an even better way to fuel up after a long day climbing
We got into bishop a little late, but we figured it would be easy to find good food in the area around 9pm, right? Nope. Every place we checked, even places that had bars and called themselves a roadhouse were in fact closing when we got in. We went to Yamatani largely because it was the only place we could find open and boy, were we in for a surprise. I ordered the shrimp tempura with a spicy tuna roll and my wife ordered the sukiyaki. The miso came out first, and I have to say, at least because we'd been eating a lot of road food, that miso was so unctuous and delicious and simple like it should be. It probably wouldn't have been as good if we weren't half starved for decent food by that point but it just was that perfect thing we didn't know we needed. Then our main dishes came out. My wifes suki yaki was presented very lovingly for what is essentially a chicken and vegetable hot pot. She kept raving about how good every little bit of that was and how well it was cooked and I had to say the same for my tempura. It was actually crispy and sweet and delicious and I couldn't think of a single complaint other than the rice was a little plain, which seems silly to complain about(a little toasted sesame or some pickles on top really would have hit the spot however.) Then, we received our spicy tuna which was exactly like you want it to be, a bit meaty, a bit spicy, and a little bit fruity and toasty. A perfect spicy tuna roll and none of that excessive mayo that you see around a lot. All in all, we were blown away by what we expected to be a so so meal elevated to a really great level by a great staff using great ingredients.
Very friendly service. The food was delicious. Plenty of staff so service was quick. The Poke was very good.
Great quality sushi at great value prices. Very happy,
This is the best restaurant I believe in Bishop! Great staff! Angie was our waitress and she explained items we were unsure of so well. We highly highly recommend this restaurant
Always my go to for special occasions. Iur waiter was awesome. Made fine suggestions that were off the menu. Again, had a great time!
This place is great. Super friendly, great food, and quality sushi. Say hi to Robbie behind the sushi bar.
Who would of thought that I could get good sushi in the middle of the desert. I was craving sushi on my trip and was pleasantly surprised. A awesome Japanese family runs it and they have been in business for over 20 years. I ordered the unagi roll and the deep fried Robbie roll yummy.
Was seated in a nice table, ordered egg rolls they were terrific. ordered my Crunchy roll and the steamed vegetables, the vegetables come with the most amazing dip sauce. I highly recommend the place
The employees here were litterly running around trying to get the food out as fast as possible. This place is filled with people coming down from the mountain at mammoth so I would highly suggest getting a reservation. The lady at the front was so delightful even tho she was on the phone moving menus around and every other thing you could imagine.
Very clean with good food and friendly staff. There is a dining area, a sushi bar and a bar with television if you want to catch the game. Waitress was very attentive and professional. Recommended for a quick lunch or a nice dinner.
I have eaten at this restaurant for most of my life and always love it. Tonight's dinner was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. It was delicious and cooked very well.
Super great sushi. The flavor has increased over the years coming here and the quality has gone up for sure. The service is also super great. Roxanne and Robi do a stellar job running the place. Keep it up!
Sushi in the high desert of eastern California? That's what they said. Thanks to the ease of travel between Bishop and LA you can get really tasty fresh sushi hundreds of miles from the coast at an elevation of 4,000 feet. Robbie was behind the bar when I was there in February 2020. It was pretty busy (Sat night), but he was happy to talk during the lulls. He gets fresh product delivered daily from LA on an ice truck. You will also find a fly fishing trophy behind his work space. He has been fishing on the Owens River for a long time. Really interesting guy. His lovely wife (didn't get her name) was in the restaurant as well that night.
Always busy, good bar, fun staff. The sushi here is phenomenal, and everything else on the menu is great. Good place to check out of you're passing though
Very good selection of sushi and entrees for those that don't like fish. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the sashimi dinner with a side order of uni. Will definitely return.
Great service and knowledgeable staff. Much busier than I expected. Slightly odd that the Katsu dishes didn't have any Taksu curry sauce (which is common in Japan in my experience). They did however have tonkatsu sauce. Maybe that's just normal in the USA. The Japanese beers are mostly brewed under license outside Japan but they did have bottles of Orion from Okinawa.
We passed through Bishop a couple of years back and were recommended this sushi restaurant by our hotel. We were a tad surprised to find this place in a bowling establishment. And were, er, bowled over (sorry) by it. Genuinely impressed (my wife's all time favourite sushi place). We suggested they open up a branch in London, but apparently that's a bit far. Do go, you won't be disappointed. Great value to boot.
This place had top notch service; the food tasted like it was prepared by a top chef on a television show; and the atmosphere was cozy, which was a surprise. With their menu and service, they could be located on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, but they opted for a small town? Total shock. If you pass through Bishop, California this is a must stop!
Our server Bri was Amazing, always making sure we were taken care of. And Jessica did an amazing job with our dinner ( also Robbie also did an amazing job on our dinner).. the hostess with the mostess is always a treat, and so very nice. My wife and I had an excellent evening, And we will always be coming back!!! Thanks for the great evening... P.S. come by coppertop!!!
We didn't expect to find a sushi restaurant on our road trip, especially not one that served such great fish! We really enjoyed the food, friendly service, and decent prices and would highly recommend this spot if you're looking for Japanese food. It's clearly popular with the locals, so expect some wait time if you don't show up early.
I was here with close friends and tried a walk in, unfortunately that particular night they were full.. the owner made sure to save me spot the next day. She was amazing, we spoke about the place and since I was familiar with Shogun in Mammoth as well. I was a regular client before I moved out of town. Thanks everyone, it was amazing again. Sylvestre
I have eaten here several times, and it is always good quality and decent size cuts. The service is always good.... you really can't go wrong eating here, price point is on par for what you get. Don't get scared when you walk in, and it looks empty... it is good, sushi and the other options are very good as well, the kid loves it.
All the food was very delicious, and I showed up about 30 minutes before closing, but everyone was awesome and very understanding. All the food came out promptly, and the price was unbeatable compared to some other restaurants I have been to. If I ever find myself in Bishop again, I will have to stop by again!
Omakase was excellent, service was tip top, a definite gem.
I haven’t been able to find another sushi restaurant that can make a pokie bowl like Robby does. After leaving the area I how amazing and rare his pokie is. Every one I try to order now is a salad or rice bowl with a little fish on it. And they can’t even get the sauce right.
We got take out from here during our last trip to Bishop. The food was absolutely delicious. The fish was fresh and the rolls were beautifully presented. The portions were generous. The gyozas were very flavorful. The tempura was light and crispy. . The lady taking our order was kind, attentive and very helpful. Overall a wonderful experience! Everyone in our party enjoyed his or her food. We can’t wait to come back and support this business again! .
Bri was our server and the experience was absolutely amazing. THE BEST FOOD IN BISHOP and if you havent ate here yet you are missing out
If you're looking for sushi on your drive then this is the stop you need to make. While it is a little pricey the food is well worth it as o have never been disappointed. the owner seems to be there every day with a smile on his face and a fire in his heart for cooking. The decor is very nice and it has splashes of historic and modern design. There can be a bit of a wait if you come during peak which seems to be from around 4 or 6 to about 6 or 8 (not sure myself but Google will tell you).
It was insanely busy when we went but we were offered a spot at the bar. We had great service! The bartender was awesome. The calamari was not my favorite calamari but it was still good. The sushi I got was great.
Loved the atmosphere! Food and service are great. We also ran into a couple of fun locals. Loved the sushi bar and the chef is really friendly.
First time to Yamatani tonight and it was awesome! Driven by a million times and always want to stop. We stayed in Bishop for this ski trip instead of Mammoth, and it was my birthday so decided to try. We sat at the sushi bar and Robbie was wonderful and made the best sushi. Can’t wait for the next ski trip to come back.
A Bishop favorite. Great food. Great service. Nice dining area. Three of us had delicious fresh Sushi & Sashimi. Excellent Hamachi, like on the coast. Oyster shooter was not like anything ever tasted.
Great family-owned & operated place in a convenient location. Fast, friendly service and very tasty sushi. We come back every time we’re in town! If the tables are booked, try the sushi bar or cocktail bar to get in faster.
Surprisingly excellent fish quality all the way in the eastern Sierra! I also happened to be there on noodle night and the sambal noodles were quite tasty. The owners are very friendly, being the host and the sushi chef, and the atmosphere is classic and casual. The prices are as expected for this quality of food in a remote city. Highly recommend. My favorite place in Bishop.
So amazing to find such fresh raw fish and ikura in this area in Sierra valley. All dishes were really tasty. The price is also very reasonable.
They were amazing! Loved the restaurant and food and atmosphere. Our server Bree was also wonderful! She did an amazing job! Was so fun!
My wife and I have been dining at this fantastic Japanese restaurant for 10+ years. The ambiance is inviting, and the menu offered is delightful. It’s family owned and Roxanne is the best. Must try when in bishop.
Wow wow wow!!! Who Would've Thought Bishop would have such an awesome Japanese restaurant! It was a pleasant surprise to come in and try their food here. The salmon bellies, $3 chicken wings, tempura, and katsu were quite delicious. More than what I would have expected in a small town like Bishop. But the place was packed! I think the locals know this is a really good place for Japanese food. There can be quite a wait, so be prepared if you're coming on the weekend or busy travel day. They have a full bar too, in case you need to warm up with some alcohol. They have a good selection of Japanese beers as well! Shaelee took great care of us!

Great authentic food in an unlikely town. Very high quality food, a great setting an good service.
An excellent meal. I recommend the combo meal which came with a large breaded pork cutlet, a large chicken breast in teriyaki sauce, a salad, a soup, and a bowl of rice! For the price it filled me up , and probably could of been enough for two normal sized people to share. I also got the unagi nigiri, but feel like $12 for two pieces was alot to ask. They are closed Sunday/Monday or I would have taken my crew there.
We went for St. Valentine dinner. Absolutely delicious, every time we have been there, we have never been disappointed. Roxanne the is a wonderful Lady. Service is great and the staff are very friendly. Thank you all.

The food is good. They have decent vegetarian options too. Oyster shots are amazing
Really good sushi and great friendly staff! Only reason for four stars is it’s pricier than sushi elsewhere, and they have no all-you-can eat lunch special or anything, but for the middle of nowhere, you can’t beat it.
We enjoyed the food. It was decent, not exciting but overall, good. I was happy that my tempura wasn't covered in too much batter. As local folks, we'll come here again.
1st timer customer here, good selection and fair prices. Food quality was great, sushi was fresh and delicious. One of the best Asian places to eat if your in town. Would definitely come back.
Good Japanese good, far better than I would expect in Bishop. I love coming to Bishop as it is the gateway of the Sierras but outside of Schat’s the food always lets me down, until now. We got the udon soup, a couple of rolls and the yellowtail collar and it was all good. This isn’t big city sushi but it’s a great option for Bishop.
Caught them on a day when open for inside seating ( call or check web on this: some days are carryout only).Celebrating my Birthday I tried their Sukuyaki which was delicious. Service was fine. Became a little crowded but tables spaced out pretty well.
This restaurant has a lot of heart. A couple owns and operates the place. He is the sushi chef (working along side his daughter), she handles the front of the house. Wait staff HUSTLES to cover the busy floor. Really enjoyed my visit.
Food was good but not amazing. The service however was great. The gentleman that served us ( I forget his name unfortunately) was top notch. He was clearly a skilled server and our entire party was happy with his service.
Just wish the teriyaki chicken wasn't so dry (thigh meat would have been so much better). Also, it should have been cut into bite sized pieces since they don't give you a knife.
The restaurant is conveniently located on Main Street with plenty of parking on the side and in the back. The host staff was friendly and the server was patient, efficient and very nice. We had many questions about the menu and he answered them and took his time with us. The prices were on the high side for what you get, but food was flavorful.
Great service and a nice feel to the place! Sushi rice wasn't quite right, perhaps the wrong grain. Still tasted good but just not like sushi I've had anywhere else. Sambal beef noodles were also OK. Maybe certain ingredients weren't available?
The food and sushi is sooo fresh and delicious 😋❤️ i am just sad that they are closed on sun and mon 👎 but other than that , the owners are soo sweet and helpful , the server's are very efficient and its always clean in there ❤️
Cool place with pretty good food. I didn't expect to find a sushi joint in Bishop, but we did and this place has some tip tier cuts. I recommend you come here to get your sushi fix while in Bishop.
Great Japanese restaurant. A bit of wait even when you are seated. The food is pretty good given that you are deep into the mountains.
Sushi is 5 star the combo meals are OK. The place can get a little loud. Good bar, no kids menu, still I see a lot of kids in there. Prices are good.

Waiter was great and attentive. Sushi roll fell apart and didn’t taste that good. Salmon Collar was very good. Hiyayakko was tasteless. Hardly any sauce, ginger, or bonito. Atmosphere feels like a Dennys which is weird for a Japanese restaurant.
We eat here often and really enjoy it. The food is fresh and delicious. The vibe is welcoming. Definitely recommend it!

The food here is decent but the prices are high. They are only open at dinner time. We like Japanese food and this is the only one in town. You can expect to pay about $5 to $10 more for the same food at a Japanese restaurant in a larger city.
Food was mediocre. Service was horrible. The guy didn't like his job and communicating with people. It's my first time not tipping a waiter.
I’ve been here several times and they were all very good. However, there was one time I sat in the bar area, and it took forever for us to get menu, food, or the check. The restaurant wasn’t that busy at that time. It just doesn’t make sense for a bartender to also server the bar area tables. This is so inefficient and creates very bad experience for diners at the bar area. Hope the restaurant can fix this.
My wife's dish had some issues which included the mizo soup being lukewarm, the teriyaki chicken pieces were tough as horse meat, and the salad greens were not fresh but wilted. Service was average timewise, and the server was pleasant. I ordered the Sushi boat which had good quality fish and nice a assortment. Sushi boat was $28 bucks and my wife's dish $19.
Food was decent when compared to other places I have had with the same selection. The bus boy was fantastic however our waitress was rude and snappy. Even though she forgot to put in the food.
This afternoon at 6 PM, I passed by Bishop with my daughter and ordered takeout from Yamatani—a Tomato Sushi for $5 and an Eel Cut Roll for $14. When we opened them, this is what they looked like. The eel roll only had five pieces; I’m not sure if it’s the same when dining in. However, they didn’t look appetizing at all.
The location was conveniently right next to my hotel. The service was excellent. My server was friendly, quick, and offered solutions to problems. She didn't stop moving around the dining room all night, but always had a pleasant disposition. My only issue is with the quality of my nigiri, which I'd been looking forward to. When I walked in, there was a specials sign for a Fried Baby Octopus appetizer, but they were out of it. The were also out of Toro & Uni. I know the price & availability of both of those items is hit or miss, but I'd specifically been excited about those two. I ended up getting Yellowtail Fin(?), which was another special, as a replacement. It was dry with very small cuts of fish. I also got the Tako and Seared Albacore. The octopus was unpleasantly rubbery & impossible to chew, even for Tako. The albacore was also dry. The Yellowtail and especially, the buttery rich Mackerel were the stars of the show, and saved my plate in the end.
It was ok. We all took mom out for her birthday on the 10th. The service was excellent. But I didn't care for the noodles at all. I got the dry noodle dish. I was very disappointed. The shrimp I ordered with it was great. Nothing like imperial gourmet which is my favorite of all oriental restaurants.
Nice variety from all of the American food in the area (not to mention the what, 2 Mexican restaurants?). It's not anything special, but it's a step up from some of the strip mall joints I've been to, despite being a few hundred miles from anywhere resembling a quality source of fish. Keep reasonable expectations and you won't be disappointed. Parking lot is also slightly too small. Not enough to cause a huge headache, but something to consider if you've got a large group.
Like many restaurants after the pandemic this place has gone downhill. Only go here if you don't care about the quality or spending money. I spent $100 on this dinner boat because the charge $32 per person. They counted my 1 year old and 4 year old as a person. I spent $300 dollars in total and felt robbed. The week before I went to an all you can eat sushi buffet in Reno for $25.99 a person and kids were $5. Same food and better quality. I definitely will not be back.

Never had a sushi roll that came looking like it would fall apart and did fall apart upon picking up with chopsticks. Service was also shoddy. Sat at the bar but was expected to conjure up the menu myself. And water came almost 10 minutes later. Granted, the servers were at least friendly.

Would NOT recommend. Only gave it two stars because food is edible and not suuper expensive. Got takeout, both the vegetarian and the fish rolls were not good. Plus they gave such little wasabi. Dishes are not always as described and taste is bland. Wish I had gone to the McDonald’s instead :/
This was a disappointment. Got the sashimi. Octopus quite rubbery and i got the sense many of the cuts were frozen. The salmon roe was not fresh compared to what I usually eat. I found the woman working the front counter, presumably the owner, to be quite unfriendly. Won't be coming back.
Decent food, but I got takeout and they gave me something I didn’t order instead of what I wanted, and charged me more for it. Didn’t realize until I got home, checked the food, then checked my credit card.
Honestly, for the money, the quality of sushi isn’t great. Super bland and minimal ingredients in the rolls. Spend a small amount more and go to mammoth for your sushi, it will be much more worth it. Wish we did that! Won’t be back. Only reason I gave two stars was because our server was really good.
Let me start by saying the hostess who was an older woman(possibly the owner) was very aloof and hardly acknowledged us. We waited for at least 10-15 minutes to be seated on a Friday night when there were at least 2-3 open tables. When we finally sat down and ordered our waitress was very friendly. The food was ok; the quality vs. price was not great. I mean, the white rice was pretty meh and almost dry. How does a Japanese restaurant serve so so rice, which is a staple food in their culture.
Just super meh. Not at all even remotely good sushi. Small portions for how pricey it was. Very bland sushi, tasted old and stale. Grocery store sushi is better quality. Service was average, waited at least 10 minutes to put in our order. Won't ever come here again.
Chicken teriyaki was dry. Salmon was way overcooked. Sushi rolls had way too much rice. The waiter was okay, but we constantly felt rushed to request things or take our order. We had questions, and he made us feel like he didn't have time to answer them and would walk away before we had finished trying to request something. But in his defense, the restaurant was busy. Still no excuse for a well trained waiter. Overall, I would not recommend this place, but I believe it's the only sushi place in that area.
I would like to give this restaurant a 5 star because the food is truly amazing. But I can not. On 7 different occasions i have called and no one answered. When the times it did get answered I was greeted by an unfriendly phone rep Roxanne. She was always rude on the phone. Not very helpful and seemed like I was a bother. I know it gets busy there but if that is the case hire some extra help and get someone on the phone that has skills in hospitality. I went in to pick up an order and again Roxane was there and was rude. I asked her if the order happened to be ready she said no. So I waited of course. The whole time my food was right there on the counter. There was only another customer there and the same thing happened to him. He and I were talking about our experience their that night. I hope things can change in future to provide better servic. Food is great
Nice restaurant, polite and fast service but we went there strictly for maki sushi, looked delicious but were not that great... Miso soup was good though ;)

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Walked in and the hostess didn't even acknowledge us, but seated the people who entered after us right away, then proceed to chat it up with them for several minutes. Needless to say, we walked out...rather give our money to another local business (Back Alley Restaurant) who values their customers and serves great food.
The exprience was bad and unproffesional took over a hour and a half to recieve while the restaurant was slow after the meal the owner chased us out in order to ask for more tip
Wait for a table was close to an hour, staff was rude. Was served water with broken glass in it when someone near us got into a fight and shattered a dish. Pointed it out and received no apology.
Worst sushi, by far, I've ever had, and that includes prepackaged stuff in grocery stores. In fact, it's the only bad sushi I've ever had. We ordered 3 rolls, two of them completely tasteless and the third (Rattlesnake) with a fishy smell. My wife and I still keep talking about how tasteless the veggie roll was. Maybe other items on the menu are good, and maybe even other sushi is ok, and the chef was having a bad day (as suggested by good reviews by others) .... but I wouldn't risk it.
1) Meat quality is poor - I spit out multiple Hard pieces of cartilage from my chicken and the beef was so scorched that is was like chewing leather 2) Hostest is better than you - She is clearly the owner or manager, and her demeanor is uninviting at best. Walks around with her nose in the air, lacked preparation, and the group of 6 in front of us walked out because she was rude to them 3) Atomosphere - could use some work 4) Inefficient - Needs an efficiency manager or someone with a background in front end operations. No order, opened 18 minutes late and the staff scrambled or fumbled every step 5) Gyoza was okay
Owner/waiter when entering scolded our group of 6 for having dusty shoes and complained about us brining dust into her restaurant. Then when a member of our group was looking at her map was then told not to touch her map with out asking. Owner was extremely rude and uninviting even with a large group.
Small portions, forced 10% tipping on “carry out” orders... tell the manager to remove the SVC Charge or they can keep their order. I tip when a server provides service during the dining experience, a bag of food on a counter does not count.
We ordered a spicy seafood salad, spicy tuna roll, “stuffed tomato”(a sushi roll), and chicken teriyaki. I have to say that the sashimi they used in the rolls and the salad really did taste and feel like they were defrosted. I’m not a sashimi expert, but it was the worst quality of sashimi I’ve ever had. The chicken had tiny bones in it and the sauce was too salty. For a $16 teriyaki, the side dishes were too weak— just a lettuce salad with miso (which was also too salty). Lastly, the green tea i ordered tasted watered down. They still seem to be thriving which I find it hard to believe but they are in a great location and they seem to be the only Japanese restaurant in the area. They have good customer service, good ambiance with clean and cozy vibe. I suggest they invest into the quality of the food. I won’t recommend if you are a regular sashimi eater and you care about the quality.
First and last time we will go here. The group seated about 5 minutes after us got their food a couple minutes after we got half our waters. We waited 30 minutes for our waiter and he only came because we started making more noise and he couldn't ignore us anymore. Our food didn't show up until 30 minutes later. When it did, there was hair in the octopus, hair in the rice, two hairs in our boat meal, and a black ant crawling on our friend's bowl. We went on a Wednesday night with an hour and 20 minutes to eat and ended up wolfing down our food in the last 15 minutes of our visit and taking part of it to go. The people behind us left at the same time we did and had a nice leisurely meal. We didn't have time to complain as we had to go get the kids. I'm calling today to complain.
Starting off with the good, staff was attentive (but not friendly). The atmosphere was lively. I had the Calamari & Tonkatsu combination dinner plate and the crunchy roll. Food was flavorless, with zero seasoning. Calamari was beyond rubbery. I'm not sure how they managed to make a worse crunchy roll than Vons. Paid almost $90 for 2 people for the most mediocre Japanese meal I've ever had.
We waited an hour for our meal to come. Despite asking to cancel, our server insisted that the food would come within a minute. The salmon teriyaki and chicken katsu finally came out after an hour but we were then told there was no rice. We were still expected to pay full price. The salmon also has all of its pi bones…. $60 is insane for this kind of service.
It sucks that I'm giving this place a 1 star when I was so excited to finally try this restaurant. I come into for work often and have struggled to find food that fits my palate. I live off of Japanese food and was hoping this would be a new spot for my firm to have our group dinners since we all love Japanese food. I told them about this place and that I couldn't try it out last trip so I was going to go this time and report back. My report back will be they're rude and we should never use their services. I waited patiently in line with everyone else to be attended to. I was skipped over and not even acknowledged. I brushed it off the 1st and even the 2nd time when she sat 2 ppl without reservations who were behind me at the last spots at the sushi bar, which was where I planned to sit since I was solo. It was until I said hey what about me that I was even acknowledged. I thought about continuing to wait but was annoyed since I'd only be able to get takeout since she skipped me and gave away the last seats. It really sucks 😕 and kinda ruined my evening.
I have to express my disappointment with this experience. The tempura sweet potato was severely undercooked, and the sushi barely met average standards. As for the teriyaki steak.. I never had something worse than this before. Despite several open tables, we were made to wait a couple of minutes before being seated. Our party consisted of two adults and a toddler, and we were given a small corner table, positioned uncomfortably close (perhaps just an inch) to the area where dirty plates were piled up. A screen separated our chairs from this unsightly scene, but it was so close and unclean that it left a rather unpleasant feeling while dining. During our meal, my son was making some noise. I took him out of the restaurant immediately after like 1 minute. But while this happened, there was a waiter behind the screen who responded in a rather rude and sarcastic manner, saying, "Really? Really? Take him away!" Finally, when I approached the counter to settle the bill, what appeared to be the manager remarked, "Your son is quite vocal, isn't he?" In my overall experience in the United States, I've always found people to be friendly and courteous. This was the first time I encountered such rudeness and arrogance.
Upon entering Yamatani Japanese Restaurant our group of 6 were immediately scolded by the hostess/owner about our shoes being dusty and how we were going to get her carpet dirty. Still waiting close to 10 minutes in a seemingly empty restaurant we were scolded a second time for touching the pins on the world map. “That’s for customers to put where they’re from, you have to ask first” she hissed. We eventually were shown our seats. After sitting for a few minutes all 6 of us agreed the absolute rudeness was enough to up and leave. We didn’t place an order or order any drinks. Our group consists of 40 and 50 year olds from out of the county. Terrible service.
We went in when they opened at 430 on a Saturday wanting cocktails and apps, Nd possibly our whole dinner...That was the best part of our experience. I will spare everyone the rest of the story.... by saying the bartender was a d.c.k. he was angry. Slammed our waters down threw us menu's. I asked him how he was ..he said I'll be fine in 4 hours.. we walked out . So I can't tell you how the food was. We ended up at the whiskey grill.
I am a 50 year old man and I have never been told off two times before I even sit down. The owner complained about my shoes being dusty from the desert and I shouldn't be bringing the dust into her restaurant. Then my friend put a pin in the map the shows were customers are from and the owner told him off because he did not ask first to put a pin in the map. So we left after all six of us sat down...we all could not believe how we were treated in less than three minutes.
Second try. Terrible food. Limited menu. Small servings .. "rolls" look like 1/2 rolls, which would be OK because they don't taste great, but they're still priced like regular sushi rolls. Tiny bit of wasabi. Calamari dip was almost tasteless. Teriyaki beef was fatty. Overall awful - will never go back. Waitress was nice.
We had dinner here last night! The hostess was terribly rude. The ribeye teriyaki was all grizzle and it was the worst yellowtail roll I have ever had, even the soft shell crab was terrible. The bartender was working extra hard and the cocktails were good.
